Cavalese hotels

Pros: The hotel is in a beautiful location. Everything was clean. Friendly staff at reception. The hotel has a great pool with sauna. Except for the waiters' behavior, we liked the hotel.

Cons: Personal in the restaurant was uncomfortable. The waitresses had a problem serving us and they were making grins on us. It spoiled the overall impression of the hotel. I think they shouldn't afford it. It has never happened to us.

Pros: Quiet, fabulous location on a hill with new buildings and very comfortable environment

Pros: Interior design of the Hotel is excellent. Very lovely and cute. Staff is friendly. View from the room was on the mountain. Location was 3 minutes walking to the lifts on the mountain. Breakfast was a good one. Big gym.

Cons: Really was frustrated with shower. It was leaking on the floor. And when you switch on water in the shower it falls down on the ground and breaks. The gym wasn't equiped with water ans swipes.

Pros: SPA is great and very modern with Sauna, Turkish Bath and many other things you can do. We choosed this hotel because of the SPA. I would suggest to extend the SPA opening time up to 7.30/8pm.

Cons: SPA closes at 7pm. Too early to my opinion. We travelled a long way and we could not stay more than 30’. Swimming pool is still under a renovation process so you cannot use it at all. Ski/boots room is run-down on the garage area because of all the renovation happening. Basic rooms have still carpet. I could not change it unless an upgrade. I am aware those are much cheaper that the new bedrooms, this is ok but the mattress is also quite uncomfortable. Old bathroom. Overall you can see the difference between the new area and the old style one. Staff could have been much more friendly.

Pros: The bed was comfortable and the location is good if you want to be close to the slope, not that good if you want to eat and enjoy the city.

Cons: We are going to Cavalese for 4 years now, and always wanted to stay at La Roccia. It seemed so nice and cozy with the spa and pools, but unfortunately for us was disapointing. First of all, we were announced that the pools are closed due to rennovation, only after we booked. They offered free entrance to the comunal baths though, but it would have been nice to know before, not after. Second, the hotel has very very thin doors, therefore, if you are the 'lucky' one, you can hear evertything that it's being discussed from your bed.. The breakfast was a joke. No offence. It was in a big room with tables that seemed from the old days, with very few variations of food. Not sure if this was something permanent or it was served there due to rennovations, but it was really not worth it. Also, nowbody asked if we want a coffee or so..We went only once, in 5 days. The gym was not working in the afternoon, due to some problems with the light (really??). So we skipped that one as well. The employees were ok, pretty nice, but we needed once a small favour (to have the breakfast taken our from our bill, as we did not eat there at all - and they were aware of that, one of them actually recognized that he never saw us at the breakfast) but it was of course, not accepted :) Our bathroom was having an issue with the shower cabin and the entire bathroom was full of water after one simple shower.

Cons: The room was much too small for a four stars hotel, the bathroom was poorly furnished, the hotel is undergoing renovation works which make it uncomfortable at the moment. The spa is not available at the moment, so the price is the one of a four stars hotel, but its facilities are less then the ones of a three stars plus. To be revaluated after restoration.

Pros: Everything. Faultless. Wonderful staff. Delicious fresh healthy substantial breakfast. Very clean room with wonderful bathroom/shower. Front desk suggested fabulous mountain hike and great lunch spot. Location perfect in the centre of town. We travelled as two couples and we all rate hotel as a perfect stay

Pros: Very elegant and cozy hotel. I reserved a room at this property because it looked very cozy and I always choose family-owned businesses. We really liked the hotel's design - an historical building with very modern and sophisticated interiors - as well as the cleanliness and friendly personnel. We had dinner included, and the menu offered a great choice. The food was really great! We did not manage to try out the wellness area, due to the shot stay. We are hoping to come back soon with our friends :) Highly recommended, a bang for the buck!

Pros: The location is goog, in the center of Cavalese. To the Alpe Cermis cable way - 10 minutes walk. The parking is near hotel. The hotel is clean and modern although it is in traditional style decorated. The sauna area is good, clean. There is a sauna, turkish bath, jacuzzi and relax room. All the photos on the site are correct.

Cons: Very strange designer decision of the hotel. 1. Bathroom. Glass wall and door to the bathroom, with matt parts but quite transparent. Shower room (inside the bathroom) is also from glass, the floor level is the same with the floor of the bathroom, so the water leaks. Water tap is also strange - you can regulate the temperature of the water but you can not regulate the intensivity of the water. 2. Not enough places for clothes drying. It is important if you came for skiing. There is no radiator in the room, the heated towel rail is in the bathroom but it is hot 1 or 2 hours a day. Not enough hooks for clothes and very few hangers for clothes in the wardrobe, no hooks for jackets near the door. 3. The breakfast is good for Italians only as there are mostly sweets: croissants, jams, honey etc. 1 type of cheese (4-5 pieces), 1 type of ham, 1 type of joghurt (natural, good one!), orange jiuce for selfmade. For eggs or something else you should ask the waiter. Ok. But there is no menu from where you know what you can choose. I recommend the hotel to make such card with possible dishes for breakfast.

Pros: Great breakfast and service. Thank you for the birthday cake for our son. It was a nice surprise and amazing.

Pros: I enjoyed very much my stay! Very nice room, excellent breakfast, nice staff, very clean, good spa with astonishing view. The hotel is located a little bit outside from the center but still at walking distance (15 min approximately) so you can easily reach pubs and restaurants if you prefer to have dinner somewhere else.

Cons: The spa is open only from 15.30 to 19.00. I would have liked more extended opening hours -- after 19.00.

Pros: Spa facilities are great as are the views. Great place let down by an average dinner.

Cons: The dinner was disappointing this visit and was very rushed. Felt a bit like school dinners. The buffet was striped bare and not replaced leaving very little choice. It was far better on our last visit so don't know if anything has changed

Cons: There's no way this hotel deserves 4 stars. Even 3 stars would be too much. The interiors are in desperate need for renovation, the furniture is probably from the 80's, the toilet smelled like sewer on rainy days, so the pipes are bad too. Breakfast was mediocre at best and the staff at the reception wasn't friendly (waiters and cleaning stuff were nice). The booking included a service card for the local cableway, but the staff only provided only after explicitly requesting it. Considering this level of service, it's quite overpriced too. If it wasn't for the very good location, this would have been one of the worst hotels I've stayed at.

Cons: Was the worst stay in my life!!! I asked for 2 empty wine glasses on arrival in order to have a glass of wine given for Christmas by my friend in the room. Well......... the barmen did NOT give me empty glass!!! After 20 minut explanation I got 2 empty glasses.........finally. At 2.00 am I was walked up by knoking at the door. And.........there was the barmen asking to return glass!!! Nonsence! I was really mad!!! And this at the New Year eve! Next day we went to the Hote'ls restaurant . They brought meniu without prices. I asked about prices........but was told that all is included in the stay price (well the price was 210 Euro per night). It was nice to hear that we get a dinner included ...... BUT..... at the ckeck out they chearged me for each dinner, and 240 Euro extra for the New Years dinner (from which I had only the starter as we went to celebrate the New Year in a restaurant in the town center booked by out big company). Very dissapointed with the stay.

Pros: The property is centrally located in the town of Cavalese, near many restaurants and conveniences. The hotel staff were very nice and helpful in recommending things to do in the area. Cavalese is nicely situated for experiencing the beautiful Val di Fiemme and this hotel was a great option, also very economical in the summer months.

Cons: The rooms are very clean and nicely designed and the bathrooms have amazing showers, but they were missing things (hand soap, coffee pods for espresso machine); and the refrigerator only had a bottle of water when it mentioned contents of a mini bar. They also charged 5€ if you want to use a bathrobe. They have a sauna (only open 1600-2100) so it would have been nice to wear a robe in the hotel on your way down to the spa area. Robes are always included in hotels where I have stayed. Otherwise, very good accommodations.

Pros: I liked every single thing! This is the most wonderful hotel, bed and breakfast in Cavalese. This is the ESSENCIAL luxury, I mean, all you need. The decoration is fantastic, the breakfast is superb, it smells mountain climate and it is always clean! The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and some of them is not all, have a terrace. It is relaxing. This breakfast by the way, it is better than many five stars hotel! They serve everything you can imagine for breakfast, from speck and cold meat to pastries. There is a bakery inside the area where you have breakfast! It is absolutely fantastic! Everything is delicious. And they serve berries! The owner can wash your clothes for a very affordable price and she irons even, and gives to you folded. It is amazing. It is HOME! They all love dogs by the way. Do you love dogs? You should!

Cons: There is nothing wrong. I wanted that breakfast to be longer! Until 11:30 and I wanted to live closer to go there every month.

Pros: This was a stay above all positive expetations we had. Our room #108 was excelent. The calm and friendly welcomming was warm. Me and my wife didn’t se a man arond so here we talk about excelent Girl Power on top lever! One horse, 2 cats and 2 dogs made it perfect

Pros: We was very well taken care of by all personell - when we wanted to rent a MTB did they arrange for them to be delivered at the hotel. Our room was upgraded and after cycling in rain was the free spa with sauna etc great. It is a small area but we where the only guest in the SPA area. Very friendly staff!!! The free parking was also great.

Pros: Welcome drink! Very convenient location for motorcyclist - in the heart of Dolomites and the owner caters to motorcyclist. Very special breakfast buffet with lots of home made meals.

Cons: Meal prices in the hotel restaurant. Pizzeria next door is greater value.

Pros: I liked the staff, the owner was very nice to me and there was a very good breakfast. The place is clean and the most beautiful thing is the view that is great from this hotel!

Cons: The only thing was the old shower that leaked, so it was difficult to direct the water jet...but I think it's just a matter of changing it...so it wasn't a big problem!

Pros: Very nice establishment in a peaceful place, nice view over the mountains, vicinity to ski areas, welness area very comfortable, pleasant hosts.

Pros: The incredible view from the balcony and cosy rooms make this place really special. The owner was very accommodating and gave us recommendations of places to visit. If you have a car it’s easy to reach. Highly recommended.

Cons: As we were there during low season the sauna was not made available, so we just think it could have been mentioned on the posting as we though it would be an amenity made available to us. We just drove to QC therme. Overall- we really loved our stay !

Pros: Nice place to stay near Cavalese. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Hotel is dog-friendly. Ski-room. Big private parking. Supermarket is very close. Lots of restaurants in the area.

Cons: Wifi connection in the room was very low. You should take into account that it is Agritur (farm is very close), can be a specific smell. Not a problem for us, but can be a problem for someone.

Pros: The hotel was new and very nice and also close to the ski slopes. Furthermore the food was delicious and the staff was very pleasant and always willing to help.

Pros: everything ...rooms, hospitality, etc... we had dinner in the hotel with excellent quality and exceptional price for the value offered. Breakfast equally exceptional.

Pros: Peaceful surroundings, about 1 km uphill from the cavalese. Place for car-parking.

Cons: There was no WIFI (during all of our 6-night stay) even if it is written in the description of the accommodation. Bad mattresses in beds.

Pros: Everything was OK. However, the hotel accepts only cash payments, which is rather inconvenient, since you have to bring a lot of cash with you if you stay longer.

Cons: It was rather cold in the evenings. The light in the corridor in our apartment was connected to the general light in the hotel corridor, so we had the light on, when anyone was making the light ON in the corridor, which is rather "surprising" at night.

Cons: Out of centre of town, breakfast limited and repetitive

Pros: All I really liked was a location ... city center near by approachable by foot about 12-15 minutes, less then 2km. Free parking space, terrace.

Cons: accomodation doesn't accept paying cards (no POS terminal), I had to transfer the money for 1/4 of price for conforming reservation (nevertheless). Breakfast was very plain, you coudn't get another coffee (yes we drink large coffee not a small one), example: 2 persons 2 cup of coffee or a juice ... you might want to richen up the breakfast. Also and that is a BIG dislike, lady speaks only italian and german, yeah good luck with english.

Pros: Nice and comfortable place for those who travel in the Dolomites by the car.

Cons: Breakfast is very "Italian". If you can't eat sugar and gluten, you'll get only a cup of tea/coffee.

Pros: It was great and the little car park at the back was superb. Manuela was fantastic and couldn't do enough for us. Her breakfasts were 10/10.

Cons: Nothing. It was a great place to stay. Having a kettle would be good if you fancy a brew at the end of the day.
