simpathy of staff
One day the room has not been cleaned!!!! It is very dangerous the entrance of the Hotel, in the side walk. When you come from the street there are in the side walk two levels, not well identified. It is vey easy to fall!
Beds were OK location is relatively OK (approx 20min walk from the center)
Hotel was under construction and this was not mentioned in advance (noise all day long). Also, location is on a main road so if you a light sleeper you can find it difficult to sleep with all the noise from the street (mainly cars and ambulances) breakfast was OK but I would expect more from such a big hotel.
Sauna was so nice and good . The hotel location was perfect . The breakfast was good .
I wish if there was a swimming pool also .
Location of the hotel was really good, it has easy access to metro and walking distance to the city center. It's very close to the train station (Gare du Nord), which is another good point. The neighborhood was also good, there were few supermarkets, cafes and restaurants if you don't want to go to city center just to eat. The view of the room was nice at the 17th floor, even though we did not book for the room with the city view. The sauna was really good and had an awesome view.
The reception when we arrived was lacking hospitality. We were not greeted by the desk, we were asked for the cards immediately. Then, the amount that we were asked to pay was higher than the price. Even though we made it clear that the booking was through booking.com, the receptionist told us to pay the price. Without any further explanation, we were told that they would charge us some extra money just for 'deposit'. We only learned this, that they would pay the card after the check out, after we asked several times. It would be better to give the information, the reason for the extra payment and other details before trying to charge the guests extra for no apparent reason. Even though the room was almost exactly the same as in the photos, the number of the plugs and the placements of them were really odd. There was no plug next to the bed, not anywhere accessible. Even the coffee machine, which was placed by the hotel itself, was unplugged because there was no plug available. Lastly, the lockers in the sauna were all broken/not usable. There was almost no instructions on how to use the lockers and we had to leave our belongings without locking them.
The proximity to the city centre, the public transport and the gard du midi. It's ease to check in and out. The view from the sauna (apart from the huge cranes). The Nespresso machine, free water and the cleanliness of the room. Plus, the TV had a few English channels which passed the evening away before bed.
That the entire building and its surroundings weren't finished and the building work started at 7am (if not earlier). The ice machine didn't work. Two of the four lifts didn't work. The 'fitness' floor was dire and the 'spa' was much to be desired. The front of the hotel is covered in scaffolding so you can't see the building making it easy to walk by.
