For the economy price, I was impressed at the cleanliness of the place. The photographs of the Austin inspired musicians on the walls really brought character to the place. The guest books highlighting what one could do in Austin really made me feel as if I was in Austin and interacting with it. The bar and restaurant were nice to have in the hotel when I did not feel like venturing too far. The employees were always friendly and helpful. The cleaning service was somewhat sporadic. During the day the halls would sometimes be clogged with cleaning people. I couldn't anticipate when a cleaner would tidy up my room because it did not happen at the same time every day.
Road noise terrible! Rate way too high for conditions at this hotel. Wyndham should not have their name on this hotel. Bed was very comfortable, shower was good. Staff accommodating. But would never stay there again.
Such an amazing wonderful place to stay! It's very clean and comfortable place to stay for couple of nights. What I didn't like about it was the wi-fi, because the signal was too weak from our room.
It was not a boutique.. I slept in full clothing attire.. That was my level of discomfort. Everyone was nice but it's not a place to stay for $200/night .. More like a 1 star then I wouldn't complain. Misleading for sure. Just FYI.
Room was cool and the shower hot and relaxing. Road construction - but hey this is I35 there is always construction :-)
I liked that I didn't die or get hurt. It's in a sketchy part of Austin. There are roaches everywhere. The bathroom floor was literally mushy, because water had gone under the stick-on floor laminate. Beds were far from comfortable, had a dip in the middle of the mattress. Pubes on the pillow (!!!!). No fridge or microwave. No closet. But the people were the worst part. Other guests were so seedy the motel has a security guard at night and a CURFEW. I witnessed a fist fight and the police showing up. I heard a very loud verbal fight outside my window the first night, then the second night was worse: someone kept yelling, "NO PLEASE DON'T!" over and over, then I heard what sounded like physical struggle, and then a lot of human whimpering. I literally couldn't tell if they were male or female. It was horrifying. I called 911. I will NEVER stay there ever again.
Recently remodelled, clean, staff responsive when we had problem with TV remote, great location for us to stop off on our way to Drippng Springs for a wedding, close to UT Austin, nice breakfast (although the eggs, potatoes and sausage were not hot), bed was comfortable Room was small, would have liked a workout room, but it was great value, and location right at intersection of 35 and 71 - very convenient
Location and staff letting us check in before 3 pm check-in time. Size (very small) and quality of the room. Hotel seemed to be undergoing repairs so it was loud and there was a lot of debris.
Clean place RM 202, helpful people, hotel was well kept despite rugged exterior premises Showers only got Luke warm
The privacy and hospitality from staff Wired people walking around outside and the $100 deposit
