Pros: The room was one of the nicest rooms I have ever stayed in and I have stayed at many 5 star hotels. Brand new, multiple choice of coffees with your Keurig, Aqua de Parma soaps, huge room and bathroom, amazing shower, even a microwave if you needed it. A pleasant surprise especially for an very fair price.

Pros: Nice property - well located - helpful staff
Cons: We stayed in room 7025. Elevator noise was loud all night. Not people getting in/out - it was mechanical clunking - loud and random
Pros: Staff very responsive to needs
Pros: Great value for the money in terms of the room, service, amenities, and especially the location. We don't stay anywhere else when we come to Austin.
Pros: Centrally located, nice & clean
Cons: Currently the construction in town is a bit challenging.
Pros: Walk ability around campus to attend commencement, sleek yet warm.
Cons: No complementary earplugs, People's conversations passing by would echo down hallway throughout the night.
Pros: Efficient, nicely appointed rooms, friendly people.
Pros: Location and friendliness of staff
Cons: Very pricey.
Pros: VERY comfortable bed and pillows! The staff was very nice and professional. I was visiting my daughter who lives on campus so it was great to be so close.
Pros: This was my first time to Austin and it was amazing! Hotel was very nice and clean, the staff were very helpful with everything! I arrived late in the evening and loved that I got an email from the Hotel Concierge to confirm my arrival!

Pros: We came for my 21st birthday on 6th street and I can't imagine picking a better place. They did everything they had to do to keep it classy and cool headed as it's located on one of the busiest and most popular tour attractions in Texas. We only live 45 mins away but Austin is my go to. I LOVE it there. I had friends come up and get ready in the room and hang out before and a little afterwards but only 4 of us stayed in the room and it was everything I could have asked for and more!!! The "haunted" back ground give this place an edge and with the timelessness of the Titanic, it makes the Driskill a MUST DO in terms of staying ATX. 10/10 recommend.
Cons: Nothing- I would change nothing
Cons: The valet was torn up with construction.
The lobby and hallways literally smelt like a sewer.
The mezzanine was stacked with old furniture.
The once famous bar was loud noisy and also smelt like a sewer.
The bathroom had chipped paint and a cracked floor length mirror. There was no counter space in the bathroom.
The glass top furniture had dried paint drops on top from lack of a drop cloth.
Pros: Beautiful historic hotel. Great staff. Great central location. Food was amazing in Cafe and at the Grill. Dog friendly (they have doggie concierge kits with bed, bowls, treats and poop bags).
Cons: The petite rooms really are petite, so be aware of that when you book, but in all honestly, you're only there to sleep and shower so it's definitely not a deal breaker.
Pros: Had massive character and charm. Gorgeous lobby. Bar always always had a nice vibe.
Cons: There was an old musty odor in the bar and lobby. Reminded me of an old basement. Parking was $40/day.
Pros: Great food menu with healthy choices. Friendly staff. Nice tall ceilings in room. Great location. Nice decor for the holidays.
Pros: What a great stay! The staff was helpful and friendly from start to finish. It was like taking a step back in time without having to give up any modern conveniences. The price is worth all the little details.
Pros: The staff, at every level, were responsive and had amazing attitudes. Very well done.
Pros: The hotel decor and ambiance is very nicely done, makes you feel like you are in the midst of royalty.
The bed is very comfortable.
The service is excellent, we needed a few extra things since my wife wanted to celebrate my birthday.
The bakery downstairs made a real good cake.
The location of the hotel is great, it is right in the middle of the nightlife of Austin and makes going bar hopping or clubbing that much easier, cant imagine a better location.
Cons: The elevator floor tiles were duck taped on which was odd.
The room is a little small by texas standards but ok by NY standards.
There is a surprising number fo bums on the streets outside, just ignore them and be on your own way, if you are from NYC you'll be fine but even otherwise nothing to be alarmed of.
A bit pricey.
Pros: beautiful location in the middle of the city. Rooms are beautiful and very romantic.
Pros: We had a wonderful stay at the driskill. The staff was very helpful with suggestions on what to do in the area. We were staying for my birthday and web we arrived they had chocolate covered strawberries and champagne delivered to the room.
Pros: Bed was amazing, architecture was beautiful, right in the heart of 6th street entertainment district
Cons: Had issues with Valet parking service on two separate occasions. Normally I wouldn't mind, but when I have to pay for parking at a nightly rate then I expect service to match.
Pros: Location on 6th street was unmatched, excellent service as should be expected
Cons: The room i was in wasnt worth the price paid, even though location couldnt be better.
The Driskill remains a landmark of legendary Texas hospitality. Located on Sixth Street in the heart of downtown Austin, the luxurious, historic hotel is convenient to all that the city has to offer, including the Texas State Capitol, convention center, opera, symphony, fine dining, shopping, and Austin's 6th Street music scene. Known as the "Live Music Capital of the World,®" Austin is home to nearly 200 music venues, many within walking distance of The Driskill.
Pros: The people are wonderful. The hotel is beautiful with a perfect location. We enjoy staying here everytime we visit.
Cons: No room service. They have a restaraunt but refuse to deliver to rooms
Pros: The bed was real nice.
Cons: Elevator problems, floors close at certain times, breakfest was not good, and expensive. Room was not worth as much as payed
Pros: Great check in and room.
Pros: location and ambiance
Pros: Loved the ambiance and decor of the hotel. Wish we had spent more time at the hotel but we had a packed agenda our entire trip.
Pros: It's located away from the city close to a lot of different hiking trails.
Pros: Very clean rooms and great location
Cons: I left my clothes in that hotel, But the house keep person didn't turn it in to lost department.I like my pant really much, and it's not a cheap pant.
Cons: We parked in the parking garage early but left to visit and eat dinner with our family. When we returned at 10:45 PM, the hotel parking garage was full, and we had to park in another parking garage over a block away.
Pros: Excellent hotel, beautiful lobby, very nice room, super clean room, very helpful staff, k cup coffee in room. I travel a lot. Haven't seen this nice hotel.
A hearty welcome awaits you deep in the heart of Texas at the new Sonesta Bee Cave Austin. The hotel's earthen palette and energy reflect these beautiful surroundings, enhanced with hand-crafted woods and rich textures of stones and other natural materials. It's contemporary chic, with a touch of Austin's laid-back vibe.
Pros: Excellent rooms, friendly staff, well-stocked breakfast buffet. Very quiet campus despite being close to several major highways.

Pros: Staff was very helpful, place was clean, well located across the street from the Driskill and at the start of dirty sixth. Pretty easy to get around with walking, bus or taxi.
Overall I would strongly recommend this place for single travelers looking for a hostel experience in Austin, cant imagine they will find anything better
Cons: Would be nice if there were drapes that covered the bed like I have had at other hostels and power outlets next to each bed so when you are on the top bunk it's easier to charge your phone. Also, the lockers could be a tiny bit bigger, not that they were small, but my bag was a regular airline bag and if the locker was just a tiny bit bigger I could have fit the entire thing in there (thats what she said)
Firehouse Hostel offers a great location, putting you within a 15-minute walk of Austin City Limits and Governor's Mansion. Free perks include continental breakfast and WiFi. Also, Texas State Capitol and Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum are within a short drive.

Pros: I traveled with teens and an infant. The first thing the whole family notice was the extremely kind staff. Place is still new and the room was extremely clean. Breakfast was great. We had just left a 4 star water resort spa hotel and was upset with the staff and hygiene of the place and was happy to finally find a place that did it right this time.
Cons: No complaints.
Pros: Great hotel. Very comfortable beds. Quiet. Good breakfast. Nice staff. Stayed 2 nights then spent 2 nights at Hyatt Regency downdown Austin. Much preferred Sleep Inn. Came back for another night.
Pros: New property
Good location for our stay

Cons: Could hear the hallway and other rooms easily
Pros: I just stayed in a hotel in California that was in need of updates. Once I stayed here in Austin, I felt like I had a pretty good handle on what was missing in that last hotel. The appointments were very modern, and there were USB ports everywhere. The lighting was all intelligently integrated, with functions that turned every light on from the door way, or just the entry, or a night light in the bathroom. The bathroom was very nice, not too big, not too small. I noticed that it had been impeccably up kept and that there wasn't damage from mold or anything like that. It's close to everything you want to do in downtown austin, though if you're looking for a run around or along the lake, you might be better off driving there.
Cons: The lobby was under construction, but that's not really a big deal. I'm assuming that most facilities have to look like that if they are going to modernize.
Cons: They deleted my cc on file and charged my debit card twice
Cons: The renovations on the main hotel level were unexpected and, when done, will no doubt be places to see and be seen...this trip though, could be provided at a discount.
Pros: Hotel was nice, close to everything, view from 19th floor was really nice facing 6th street. Nice fridge in the room and room was comfortable. Parking was easy although pricey.
was a nice stay
Cons: Don't want to be overly negative here as I had a good stay, however couple things I like to point out. Movies are expensive to rent from on-demand most people probably won't, but 20 bucks seems high to me. (This unfortunately left a bad taste) Although there was nothing to say which line is for Honors members, if your not an Honors member and get in a long line to check in and that line happens to be for Honors members expect some Hilton person to look disgusted and call you out in front of everyone and divert you to another line like a red headed step-child. Basically if you stay at Hilton you better be an Honors member or your just some poor trash that needs to stay clear of the decent upstanding Honors members.
Pros: Nice room
Cons: Never received a wake up call
Pros: Loved the new rooms and the pool was quite nice.
Cons: Wish it didn't cost me so much
Pros: Great rooms and perfect location
Cons: Staff was incredibly rude and continually incompetent

Pros: The hotel is right in the middle of Austin. Perfect for walking to the Capitol, downtown bars and restaurants, and South Congress. Great staff. Lovely room.
Pros: Cleanliness, and friendly staff. Downtown location is great for exploring 6th st area. South Congress is a long walk (esp. in hot sun), but was still do-able.
Cons: Parking at the hotel is $40 / night by valet. We ended up at a nearby garage @ $24 / night.
Pros: Location was great and the staff couldn't have been nicer and more helpful.
Pros: In "nice" hotels like this, one oftentimes encounters staff workers that are acerbic and demeaning w/o realizing it because the culture of the environment encourages that behavior.
The staff in this case was excellent and down to earth. They smiled and laughed when I joked around w/ them (and I am funny .... and cute!).
Most notably was our concierge, "Chenisse Johns," OUTSTANDING!. She was so helpful w/ many of our questions whether giving us directions for local restaurants or providing us w/ an upgrade in our room - which we took advantage of on the last night of our stay!
The rooms on the 16th floor were fantastic and grand. They were quiet, allowing us to really SLEEP & wake up refreshed.
I definitely would stay here again.
OH, it's right in the heart of downtown, thus one can walk anywhere from the hotel.
Pros: Everything except the valet parking (that service was good & prompt, though); self park would have been preferable.
Staff-ALL staff-was excellent, highly competent & knowledgeable, courteous, professional and friendly. I believe that the SFA hotel staff could compare favorably with hotels ANYWHERE.
Cons: Only indoor pool; outdoor pool would have been preferable.
Would have rather had self-parking available than valet parking

Pros: The room was perfect when I arrived, staff was very friendly and willing to help.

Pros: Whether you are staying one night or one month, Drifter Jacks is the most affordable and comfortable place you can stay! Perfect for solo travelers and groups, the location is close enough to attractions and sits right on a major bus route. I stayed for a week and was comfortable the entire trip. Ethan and Jaime were especially wonderful hosts, however the entire staff was friendly and courteous. Coffee and tea were available 24 hours and breakfast was available every morning which was a huge bonus, especially since the nightly rate was so low! Can't wait to stay again, I will be recommending Drifter Jack's to all my friends traveling to Austin!

Pros: Location was very close to down town and many other points of interests
Cons: The elevators were tiny.
Pros: I had a meeting near the capital and this hotel fit my budget. I took a back way that was faster than getting on I-35. Hotel has a nice appearance, room and bed was good, no complaints. The breakfast was average with a decent selection (powdered eggs) but the nice part was it's in the restaurant with plenty of room.
Cons: It's tough to get to because of where it's situated (one-way roads).
Pros: We enjoyed the central SoCo location.
It was a perfect trip
Pros: Clean and updated rooms with a friendly staff. Great stay for the price.
Cons: A little confusions get to get to hotel room
Pros: Location was convenient
Cons: Boomed a king room on Kayak, was put in a room, with 2 twins, went back to the desk, after some explanations, was put in a queen room, with a discount

Pros: Updated, excellent room with mini kitchen (microwave, fridge, sink) room had two areas: a sitting room with hid-a-bed , kitchenette, desk and tv; and bedroom with tv and big bed and closet.
Cons: Pool was a bit unattended and not very clean.
Pros: We like this location. It's a nice set up because the rooms are true suite in the sense of being two separate room, with two tv, and pull out couch. Bed is very comfortable. Great deal for the price.
Cons: The sink did not drain properly. The toilet seat was lose.
Pros: Location is great and breakfast was decent.
Cons: Internet wasn't working
Pros: The hotel is modern and bright. Room was large. The front staff gave us additional towels when we asked for them.
Cons: Breakfast was average. They forgot to clean our room, but since we were only there 2 nights, it wasn't a big deal. At check out, the management was apologetic.
Pros: Cleanliness, Room Size and location
Pros: great room!
Cons: Breakfast was lacking and would actually like to have REAL butter, better syrup (not the sugar free kind), and whole milk!
Pros: Location and price
Cons: The powder eggs for the free continential breakfast
Pros: bed was comfortable and AC worked great
Cons: No wifi to speak of. did not exist Saturday when I arrived and worked sporadically Sunday and Monday!
Pros: Comfortable bed and nice appearance are a definite plus.
Cons: There were a number of deferred maintenance items that disrupted our stay. First, on the second of five nights, the air conditioning went out, and I had to move. The bath faucet was extremely loose, the TP holder was falling off and the carpet was stained
Pros: Easy access to I35. Free breakfast was decent.
Cons: TV didn't work in the bedroom. TV system did not have CNBC. Not good for business travelers. Workout room was basically an exercise bike and two machines that didn't work. No weights. Stayed at a 3-star the night before and this was nowhere that.
Pros: Comfortable beds, room was clean, free breakfast was great
Cons: Shower handle in bathroom was broken off, could not turn on hot water. A light in the bathroom was missing it's covering. Coffee maker in room was broken.
Pros: Desk staff checking us in and woman from the office are superior. The hotel is very clean and new. Breakfast was great. Suite was very very nice. Severla fast food places and gas stations within a few steps. Quick on and off the interstate.

Each room is equipped with two flat panel televisions. Each morning the hotel offers a complimentary hot Be Our Guest Breakfast buffet. Wireless internet access throughout the hotel is complimentary as are the Business Center and Fitness Center. A large outdoor pool and a cozy back patio provide fun and relaxation.
Pros: The room, the bed, tv size, we're welcoming and we'll worth the money.
Cons: My account was not cold. This is the 2nd time at this same hotel.
Pros: Sweet staff,
Cons: We saw 3 bugs in the bed while we were there one during my night of sleep. Yuck!
None were bed bugs (I used to work for a pest control company) but 2 spiders and another weird black bug. For $120 a night I didn't expect that.
Pros: The location to the entertainment district was nice. An added plus was a fridge in the room.
Cons: Most hotels of this size I've stayed in on my travels offered their guests a free breakfast. This one did not. If they did offer one, the staff was truly unwilling to divulge that fact. Holiday Inn needs to step up efforts with this particular hotel to offer a free breakfast to their guests in order to keep pace with other comparable hotels as well as the hotel industry. What a huge disappointment!
Pros: King bed was firm and comfortable with quality pillows. Room service made us a customer order for breakfast
Cons: Ac didnt go below 70 all night. Bar was small.
Pros: When we arrived in our room, it was not what I had reserved. I was not happy when I called the front desk. But to my pleasant surprise, they apologized and set us up in an executive suite! They went beyond what I expected and made the stay very nice!

The 6 bed room only had two power outlets.
Pros: The people, atmosphere
