My prepaid room was given away. After arriving at the hotel on a late flight, I was told to take a letter to a different hotel across town because they didn't have my room. This happened to several other guests that evening. The other hotel was considerably far from my meetings that brought me to town for 3 days. Hotel clerk rude and dismissive at checkin.
Great atmosphere. Beautiful inside and out. Great price to quality ratio. Comfy bed. Clean. Good location. Water pressure in the shower was really low. No complimentary breakfast. Receptionist was a little formal/stuffy, but still very helpful.
The staff were very welcoming and helpful with every aspect. The restaurant, Mas, with its roof top bar & tapas was a very fun way to spend our first evening.
The Andaluz has a wonderful history and the remodel saved it's antique flavor. We found the employees friendly and knowledgable about its past. Loved the bar on the 2nd floor. All the beers on tap were local.
Friendly staff, great restaurant. Check in was in a small, cramped room. The room was kind of small, especially the bathroom. It is an older hotel that they have tried to upgrade. Not much of a view. Not in a great part of town but I am not sure Albuquerque has such a thing.
The hotel didn't have a pool, they give you a pass to use a public gym.. lots of homeless arround the area. My room wasn't cleaned on time so I had to call the manager.
Employees were really nice and helpful.
I absolutely loved the style of the hotel. The room and view were stunning! The staff were professional and everything was spotless. The attention to detail was much appreciated. the extra touches such as the Old Town Walkin tour and the cookies at check in we're fabulous. The gym wasn't functioning as it was being refurbished. Also the food in the on site restaurant was very spicy hot....hot...hot, and should have come with a warning. The food was delicious if you can handle the heat!
Nothing Very unattentive front desk. Asked for suggestions for dining in the area and got blank stares. Called front desk about fighting in the hallway at 2am and the yelling and screaming continued for over an hour.
Loved that the hotel was situated where old town and st Claire winery were walking distance easy to get around to places. Hotel rooms were clean and beds were comfortable Didn't like that happy hours was unavailable on weekends and no breakfast was included with room stay
Lobby Old bathroom
Staff was very professional and kind. There is a nice pool and a patio. Overall very pleasant. Rooms are standard.
The location was perfect. It was within walking distance of the old town shops and restaurants. The pool was very nice and all of the indoor and outdoor decor was beatiful. The room and bathroom were surprisingly larger than expected. The staff were very helpful and accomdating There was construction going on right next to the hotel that was fairly loud and started relatively early that woke me up.
View was great. Turned out that Friday night was a party night for a room near us. Loud and drunk young folks. Had to call security and police to get them under control. Room was not really cleaned each day, just a few things done. Chairs not comfortable, not enough electric outlets. No extra blankets in the room. Bed not comfortable.
We were physically assaulted by the security guards on staff at the hotel. Never in my life have I witnessed something like this. Yes we were noisy which led to complaints... but it was for a party we told the staff a month before , and it was only loud because there were 20+ people all in one room since the staff DID NOT PUT ALL OUR ROOMS on one floor like we requested mknths before, several times, to avoid just this. Instead they put us by other guests and mixed our rooms up. This would have avoided other guests hearing us and being upset. Security came and physically attacked two of our guests for arguing with them about the policy as they seemed very aggressive. We were all shocked. Needless to say there is a nice lawsuit ensuing against this hotel. Happy visit!
My room was comfortable, the restaurant and reception staff were very friendly. Great location near old town. Free parking I was disappointed that they didn't have the fireplace going in the big hall to make it a bit cozy.
Very friendly staff. Pool area was well maintained and covered by Aaron. The restaurant was a big surprise - usually do not expect hotels to serve food as good as we got there. Nothing - perfect for a guys weekend.
The cleanliness. The coffee and tea available at the "nurses stations" in the morning. The baked goods at breakfast. The quiche at breakfast. The lack of more substantial food at breakfast. What was available was delicious, but it'd be nice to have some fresh scrambled eggs, bacon, and hash browns available.
Clean, Modern, great breakfast, great ambiance
The staff was very knowledgeable about the area and had some great recommendations for places walking distance for meals. Parking is extra, and it wasn't apparent in the booking or when I checked in and they gave me the pass to get in/out of the garage.
the hotel was a bit old but had that awesome clean towel bar soap smell Starbucks is right there And you can go to the restaurant in the lobby and still get authentic NM food. The staff is incredible fun folks who make you feel like a friend. One of them even did an impression for me, HILARIOUS love it, A++++++ would buy again Nothing notable They even brought me a flat iron and hairbrush
The only great thing about our stay was the older gentlemen at the valet. He over exceeded the customer service expectations. More of your staff members should follow his example. The beds were awful. You might as well put sheets over a pallet of springs. For the amount of money people pay I think the hotel can afford better mattresses. Our faucet in our room has a horrible leak. You might want to tell housekeeping to do a deep clean on the furniture it's a tad dirty. As for the front desk rule of thumb don't let your guest stand around for 15 minutes because you failed to notify valet. 2 seconds on the radio and your done. But seriously almost 30 minutes waiting all together to retrieve a phone charger from the car is a little ridiculous all that was, was a lack of communication. ***** 5 stars to the older gentlemen in valet***** He is a true employee and if you don't notice that as management you lack as well in training and bringing the expectations needed for great guest services.... I hope you tell him to.... The mattresses Poor guest services (Front Desk)
The bed was so comfortable, the room was clean, there's a Starbucks in the hotel. Nothing
The food was way to expensive and hard to place an order for room service
Friendly convenient and affordable.
The staff was great and courteous, very clean. My new go-to hotel when in Albuquerque .
Great breakfast, good facilities Maintenance issue with room, outlets did not work, it was minor though
How comfy the bed was and the room and the staff was very very helpful and friendly:-) N/A
No clean The thermostat was broke
The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the breakfast was very good. The previous occupants in the room I was assigned to were smokers. When I walked into the room I immediately could smell smoke. I asked for another room and was given a room that smelled cleaner.
Excellent breakfast and value. Elevators too small for luggage carts
Overall, we had a very nice experience. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, the breakfast was delicious. That's the most I look for in a hotel, especially since we stayed for one night during a cross country road trip. It was a wonderful change from sleeping in our car at a rest area. The only downsides were honestly very minimal, considering we stayed for only one night. I found a small roach in the bathroom that I had to dispose of, and the internet connection was very spotty and, for the most part, nonexistent.
Nice southwest theme. Interesting art - especially the local art behind the front desk, and even better, the explanation of it to the left of checkin. The complementary breakfast was generous, and the waitress/hostess was very nice and accommodating for my wife's special dietary needs. Keep up the good work! Mike Palatas The latch mechanism for the hand wand of the shower in the handicap room we stayed in (112) was broken - would not lock in position on the vertical slide bar.
I liked the location and the friendly staff. I didn't like the bed, the fickle air conditioning which worked part of the time, the small bathroom, the hidden blackout curtains, the street lamp outside my window, the baby and intrusive neighbors on the other side of my door and the toilet paper. I also didn't like sleeping until noon the first day because we had no idea there were blackout curtains until the front desk informed us the following morning. I had forgot the toilet paper I had bought since they had the cheaper brand and also my watch because I didn't sleep well the following night due to the air conditioning not working correctly and the weird noises it was making. I had enough and got up and left very early the second morning. It was a brutal 12 hour drive that day with very little sleep. Thankfully there were two of us so one of us could sleep in the car while the other drove.
The bar was comfortable and the cocktails were good. My room was very comfortable, clean, and the bed was great. The housekeeping staff were friendly. The front desk was superb. I love the airport shuttle service. I didn't like the location. The property was located on a very busy street and the walk to Old Town wasn't pleasant. Twice i had breakfast at the hotel and twice i was brought the wrong item.
Staff was very helpful and accommodating, even after the website we booked through (getaroom.com), completely messed up our reservation! Breakfast was great. My only complaint was that the beds were way to soft!
everything was true to the description online. Delicious was breakfast and loved the $5 coupon. Location was right off the highway. Fitness facility was good enough. High-quality staff. The walls of the room were pretty thin. We could hear our neighbors and the cleaning staff in the morning.
Located nr. Expressway, clean and comfortable. Located in the old part of Albuquerque.
Quiet room, comfy beds, smelled pleasant, staff friendly. Breakfast was good. Decorated nicely.
It's comfortable, the staff is friendly, the price and location are great.
The breakfast was excellent & served on real china not that awful plastic or styrofoam stuff...the eggs were the real deal...not the pretend kind from the lsst BW we stayed at. Staff was lovely A little dark and gloomy in the halls but well maintained
The included breakfast was excellent. My breakfast burrito was superb. Bathroom was worn out. Come on...can't you replace a worn out toilet seat?
Everything about this hotel is absolutely wonderful. The decor, archatecture, and layout is very charming and southwestern. The service and employees are excellent. The last time we stayed there, I left a pillow of mine, and they mailed it to me! The breakfasts are fresh and full of different options (made to order eggs, fruit, oatmeal, etc.) The dining room is cozy and has a wood burning fire place which is especially nice when visiting in the winter. The individual rooms are cute with comfortable beds, western decor, and some have kitchenettes. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone visiting the city of Albuquerque or near-by areas or even just passing through. It truly is a 'House of Dreams'!
I am sitting at the hotel comuter, one thing that seems to work. Although I travel alot , this is my first time to fill out a review. I was thoroughly disapointed with the hotel. I could deal with the location, setting etc, although it is not as quaint as one would be led to believe. basically it is a hotel built in the 30's with a slight update. neee more be said. However, my real dissatisfaction was the breakfast. It took over 1 hour to be seated and get our food, the one waitress, was also running the entire hotel it seemed. They need help. Next, when our food finally arrived, my omelet was not to be. I received two pieces of french toast, my wifes order was wrong as well. We could have waited another half hour if so desired, but actually after writing this email, Im getting out of here. Think twice before staying here. If you want delapidated lodgeing that is novel because an artist built it 80 years ago, by all means stay here. if you want enought hot water to fill t...
we had the most wonderful time at casa de suenos. the staff was amazing and the Ivy cottage was so relaxing with it's private patio and soothing waterfall. Even the towels were thick and soft. This was the best, luckiest find ! We would go back anytime!
We spent the night in one of the lovely rooms at Casas De Suenos or House of dreams. We were greeted by a friendly hostess who while walking us to our room told us the history of this wonderful find. As we walked across the beautiful grounds she shared with us that this was once an artist's retreat where people like Georgia O'Keeffe would come to paint. The room was spacious, clean with south west warmth in it's decor. Beds were comfortable. In the morning we were treated to a full breakfast, choice of eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, pastries not just day old bagels like some free breakfasts. The location is within walking distance of Old Town. Delightful, fun place to stay. I highly recommend it.
I have stayed here on several occasions and it keeps getting better. Great rooms, incredible gardens, amenties are perfect, private, peaceful, great location for anywhere in Albuquerque. Kids and wife love the zoo, mucsem, old town and downtown. I love the quiteness, breakfasts are awesome and the beautiful grounds. I have actually had clients met me there for meetings in the gardens. Seems to be a popular place for weddings and a beautiful one was held while we were there.
The staff was very accomodating . The rooms have character and are attractively decorated as is the lobby and breakfast room. It was quite cold so we did not get to enjoy the garden, but we look nforward to returning during warmer weather.
Easy access from the highway. Lcated within easy walking distance to Old Town Albuquerque. Units were clean and well provided. Free internet was alsl provided. Many of the units have private parking right outside the unit. Excellent hot beakfast (Soutwest selections)was served in the morning. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend it.
I loved this new B&B, an old artist studio which is being restored. Rooms are large and charming. Sweet little breakfast room overlooks a great garden. Close to Old Town on a quiet street. Not great (yet) for the business traveler.
We had a wonderful time. We stayed in the La Miradora and it was great. Breakfast was fast and friendly every day.
Great location. Cool layout. Great breakfast. Nice pillows. Fountain outside our room gave nice sounds. Unfortunately, it is not in good shape. The locks on my door were almost unusable. The lady from the desk took a couple of minutes to unlock the door...I was never that quick...totally annoying when trying to go somewhere. The paint and fixtures really need an overhaul. The glasses hadn't been washed. The curtains didn't block light. With a little work it could be a four star...but this stay barely rated a two star.
This is a small Inn tucked in between Old Town and the Country Club Golf Course. Beatiful grounds and great rooms. Prices were reasonable and included a full breakfast each morning including Pancakges, Eggs, Green Chili Burrittosm fresh fruit etc. All cooked items were made to order. If you want a new Holiday Inn or Sheraton, dont stay here. If you are like us and want something authentic, historic and unique thtat comes with great service and authenticity we reccommend the casas to anyone. Most guest we met here were repeat customers and well traveled. You can walk to Old Town, museums,. botanical gardens, aquarium etc. We highly reccommend 'Antiquity' our favorite restaurant just accross the street in Old Town.
Expecting just an average, moderate hotel, I was very pleasantly surprised when I arrived and checked in. The staff were terrific and cheerfully answered all questions I had and were willing to assist wherever they could. After being shown through delightful gardens, the rooms are nice and private with great regional decor and very spacious. It was like being in a private home as the room had all the facilities one could need. The breakfast was superb, the usual cereals nad bagels but then you could also or a full cooked breakfast which was cooked to order, not something that had been sitting in a warmer for ages. I will only stay here when I visit Albuquerque and tell everyone about it. A great hotel in a great location which really made the trip memorable.
We were greeted with a cookie upon check in. When we went to the restaurant downstairs and they messed up our order, the chef was quick to admit the me stake and correct the situation. There was no parking available and had to park across the street.
Thought the hotel chain was a good choice Found disgusting items in food
Rooms were clean, well equipped. Service at desk was great. Free parking (on weekends) across the street was a huge bonus! We were first time visitors staying on a weekend, and found the area eerily dead. We expected a more lively area given the downtown location. Also a bit disappointed the pool didn't have a hot tub, but those are luxuries, so no biggie.
The room was warm when I walked in Staff did not seem friendly and the hotel seem outdated; had to pay 12.00 for parking.
Lady that attended to check in was not friendly at all. It appeared she did not enjoy her job or the service that she was providing to the customers. The cleaning staff was very loud the next morning around 9AM, slamming doors and talking loudly in the hallways. Pillows were very soft and took about 3 of them stacked together to provide any support for neck and head. No refrigerator in room.
It's hotel good cookies Nice people good beds In the bathroom there was a Big Cockroach. I did no like that we had to pay for parking $12.00. We also had to pay for the Refrigerator $10.00
Staff was friendly. Shuttle service is convenient. The room smelled like smoke. I'm guessing it was a smoking room in the past.
The staff were very helpful and nice. The hotel and rooms were outdated.
Everything about this hotel was good -- no complaints about the facilities, service, etc. At 11:30pm I was in bed when other guests of the hotel entered my room -- they had been assigned the SAME room. It was a disturbing situation for paying customers, both myself and for them. Whether this was a system error or human error, please take steps to insure this doesn't happen to future guests.
Location, Staff Guestroom heating/cooling, bathroom fixtures need updating, expensive room service
Breakfast wasnt the best!! Expensive, our food was cold not worth what we payed
The value, convenience, and funky charm of the place make Monterey Non-Smokers' Motel a favorite. And in spite of the location on a busy road, the rooms give a very quiet sleep.
The unit was clean, and the facility had unique decor. The location was great, as it was near old town, the zoo, and the aquarium. The owner was a grumpy old curmudgeon. I was chewed out for the on-line room purchase, and for having 2 teenagers with me. I had already paid for the two "extra" occupants on-line, yet got an ear-full at check in. @ $90 /night, I was disappointed that there was no, breakfast or microwave in the room.
Amazing location and price. Late checkout , breakfast and secure free parking No safe in room was only downside
Staff was courteous and knowledable Property is showing its age
Beds were really comfortable! Can't beat that. But the hotel felt like an hourly motel that you see in movies. Dirty and skeezy. We wouldn't stay there again, and DEFINITELY not with kids. You could see crackheads in the park and hear downtown partiers doing God knows what. Dirty, poor customer service from front desk, and did I mention dirty? It just seemed sketchy. It's the kind of place you pay for hourly to do stuff you're only legally allowed to do in Amsterdam. Next time we'll go with a best western or something.
the rate and the breakfast.. the location /carpets gross
The guy at the front desk was awesome. Friendly, kind and very helpful finding us ways to entertain ourselves.
Great stay liked free shuttle to airport and Old Town. Breakfast a plus.
The breakfast was nice, and the staff was friendly and helpful when I needed to extend my stay for a night. They gave me a discount. It's a loud place. They have outside floors so you hear the street noise (or the construction noise from next door) a lot through the doors and also the windows. I needed earplugs to sleep well.
Loclation, pool, super comfortable bed.
I expected more attention to the decor in a boutique in the downtown area, but everything was pretty dated. Comfortable and clean enough, bed was great. Secure parking was nice, and necessary in downtown abq. Common areas were nice but the rooms could use some help. Dated. Rooms especially.
Great location in downtown on one of the most active streets in the city for night life A bit dirty, a bit noisy... but for the price, it was a nice place for a one night stay
I liked that it was close to my business meeting, 3 minutes away... WiFi was ok Room smelled, hair in shower, AC was noisy, not flat screen TV, continental breakfast was plain
The location is excellent and the hotel is well maintained I don't like paying for ice.
The staff was great, and friendly! The beds were really stiff.
Good location. Good price. A little loud but you are downtown next to the interstate.
Location was very central to where all the events we went to
Easy access to downtown, airport and University of New Mexico proximity to construction around I-25
Easily accessible from I 25. Staff seemed inattentive. My room was so dirty (hair/ lipstick on pillows) that I had to ask for a new one. After raising concerns of bedbugs and subsequently being given a new room, I was approached by a janitor who told me "we don't have no fu**ing bedbugs, I make sure." Don't be fooled by the online description of the nice neighborhood (I didn't feel safe outside as a 31 year old man from Philly). Spend a few extra dollars and stay across town. You won't regret it.
very friendly people at the reception desk small room, very bad phonic isolation
Nice place comfy The bathroom door didn't close and it was always open
The location was exactly what I wanted. I needed to work and their internet was so unreliable. I didn't finish everything I needed to. Very frustrating.
Clean, cheap, good location.
