Overview of Aeromar

Predominantly focused on domestic flights, Aeromar is a Mexican airline based in Mexico City. It operates a wide-reaching network across Mexico, which includes 20 destinations. A secondary hub is located in Guadalajara that is responsible for servicing nonstop flights to the west coast of Mexico, a popular vacation hotspot. International flights are also available to the United States and specifically southern destinations in Texas.

Codeshare agreements are held with two of the world’s most prevalent carriers: United Airlines and Turkish Airlines. These associations allow passengers to access more countries across the globe and use Mexico City as a gateway to Canada, Europe, Asia, and Africa.

Economy is the only cabin class offered on Aeromar services. All cabins in the fleet are set up in a 2 x 2 layout, meaning that you are guaranteed either a window seat or direct aisle access. Complimentary hand luggage includes a carry-on bag and a personal item, such as a jacket or laptop. The combined weights of these items must not be more than 10 kg (approximately 22 lb). A maximum checked baggage weight of 25 kg (approximately 55 lb) is afforded for flights within Mexico and 23 kg (approximately 50 lb) on international services.

An exclusively ART fleet of planes is operated by Aeromar. Both the ATR 42 and ATR 72 models are regularly flown, with the dual-propeller jets quickly transporting passengers on short routes. The aircraft are designed to carry either 48 or 68 passengers. Due to these regional-sized planes being considerably smaller than large scale commercial airliners, the boarding and disembarking times are greatly reduced.
