Comfort, hospitality and a wonderful breakfast buffet.
Location, breakfast, comfortable beds
Amazing design, great location, luxurious. Breakfast was very good
the marble shower
Location, staff, views, food. There is a club downstairs that is open until 3 am fri and sat nights. Due to the loud music it was impossible to sleep until they closed.
Good location, friendly staff Verys small rooms, almost no place to stand if you add a baby bed, very noisy airco, noisy closing of the entrance door of all the rooms
Hotel was well situated, close to the Old Town, and transportation links. Breakfast was substantial. Room was small, despite having a King Executive Room
exeellent staff, extremely friendly
Great location with good view, nice breakfast and equipped with all the necessities.
the breakfast was great. The staff was rude and HH Points were not honor because I did not pay for the room even though I stayed in teh room
Reception staff is good. Restaurant staff is not trained.
The bar and the room service end to early considering that the hotel claims to be international.
Great location, Convenient transport, good service could have lunch at the food
The free WIFI I was dissapointed with the hotel on a number of fronts. I had stayed in the hotel while on business in Stockholm and had particularly chosen a hotel with a gym. On arrival i found the Gym was not in operation due to the fact it was used for an event??? - Most likely as this was a new hotel the Gym wasnt ready. The staff at front office did their best to handle and luckily there was a gym down the road which they arranged. For room service i was dismayed to find they charge GBP7.50 to deliver to your room from the restaurant downstairs, the food however was ok. In relation to the comfort of the rooms the mattresses were very thin. Breakfast was a car crash - food was good organisation and presentation of food & table service was a disaster!
The staff, clean room and breakfast. They said it was close to downtown but it was three trams away, However, it was not difficult to make to get there.
The staff were absolutely the highlight of the stay, they were so lovely and helpful. They found out if was our honeymoon and even left us some fruit with a special congratulations card. The hotel of course was fantastic, in a great location and very funky. nothing
Comfortable, well-sleepig beds, wery good breakfest nothing
Location and general ambiance
Nice room, good breakfast The whole bathroom floor gets wet when showering, because of bad choice of glass wall on the bath tub.
When checking into the hotel we were booked into a room above the higway. After having a sleepless night I went to the front desk the next morning and explained my problem and requested another room. This was no problem at all and we got a room were we stayed the rest of our trip (with a good night rest). Good service!
This hotel was in a great location about 50 metres from the Metro. We were also able to walk to Gamla Stan easily through what was a area with lots of shops, bars and restaurants. I also felt very safe walking around the city. The breakfast in the Hotel was fantastic with great choices in hot and cold food. The breakfast room was a little hectic at the weekend but still there was no problem with seating or certainly no shortage of food. I think it was ideal for a city break Would like to have been able to open a window in the bedroom
Excellent breakfast, good location close to main metroline. We tried the classy restaurant and appreciated it. The style is a bit cold. The sauna was still under construction.
Very close to public transportation, one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. 90 Skr service charge for room service...
Quick check in .. room was upgraded cheaply, nice location, big comfy bed Bit noisy and boisterous in the foyer
The Hotel location is just next to the tube that it was very helpful to go city. Very beautiful Hotel. Nothing. Everything was perfect including breakfast.
close to underground station the price is high. i was first time in stockholm and may be wrong but price of hotel seemed to me on high side
good spot, convenient for sight seeing It's a 3 nights stay in the hotel. On the 2nd day, hotel move all my personnal belongings to another room by neither asking my opponion nor informing me about the change. And on the 3rd day, my door key is diabled without any reason. I feel that the hotel doesn't welcome me at all and allowing such unprofessional things happen which seems like a hint that they want me to leave ASAP.
Proximity to most museums, good shopping and restaurants. Perfect buffet breakfast. Nice pool setting in vaulted basement. The early (06:00) morning wake up call by the garbage truck in the alley.
Location, polite staff Definitely not a five star hotel - have not been renovated for some time, rooms cosy
Breakfast is excellent.... Bath room quite small....
Good location for old town, good breakfast Tired & small rooms (certainly not 5* or even 4* standard), staff variable - some unhelpful & indifferent
Sorry, not much to say, The room was smelling, i think it is from the rubbish bin which we can see from the room we stayed. Some views are ok. The room was too small, both my husband and i cant hardly move. The toilet and shower was not up to the std. I was disappointed and the weather was not good either. Both make my day miserable. (Mrs Pihl)
the style of the hotel and the location
Location You can hear the people on neighboring rooms
the location of this hotel and the beds it was rather noisy, we slept on the left side of the hotel, on the ground floor was the kitchen and transportation of all kinds of things like the carbage, early in the morning
Trendy place in a lively area , attractive design, great buzz at the bar , friendly welcome. This is a hotel where you instantly feel well, bedding is top quality and the rooms are very quiet , so you can really sleep well. A good place to meet and party as well. Room space is measured and only top rates give access to some good vital space but this seems to be the norm in Sweden.
In an expensive city, it is a good option, though rooms and bathroom are really small. It is although a modern hotel with walking distance to city center
Very helpful and friendly staff. A quiet square is out front with lots of people playing boules. The hotel is very central: The metro is 100 meters away and it's only two stops from T-Centralen. The theatre in the hotel was under renovation.
This hotel was in a great location, and the staff was incredibly accommodating. The rooms were very stylish and perfectly clean. We arrived very late our first night, and we just missed the closing of their kitchen. Luckily, they have 24 hour room service, and they even comped us our meal, which was really generous. They also sent my postcards for me for free when we were checking out. And breakfast buffet is top notch! We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Everything you could possibly want is there in your room. And if its not in your room, you can request it. Even a personal shopper and a pillow menu!
The staff was extremely friendly and quick! Very service minded!
Huge bathroom, lovely bed linen, and toweling robes.
the location, the ambiance, the decoration, the staff, the buffet breakfast small primary bathroom
The staff was really great and helpful. Wifi coverage in the hotel really sucks. I had to stand to next to the room door to get the Wifi signal, and it was impossible to get the signal on bed!!
Friendly staff, very cosy and comfortable rooms, music in restrooms, quality breakfast, quite, close to all popular destinations, original design in everything paid parking
location, staff and overall ambience of hotel. lack of air conditioning in rooms
Nice and helpful staff Bang and Olufsson equipment not in all rooms
nice quiet room and excellent location and very good breakfast
location, nice rooms no free internet (even in the lobby) is not from this time
My husband and I loved that all was authentic ART, and so easily followed with the captions. We thought the decor was so real, tangable, and so much History to be shared; added to the time there. The location was super to enjoy the OLD CITY. Thank you so very much! We would have liked a place to have a night-cap, glass of wine in the eve, on the premises, Rather then walking the streets looking for a place to rest and talk, and then returning to sleep.
good theme, nice ambience breakfast was apalling. Quite the worst arrangements I have experienced in 5 years of frequent business travel. No fitness facilities. Expensive internet facilities. Overall overpriced
Nice and clean rooms even they are quite small. Breakfast does not include to the room price but it is good. Quite hard to get a taxi.
Staff was great. Location was perfect; in the heart of historic area.
I havent feel stars more than three
Mid size cosy hotel with a maritime atmosphere in the very nice Gamla Stan. Having forgotten my powersupply for my laptop I was very happy by all the efforts made by the hotel personnel to find an appropriate solution for me. 2-3 people shifting gear at once to help me out. Great service written in capital! n.a.
Nothing to like. This is not 5 stars hotel. Maximum 3 stars. Windows was broken. Too small rooms.AC Not working. Expensive and breakfast is not included.
everything. (decoration, staff, breakfast, service...) If U are a solo woman traveller, you can take surprise and really happy service from them. The hotel is in the centre of old city so it can be big, but the atmosphere and decoration is perfect and really clean. You can feel you are in the 4 star hotel in the old city of stockholm. Staffs are really kind and helpful. I needed to take a train at 8:30am but the breakfast started 8:00am because it was weekend. I told staffs about my train time, and they started the breakfast 7:30 just because of me. I was really happy and thanks to them. no tub. but no matter.
Nice and central position; nice hotel for those who like antiques and old fashion furniture
Fantastic interior Poor breakfast
Great location and friendly stuff!!! Parking situation
Everything was just right. The location is spectacular, the service and facilities were excellent, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. If I had to pick a highlight, it would be breakfast (variety and taste).
I attended a conference at the Swedish parliament so that the location was perfect. Though I wasn't on vacation, the churchbells from the nearby church did make me feel as if I were on vacation.
Lovely building and very nice staff. My room was unheated on my arrival and I felt very cold during the night. I only realised that the heater wasn't on after I failed to warm up.There was also a shortage of fresh fruit for breakfast but I liked the fresh orange juice.
furniture, location, uniquess no
It was wonderfull old hotel in the historical parts of Stockhol. A lot of nice antik things, etc. Small rooms.
I got a women's room. Small accesoires but it made me feel welcome. It's situated in th best part of Stockholm, old town. The carpet. No bath tube. The room was very very warm even though no heat was on.
Good location, close to the old town and the central station The breakfast could have been a little better, it lacked proper cheese and salami, and the vegatable was not very fresh. Also the breakfast room was very small, with a very few tables, yet too many people.
Great Location! And the idea of staying in a boat is quite nice as well! Close to everything in Stockholm. Most of the main places of interests are walking distance. Employers were nice and professionals. Restaurant have a great view of the lake and city council. Breakfast was also nice! Will definely stay here again in my next trip to Stockholm! Bathroom was a bit tiny but was sufficient for my needs. To be honest have nothing to complain about!
Very good location - right by the old town. Nice staff. Free internet connection on one computer at the reception. Very nice buffet breakfast - lots of choice and everything was very fresh. Very comfortable bed. Beautiful boat - lovely carpeting everywhere. You may be a bit daunted by the shower at first - it is connected to the wash basin tap, so you draw a curtain around yourself and have a shower on the floor. You cannot have two people in the bathroom at the same time. There is also not much room in the room to move around. And we stayed in the First Officer's Cabin! (10 metres squared.)
Location is perfect - right beside the Old Town, but away from traffic and tourist crowds. Staff at the reception is very helpful. Wi-fi lan with free internet. Beds, although rather small, are pretty comfortable. The shower is tiny and dull. And be prepared to suffer rocking - it's a ship!
Good restaurant on board, wonderful location and friendly staff make a stay in Stockholm pleasant.
Very convenient location. Great breakfast. Small, but quaint rooms had a very nice feel. Excellent value for the money.
good value for money but still comfortable, clean and has character
Location, views and the charm of staying on a yatch.
nothing the hotel is dirty ... i even went to the WC and it was too dirty they didn't clean it at all. thanks god i stay one night only
This is a fun, unique place to stay and is a great value for the price. The location is fantastic and the place is in nice condition. Breakfast was impressive. It was really fun to get a taste of what ocean liner travel was. It wasn't a problem for me but it is tight quarters. If you want a lot of space, this might not be the spot for you. Both the hot water in the shower and the internet were a little spotty at times. Not terrible, but not 100% consistent. I still really enjoyed my stay though and would happily stay again.
It was so convenient for Gamala Stan, Central Station, Tunnelbanna. It was quiet. The views were great. The breakfast was good. I loved my cosy cabin. Great to come back to the boat after a hard day sightseeing. The coffee was rotten but surprisingly that seems to be the case everywhere in Stockholm.
Sauna, breakfast, staff, cleanliness. Construction in front of hotel - not their fault, and they do forwarn guests.
I liked the location, right in the vivid square and not far away from the historical site. The stuff was very unfriendly during the whole stay. Very arrogant, not helpful. Also the limiting parking possibility could cause a problem.
Good breakfast buffet and good reception staff. Good location also. The room was poorly cleaned.
The staff are really friendly and helpful - they went out of their way to recommend places to visit. The cocktail bar is great, with a really lively atmosphere. One of our rooms had been refurbished, the other had not, which was a shame because the paint was peeling off the ceiling a bit. The rooms were very clean though.
Nothing We got a room without windows under ground so that was pretty aweful. Fick ett rum under jord utan fönster för 1.890SEK
Eat nice Rebuilding
location, standard of room, breakfast well, very crowded
The hotel was in a really good location, the bars had interesting design features & the buffet breakfast was excellent. We opted to stay in the cheaper cabin (windowless) room. I'd advise anyone to spend extra money an opt for a regular room as it got pretty stuffy in there. Also on two nights we woke up to the sound of furniture being moved overhead (I think the room was located below the bar).
Very nice and clean, modern too.The food was all you could ask for!
distance to the city in formal
The hotel and its staff were great. The staff was very helpful. The location of the hotel was excellent for seeing the sights we wanted to see.
Great location, good staff - friendly hotel no
the breakfast was outstanding.
The good location (in the center of the old town), very good breakfast
This is a charmingl hotel in great part of Stockholm, Gamla Stan. The front desk staff are all very freindly and accommodating. The room was great and very well maintained. Great bathroom and loved the shower! The breakfast was wonderful with a large selection of hot and cold dishes. Just down the street is a great Italian restaurant, Ristorante Bettola Di Papa Sisto.
Great location, friendly staff, nice breakfast, good value for money Room could have more space
Russian speaking stuff!!! Expensive
Cozy and clean! Too too too small room
location, style, breakfast parking facilities
perfect location - very close to most city attractions, quiet street, cosy nice looking rooms, attentive staff car park area is not near the hotel that can be inconvenient if you expect to use the car often
The hotel was very central, the buffet breakfast offered good variety and the cleaners didn't come too early! I would have liked the option of having tea and coffee in my room.
The room was in the lobby, about 95degrees in temperature and had a window at street level so the window could not be left open. The street was a pedestrian street filled with people out for a party. It was loud. I booked myself another hotel. I would never stay here unless you can sleep through anything. Room location, temperature of room, unfriendly staff, noisr
Nice hotel in a quiet district of Stockholm with range of attractions nearby as small shops, cafes and bars, silent streets and "tunnelbana" in a few steps from a hotel door. Window of my room was in front of another building and in the evenings you'd better to close curtains, also small pedestrian walk just below the window:) but if you sleep well... doesn't matter!
The private sauna The room was Small
The location was excellent to shopping and subways. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was very pleased with our room. We requested the junior suite, since we had 3 people and actually got 2 adjoining rooms with 1 1/2 baths and a mini fridge. It was very roomy and comfortable. The breakfast was good very good. The room was a bit drafty, and we didn't seem to be able to control the temperature.
The staff was friendly. Breakfast was fair the room was too cold
The staff was phenomenal, especially Tina(Christina) treated me very well and was a huge help in a city where I had not been! Would stay here again There was no ice in the building and there was no flow of air so when I showered it turned into a sauna and the room was stuffy. I'd recommend getting a room with a window.
24h reception, friendly staff, cleanliness. Close to public transport. Not really. I booked a budget single bedroom with no window. It was OK since I spent most of my time outside the room. All I wanted was a budget room where I can rest, maintain personal hygiene and have a decent breakfast in the morning. In my oppinion it matched my expectations and plans.
Nice, clean ja comfortable hotel. Easy access by underground. Globen was only few minutes away. Good breakfast.
Cheap, quite, near the city center It's a bit difficult get to hotel from the underground station.
it was near to the centrum no window in the single room.
Location on the first place, historical, "lobby" and the breakfast. Extremely small room. 2m x 2,2m plus 2m x 0,9m (bath)
Excellent location. A fun hotel, simulating a ship, complete with loophole windows and polished brass. Very clean bathroom, but no place to put your vanity case. A nice glass of port, compliments of the hotel - delightful! All in all, a warm and welcoming hotel. No bar. No proper breakfast room, so I opted to have my breakfast in a nearby café.
I loved this hotel! It was in the perfect location--right in the centre of the old town, near the palace. Everything was very professional. The breakfast has plenty of selection. It was a great value for the money. No negatives
Positive staff! Terrible food! Tiny! Noice from outside and other rooms!
The hotel is conveniently located in "Gamla Stan", the old city. The furniture and the collection of antiques and memorabilia are very nice.
Good location on Gamla Stan, helpful&friendly staff, interesting interior of the hotel, nice breakfast.
Very neat and cozy. The style is something special: lots of curiosity items, antique furniture, good books. Obviously this hotel is run with love and care.
Ambiance is great
Location, staff Very small rooms No taxi access (50m walk)
very friendly atmosphere. very good location for sightseeing in the old town the room was very small.
The rooms are old prison cells that have been converted into hotel rooms. Inside the rooms there were news paper transcripts about old inmates. The breakfast is excellent, especially the home made rye bread.
The idea of making a hotel of an old prison is fantastic.
Loved the country feel and that it was converted jail. Very cute & modern. Restaurant food was very good.
Original setting, nice building + very nice surrounding on a quiet "island". Small but comfortable room. nothing.
Good location in the city, quiet place with historical touch, free parking, big room ( were lucky )
One of the most unique hotels one is likley to stay in ! Due to the layout, it didnt feelk like a very sociable hotel.
Very helpful staff, when I needed a bank, train schedules or other advise, the help I received was, quick and seem to come effortlessly. Gotta love that! Norrtull subway station is located only a few hundred meters away, which makes it very comfortable to stay at this very peaceful location.
Peaceful and calm environment in a park. İnteresting interior preserved as an old jail. 1 km to the nearest metro station which is 3 stops to the center.Expensive when compared to what it offers.
Very nice hotel, old prison where famous Swedish people were jailed. Sleept in a prison cell.
Wow, it really is a prison. Be prepared for the oppressive prison atomosphere as you walk to your cell. It's a bit frightening! The room was perfect though.
The atmosphere was perfect: ancient building in the heart of a fascinating old city; and yet spotlessly clean, well-appointed and comfortable. The breakfast was extensive and extremely good. The welcome we received was very friendly and staff were always most helpful. The hotel's flexibility with accommodating a guest arriving early from usa was very much appreciated indeed. I loved the hotel, but I notice that whilst the website does say that "there is no elevator", it does not explain that there is a steep spiral staircase. Beautiful as it is, this would be an impossible hotel for the elderly or even slightly disabled.
Unpretentious but with lots of character! Warm, friendly, small hotel in the heart of the old town. Some small things like the bathroom sink doesn't drain well and "kitchenette" was an exageration! When someone was in the room above us, it was noisey as there are bare floorboards.
it was the most different place we've ever stayed, built in 1607 but now with marble bathrooms, it was right in the middle of the old town & you felt like you were stepping back in history, there were even ghost tours beign given under our window on weekends, staff was very quick to accomodate requests (for a replacement lamp & larger cups) and helpful with directions. the lighting was much to dim, you could only read by one of the lamps
central location, charming decor, fantastic comfortable beds, friendly staff
the location is perfect as it is in the middle of the old town. I stayed in room 5 which is the top floor, giving you the best feeling of the old building you are staying in. Very nicely decorated. shower / toilet area was slightly small.
The Hotel Sven Vintappare is a quaint inn which features warmth and hospitality in the heart of Stockholm. Though the Inn still has all the charm of the original building from the early 1600's, the amenities have been very nicely detailed to add comfort to the stay. Staff at the Hotel were very friendly and served an excellent, healthy and balanced breakfast in the morning. The Cafe at the ground floor was a welcome treat to 'come home to' in the late afternoon. I would definitely recommend a stay here for travellers looking to experience a sense of the Old City... whether here on vacation or business.
Great location, friendly staff. very personal only a small number of guests A bit hard to find the place and you need a pass code to get in after hours
The location and the "cosy" room. No lift and narrow stairs if you have much luggage.
Free wifi everywhere, kind service, breakfast on the terrasse
Delightful room overlooking the most peaceful park church yard. Wonderful friendly and helpful staff.
polite & helpful staff. spacious room. quiet location but easy access to public transport
The hotel is very central in a nice neighbourhood of Stockholm. The building was old but very nice renovated with a nice garden in front. The breakfast was good even the staff very friendly and helpfully The bathroom was very pover and small
Excellent service, lovely historic building, beautifully decorated, clean, very good breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff There was no lift
It was close to the city centre and lots of pubs and bars. Besides u kinda get what u expect, it's supersmall as it said in the description but enough for sleeping. If u want to enjoy some hours in your room, it's certainly not the right choice. It's a ship, right; so u can't open the windows, which is even worse when the heater is going crazy and u feel both overheated and underoxygenized.
Location and Price were terrific, but they are bunk beds and the room is quite small. As long as it's a budget holiday then go for it.
never dont book Mini single room, the ceiling is too low, so single room is much better
the girl at the reception was very friendly and helpful The room is old, ruined and very dirty. And on the top, pricey, very pricey for the value. The toilet was broken, the shower full of fungus, the mattress didn't have a bottom sheet, the window is locked, etc. We paid like a regular hotel but we got a poor backpacker room. I will never go back to that hotel.
Very friendly staff, they moved us to a room with a lovely view and organised a little oil heater too. The choice of beakfast food could be better
The staff were excellent. We travelled with our 2 year old daughter. The room that they gave us was not very child friendly. The bed was very high and had to be accessed via stairs. We asked for our room to be changed (for my childs’ safety). They happily accommodated us and put us in a room that was very easily accessible with a buggy and that was suitable for a child. Breakfast was great. The boat is also in an excellent location. Many of the sites can be accessed by foot from the boat. This is however not a luxury hotel. It’s very standard, old fashioned and small accommodation for people on a budget that want to stay central and perhaps experience staying on a boat! It’s definitely liveable though and we certainly enjoyed our stay there The bathroom is not that grand. It’s one of those where there isn’t an actual shower cubicle. The shower shares the same floor as the rest of the bathroom.
The location is good, it is very close to Gamla Stan Mattress on the bed was too soft
The receptionist was exceptionally helpful There was a pair of women's knickers found down the back of the bed and also the bed sheets were too small.
Ethernet connexion Water sounds in the warming system small rooms
Location in centre of Stockholm, excellent view over the water towards town hall, interesting accommodation on old ship. Breakfast a bit bland. No ordinary black tee without essence of fruit flavour etc.
shipping too much people in the breakfast, --->had to wait a while before we got place to eat our bfast.
Clean hotel nearby old city center and very nice roof terrace Elevator works with keycard but this did not always function like it should do
The location was excellent, the nearest metro station only 100 meters away. The breakfast was good though crowded. Helpful staff. The double room was very small with separate beds. No air-conditioning. A little worn decor.
The room was too small and loud, it was standard doble room, with 2 separate small bads, very uncomfortable. Price is too hight for this level of comfort. I'd say hotel is not more than 2 stars. Interior is very old. Breakfast is poor, have to wait free table.
Location. The staff are very helpful and friendly too. We entered our room an our earlier because it was ready. It is expensive as it does not reflect the standard of a 4star hotel. The hotel is dated, dull and needs a total refurbishment. We were in a tiny room and ooh the showerroom was so dated and ugly. Also the hotel is built at the foot of a hill so if you are in a room at the back of the hotel you will have the feeling of being underground. Lastly, the hotel targets business travellers - imagine breakfast is from 6:30 till 9:30 only !!
The hotel is located - 5 minutes on foot to Old city, 7 minutes to Viking Terminal. Numbers not so big, but comfortable. Very friendly reception. A good breakfast.
A solid breakfast buffet, large and clean room
Close to Södermalm
