Clean room, well kept, and decent location Small room, very expensive parking
housekeeping was excellent banquet staff was excellent excellent location hotel for 20s and 30s Front desk staff was all business, condescending and rude our king room was miniscule bathrooms lacked safety bars parking rules were never made clear
Stylish, attentive service, cool bar, boutique nature of facility Justlocation is just a bit out of way but that could considered both a positive as well as negative
the room was clean lobby was way to small and noisy
Great location and decor. Well maintained and clean. Downtown and Washington Park were easily accessible by foot and the light rail. Staff were very friendly. Room was incredibly small, especially compared to the Marriotts I stay at for business. My room was also next to the elevators so glad I brought my ear plugs.
Front desk and bell staff we very friendly and helpful. Everything was great.
The hotel is close to many great restaurants and theater. The staff were amazing - and the attention to detail and creative touches are very appreciated. No shelf or counter in the bathroom is annoying - but the ambiance and details outweigh that!
I love this hotel and stay here every time I go to Portland. All of the staff, from the housekeepers, valet, bartenders, and the front desk are happy and kind and will go out of their way to make you feel welcome.
As almost all travellers to this location (out of city center) arrive by car, they need to more prominantly warn customers that the actual cost for a night stay includes $30 charge.
spa was very nice (steam room and jacuzzi especially). hotel staff was always pleasant. breakfast was plentiful. good location--very quick drive to downtown portland. hotel was very quiet. beds were comfortable and windows were large (probably better to have a river view--ours was a "hillside view" of an office building). parking was overpriced--at the very least, having a valet was a little silly (the valet would essentially run across the street to get our car, which we could see from the front of the hotel. also, we came in late a few times and had to park ourselves). the valets were always very nice, however.
valet was excellent river walk a nice distraction everything was just so average i might as well stayed at embassy suites the carpet in the hallway was pretty ugly
Room was nice and clean the restaurant next door had Goidelic food but is expensive. They have a sweet white wine, it's a chateau st Michele I think that is excellent. The room is not extraordinary, it's a hotel room, ours had a view of the parking lot. The parking is valet only which I'm not a fan of.
Great rooms Paying $19 for parking!
the hotel staff did a very nice job of accommodating some specific requests, in collaboration with the hotel restaurant. contacting hotel personnel by phone was a chore - I was shuttled back and forth between the front desk and reservations until I found the right person.
Loved them location. Beds were very comfortable. The spa was great....loved the massage There was no shared (male/female)whirlpool or sauna areas. Would have used those more if could have used with my husband instead of in the locker rooms as separate facilities
Room was comfortable. Place was far from anything (shopping, business district, major transportation). Also, phone was broken and showerhead didn't work well.
Very nice hotel and use of the spa facilities was a wonderful perk! Loved it!
Location was nice. Quiet, nice staff. No room facing the river has a river view, just a view of the trees but it still peaceful. The rooms are outdated. The bed (mattress)has been used for some time, it was like sleeping in a hole. cleanliness was fair, could be better. Overall it was a solid 3stars no more.
comfortable beds, scenery, walking path, restaurant I asked for a quiet room. I was told I had one but it was near the elevators. I also requested floor 4 or 5 but was told not available. A lady checked in, was told her mountain view room was not available and she was upgraded to river view at no charge, upper floor. this was after I checked in. The staff could have accomodated me but didn't.
Our brunch at the restaurant was awesome. We were so happy to hear that they provided a free shuttle downtown, that was really helpful. The bed was so comfortable and all the towels and linens were super soft and luxurious.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean, quiet room with plenty of space and outlets (including USB ports). Close enough to Portland to make a full day trip there, but without the steep Portland prices! We would definitely stay here again. Getting back on the freeway was a little tricky, but not too bad.
No refrigerator. No coffee machine in room.
Park lane suites is my go to hotel every time I come to Portland. Great prices, friendly and helpful staff. Nice rooms, I prefer to stay at the inn suites. Comfy ! Nicely located, easy to walk 10 minutes into down town & close to great neighborhoods!
Nothing The place has bed bugs. My girlfriend had huge swollen red bites all over her body the next day.
Great neighborhood, close to public transportation & restaurants. Park Lane Inn needs small refrigerators & microwave/convection ovens. Bathroom vent needed cleaning.
Helpful staff, great items in the fridge and kitchenette with an eye on local, sustainable, etc. Some reviews had poopooed the place, so I was literally STUNNED at the shining lobby and great room. Great price, great location. Its not top-shelf, bu that's what I sought it out for.
Proximity to downtown Portland was excellent. It's definitely a gentrified motel. Noise from adjoining rooms was very noticeable.
The bed was comfortable, and the location was great for what I needed. Bus stops close by. The staff was always helpful. The breakfast didn't have everything that a pricier hotel would've had, but it was there and worth what I paid for the room. The building looked like it was older and not being taken care of, and there were some obvious cracking in the paint.
This is a discusting hotel in every way.
I liked the location. Walking distance to the city center. Food trucks and sights along the way. Bus station is close, train is about a 5-10 minute walk. Service was good, friendly and helpful. I also liked Suki's Lounge downstairs. Good food, good drinks, very busy and crowded on night/weekends. Overall happy with this Travelodge! You get what you pay for as far as the room itself goes, nothing fancy. Beds and pillows were SUPER uncomfortable, definitely bring your own pillow if possible. Shower didn't get as hot as I'd have liked, but the balcony was a plus.
They allow pets, but not if they're unattended. Really should have mentioned that in the policy, ruined my whole trip to Portland.
The place is really nice and it is only 10-15 minutes walk to downtown Portland. Staff is really nice too and you get a nice free breakfast there! Also the parking is nice and free even on the leaving day!
Great value for the rooms. It is by the highway and can hear the traffic.
I was a little late to leave last day. They were understanding, patient, and good people.
Nothing really. The door barely closed. It looked partly open even after the lock. Very noisy walls. Woke up ever time someone walked or went up/down the stairs. Someone kept driving around the parking lot multiple times around 2am. Location is near freeway so that was somewhat loud. The staff was rude and the bar downstairs has terrible service / food.
For the money, this was a great value! The price was so much better than the airport hotels, and it was only a few exits SW of downtown on I-5. The property was VERY clean, very nice and well-kept. For an independently owned hotel, the owners have obviously worked very hard to keep pace with the offerings of the major chains. I would definitely recommend. I do wish the breakfast was a little more robust (eggs, or bacon or sausage), but really the food was fine for the price we paid for the room. No complaints, really.
We booked a 1-King-bed room. Our 5yr old grandson ended up coming with us, so we called & asked if we could switch rooms. The very pleasant woman said, "Oh, you don't need to - there's a hide-a-bed in the room." When we arrived after 9pm, tired after driving all day, the man at the front desk said they don't even have hide-a-beds anymore. We were forced to pay $10 more for the last 2-queen room. Irritating.
location good Smell from cleaning spray and previous smoker. Mattress lumpy
People at the desk were very friendly. The area had a couple sketchy characters about and the night desk clerk roved the premises for safety. Loved that since I was walking the dog alone. Overall a great stop for the cheap cost.
