Pros: It was a really special place, evereything was perfect the room the breakfast the tours and all the staff ! I miss this place already! Absolutely recommended!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and clean room. The owner was super friendly and helpful, and even gave us little souvenir when we left. The location was quiet but still within walking distance to the center of town.
Cons: None.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This hotel Is run by a family. The lady who looks after the guest provides many information, arranged taxi for us and most of all she pays special attention to guests need. One of us has to follow a gluten free diet and the second day she had prepared a special dish.Breakfast Is very good, including fruits, pancakes, eggs, toasts. Really a nice place.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The cottages are a good size and have a lovely large shower room too. Beds are comfy and the place is spotlessly clean. However, the best thing has to be the wonderful hostess who was not only a delight to talk with but also was fantastic at helping us organise our time there. She helped me arrange both a boat guide and a trekking guide and pointed me in the direction of a lovely restaurant round the corner. She also allowed me to stay at the property late as she had no one moving into my room. The breakfast was also delicious and kept me full until way after lunchtime!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: very good breakfast ,owner's kindness
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host is amazing and friendly and thoughtful and just so nice! She's so generous. She gave us mango juice and avocado juice which were amazing! And she let us borrow her bikes to go around the city. And in the morning she gave us her mango from her garden! The breakfast she made was sooo delicious and healthy.!! The room is also super comfortable and beautifully painted! Location is super strategic, Central but quite. Just next to the river and across pagoda.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super comfortable environment, feels like home. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Though I arrived in the very early morning, they showed me a warm welcome by answering call bell immediately, bringing us to our house and let us rest first before doing all the check ins. Very nice breakfast too, all freshly made by staff and a seasonal fruit jam was offered. The owner was super super friendly, introducing us the spots around Inle Lake, and help us get a boat driver who was very friendly too. In general a very pleasant stay here though duration was short, I would definitely come again years later.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were so helpful, arranged all our travel needs, and made us feel special. The breakfasts were simply brilliant - the best we've had anywhere. The location is excellent - so close to the market and eating areas. The room was spacious, well appointed and clean. We enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend Trinity Family Inn.
Cons: There was nothing to fault.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a great hotel! It was the best resort we had in Myanmar. The hostess was absolutely kind, She gave us all the information we needed to visit the area and there are bikes to use for free if you want to know the area cycling. I am going to recomend this resort to all my friends!
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Gorgeous bungalow! Friendly, supportive and empathetic staffs provided super professional service to us. Very clean and comfortable bed! The whole environment is beautiful and relaxed.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The whole setting is very very beautiful, room and furniture sooo nice! Reccomended!
Cons: the lack of Wifi in the room: not comfortable for this type of hotel at this rate. Restaurant is good but expensive.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This is more like home from home than a hotel. A place of serenity and tranquility. Your host Fabian who calls himself the Gardner is always day to help with any difficulties. Staff are excellent, very courteous and welcoming. The outside is a delight and the rooms are spacious and exceeded our expectations. It was a delight to stay there and enjoy the peace that we found
Cons: Absolutely nothing however if you expect nightlife and a bustling location this is NOT for you. There are a couple of nearby bars frequented by locals who are very friendly but if you want restaurants then it is a 30 minute boat ride to nearby Nuang Shwe before dusk and then a 45 minute return by taxi Along a bumpy backroad.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Dream location and perfect hotel to relax It was low season so we got the hotel almost for ourselves. Nice rooms nice staff nice breakfast ! I wish I could live there :)
Cons: They add a mark up on the boat trip - more expensive than other hotel Spa is very expensive as well Taxi to the airport is just outrageously priced (30k)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. I would like to make a special mention of Sandy (the Manager) who was very helpful to us during our stay and to Ko Myo (the head of waiters). The rooms are spacious, very well decorated and maintained. Highly recommended!!!

Pros: The staff was outstanding. Everybody was extremely friendly and always eager to help. The breakfast was hands down the best we had out of the hotels we stayed at during our holiday. We also had a few dinners at the restaurant and the food was fantastic. As we travelled during the wet season, we had a few rainy afternoons which we used to enjoy the spa services and I can only recommend doing so.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing experience from start to finish, the staff were so friendly and accommodating, even offering a couple hours late check-out. Food was delicious, pool was lovely, spa was relaxing, my room was just gorgeous. Also housekeeping kept leaving me delicious treats throughout the day :) Can't recommend this place highly enough!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Facilities such as rooms, swimming pool, restaurant, bar, jetty for boat, bicycles, foods
Cons: Only 1 restaurant for such a big resort. There should be another casual reataurant
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect
9.6 Excellent
Pros: very comfortable and large room. the location was perfect to explore the lake and the pool had fantastic views
Cons: the journey from the airport was a bit long
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The grounds are beautiful. We went in the quiet season (July) and were kindly upgraded to a fantastic suite. Immaculate food, very friendly and helpful staff. We can't remember a better hotel stay. Incredible value for money if you go at this time of year.
Cons: Nothing. It was perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location, the service, the staff and management, the accommodation itself
Cons: There is room to improve re the food served for lunch and dinner
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Quiet place with view on the lake. Very friendly staff, they even reopened the restaurant at night for me and upgraded me into one of the villas due to very few customers. Good food as well for breakfast and other meals.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wow. We were kindly upgraded to the Provost Suite as the hotel was not that busy. Thank you to the management (Baptiste) for this - we really really appreciated it. The room was so nice we didn’t want to leave. A real pleasure to slow the pace down after the non stop travelling and sightseeing of Myanmar- so much to see and we needed a rest. This was a fantastic spot to have a break. We didn’t leave the hotel on first day - was so nice to relax by the lake. Breakfast was awesome. Croissants (as others wrote) are exquisite. I even had to ask for them at dinner as they were so good - the staff and chef obliged - thank you. Spa was lovely and reasonably priced. We took a local taxi to Aythaya vineyard. A great experience- seeing one of the only two Burmese vineyards. Dinner in the vineyard restaurant was good. The room is well thought out with even mosquito lotion. The body lotion, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner are all lovely. Complimentary water. Great coffee machine. Breakfast on the verandah over looking the lake was fabulous. Highlight of it all was a trip around the lake for the full day on a long boat. Just superb. If you only have one day - make sure you do this for the whole day. So picturesque and so many craftsman’s too - jewellers, weavers, cigar makers, black smiths. A full village on the lake, all on stilts plus the odd monastery too. Seeing tomatoes growing in abundance on the lake was just amazing - together with the locals collecting boatloads (literally) of them all. What fantastic photos to remember Lake Inle. Really recommend this place for a lovely break in a hectic Myanmar sightseeing schedule. We stayed 3 nights but could have easily stayed longer. We didn’t have time to use the free bikes, for instance. Thank you Sanctum for a lovely stay.
Cons: Nothing - everything was just great
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Glorious setting beside the lake and superb service and facilities. Without a doubt the best place to stay and experience / explore Inle Lake and the diverse ethnic groups living around and in the lake.
Sofitel Inle Lake Myat Min - Nyaungshwe - Bedroom
4
9.3 Excellent (471 reviews)
AED 386+
Overview Reviews
The 101 suite Sofitel Inle Lake Myat Min is a luxury boutique resort ideally located on the shore of picturesque Inle lake, built between 20 acres of rice fields and floating gardens. It features authentic Myanmar style and the latest technology. The resort has 2 restaurants, 2 bars, fitness and wellness center as well as 2 swimming pools. Perfect for couples and travellers.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Rooms are simply amazing! Clean, wide and well furnished. Staff is very kind and helpful, the spa is great! Hotel can arrange some trips. Attention to every details, such as aromatic water when you sit at the pool, very much appreciated!
Cons: Dinner at the restaurant is not what is expected from a 5 star hotel. Room amenities are upon request, I needed a shower cap and i had to get dressed again and go outside to ask to a lady. By the way this is nothing of compared to this wonderful stay we had!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Out of many many hotels and Sofitels we have been to: WOW, this place is just another level. Beautifully situated right at the Inle Lake with just the right mix between appreciation of local beauty and up-scale hotel design.
Cons: The one and only thing which truly needs improvement is the kitchen. While breakfast is okay for this hotel category (some ham and cheese would have been nice), dinner really is not. We have seen highly sophisticated and yet inexpensive „local-Western fusion cuisine“ around south-east Asia, this Sofitel‘s kitchen seems to still lack some inspiration. Also, the quality of the current dinner offering was not sufficient (the burger’s beef really not eatable) —> why not reinvent some local dishes! ;) Apart from that, we’d really come back any time!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The service really went the extra mile and the facilities were beautiful and the epitome of comfort. We don’t eat any meat, eggs, or dairy so the chef was really helpful in adapting the menu to fit our needs. With the excellent chef on hand, perhaps offer cooking classes. And if the decorations were for sale, we likely would have purchased some.
Cons: .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful stay ! Everything is perfect from the location to the staff.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is the most amazing property. So serene and the views are to die for.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Love the fireplace location.
Cons: Breakfast selection is below my expectation. The selection of the breakfast is far more limited as a 5 stars hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: New hotel, excellent to get away and relax!
Cons: The menu is a bit limited, though food is still very good.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: New and clean structure, big room with lake view, super helpful staff, several activities to do during your staying (cinema, picking garden, etc)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything is so great about Sofitel. Best hotel experience in Myanmar so far. Felt so comfortable, staff took care of us. The set up was beautiful. Was able to relax and enjoy the beauty that the lake had to offer. So much more worth it than the boat trip. I wished I stayed at the hotel all day
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was sensational great view. The pool was perfect beautiful sunset over the lake and backdrop of mountains. Staff were lovely breakfast was yummy. Very relaxing
Cons: Somewhat limited menu on local food, I travel to experience good local food. Though significant western food available.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice room, fantastic breakfast, very friendly staff, very good restaurant and a perfect location. Even though the hotel is located at a road crossing it was very quiet. Excellent hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing stay! Nothing bad to say, From the staff to the place it was perfect!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It’s really confortable, individual bungalow are just perfect and on top of it there is a swimming pool
Cons: I think the concept of Ecolodge cool be pushed further there are so many small things that could be done to be really ecologic such as buying tea from the market instead of Lipton or remove individual packaging for the butter...
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location, the pool and the staff.
Cons: The breaker was off twice during our stay and the ceiling lights cannot be lit during these period but it was no big deal.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is incredibly beautiful and well kept, we specially loved the pool area in the middle of the lotus lake The rooms are gorgeous and if you can book a room with a balcony, perfect for the rainy afternoons Breakfast is the best we had during our trip in Myanmar and we can also recommend the bar The other aspect we really enjoyed is the location in the center of Nyaung Shwe. it’s close to good local restaurants and tours if you don’t want to always be at the hotel
Cons: Nothing really Loved everything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the pool is beautiful, in the middle of the lake. We weren't a lot at the hotel as it was low season but I guess if the hotel is full it might be a bit small... BUT everything was beautiful, the staff really friendly, breakfast really good PERFECT location, as really calm and in the middle of the village so close to restaurants
Cons: nothing I guess
10.0 Excellent
Pros: An oasis in town
9.2 Excellent
Pros: View point is a quiet refugium from noisy nyaung shwe. Surrounded by the water it is also a lot cooler than in the city and the pool is especially a perfect place to refresh. They offer a lot of traditional beauty products in the rooms for free. Everything was very clean. The staff was super friendly and helpful.
Cons: The View from the tower was not that interesting as the name of the hotel would make you expect, its a bit disappointing.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing hotel. The rooms are very nice, well decorated , luminous. The bathroom has a real separated shower ( very rare in Myanmar). I really appreciated the ecological side of the hotel : no plastic, everything natural, they even furnish 100% natural soap and shampoo ! In a country where you can see plastic trash everywhere ( even in the middle of the nature) it feels good to see that some people try to make a difference and preserve the environment. Great pool in the middle on the water!
Cons: I broke one of the pots with some natural scrub but they didn’t replace it the next day after the room cleaning and they left the broken pot in the bathroom.

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Myanmar Treasure Resort Inle in Nyaungshwe, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Inle Lake and Mingalar Market. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and a 24-hour front desk.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location on the lake is beautiful .Sunset at he property is lovely. It was not many tourists when we stay in April.bed is confortable.
Cons: Bathroom is ok.Coffee is imposible to drink, letterboxing better to forget. There is some problem with milk in Myanmar I guess as we have this same issue in all hotels except the one in Yangon.Th pick up service from the resort arrived late at the airport, no water in the car for a 1,20 min ride.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic view of the sunset on the lake. Very helpful staff.
Cons: The shower is outdoors and the screen for the bathtub is inadequate. Wet bathroom after shower. Since we had to dine at the Resort, the menu is the same for lunch and dinner.
7.9 Good
Cons: While the hotel location is very scenic, the prices in the hotel for taxis, massages, sightseeing, food & beverage are extremely unreasonable. They are asking for 3x the typical tourist cost. Once you are on the resort you are at their mercy as there isn’t anything around. The hotel should lower costs so guests stay on the hotel and trust the property. It feels like they are taking advantage of you (wait, they are!). Book as much as you can in advance or choose a another hotel. Price for a water was $4 US and a taxi into town was $25 US. Massive inflation on prices turned me off, which is too bad as the setting was beautiful.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Breakfast, sunset, the shower.
Cons: The rooms have no air conditioning and it was very very hot. No swimming pool. No gym. Electricity goes out several times per hour, and thus the internet and water supply are interrupted. I had no internet the first night and the reception staff did not really care. The other days, it was pretty bad.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful sunset lake views. Easy access to hotel boats. Resort was extremely picturesque. Our mountain view rooms allowed us to watch sunrise from alfresco.
Cons: It is quite far from most things. But almost like a zen getaway.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel located in a privileged spot with amazing and relaxing views to the lake. Really nice and polite staff, the bar and restaurant are good too. The room was big and clean.
Cons: I would have preffered more customized and budget options when asking for transport from the airport and arranging boat trips in the lake, but the stay overall was great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staffs exceptional service nice view and excellent room
Cons: none
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Quite and peaceful. Reachable with car only 40-50 km from airport
7.1 Good
Pros: Charming over water rooms
Cons: Nothing much
10.0 Excellent
Pros: NOTHING LESS THAN 7 STARS.ROOM IN FIRST ROW WAS CLASS APART.DESIGN ,AMBIENCE OF THIS HOTEL IS OUT OF THIS WORLD.
Cons: EXPENSIVE. BUT SUCH THINGS WILL BE EXPENSIVE.SO THOSE WHO CAN AFFORD,FOR THEM IS MUST & MUST GO PLACE.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Incredibly nice hotel at Inle lake: spacious and luxurious villas, very friendly and helpful staff, very good restaurant and a great pool. No noise except for sounds of nature. The hotel offers fair priced trips on the lake. We liked the breakfast a la carte more than the buffet style, cause it is very comfortable and everything is freshly served. Thank you so much for a wonderful time at your hotel!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were nice and helpfull
Cons: A bit aged compare to picture
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was wonderful! All the staff are well trained, friendly, and helpful. The facilities are all very well maintained and beautifully designed -- so much teak! I arrived, exhausted and frazzled, by overnight "VIP" bus from Yangon (which I only recommend to those who either feel they need to atone for past sins, or who are so young that they can sleep in tank in battle). The staff welcomed me for early check-in, and I had a very good breakfast (at an extra charge, which is to be expected). The staff arranged a tour of the lake by private boat, which lasted all day, at a very reasonable price. My room -- lake front villa -- was amazing! Everything was perfect. The off-season weather was exceptional -- and I have the sunburned face to prove it. Inle Lake is an incredible place to visit, and I highly recommend splurging on a high-end hotel like Aureum.
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: It’s an overpriced hotel. Once you are there, you are stuck. You don’t have a choice! We were put in a room with non-functioning aircon and the staff wanted to put an air cooler! With some convincing we were put in another room where thankfully the aircon worked. This hotel is avoidable considering nothing works here!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: - Lovely hotel with most beautiful view. - friendly staff
Cons: - prices for food and drinks in the hotel are 4-times higher than what tourists pay everywhere else. And there are no supermarkets or alternative possibilities nearby. I understand that prices in a 5-star hotel are generally higher, but that felt like a rip-off. - pool closes at 6pm :(
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Simply the best. Get a lake view front row room. A once in a lifetime experience. We did two nights. Wish we had done three. Spent amazing day on private boat all over the lake with the incredible 7daystours.
Cons: Leaving. Weird shower with pebbles was uncomfortable and didnt work as an idea.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great Breakfast. Secluded rooms. Amazing lake view
Cons: Would appreciate to be able to use the bike outside the hotel, for the bike rental is far.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very kind and helpfull starf
Cons: Eventhough the hotel is only 7 years old - it appears a little dated in need of renovation.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room was extremely spacious which was lovely; perfect for two friends travelling together to have their own space. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating; they organised our tours, and brought us drinks and snacks when we returned from our day. If you’re looking for a quiet, idyllic getaway this is perfect!
Cons: It’s quite far from town (maybe a 10 to 15min drive) but given that taxis are hard to come by and difficult to call this can prevent you from getting out and about. We only stayed 2 days so this wasn’t an issue, but we ate both dinners in the resort restaurant which was more costly than local restaurant meals. The cost of hotel transport into the town centre was also quite expensive in comparison to local taxi prices elsewhere, so keep that in mind. If you want to be in the heart of the town though, you won’t be on the lake, so you need to decide which experience you want.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: People were very nice. Good price for massage, and excursions. Very quiet and relaxing!
Cons: I prefer a buffet breakfast rather tan a la carte.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing property and amazing staff near the small friendly village of Khaung Daing. Free bikes to ride along the low traffic road, nice cool swimming pool and views from restaurant deck of the Shan Mountains. Staff very friendly and accommodating.
Cons: Would have liked to put my family of 4 ( 2 kids) in one villa, but they only allow 3 max even though the villa is big. Had to rent 2 villas. They are beautiful accommodations set in lush gardens. I liked them better than the water front “floating” villas.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: One of the best hotels I've been to. Everything is thought to the detail, everything is beautiful, clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and warm. The meals are very good and the spa too! without a doubt a sip to recommend and return!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great setting, very friendly staff and attentive Negative our rooms were at the entrance to waterway - very noisy with long tail boats coming in really early . Close by is the local town where the temple - a monk was chanting over a loud speaker approximately 18 hours a day - got very tiresome Was not impressed with food .They could do with some help Overall its in a beautiful part of the world and the staff are awesome
Cons: Above message
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely grounds. Staff very pleasant.
Cons: Nil
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was awesome, i loved this place. The cottage was so beautiful, the whole areas as well. Finally the staff was so so kind and welcoming, Lilin in reception and all others were so good to us. I coudn’t expect a better ending of my travel in myanmar, thanks a lot Pristine Lotus !!
7.9 Good
Pros: Employees of the Hotel were super friendly and arranged everything we needed. Very, very friendly and we liked it very much. The breakfast was very good and had everything we liked. The Rooms were very Beautiful, arranged like small indicidual boats and we were allowed for a late check-out. We liked to go with the rented boat through the channel to the lake visit very much. The pool is very fine, there is also a Jacuzzi and a Sauna and a Spa. We took several times the free bikes from the hotel. There were two very fine Myanmar restaurants (we have been only to these 2, but there are more) rather close.
Cons: There is a praying monk in the pagode beside, who is praying via a loadspeaker for quite some hours every day. So it is not really silent. This was still ok for us, but maybe not for "morning and evening sleep sensitive" persons.
7.5 Good
Pros: Lovely rooms, great service and old location if your looking for tranquility
Cons: The restaurant is a bit ‘clinical’ and ‘your group like’ and the ‘spa’ I.e sauna, jacuzzis and steam room are not as good as they sound, a little worse for wear and a little dirty. But for the price it’s a good find!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Polite and accomodating staff, Beautiful villas And peaceful well kept Land scaping. Would definitely return to this location and recommend it for others. Staff very responsive to my Emails in advance of visit.
Cons: Had family of four and The villa definitely large enough for four people but hotel policy only allowed three. Would have been nice to share one villa with the entire family. We rented two adjacent villas which were both beautiful, but would’ve been nice to share and save money.

Treat yourself to tranquility at Novotel Inle Lake Myat Min hotel. Choose from an airy suite looking onto the resort's lush gardens, or a spacious villa right on the water. The infinity pool invites you to soak up the views, and the sunset on the lake provides an unforgettable backdrop to your holidays or meetings at Novotel.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Extremely comfortable. Beautifull and very very helpfull people. I would come back again for sure
Cons: Prices inside the hotel were exagerately expensive. Even more expensive than occidental hotels.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are spacious, gorgeous, and so comfortable. I especially enjoyed the HUGE bathtub. The staff are lovely and helpful. When I got food poisoning (from food outside the hotel), the staff took really good care of me and called a doctor for me. I enjoyed having room service delivered to my room. They have a great breakfast spread. I thought the menu prices for lunch and dinner were fair as well. The sunset view from the pool/restaurant is outstanding. I would definitely return!
Cons: Next time I would pay extra to get a room with the lake view rather than garden view.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely everything! We loved our stay here. The lake view from our double room was stunning. The staff helped us many times with the organizations of our travels. Food at the restaurant was great and if you are looking for a more authentic experience, there are many choices in near distance. Very comfortable beds and the large rooms are beautifully designed and spotless.
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: - Location on the lake - Private jetty - Excellent customer service - very attentive to detail - Beautiful room, with upgrade for our anniversary - Stunning infinity pool - Free bicycle rent - delicious and extensive breakfast
Cons: - Tours a little expensive (book at the jetty instead) - Dinner menu expensive and not perfect
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Novotel was my first hotel property I stayed at in Inle lake. A lot of tourists choose to live in nyaung shwe but I wanted to enjoy the beauty of the Lake. Novotel exceeded my expectations, we booked the deluxe king suite and had a great view of the mountain and lake right through our balcony.

A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and the beds and rooms are nice.
Cons: I must have been spoiled at the OB in Bagan so I expected the same here. The place is great but after 3 days of trekking and cold bucket showers I was hoping for a hot shower. From my experience there is no hot water at this location. Not a really big deal but I was only staying in Nyaung Shwe for one night and I would have booked a different hotel if I had known before hand.
7.9 Good
Pros: If you are travelling alone and looking to meet people this is a great place. Loads of activities every night and a nice rooftop.
Cons: I fell once from the top bunk when getting down the steps. I would appreciate some handles to facilitate safety for top bunkers.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff. Location is very good when you take jj bus or famous bus. Boat tours everyday which is good for solo traveller.
Cons: The boy organizing boat tour was very rude. I sitted in the boat but he told me to stand up. I asked why and he didn’t answer. Instead he asked a german that you want to sit here?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, clean room, perfect position to explore Inle Lake
5.8 Okay
Pros: Have a lot of your information display at the front desk and the staff always helpful/friendly.
Cons: The towel and room not per cleanliness expectation and the price for stay at high side. The breakfast very boring since we stay at bagan, Mandalay and inle patella was the same type. If this improved especially on the breakfast menu,it will be a big deal.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I love this hostel a lot. The unlimited coffe and tea, the staff of course. They gave me free beer because of my photos. I stayed here because of Ostello Bello in Bagan and Mandalay.
Cons: None. I really love this hostel. :)
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff Great organised activities Good vibes in the hostel Nice Rooftop
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good vibe. A very social hostel with a good location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: really enjoyed staying here , the staff are helpful and smile all the time . I guess the best thing I enjoyed is that we arrived early before the check in time and they allowed us to the rooftop to have a rest , you literally have a shelter and a bed to relax . I mean you can't change the bus arrival time but you guys make the better service here I really appreciated , thank you :)
7.7 Good
Pros: Good location. Nothing wrong with it.
Cons: The converted hotel took away from the feel and culture of f a good hostel. Structurally wasn't as conducive to socializing.. it just felt weird. They should remodel the lobby area.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: New clean rooms Great rooftop garden Nice chill out area downstairs Loads of amenities for free
Cons: Harsh, but the roof of the outside shoe rack is broken so if it rains any shoes there get soaked. Just don't leave shoes there

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very friendly and warmly welcomed us when we arrived at the Jetty. Leo and Catherine made sure our requests were timely delivered and late check-out request was also permitted. Spa was great and hotel facilities were excellent. A great place to stay after our trek.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location with direct access to Inle lake; very clean; superb swimming with view out towards the lake - all located within beautiful gardens filled with orchids and butterflies. This particular booking was to extend our stay for a further night.
Cons: Whilst the place was beautiful and we throughly enjoyed ourselves there, the extras such as food/drinks and excursions are not cheap (we would suggest very expensive for Myanmar) and there was little opportunity that we could see (due, admittedly to the wonderfully quiet location) of seeking out alternatives. But we felt that the positives outweighed this - hence the booking of an extra night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: we were upgraded to villas and the comfort was fantastic. Cherry, the manager was very helpful, professional, friendly, I would give her 5 out of 5. The location is superb, the service very good, would definitely recommend this hotel . Modern facilities, clean and comfortable
Cons: The food in the restaurant was nothing special to remember. Very primitive coffee machine for this type of the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was the most amazing stay we had in Myanmar. We were 2 couples and thanks to staff we got upgraded rooms. The environment is beautiful, the breakfast is delicious and the pool area is magical with the sunset view.
Cons: The english of the staff could be improved. The restaurant menu is a little bit expensive comparing to other places and there is no other place close. We walked towards the main city like 2km and had some local food in local bar.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: As it was low season, we were very happy to learn we had been upgraded to a villa which was incredible! The views from the balcony of the villa alone were fantastic (seeing sunrise and sunset here is spectacular), but from the swimming pool was even better as you can see the sun going down near the lake. The view is simply breathtaking. The facilities here are amazing and the staff organized an airport transfer to Nyang Shwe by boat which included a free stopover at the local monastery. Probably one of the best hotels/resorts we have ever stayed in!
Cons: The a la carte breakfast could have included more local dishes. Unfortunately, there were no Shan noodles or Mohinga etc.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We arrived at 7am and not only were we able to check-in (very!) early - we got upgraded to the villa! It was such a wonderful place to stay, we got front row views of the mountains and lake. The villa was very spacious and the coffee machine plus bathtub and shower were very welcome amenities. We pretty much had the hotel to ourselves and got good weather so used the pool every day. The breakfast was excellent, fresh fruit, bread, fresh yoghurt - no complaints! Staff were very helpful and friendly- they booked a taxi back to the town and let us use the room until 4pm that we left.
Cons: The restaurant could do with improving quality of the asian food on offer. The pasta dishes were very good.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location was wonderful, looking out onto the bank of Inla Lake. The grounds at Amata are beautiful, and the staff very helpful.
Cons: The hotel menu could have been a bit more varied; and everything at the hotel is expensive (western prices), which, because you are a captive audience, so to speak, means that the cost can add up as there is nowhere else to go in the near vicinity from what we could see.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in a villa. Big bedroom/livingroom. Nice and big bathroom with a shower and a bathtub. Nice and big balcony. Great view of the lake from the pool aerea. friendly and helpful staff!
Cons: breakfast from 6 - 9 am was a little bit early and short for us. there was a huge buffet, but we couldn't enjoy it really well. i know this is different for everybody, but I am not able to take a big breakfast so early in the morning during holiday. the food in the restaurant was nice. the prices are maybe moderate for this kind of standard, but a little bit high for myanmar.
7.1 Good
Pros: The surroundings were beautiful, with good caretaking of the property. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The resort was sslf-contained.
Cons: The property was remote and we could not walk to anywhere that we would like because of the remoteness of the property.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Truly clean and offered good services. Located at good position to enjoy South Inle lake and Kakku.
Cons: nothing

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excelent staff service and great breakfast!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Food was excellent. Vegeterian options tailored for vegans. Great breakfast. The staff were beyond amazing and accomadating.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful place with gorgeous breakfast (best pancakes ever!!)
Cons: You are forced to have dinner at the hotel, but the price are absolutely out of Myanmar average (you pay about 4x!!). It’s not recommended if you have light sleep because boats make big noise when they pass near the hotel, but it wasn’t a problem for us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The helpfulness of the staff. Clean room
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The bungalows are very cute and you feel comfortable in them. The staff is super nice and make everything to help you. Good breakfast.
Cons: The location is a bit fare, so you need to stay there for dinner. The hotel is not expensive, but the extra (laundry, restaurant and beers) are more expensive than what you could find outside. It is on a thin part of the lake, so it is a bit noisy with all the boats passing by. Other than that, it was perfect.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff arranges a lot for you :)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location is idyllic. Very friendly staff
Cons: There is some noise from the boats who pass
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff of Paramout Inle Resort took care of us like a family. They found out a boat for a tour that was available immediately after our arrival. We arranged all this via the messaging system of booking.com and the replies of the hotel came very promptly. The manager helped us book flight back to Yangon, find a delicious restaurant for our meal on our last day, and choose artisanal shops to buy gifts at reasonable prices. We couldn't have chosen a better place to spend our time at the Inle Lake. Please note that the property is on the lake. Boats passing by can be quite noisy, but the proparty has prepared with earplugs in each room. You should be also aware that once it gets dark, you will most likely keep to the property, so if you prefer moving around, you should better choose a location not on the lake :). All in all, a very romantic and beautiful hotel.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Clean, beautiful view to the lake, very good service, nice food

Pros: Staff, acomodation and breakfast.
Cons: It was perfect. Staff is amazing

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location very close to everything, super kindly staff, free bikes provided, great breakfast cooked at the moment. Big and comfortable rooms; bathrooms have both shower and bathtub
Cons: Some noise in the room due to the close street and some humidity due to the internal bathroom with no windows. However, with AC and open windows it's been fixed
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Really nice location and kind staff, good breakfast
Cons: Lot of Moskitos around and some in the room Poor WiFi only works at reception
9.2 Excellent
Pros: + very good breakfast with a choice between noddle, eggs, pancake and toast. You can have all or just some things + nice clean rooms, unfortunately with a lot of mosquitos (but this is not only the problem of this hotel) - bring a mosquito net! + huge bathroom with a tub and nice hot water + good location surrounded by many restaurants + free good bicycles + very kind and helpful staff - in our last day we took a night bus and were allowed to stay in our room until the pick up arrived - without charge! + staff got me medicine for my cough and really cared about us, only during breakfast it was a little to much for us - up to 4 waitress stand next to you waiting for your order
Cons: - hotel owner gives a lot of helpful information but unfortunately he could not book a bus or boot for you, just information
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff. All facilities worked. Breakfast good
Cons: Location right on main road...However not a problem as such as the road was being resurfaced which meant no traffic noise. Access with my motorbike was a bit restricted though.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice host. Exstreamely helpfull. Good location right on Main St, but no noise. Will recommend.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Man in charge is amazing, so kind and helpful. He organised the boat trip on inle lake for us. Place is clean, nice and staff are friendly
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Located in the heart of town. Little heaven. Nice and quite. Easy to find. Safe to walk around. Reception staff speaks good English and is very helpful in arranging for quality day tours. Rooms are very nicely designed. The property is very nice and very well maintained. If we will ever come back to this area, no doubt we will use this hotel again.
Cons: Nothing to dislike
9.4 Excellent
Pros: The shower was incredible. The rooms are lovely. The staff and individualized attention are wonderful.
Cons: The hotel is a little far from the boat landing, so that means a 10 minute walk instead of 5! It's not really a negative because it seems to be in the quieter end of the street. And it is steps away from a spa and The Owl Grill restaurants.

Pros: Staff are amazing, welcoming and caring. The bed is spacious and super comfortable. Spacious room, shower with hot water all the time.
Cons: Curtains are only semi opaque, so room gets litten on sunrise. Breakfast took place in the nearby 81 central hotel (not a very big deal 30 secs walking). Shower head is fixed.
7.5 Good
Pros: The hostel is clean and kind. The location of the hotel is good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were lovely and helpful. Confirmed our bus and helped us book a lake tour. Breakfast was tasty, buffet style with Asian and western options. Beds were comfy, shower was a good temp and pressure. Lots of space. Good amount of food and such in our area. We finished our trek here and it was luxurious afterwards to stay here. There is 81 hotel inlay and 81 Central hotel located 1 minute walk from each other, same company but the Central is the newer one. We stayed at Central. They also let us have a shower before getting on the bus at night, nice touch.
Cons: Not the hotels fault but there were pigeons nesting above our room (5th floor) that were quite noisy early morning, during the day till around 7pm. If you like to sleep in, don't stay on that floor.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: good location nice staff there is not internet at all
Cons: supply internet, or indicate to inform this problem

Pros: Being able to store luggage and free shower facilities after checking out. Great friendly staff.
Cons: Nothing bad to say.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location in walking distance to the boat pier, night market and old town. Good breakfast, helpful staff
Cons: very weak or non existent WiFi signal in the room, had to go down to reception to use. Breakfast was taken in an ajoining hotel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazingly friendly staff. They checked us in 9 hours before the official check-in time, i.e. around 5am (yes, we all love Myanmar's overnight buses :-P) with no extra fee. Always smiling and polite. Awesome huge breakfast - personally I think it's even too big, since I was never able to make it, eating maybe 1/4 of the food served - I guess they must be wasting lots of food..
Cons: maybe too much mosquitoes in the area but it's not the hotel's fault, obviously.
7.1 Good
Pros: Good location for the Jetty for boat trips. Also for trekking, we walked straight out of town from hotel to begin our trek. They accommodated is for an extra couple of nights at short notice and the communication was good. Staff were helpful.
Cons: Breakfast was cold, there were no burners or even candles under the containers for warm items. This made breakfast quite unappealing, however the freshly cooked eggs were nice.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Good location. It’s near the good restaurants and about 5 min walking distance from night market. Comfortable bed. The bedroom and bathroom are clean, spacious and bright. It’s really good that most of the things in the hotel are not disposable plastic. The staffs at front desk are really kind and helpful. They arranged me the boat trip to the Inle Lake with the very patient driver. (I forgot that driver name.) They even offered a shared boat trip because I’m the only one. But I decided to take the whole boat. They provided a free map of Nyaung Shwe and Inle Lake and guided me to go around the area. The restaurants and bars they recommended to me are really nice and delicious. (All are within 5-10 min walking distance from hotel.) Breakfast is rich and delicious with local food. The pool area looks nice even though I didn’t have time to use it.
Cons: WiFi didn’t work in my room (206). Maybe it’s the furthest from the reception. The door lock of my room doesn’t work properly. I couldn’t unlock the door from inside 4 or 5 times during my stay so I had to call the receptionist to open it. Thanks god she picked up the phone every time and always available to do it.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable beds, spacious rooms with curtains to give privacy. They make your bed daily and provide clean towels every day. Nice size swimming pool. Quiet area. Good wifi and nice breakfast. You feel like in a hotel in a budget price. Amazing staff.
Cons: Nothing at all
9.6 Excellent
Pros: good breakfast, nice pool which I could use after check-out very big room with seperate bathrooms (3)
Cons: everything was great
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is at the southern end of Nyaungshwe however, it is only 650m away from the main street with some great restaurants even closer.. Lovely quite area.. Arrived slightly early so room wasn't ready however, after handing me with a complimentary fruit juice I was then offered a complimentary mountain bike for a few hours.. When checking in, although I had requested an upper floor, I was initially shown to a ground floor room.. When I pointed out my original floor request the ground floor room was immediately changed to an upper floor room without any fuss.. I was also not pestered to pay straight away which was nice.. I stayed in a Superior Double room, upper floor.. A genuinely huge room, very modern, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean.. Fresh toiletries every day, even had a complimentary plate of fruit one day.. The buffet breakfast was fantastic with a excellent selection of Western & Asian foods, juices & hot drinks.. Although I did not have time to use it, the small pool area looked lovely.. Throughout my stay all the staff were very friendly & very helpful.. Even waved me off when my taxi left.. The price I paid for 4 nights seemed ridiculously inexpensive for a hotel of this quality.. Tip: Last couple of hundred meters back to the hotel is unlit at night so if you are nervous of the dark, take a torch !!
Cons: Harsh to "I didn't like" but if I was really being picky then the WiFi could be a little hit & miss in the room (I was at the far end of the hotel) as was the shower with respect to both hot water & flow.. It was great at 05:30 though !! :)
6.7 Good
Pros: Staff was great and a pool in the hotel area was a plus. Breakfast was decent buffet style. WiFi worked well and the rooms were big. AC worked also very well and the location of the accommodation is good.
Cons: We discovered bed bugs in our room (#205)!! Clearly the bed bugs epidemic is just about to burst since there were not a lot of them and also the previous reviews didn't mention anything of them expect for one. Be aware of this problem when making a booking!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff super helpful and lovely. The dorm room is a big bonus for solo travellers. Very comfortable and spacious with access to the pool, lobby area and a great breakfast. Staff noticed it was my birthday & made my day extra special with flowers and a gift!
Cons: The bikes they have for hire are in very poor condition. Plenty of other options to hire nearby.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Extra large room.
Cons: Pool could be cleaner.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: staff is very kind and helpful. you can arrange trip to inle lake by boat here. they gave us keys in early morning after traveling night bus, it was very helpful we could stay here earlier. breakfast was really delicious and big.
Cons: nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We arrived early in the morning but the room was ready and staff allowed us to enter early. We also received a generous late check out. The room was clean, spacious, good AC
Cons: The hotel is affected by government rules that affect every hotel in the area- electricity is shut down at set times. The hotel did their best to accommodate us. Nothing that they could have done more!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Any way people were very nice and very friendly, smiling all the time, and they were were present whenever I needed them. The place is very nice, beds are confortable, bathroom very clean, the surprise of their nice swimming pool was amazing! Breakfast was also amazing. You also have the possibility to rent bikes, and it's well situated in a quite area, with a common space where you can sit and read.. I arrived soon before the check in time (i arrived at 4am) and they let me directly take a bed, put my staf and relax.. Thank you for this welcome!
Cons: Sometimes a bit complicated to get informations from the staff because of the English.. I wanted to have informations for treks and I didn't really get answer.. I was expecting from a youthhostel to be informed by activities in its own city... (but just because a problem of English, as In a lot of places in Myanmar.. So let's do with it ;))

Pros: The hotel is in a good location in town, walking distance to nice restaurants. We particularly enjoyed the air con and the balcony that the room offered. There was a nice view from the balcony and the roof terrace. The breakfast was nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome.
6.7 Good
Pros: the breakfast
Cons: no
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. the stay was smooth and started already with the check-in and remaind as such till the check-out. the room was very clean and the duvet covers were clean as well, which was not the case in many of the hotels in Myanmar. I really enjoyed the balcony :-) all the trips I wanted to go on were well organized by the hotel staff. I got food poisoning on my last day and was asked, if I need medicaiton by the hotel staff, who also told the taxi driver who took me to the airport, to drive slower and careful to not worsen my condition - so thank you once again, I really appreciate that and everything else you have done. you really went the extra mile.
Cons: if you come to early or late for breakfast you do not get freshly brewed coffe, but instant coffe instead. there is generally no milk, but milk powder - but thats whining over small matters
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location, in the main street of the town, where you find shops, restaurant and a market. Staff very kind and helpful, they helped me to organize the day tour in the Inle Lake and bus to my next city
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was big and very comfortable. We arrived at 03:30 a.m. and received a room immediately, althought check-in time was much later. Location is perfect. Breakfast was very good, but it would be nice is there was a vegetarian option for the noodle soup.
Cons: We had something suspicious happen at the hotel. Although we did not request this, the hotel staff cleaned up our room and something went missing. We can never be sure of what happened or if anything happened at all, but we asked the hotel manager to look into it. He assured us that the staff was not responsible for the missing item, provided his support and even gave us a local wine at check-out to sweeten our experience. Apart from this, the shower was cold, but to be fair we did not complain to the hotel staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was huge The bathroom was big The bed really comfortable Even had a balcony The staff were super friendly and very helpful
Cons: Nothing
7.1 Good
Pros: Staff are friendly to give us many useful information about sightseeing in Inle Lake area. Room is quite big and cozy.
Cons: Electricity supply is inconsistent during daytime. I think it's the problem of whole area not hotel itself.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff were especially helpful and friendly.
Cons: The chairs in the rooms were not so comfortable. Also, the tables in the dinning room were difficult to use with their lower structure construction, which made it difficult to get one's feet under the table.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very kind staff. Great location near the pier where you can take the boat to the tours in Inle Lake.
Cons: Nothing

Cons: - whilst being near the river has a nice view, it was extremely noisy from 5am because of the constant old boat engines going past. We were originally in a room facing the river but had to change rooms to be on the other side of the building. They were happy to do this though with no hassle (and less sound) - We had booked for a standard double room but when we got there were told there were only standard twin rooms as the double was gone. For the whole time we were there we only saw about 2 other people yet we had to stay in a twin. (Deluxe option may have been available but not offered) - The rooftop service was very slow. We went up there every day for breakfast and drinks, never saw anyone else there, but still they seemed unorganised and unprepared for any sort business. (Which brings it back to why we had to stay in a twin room although no one was there - Were initially going to charge us half day for 3 hours later check-out, even though we reiterate it was practically empty. They did eventually allow us to stay until our flight though free of charge.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: I even didn't see 1 insect in dining room, only this hotel sucessfully to do so after I stayed in 4 hotels. I can feel the warmth and careness from the hotel staff, they are so thoughtful.
Cons: The lake view room is still a little far away from the lake.
7.9 Good
Pros: The location, the pool, the rooms and the service are very good & nice.
Cons: BUT everything is charged extra and massively overpriced. It seems, as if they constantly try to fool their customers. In the end we felt ripped off. First of all they let you pay your stay at arrival and they use their own exchange rate in kyat, so that in the end we payed 7% more than the price from booking. They mark all the prices in usd and in the end they make a very suspicous conversion. For a bike rental they charge you 10 usd for a day (in other places we payed 6 usd for a motorbike the whole day). The bike is in very bad condition, it is a kids size and the breaks don‘t work. If you need a taxi from the hotel to the main town they charge you 20 usd for one way. If you walk about 500m outside the hotel, you can get a taxi for 10 usd. For airport transfer they charge about 60 usd, we got a normal taxi for about 26 usd. The food is medicore and to expensive for what you get. It‘s so sad we had to leave this beautiful place with such a bad feeling of beeing scamed.

Pros: Villa Inle was amazing. We booked a lakeside room and it was MASSIVE, beautifully appointed and very romantic. The room came with loads of stuff - including a free mini bar with alcohol etc. The breakfast in our room each morning was a lovely touch as well. This hotel may be a short distance from the town but the staff make it easy to get there and are very helpful when it comes to booking any activities/travel. The gardens/pool are beautifully kept. This hotel is seriously romantic and picturesque.
Cons: The meal in the restaurant was much more expensive than outside food - would recommend getting a taxi into town and eating there!

Pros: What an amazing resort, so luxurious and amazing customer service. The villa we stayed in had fantastic views, the pool was lovely, the massage i has was one of the best ever. It was out of season so at one point we seemed to be the only guests so were really pampered! Peaceful, relaxing and surrounded by nature, just how we wanted to end our holiday.

Pros: The villas are awesome and the views mind blowing. The staff is very nice and helpful
