Good location, directly in the old town. Very friendly staff
The reception staff was excellent. The breakfast was very nice. Room was lovely with a little balcony and wonderful view over the city. Location was perfect. The internet access was not working. Parking was o.k., but a little weird as the cars were in layers on a lift system.
good location, excellent breakfast
Great place to stay inside the old city of Nuremberg. Short walk to town center. Hotel is lovely, room spacious, staff friendly and very accommodating. Included breakfast is outstanding.
Very convenient to the sites. Reasonably priced. he hotel was clean and the room was spacious.
Great location for tourists, helpful staff Difficult to find for tourists, difficult access.
Great location inside city walls, relatively easy to access
The friendliness of the hotel staff, the tranquility and the excellent breakfast. Nothing...
Excellent location and very comfortable public areas, excellent breakfasts and extremely helpful staff.
The Hotel was comfortable and conveniently situated. The room was clean and comfortable and the reception staff particularly pleasant and helpful. A big plus was having internet access in the lobby as well as a free 60 min access free daily. There were 32TV channels listed on the room directory, with No. 32 assigned to English speaking CNN. However, when I tried to view this it was also in German and Reception advised there were now no English Channels available. For English speaking visitors there needs to be at least 1 TV channel otherwise the evenings can be quite lonely if (like me) you are an elderly female widow travelling alone.
Location. Breakfast buffet.
Good all round and value for money.
Super servis, kind people and nice rooms
Bright, clean room, great breakfast, perfect location on the edge of the pedestrian zone. But don't use your gps -- be sure to follow the hotel's directions or you'll never be able to drive to it! When they say they have parking garage available, they mean only for sub- compact and sports cars -- our sedan wouldn't fit, and they only have room to park 2 "big" cars. Also, the rooms are stuffy (no air-flow, even in April, summer might be too hot for comfort), and have no shades and so are very bright all night.
Thebreakfasts were excellent as were the staff in the dining room. The room was compact but had everything you need for a few nights stay. The shower was a bit awkward and the there wasn't enough shelf space in the bathroom for toiletries, etc.
Location to Old Town. Nice warm rooms in winter, excellent breakfast and service. Noisy. Could hear talking & laghing in wee hours, then again during early morning deliveries.
Good location, within walking distance to most sights in the Old City. A little difficult to find at night, but was well marked when looking during daylight.
Good location for Christmas markets. Up to date but still traditional. Would like tea and coffee facilities in the room.
great location, extremely clean, helpful staff.
EXCELLENT staff, great location good breakfast parking is only available for smaller cars
Service was great, People were very nice and helpfull.Very clean!!!Loved the location!!!!!! No.
Price! Nothing really.
Location within walking distance to everything, bigger room than a lot of other German hotels that I have stayed in, mini bar was cheap Carpet was stained and dirty, no air conditioning so the windows remained open meaning I could hear noise from nearby bars. Small selection for the breakfast buffet
Locality Room downstairs
convenient, also no problem with letting us get into the room early
I liked the location of the hotel.
Friendly and professionally skillful personnel. Good location in the center of city center !
Location and very warm hospitality of the personal Steps. Mrs. Ines knows this and promised to improve.
Charmingly quaint but beautiful looking hotel close to Old Town, the wonderful Café Lucas, a Starbucks, and the Metro. Friendly staff. My (single) room was very nice and the breakfast pretty good. Tremendous value for the money. The Hotel Am Josephsplatz is now my top choice for my next trip to Nürnberg.
A lovely hotel within easy walking distance of all the sights and attractions of Nuernberg. Comfortable and clean, good food and facilities, friendly staff. Recommended!
good breakfast, clean rooms, central, unexpectedly close to some nice bars
location no air conditioning
Friendly and helpful staff free wifi excellent breakfast plentiful hot hot water + great shower Room rather small
Central Location Rather noisy on the Saturday night we stayed there
Everything was fine, with special mentions for breakfast, atmosphere and comfort.
The excellence of the room and the central positionof the hotel
Breakfast and freindly staff The standard of rooms varies enormously for the same price paid. There are light spacious rooms and small, dark, airless rooms and no way of determining which you will be allocated. So we would warn travellers intending to stay at this hotel that they should check what they are buying. You pay the same rate regardless of the room.
We had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The location is perfect for the Christmas market, and the breakfast had plenty of options. We stayed in the large apartment which had plenty of space for 5 people, but had no common sitting room. The hotel is non-smoking but our room smelled of old, stale smoke. The pillows are very thin, we asked for a few more and were told there were none available.
It was in an excellent, central location and very easy to find.
The presence of bathrobe in addition to standard towels
lots of character, it's cosy! my companion felt the lighting in the rooms were too dull to read by, we would have liked the price to have been a little higher and include breakfast, we would have preferred to have a kettle in the room to make tea in the morning.
Location and the breakfast were good. The decoration is kitsch and it made me smile, because it was strange combination of bad taste. Everything is old and bad looking, especially in the pool area. Television was 13 inc. There was so litlle light in the room, that it was impossible to read an magazine. Overpriced 1 star hotel.
The hotel was great. Very reasonable price for such a nice hotel in such a nice setting in the old town. The buffet was among the best we had on our trip and the swimming pool was very nice. The staff was very helpful and next door is a wonderful old cellar restuarant which is not to be missed. The only complaint is that the directions to the hotel are difficult to follow. We arrived at night and it took us over an hour to find it, even the police couldn't help us. The only easy entrance is through a tiny street through the city wall, which is hard to find if you dont know exactly where to look for it. My advice is to give the hotel a call if you havent found it within a few minutes so they can give you the correct address, and to make things worse there is another burg hotel in town. Dont let this keep you from booking this hotel though it is really special!
Very pleasant staff and good location. Could do with double glazing as quite a lot of street nosie but with ear plugs no problem. Location and staff.
the pool. that was the reason why we stayed there since we had read that most hotels in the area do not have air conditioning and it was very hot. some of the things need updating - like the curtains and bathrooms
Very good breakfast Furniture and decoration is old/worn
A very nice hotel right in the heart of the Old City of Nuerenburg. It was quiet. The breakfast was splendid.
Very good location, inside the Old Town. We liked breakfest very much - for 8 euros there were fruits, good choice of muesli etc.
It was in very good location, one minutes to the Christmass Markt, and also next to a car park. We also liked the cleanliness of the room.
nice location for tourists.
Very good and close to everything. Good price and good services. Recommended for a nice romantic weekend in Nuremberg
Location, Breakfast Insufficient amount of soap
Very convenient to access to the marktplatz. It is just a few minutes walk from the hotel. Breakfast was also nice.
The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to ensure that we had a very pleasant stay. The location was wonderful. The hotel was just a few minute walk from the Christmas Market. There was nothing that we did not like about the hotel.
Staff was wondeful and provided good hints for what to see while in the city. The hotel was very close to the Christmas Markets (about a block away) so if you are visiting during the holiday season, the hotel was a great location.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to help us get a suitcase back that we left on the train. They also made us feel very welcome from the first moment we arrived with a freshly squeezed orange juice, and a fresh bowl of strawberries in the room. Lots of little touches that you dont find often.
Everything. Very friendly and helpful staff. Could switch to brunch as breakfast was too early for us.
Excellant location, restaurants, sites etc. Yet room was still quiet. We needed to do some laundry, and requested some help from the staff in locating a Laundry mat...they offered to do it for us, since we had a small amount.(unofficial of course) This was a great help.. Staff was young and hard working. Will return. It was unseasonably hot for the time of our visit, we had a fan, but it did not make it, plus our room window opened into an area near the kitchen or something that smelled like the kitchen. Hot and smell don't mix well. We thought we got the room because of the price and did not speak to the staff. We are from Florida, and are spoiled by A/C. Just don't take room #1 if offered. We would return to Hotel Elch, otherwise.
Fantastic location, comfortable room with balcony.
Absolutely perfect location in Historic Nuremberg. We walked everywhere. The location was great and the morning breakfast was fabulous, we loved the staff too.
Very convienent for enjoying Nuremburg's old city. Friendly helpfull staff.
Location within old city is great. A short distance inside the city wall, and easy walking distance to the heart of Nurnberg. A good breakfast in a rustic setting, helpful staff, speaks good english. An unpleasant odor coming thru opened window on backside, but once closed-problem solved.
Well located, the historic character of the hotel was uniqure; we had a most comfortable and spacious room (another room that we saw was rather less attractive) and the breakfasts were very good, including excellent bread and also warm food. There were very good restaurants nearby where we took our evening meals. Although we originally booked for four nights, we had to arrive one day later than planned, but the hotel was very cooperative in advance in reducing the booking to three nights.
Clean, reasonable priced, friendly, and location.
Our bedroom was excellent , spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The location was perfect. breakfast was chaotic, tables not cleared and only one member of staff who was paying attention.
The staff was friendly, the location was excellent, and the room could not have been better.
Just a couple of minutes to walk to the old city.
Location is excellent Room was very low grade, extra bed was uncomfortable and it was also broken, no aircondition
Best of all, was the breakfast. It was great! We had to walk UP the hill to get back from downtown at night.
Breakfast, price. Wireless internet didn't work, lack of staff to fix it
Central Location No
Nice hotel in very good location, friendly and clean. Some renovation in bathroom would make the hotel experience much better.
The cleanliness was first class. The carpets in the lift and in the entrance to the hotel were a little shabby.
The master is kindly. The first reception I met is a little bit impatient to Asians.
Location was excellent for our visit to the Christmas Market. The offerings at breakfast were very good. It was convenient having a shuttle to take us to the bahnhof the day of our departure. There was very little space to move around within the room. Personally, we prefer mattresses that are more firm. The pillows had a lot of "poof", but not much support for the head and/or neck.
All staff very friendly. Was a refreshing change from large, impersonal hotels. Bathroom very compact (but servicable)
At the edge of the old city, the location couldn't be better. The receptionist were very nice & even though the check in is only until 9pm, they made sure that when we came at 10pm, we will have everything we need waiting for us. The rooms are big & well heated. The bathroom was not dirty but it could be cleaner; the smell was a bit moldy & the bathroom was very small. No elevators for some of the rooms. No parking on the street & the hotel parking is 3 minutes walk away. Breakfast is not included. I would still recommend this hotel because they are minor problems.
Great location and low budget.
Central location was great. Room was basic but comfortable. Good service at the desk and nice breakfast. Chocolate bar on pillows was a nice touch. Shower was poor with broken stand and the hem of the shower was mouldy,
Location in the pedestrian area made for a quiet stay
The Lorenz Hotel is close to the main shopping area and to public transport (U-bahn, S-bahn, trams and buses. Breakfas was good in choice and quality. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms are a little small
Everything looked proper and clean and the hotel i situated right in the heart of the citycentre The (1-bed) room was really very, very little
