If I had received the rooms I paid for
The location of it is unbeatable
The cleanliness of it there were hairs in The sink when checking room dust balls etc
The decor was up to date and the hotel was located right by Times Square.
The lights buzzed, one of the blinds wouldn’t open all the way, and none of the mirrors were in a good position for you to actually see yourself from a distance.
I had to ask for a rollaway bed 4 times and then I was told they no longer had any so we were out of luck. I then asked for extra pillows and blankets and was told I needed to come down myself to get it. I went downstairs to get it and waited about 15mins for them to bring it to the front and was told if I wanted brought up I needed to request it before 10pm as if it had been my fault I needed the extra blankets
Can't adjust the room temperature. Room was very noisy.
Never were told about additional charges. Also very load from near by building
Excellent location, clean rooms
The hotel is clean and comfortable, pleasant, friendly staff. The location is excellent, across the street from Walter Kerr Theater and a block from Times Square.
My one and only complaint is the street noise. I was on the 4th floor and it was hard to sleep because of the noise. I would definitely stay at the Gallivant again, but I’d bring my ear plugs
Bathroom was too small.
Small room; Given a twin bed for couple. No room for negotiation.
I loved the location of this hotel and it was a really nice place to stay in. I was able to walk to all the tourist attractions and get there from JFK by subway real easily. The rooms were clean and there was even a restaurant/bar right next to the hotel.
The rooms were a little small but definitely not an issue. Very comfortable for a space in NY. I can't imagine getting a better deal than what we got for location and quality.
Non accommodating staff, crowded rooms and restroom.
Not to bad
It was close to a lot of things to do in Time Square! Easy walking distance to the metro and other sight seeing attractions.
They didn't change the bed sheet. All they did was keep turning it inside out and the back again. They only service the bathrooms as far as we could tell. They might have changed the bed covers, but couldn't tell on that part. Shower head had a leak and was spraying water in the ceiling as you took a shower and the water didn't drain very good and it would crate a small pool of soap and water at your feet.
