We had a room on the 16th floor and at 7:30am on our first morning there was construction on the outside of the building. Your staff moved all our stuff to a new room so we didn't have to deal with it. The security staff got my son a pack of batteries for a toy late one evening for free!!
Garbage smell outside. Not the hotels fault but it was off putting.
Friedman’s restaurant. Employees were rude and condescending - we walked out.
Location was perfect, and the beds were comfortable.
Staff was very rude, and short when simple questions were asked. You had to go all the way to the front desk, because simple questions were not answered. Staff was the worst part of the experience.
Great location, comfortable beds, security going up to the floors, Rum Bar on premises
Ro not ready until after 4. We checked in early and they were to text us when it was ready, but never did. We had to wait in line again. Also, didn’t like they charge to keep your bags
Location is obviously a bit busier then the other ones, but it is a great point to start your day as almost everything is close. The staff was friendly and rooms were cleaned and prepared very nicely every day. Hotel facilities for eating were also nice, but if you chose not to use them, there is a nice diner for breakfast just at the corner of the street and many others nearby. It's worth exploring.
Ask for a room on higher floor to avoid noise from the street. It would be nice to have a kettle in the room to prepare the morning tea. Minibar was also missing, although complimentary bottles of water were provided each day.
Hotel Edison is a beautiful, modern hotel situated right in the heart of downtown New York City. Visitors to the Big Apple will relish this top-end art deco hotel as it is within walking distance of Broadway and Times Square. Of course, there is a lot more to see near the hotel then just Times Square. Visitors can go and explore the International Center of Photography, The Museum of Modern Art, Morgan Library and Museum, American Folk Art Museum, and much more.
Within the hotel, guests have a few different dining options to explore. The Rum House is an upscale urban cocktail lounge with the menu of a casual tiki bar. While thirsty guests can try just about any drink, the specialty here is decidedly on rum cocktails and rare rums for sampling. Bond 45 is an upscale Italian restaurant that spans two different floors. Finally, there is Friedman's a health-forward eatery that specializes in incredible gluten-free dishes.
The Edison has three different room types: Classic, Signature, and Suite. The Suites are the largest of the rooms with the most amenities as well. These amenities include high-speed Wi-Fi, complimentary newspapers, Keurig coffee makers, Frette linens, C.O. Bigelow bath amenities, mini fridge, and a crisp 42" LCD flat screen HDTV. All of the rooms can be reserved in either one or two-bed configurations depending on how many guests will be there for the duration of the stay.
