The hotel was very good. Staff were accommodating and attentive. Everything one needs for a very nice stay.
the area is calm and beautiful on one hand but not that far from citiy center on the other. the view over the park is very very nice!
Our rooms were comfortable, food was excellent, sauna was interesting experience but best thing was the staff. It was great!
Overall impression was good, but the staff was really on a high level. For such a hotel the gym is really poor.
Excellent breakfast, very good service at check-in, very peaceful location but pleasant walk to city centre through the English Gardens.
Quite, clean and good location Very high extra charge for not included services like parking, Wifi and breakfast. Elevators very slow.
I like everything except parking too expensive very nice hotel No budy pickup the bag's to room you have to do it by your self , In general the hotel very good and the staff also I suggest keep someone take the bag's to the room and thanks so much
Missing Airport courtsy collection & Courtsy transport to Mauma Fair.
Decent size, clean and well appointed rooms. A little out from the city centre but only a 10 euro taxi ride to Marien Platz. Would've been nice to have a couple of restaurants and cafes close by as the hotel food and drinks were quite expensive.
nice location no
My friends and I were given rooms in a separate building with no lift. Nobody could help us carrying the luggage to the second floor. Rooms and bathrooms were very small. The design is very nice but comfort does not correspond to a four stars hotel.
Location, relaxed atmosphere, breakfast tiny room
Too much of a business hotel. Noone to help with bags to second floor and there was no elevator.
Staff was very helpfull and friendly. The hotel is good located, only a 3-minutes walk from next underground-station. The room was pretty small, but modernly furnished and renovated. There's only one elevator in the whole hotel, what made people queue. Although breakfast was good it wasn't as rich as in other 4* hotels I stayed in Munich. Covered parking was an adventure in itself, although we drove a cabrio parking space was really small (don't try it with a jeep!).
Staff very helpfull. Room and bathroom very crampt for this category of holel. To reach some of the rooms you have to get outside of the mai building, and carry your suitcases through the stairs. During the night there was an annoing buzzing sound of some hotel machinery.
Great breakfast. Free use of gym was a nice touch along with the complimentary mini bar in the superior room. Good transport links. The staff were excellent, really went of their way for us, even letting us check in 3 hours early. A special mention should be made for Sebastian, who helped me sort out gig tickets for the 10 of us while there. A few of the lads found the glass bathrooms challenging to their English mentality. Personally a softer toilet roll would have been nice but overall it's hard to fault the place.
Wireless access free room too small
Fantastic location. Modern hotel with a great breakfast. Parking is a pain, but everything else excellent the parking was not easy to find, and the shower and bathroom was very small.
Great room & hotel. Like most European hotels, the bathroom was small.
The restaurant was good, with good food and good staff, who on the whole were happy to speak (very good) English. We had to change rooms twice upon arrival, as the toilets in the first two rooms had glass doors - although they were slightly frosted, there was no privacy at all.
We was a group of 6 men from Norway. We like the breakfast and the spa section inclusive the training room. We also like that the hotel near Allianz Arena. Most of all we like the very friendly stafff :-) Nothing!

My only comment about the facility is the parking. There is no parking provided by the hotel so we had to park our car in different garage and pay every time we park our car. It was costly.
The location was nice and quite for Munich. Great that it was so close to the English garden. The Champions bar was a great place to hang out. Inner city cannot be reached by foot.
swimming pool, "relaxation center" :-) internet should be for free! (wi-fi)
the quitness, the location - easy to access by car and easy to get to any location in the city watcing the public TV programs must be gratis
Perfect location to enjoy October fest
The hotel was 1st class from the front door to the rooms. The staff was very helpful and polite. The rooms were bigger than I expected. The beds were so comfortable that we didn't want to get out of them. The spa was incredible and the indoor pool was a hit with my children, as they had a drink bar in the pool area. Very upscale hotel. We got lost on our way to the hotel. It was late and we turned the wrong way from the metro and walked several blocks out of our way. It was 11:00 pm, the area was dark but we didn't have any problems. If you stay here...get off the metro and do a u turn to your left. Walk the courtyard between the buildings. You should be two blocks away. Enjoy!
Hotel was situated in a quiet neighborhood, ideal for family reservations. Breakfast was good with variety to choose from. The staff were very friendly and dealing with them was pleasant. The room was old which was obvious. I did not like the fact that all bathrooms had a sliding door which couldn't be locked. There was no extra bed available by the time of check-in since the hotel was fully booked but a mattress did the trick.
We only stayed one night but loved it here! Our room was beautiful (perhaps newly renovated?) and very clean. Our dinner in the hotel restaurant was delicious and the service was wonderful.
Comfort of the room.Different possibiliy to have soft drinks. I receive wrong information from the reception (how to reach a place) and I loose 3 hours
Breakfast, cleanliness, very quiet No free wi-fi in room. Parking was expensive. Free parking on street was very difficult to find.
i like the bad the hotel didnt gave me what was riten in my order in the internet. i make the order for this hotel because the mini bar and the tea/ coffee maker. what the hotel gave me are only bad and tv. the hotel made for me only 20 euro disscount per one night, n and after i was very angry even till now.
the hotel is very nice and clean also the staff are very nice and helpfull and they speak multi langueg the room are so nice. ther was no conacting rooms wich made the family stay littl problem with littl chldren.
Comfortable room, restaurant, parking, close to moc fairground Price is quite high since breakfast and parking are not included
helpful staff not much choice for the restaurant nearby
Car parking facility and supermarket next to it
comfortable bed expensive internet
The food was amazing so heads up for the head chef. I rung to confirm the booking and got transferred from department to department and ending up speaking to the head chef who was so helpful to me and he was the only one so he should be credited.
Staff are friendly and breakfast is great.
Nice, spacious and modern designed room (suit). Good and health breakfast choices. Lake of alternative restaurant. Paid internet and parking.
This is a nice hotel in a quiet area outside of the center of Munich. The location is a bit inaccessible if you plan to spend a lot of time in central Munich or stay out very late. While the neighborhood around the hotel is not unsafe, it does take a while to get there on the public transportation. There was no air conditioning or other air circulation, so the room was very stale unless the window was open. Unfortunately, the cafe on the corner opens early and our room was soon filled with cigarette smoke from the customers around 7am.
The owners give you a very personalised experience. The hotel is brand new, decorated in a modern, yet traditional style and is located in a nice neighbourhood with good restaurants and shops. Breakfast is served and is wonderful. Pastries are bought fresh each morning from a bakery within the neighborhood.
Very good location to explore Munich. Excellent breakfast and very child-friendly staff. Size of the room is not overwhelming: we had a junior suite which was quiet fine but more a normal double room with a small (but nicely equipped) bathroom.
The location was great, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and comfortable. The room wasn't cleaned on the Sunday although I did leave around 2.30 pm..
Location is great.5 min to underground and from there easy come to alianz arena and olipmpia halle also marian platz all with this underground line. was all 3 days problem with internet and was acses only on lobby also this was not solved even I ask them 2-3 times.
It was a small hotel in a quiet location just outside of Munich city centre with municipal parking opposite in a tree lined square. The hotel was beautifully appointed, with room rates perhaps a little high but well worth it. The entrance was tucked around the side of the hotel building which we found only by walking Nikolai Road. The road we also found on foot and realised that we had already driven past it earlier.
It is really the best hotel which I ever seen. The room is very comfortable. Breakfast is excellent. We were late for the breakfast (around 11 a.m.) and were separately served without any problems. Very helpful staff. I highly recommend this hotel!
The hotel staff are quite helpful
Staff!! amazing people!! Great hotel for a great value. Nothing! Its a great place to stay when visiting Munich
Gem of a hotel in vibrant Schwabing, a district abuzz with restaurants, shops, cinema, clubs, locals, and students. The proprietors, Hannes and Renate Schlemmer, and their superb staff are simply wonderful hosts whose attention to detail in the service of their guests is amazing in this day and age of generic approaches to the hotel business. Breakfast is a delight. Das Nikolai is close to public transit. This 25-room hotel is my new home when I go to Munich as I do frequently.
The overall hotel design and the perfect location within the trendy Schwabing district and just seconds away from the wonderful English Garden The bathroom tap was clogged when we arrived, but I was fixed very quickly
super services,excellent staff thank you
Staff and quality of room was impeccable.
Location and service Room quite small and lacking an easy chair and a decent size table. Black bathroom with bad lighting made it difficult to see properly.it all looked very smart, but was not all that practical at all. felt a bit like a prison. For the price it was not up to standard.
The personnel was extremely nice and helpfull, I liked the atmosphere and the breakfast was great I was expecting more spacious room judging by photos - the size of the room was disapointing
it is closed to everyehere. especially to urban.. it has very kind and helpful staff. and food of the hotel is excellent nothing at the first time :)
A small delight. This modern hotel had friendly helpful staff who went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Facilities and services better than most large hotels. Parking garage on site. Visitors should know that there is not air conditioning.
it's convenience/Friendly staff /good value
I liked the relaxing design of the room. The quietness. It's location close to the English garden and the busy Munchener Hof. The breakfast was very filling with a cook on hand to make any omlette or eggs you liked. The staff were very nice, provided a cot for our baby and heating food on demand.
The hotel is clean and was a god value for money if you considerer the prices hotels charge during the Oktoberfest Season. Location and the size of the room.
Excellent efficient staff who were very obliging, helpful and even offered information we hadn't realised we would need. Wonderful breakfast. Bathroom maybe a little risque.
very clean space, great design. would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to munich.
The hotel is exceedingly clean and modern. The showers are all "rain" type in large stalls. The included breakfas was fantastic. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The air conditioning system is based on a cold water type system. There is no fan forced air and very little humidity is removed. The room was a bit warm and stuffy on occassion.
Modern, clean and beautiful but to expensive.
Very good breakfast, Rooms Design Bathrooms should have some division to the room.
Buffet breakfast was divine, and such a diverse range (one of the best we've ever seen!). And bathroom layout. To get there from the metro you needed to walk through a dimly lit park - perhaps not the safest feeling late at night?
The staff was friendly, condition of room was accurately reflected in the photos - clean, modern, great rainshower, comfortable bed. Sauna was nice. A bit out of the way from the closest U-bahn, about a 15 minute walk.
comfort structure of the bathroom
New, modern and clean design hotel Airconditioning is noisy and can't be put off via room panel. However, after calling reception they advised me to turn it off via the fuse box in the room. Had a good sleep then.
Rooms are clean 1)The stuff are not pro. enough to meet international communication. skills and hotel management standards
Quite and nice room at the top floor, internet for free over cable connection.
The hotel and room is so new (opened just 1 month) that everything is beautifully clean and pristine. The breakfast was very extensive with nice touches such as a selection of home-made yoghourts and varieties of coffee made to order by a friendly waitress and served in a pleasant room in the basement. Minor points, but it would have been useful to have bedside tables in the room; there is no lounge or public area as the reception desk area leads straight off the street (perhaps the breakfast room could be used or the attic); the decor may be a little minimalist and brown (wallpaper and lots of wood veneer) for some tastes (coloured lights in the lightbox in the breakfast room might help brighten things up).
Clean and new brand hotel, especially bathroom .This is the most important thing for a hotel. The location is in a nice place. The prices is to high for this hotel. The rooms are not same that you see in the picture in booking or their web site. Design is same but smaller then the picture.
The suite was roomy and well equiped Lobby is very small
great location with parking location
quietness, confort and cleanliness. there was no wifi available.
Clean and best location to everywhere in Munich.
Hotel is in on a very good location regarding both public transport and pedestrian routes. Interior - extremely well balanced modern design with effective use of space. Top advantages/facilities: cleanliness, private parking (not included in price); in the room: free safe, hotel booklet providing very detailed information regarding stay in Munich and the area and - most interesting for business visitors - free (wired, cords available on the reception desk) Internet in the room. Remark: not used hotel restaurant thus can not provide info about meals available at the hotel. Only minor: 1. although there is very effective booklet providing necessary information, free printed materials about Munich and the area, including basic maps, would be very welcomed 2. remark for family visitors: this hotel does not target family visitors, thus does not have children facilities
Room comfortable - Very nice breakfast - excellent location (nice and quiet area) - Internet free Lack of facilities (computer room)
The hotel was inexpensive and in a good location. It was a good deal for one night in Munich. The staff was less than friendly and could have provided us with more information about the hotel and facilities when we checked in. The internet connection was atrociously slow.
I asked the receptionist to call for a taxi. The taxi has arrived one hour before. that was not so good taking into account that they have woken me up at 4 am.
Size of the rooms, the cleanliness of the hotel and the quiet location and it being not too far out of Munich centre. Very expensive but I suppose that is because of the Oktoberfest.
The key cards did not work in the elevator and it was quite inconvenient, and the hotel was far out of the city center.
The room was very clean, and did had a nice smell. They also had soft towels. The beds were very hard, and the pillows were pretty old. The walls as in most european hotels were very thin, so I did not sleep very well. They could also give you some body lotion and conditioner in the bathrooms.
The area is quiet with a couple with supermarkets close by. Ideal for families and the provided kitchenette is very useful. Parking is very easy in the area and at the same time you can get the public transport means to go downtown. Hotels' breakfast do not reflect the standard and you have to pay it. Bottom line it doesn't worth to pay for it.
spaciousness and cleanliness of the room a far walk from the subway
Bed was too hard.
Goood hotel in terms of Value for money.
Location good for visitors with a car because there is plenty of on-street parking. The hotel room is large by European standards. Location was in a business park so there were few retail stores around the hotel.
The room was very clean and accommodating. It was too expensive.
Room was large and okay. There is no restaurant and the small bar is not nice. The breakfast room/corner is too small. No minibar available in the room (drinks and snacks could be bough in the lounge).
very nice rooms, good location near to bus station, quiet
Suite was large with two very comfortable double beds giving lots of space when travelling with friend.
Rooms are perfect for this price. Hotel facilities are good and in general hotel is perfectly clean. 15 minutes walk to closest metro station.
Not in center city, but well served on the public transport. the tramway that bring you to the metro in leopoldstrasse is in few minute walking.
The Star Inn is an excellent choice in Munchen. A new facility with a wonderful atmosphere and extremely attentive staff. We weren't pleased with the smell of cigarette smoke in the lobby. It was a poor welcome to an otherwise pleasant stay.
I would have liked an atm in the lobby, staff could have been more helpful.
Nice room and good breakfast. The location was a bit far.
The price and that the hotel was in a quiet area. free parking on site is a plus Getting out of the tram and walking to the hotel at night was a little scary. Altough it wasn't dangerous , I felt unconfortable walking with the kids after it got dark.
We booked business room - large, spacious, with comfortable sitting zone. The breakfast is very good - several kinds of ham, many cheeses (soft and hard), rich fruits, pastry, juices, desserts. Free parking is a valuable advantage. The T-mobile internet is very expensive - it would be better for hotel to have its own internet facilities in rooms. The transport link to the city centre is rather complex: walking to the tram station than changing to metro really takes time. The surroundings of the hotel don't look interesting.
I like that it was a new hotel. The rooms were clean and the staff were friendly for the most part. Except for the staff member who wanted to charge us 40Euros for breakfast when we hadn't reserved the room with breakfast. The continental breakfast was 10euros per person!! We went to McDonalds just a block away, for the four of us it was 10euros!
Easy to get to from autobahn. Easy access to public transportation. Very good customer service. The smoke lounge needs a better ventilation system.
All was ok.
very nice and standard hotel, transport available everywhere, got two supermarket located just behind the hotel for all your basic need: food, drinks fruit and snacks. not the highest quality, hotel service does not come in cheap and the location is a bit far from underground by walk.
Free upgrade on room and very clean
The hotel is 5 minutes walk to the U6 or take the bus just outside the hotel. Parking is free on the road outside. Ideal location for a quick trip to the centre, a walk to the English Garten or a trip to the Allianz Arena (Alos on the U6).
all perfect no complaints nothing. all was perfect
Price, access to U-Bahn A second pillow on the bed, a bar fridge in the room and I did not like the fact that there was a noisy contstruction site next door that woke me up at 7am
Location, transpot, very easy to access, business district, price The breakfast cost 12 Euros. Too much for such a kind of hotels.
Handy location for the town and underground. We booked in early at 1330. Chubby receptionist said book in at 1500. We then asked a slim lady if we could leave our bags and it turned out our room was ready. Also girl on breakfas reception said breakfast was included. Turned out when we payed our bill it wasn't. When we quiered they just said it wasn't included. Thought that was wrong.
Acceptable as tourist base, needing short metro trip to city centre. Slow check out...just one employee manning reception at prime check out time.
The hotel needs to improve the client service at the fron desk.
closeness to city center, underground, parking space
Breakfast room, too narrow spaced. Rooms on street side too loud, could not sleep with open window!
Nice room, good breakfast, good value for money. Very German (I expected some French but not even a newspaper).
Location is good for Muenchener Freiheit and Schwabing The refrigerator was dead, so all I got was a warm Bavarian beer fromit.
Easy access to subway
cleanness I think internet must be free in this hotel, location was a little far from everything, price is expensive specially during October fest
Proximity to U-Bahn Breakfast not included
It had a good modern en-suite bathroom and an efficient lift, so you didnt have to wait too long. The breakfast - both the facilities and the food - was very limited and so, at 16 euros, was poor value.
The Staff are very friendly and the hotel is very clean. The internet is too slow and the heating in the rooms is not good. Please improve heating as I am often sitting in cold.
Very nice and comfortable hotel, close to subway...
Nice and professional staff at the hotel. Good location between olympic arena and English Park.
24h service. New building. Hard to find after exiting the nearest metro station. No hairdryer in the room (only with deposit)
Very great staff, spoke English well too!
Excellent value for money. They should just go completely non-smoking re the room allocation
Excellent price/comfort ratio. Very good location (just 2 blocks from new tram station which does not appear in goggle maps)
This is my third visit to this hotel in a 10 year period. The facilities are immaculate. The facilities are very well maintained. The premises are as perfect as they were 10 years ago. Cleanliness is important. The premises are immaculate. The staff is excellent; professional, accommodating and courteous. The rate is affordable and fairl
services, quite near to the city center, breakfast the high price
Very helpful staff. Nice terrace in front of the hotel. A bit difficult to reach from S-Bahn station.
Transportation to downtown or Olipiastadium
I had liked gin tonic in the hotel bar reasturant. It was really good. I paid 8 euros per day for parking my car.
Internet connection, far from the city, you need 30 mintues to reach the city by metro
It was close to the MOC which is where my business was. Very basic and in desperate need of renovation. No English spoken either.
Nice room, very quiet place, good bathroom, nice breakfast, 3 blocks to metro station, free wifi. No restaurants or markets near the hotel, 15 min from hotel to central station.
The hotel was conveniently located for an exhibition I was attending at the M.O.C.
Poor, no staff rapport. Bad experience and poorly located
I like the friendly atmosphere at the Arena Stadt München. Location is very good only 15 minutes from Marienplatz.
Very fast way to "Zenith" (ca.15min. on foot), and very easy to go there. The hotel does not have an elevator, und breakfast room is B1. A couple rooms are 1st. floor. If you have heavy luggage or kind of problem about your body, you should think to book there, again. I was breakfast before 9 o'clock and some stuff are empty(Breakfast is until 9.30), and there are no labels like coffee or tea.
More like a guest house than a hotel by American standards, but very nice. Staff at check-in spoke English pretty well, and was very helpful directing us to the U to get into Munich. (The U was only a short walk away). Staff the next afternoon (after returning from the city) spoke little English, but quick to use a Google translator online to help answer some questions before we moved on. Parked safely on the street (it was a quiet street). Great price, and it included breakfast too.
Only stay fore 1 night, could not realy appriciate the hotel as such, however service was excelent, friendly. Once again there is no remark for one day stay, nevertheless a small bar would be welcome and TV on demand if you should stay for more then 3 days.
