Pros: My family and I couldn't have been happier staying here. The room was great. Fit the 3 of us just fine. We had a king size bed and the staff brought up a folding twin for my daughter. The bathroom was fantastic. Giant deep tub, glass enclosed shower, and a separate room for the toilet. The bar/lounge/library down stairs was very nice. Their breakfast was fine. The staff was top notch. They are incredibly friendly and so willing to help make your stay memorable. They took care of booking tours, recommending restaurants, and booking our limousine back to the airport. The location in old Montreal couldn't have been better. It's on a quiet little street and just a short walk to everywhere. Next time I go back to Montreal I will be staying here for certain.

Pros: We loved the location and the staff. the room was spacious and trendy with a bedroom, bathroom, living room, a small kitchenette and a second pull down bed. This is a great spot for families. Pets are accepted (you probably need to make a prior arrangement.

Pros: The room was lovely and we liked having a mini-kitchen. The staff behind the front desk was very knowledgeable and gave us great recommendations.
Cons: Going to the bar for a cup of coffee in the morning, I received cold coffee, which they did replace, but there was a lot of chaos there. Somebody came in to stock the alcohol for the bar, three other staff there, but it still took awhile. Then while drinking my coffee a supervisor came and was reprimanding those 3 staff people, instead of taking them to the back room to do it.

Pros: The hotel is in perfect location what is the most important when we travel. Bed was comfy, our room and other spaces clean, food tasty and the staff...The staff was AMAZING! Me and my husband travel a lot and I mean a lot (few trips to Europe and several trips in US) and this was the friendliest staff we have ever experienced. Every single person, we tried to think about anyone who wasn’t and nope-they are all amazing. Our favorite was James (waiter at the restaurant) such nice and very knowledgeable gentleman. Will definitely come back!!!

Pros: The hotel has such a wonderful interior as is such a statement-setting glass exterior. The suite was very spacious and comfortable for the best night's sleep. Modern-day aesthetic has been very pleasant to see! The staff have been very attentive to my needs and have gone the extra mile to save my life as a DJ by providing me a cable that I had forgotten -- usually, the cable is not something you would easily "whip out of a storage room."
Cons: The parking lot was really tight. This should come as a warning to those who drive a long vehicle, such as a Chevrolet Suburban, because, despite whatever turning radius, your vehicle may rub into a column and, in turn, can do extensive damage to the vehicle body.

Pros: Not enough good things can be said about this hotel. It is beautiful, clean and the rooms spacious. We had a luxury King and the bathroom was the size of the bedroom. The staff was excellent. The concierge secured us a dinner reservation at a place that was booked solid. You also can't beat the location. Right by shopping, restaurants and Bell Centre.
Cons: There was a wedding reception going past midnight. Our parking was comped because of the noise which was a floor below us. That was a nice gesture.

This despite the fact that I've tried 4 Seasons and other luxury hotels. This is the only one that left an impression. Great restaurant - tried it for dinner and breakfast. The only negative is the (free) WIFI - connection was difficult, convoluted, and unreliable.

Pros: Close to museums, McGill University, the metro and other attractions. Very comfortable hotel, quiet with spacious clean rooms. We particularly liked the restaurant, able to provide a late breakfast to us coming from the West coast and sleeping in. This stay was pleasant and enjoyable, thanks!
Cons: We came away from this stay with positive feelings, if I have to stretch for what I did not like it would be limited to their replacing our towels after one use despite asking us to hang up our towels so they could cut back on laundry. Wish all my complaints where so small!

Walking distance to everything. A little far to the old port, but we still walked it and it was fine. Staff were wonderful. When we're in Montreal again we will stay here.

Very easy access to metro and bus stops and a short walk to the museum and Mont Royal Park. Staff was friendly and even provided us with a late checkout free of charge.

Pros: The Bonaventure is a rather unusual hotel, built in a very late 20th century modern style on the top 2 floors of an office/convention center building. Its rooms are laid out in a ring, surrounding a center lobby area with a bar and restaurant, year-round outdoor heated pool and hot tub, and a pond with ducks. Rooms are sleek and modern in a 1960-70s way, but comfortable and updated with firm beds and very nicely sized bathrooms. The rooms are very quiet, The ring layout means that there is minimal hallway noise and the hotel is high enough and with thick enough windows that there is almost no street noise (and many rooms face inner courtyards instead of the street). Staff and service are friendly and efficient, without being intrusive. Bonaventure isn't super-deluxe, but it is a welcoming, calming, and unique experience.
Cons: The only things I can think of is that the walk to the rooms can be a little long, due to the unusual layout and the fact that there are only 2 elevators between the street level and the lobby on the 10th floor. And guests should be aware that there will be short stairways between the lobby area and the hallways for the rooms. The drain in our tub was quite slow, but we let management know and they said the situation would be fixed before the next guest came. There is not a lot going on in the immediate area around the hotel, particularly at night (but there is a large train station across the street with multiple food options, including late fast food and a 24 hour Tim Horton's, and hotel is connected through convention center to underground passages and Metro station).

Pros: Unique experience superior location kind and helpful staff. Asked for a room with great view in quiet location and this was delivered. We arrived early and our bags were cared for and again the next day after checkout. It was an experience to swim and hottub on a roof top and see ducks swimming in a pond with large spruce trees outside while eating great breakfast buffet the next morning again on a roof top. Took someone special to Montreal for her 77th birthday and she was so impressed with our stay, the staff and the facilities that we have decided to make an annual event.

Pros: Our room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. Although we had heard some concerns about night time noise, the hotel was quiet during our stay. The pool was lovely as ever, and a hot tub has been added since our last stay. The water temperature was just right in both pool and hot tub. Lockers for your clothes are free. The exercise room is nice. The duck pond was fun to watch.
Cons: A hotel the size of the Bonaventure could really use three hot tubs, especially since (unlike many hotels) the pool is so popular. We thought the hotel restaurants were a little expensive, although there are some reasonable dining options in the levels below Place Bonaventure. The carpeting in the hallways looks very worn, but on closer inspection, it's the pattern.

Pros: Delta Montreal was only about 2-3 blocks from the Metro, which was pretty convenient. Staff was pretty helpful the few times I asked them about things. The room was pretty large - it looks just like the photos online (when I saw it online I was convinced the pictures were of a suite, but most regular rooms are actually that enormous!). The beds were super comfortable. The hotel was overall very clean. Since there were 3 elevators I never had to wait long. The smart desk was really cool, though we never made use of it. I also never used the gym and pool, so I can't attest to their quality.
Cons: If you want to spend time in Old Montreal, it's a bit of a hike on foot (though that isn't the hotel's fault). The room could have used more drawer space (there was only 1 drawer available).

Pros: We were extremely disappointed that we were not told when booking that the hotel is undergoing renovations and that the pool would be out of commission. Also there were no efforts to provide ice for guests since all ice machines were not working. Cons: I've stayed at many Sheraton hotels in the past, and have always left completely satisfied with what I expected from the hotel chain; top notch service. During this stay, sadly I did not receive that same service. I originally booked a room with 2 Queen size beds for 2 nights as advertised on Kayak and reconfirmed with hotel staff when I called in to update my credit information. Upon arrival, I was told that my room was not what was guaranteed and that according to their computers I booked a room with 1 King size bed. My friend and I again mentioned that it was confirmed over the phone by one of their front desk reps, no extra steps to try and find accommodations other then to take a room with one bed and a pullout couch. The manager on duty made no attempts to even check sister locations for an available room with 2 beds. She even went as far as to imply that i blame myself for not booking earlier as that weekend was Osheaga weekend in Montreal. I BOOKED A MONTH IN ADVANCE!!! We ended up having to take the room with the pull out couch and were given free parking passes for our troubles. We asked for extra pillows and blankets to be sent to the room as well. Instead we were told that there were no more extra pillows and blankets available as they were at full capacity but they would see what they could do... We were brought a measly throw to use. The next morning with people checking out, we approached the front desk and asked if it was possible to have our original booking. The front desk rep told us that they were able to accommodate us after all, all we had to do was make sure all of our belongings were packed and ready to be moved to the new room and when we get back we just had to pick up our new key card at front reception. After repacking, and heading out for the day; we came back to NO SUCH CHANGES. No we could not move, no other accommodations blah blah blah. Went back to our room expecting it to be at least cleaned... THEY HADN'T EVEN BOTHERED TO CLEAN OUR ROOM. I am never staying at this particular location again.
