Pros: So BEAUTIFUL , clean perfect if you just want to relaxfar away from
Cons: Is to far you need a car for everything
Cons: Great resort facilities, but a 90 min. time share intro turned into 3 plus hours! Mazetlan and the surrounding area are interesting, so the 45 min. ride into the historic center of town is a bit of a pain. If you're looking for an all inclusive veg-out resort it's fine.
Pros: The room and rest of facilty was very nice
Cons: You needed to go elsewhere to access a viable beach

Pros: i liked the staff. very polite and accommodating
Cons: the pool was filthy. the guests were dirty. elevators leaked water from ceiling. it was busy and not very private. the ocean had lots of dangerous waves and jelly fish. food was mediocre. there was construction going on and it was very loud!!!! could not sleep in! it is far from the city.

Pros: We had a great Ocean view room. The friendly staff were very nice.
Pros: Pretty view from our beachfront room.
Cons: Everything is by the book. Not a good, fun feeling. They have the cruise crowd in which overtakes the whole resort- obnoxious. The lovely pool pictures on the website is freezing. The pools that are warm are trashy.
Pros: I loved staying at this hotel and I felt completely at home. Room with the ocean view is amazing. Private beach area for those staying at the hotel. Complimentary breakfast buffet is great but get there early. Staff is amazing. This hotel also has many activities for guests. I would suggest to book their all inclusive package. I enjoyed their "Viva México" show at their theatre. I did not get to enjoy the pools because you have the beach right at you doorstep however the pools did look very nice. All in all I cannot wait to go back!
Pros: Italian Dinner Restaurant has pretty good food.
Pools are very nice and I believe they are salt water pools. No more smelling like chlorine or burning eyes.
Activities are good
Cons: The only bad thing about this hotel is that they ask for your bracelet number for everything, which slows down the process to get anything. Instead of going straight to the bar and ordering a drink, you have to wait in line behind people ordering food, in order to order a drink. Need to start a scanning process in order to speed up things.

Pictures do not reflect reallity, for sure I won't recommend this hotel to anybody. In my opinion too expensive for what you get.
Pros: Hotel location is good, close to shopping mall in the tourist area.
Cons: non confortable beds, towels, sheets and pillows very old and smells to humidity. Bad service in check in. General room conditions are less than expected. Internet access is not good and very expensive as well.

Cons: We prepaid eight months in advance, and at check-in was told that the hotel did not have a room for us. They moved us to a sister property that was 20 minutes away. Only to have us moved back to the original property without any explanation. I would skip this hotel and opt for an Airbnb condo with a pool next time.
Pros: By the beachfront in a clean beautiful site Close to restaurants and bars, they also have sport activities
Cons: They have all inclusive and none inclusive and for what I paid it was expensive non all inclusive. They charge $ 15.00 dollars to use their W F. Per day.

Pros: Beach location was good, but very overcrowded when I was there.
Cons: I was there with the business colleague for a business trip and was highest price hotel in Mazatlan. When I found my room was not on the beach side hotel, we paid and upgraded to rooms on the beachfront hotel. However, we found out it was only one bedroom suite room they wanted to put us in. When I went to get a second room, they made me pay an up charge again. I truly felt that it was a scam to keep getting more money out of me. This whole process took 1.5 hours to check in and was very frustrating.
Facilities are very dated and not completely clean like newer hotels would be. The pool area and beach was very crowded while I was there. There was no room to grab a chair.
It was more an old vacation time-share place, than a quality business hotel. Some place like the Ramada would have been a better choice and $100 cheaper. I had stayed at the W in Mexico City for the same price as this and it was in a whole other level. If I was to compare the 2, El Cid would have to be a 1 or 2 out of 10. They may charge these higher prices to compensate for the timeshare people that do not provide enough cash flow.

Pros: I loved the location of the hotel. Right on the beach and loved that 3 of the el cid hotels are on the same property so many pools to choose from. Right next to señor frogs which has open bar on Wednesday and Friday which is so fun!
Cons: Very loud. Under construction?? Can hear everything.
Pros: The staff is their biggest asset for sure.
Cons: Well the loud speaker for the pool activities was a little overboard.
Pros: They are always cleaning! Necessary when you are right on the beach, but still impressive. Constant sweeping.
The A/C worked well in my room, but not in my friends' room.
Although the beds were hard, they managed to be very comfortable for me.
Several English tv channels.
It is right on the beach! Nice to be able to just walk right there and also to have the view.
Cons: NOISY! I had a room overlooking the pool, but also the beach. My room had very little insulation from the noise on the beach (bands) or down below (poolside entertainment) OR next door (through the adjoining door). In fact, every afternoon, my room also smelled like frying food from the pool restaurant. The sounds of the waves in the middle of the night were very strong, too!
I also went to perhaps the best quality restaurant there (La Concha) and had a delicious meal, which I then vomited up a few hours later. I was surprised that, as careful as I was about eating only trustworthy places and foods, that cooked fish, vegetables and rice would finally get me.
Towel service was spotty. They would come get the dirty towels early in the day and not clean the room until late afternoon, so if you needed a shower mid-day, you might have been without a towel. I rarely was provided with hand towels and washcloths both.
They try very hard to get you to buy a timeshare. No desire, with an experience like this.
