Excellent room service, air conditioning, small room, no chair, no mirror in the room.
The hotel rooms My bookings were not passed on to the hotel when I arrived
Perfect location for site-seeing Old room
The hotel is in heart of Kiev
Great location and friendly/helpful staff (a real plus in Ukraine:) If you are not too precious - it should be fine. I usually use apartments, but with no cell and early flight - best to get taxi from hotel at set rate at too early in the am. Rooms are old and worn. I heard some were renovated - but certainly not the one I was in.
Close to Buddha Bar Rooms are not clean and smells
Clean nice staff 24 hour bar nice room amenities Room was old Soviet style furniture typical of this
Location, staff, building. The place is a bit overpriced and the rooms are like a 4 star hotel.
high class hotel, very clean and good service N/A
Only location Basic hotel, the value paid is much more than what it worth's ...
The hotel lobby bar and restaurants were very nice and luxurious. The room appointments however were only average. Door staff were not friendly at all. Acted as if they were doing you a favor. Front desk and bellmen were good however. Hotel Is large and not so personal butt he public areas were very nice
Facilities, food, and staff are excellent. Uncensored adult film previews on TV, and strip club in the hotel, make it a bit inappropriate for a family vacation.
Very high price
breakfast and lunch, apples on the floors.
the roos are not 5 star level.
The facilities were very luxurious. Personnel spoke English. Hotel is managed very well. Room very spacious, fitness center impressive. Offered a price with or without breakfast and fitness as well. That's a great option. The restaurant (Japanese) was very good.
I thought the staff was exceptional. The bar is flexible and willing to stay open a little later than the hours as long as you are generous. Clean rooms and you feel very safe here. First class treatment all the way.
We stayed only 1 day ,unfortunatly , but we confirm that really 5 star hotel, perfect breakfast, proffecional staff
The hotel was centrally located and had excellent staff and amenities. The rooms were very comfortable with excellent beds. The breakfast on the 15th floor was top rate and the view was an added bonus. Would definitely return and recommend.. There was nothing to dislike.
The staff at the City Hotel was excellent. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. Any requests for assistance came with a smile. The food in the restaurant was very good and served tastefully. The location made it easy to walk and explore Kiev. Overall it was.a very pleasant experience.
Relatively new hotel, some English-speaking staff, good location. Prompt room service. Many electric outlets. Room air conditioning would not work after repeated complaints. Too hot to sleep, opened window to cool room, then street noise too loud(cobblestone streets). Had to cut trip short, they would not put me in other room, nor refund any unused days.. Very expensive. Does not deserve 4 stars. No bidet.
Location, Staff and design of the room made for a perfect stay after an 18 hour flight from the US. Staff were both friendly and helpful. The Man at the desk pointed us to the New Years Eve Celebration. Room was spacious, quiet and very comfortable. Kiev was -12 C, and there was always plenty of hot water. The bathroom was floor heated which was a nice amenity in winter. Very well priced. Location is central to most attractions. Metro is only 150 meters away. No complaints
quiet rooms; friendly hotel employees; English speaking reception; WiFi included, breakfast included. small dining room for breakfast; no restaurant for dinner; sunday without cleaning the room; narrow rooms, cramped lift and corridor.
Good small clean hotel
This Hotel sits back from the main road within a courtyard arrangement. City / road noise is vertually non-existant. The hotel staff are without doubt - some of the most professional, helpful and kind - that i have ever met. The cost.
quiet place, to sleep no
The hotel was an oasis in the city, had a very peacuful atmosphere, and had somewhat design style. It was located such a way that no street noise neither street lights could disturb the silence. The personnel was very helpful, friendly and professional. Additional advantage that the hotel had only 24 rooms or so, no noise in the corridors, nor people hanging in the bar etc. I travel a lot for my work, but this is absolute the best hotel I was ever in. It really enjoyed to be there.
Nothing No english tv no one speak English Under construction When I ask to speak to the owner of hotel to see why he can not put English chanel I was told the owner is one of ukraine government and they don't give a shit If that's the case I will Email to all the us websight to remove this garbage hotel from us market
Bed was ok, WiFi was strong, fast and stable, staff was helpful and professional, just a nice average European hotel! Television was all local, only in Russian or Ukraine, and some "Warning" banner was constant on some channels! I did not come for television so not a real big problem, just saying what I know.
Bed excellent, very big and comfortable. Big airy balcony, plenty of room for table and chairs but none provided.. Plenty of electrical sockets for phone chargers etc. Staff pleasant and helpfull. Clean and well decorated. Quiet location. Air conditioner unit, electric wall heater plus hotel heating system in room. Light switches glow in the dark. To reach the hotel from the street door you have to climb two flights of stairs, there is no lift. No fire escape plan in the room, or anywhere else that I could see. No "Exit/Emergency Exit" signs anywhere that I could see. If there was an emergency exit I never saw it, or signs leading to it. I booked a Junior Suite,. It was not a suite but a standard room. The room had only one chair, I asked for, and was given a second one. There was no way to hold up the shower head so you had to hold it yourself whilst showering. There was no shower curtain or rail for one, so the water went all over the floor. Breakfast, not enough seats, not enough utensils, not enough plates, not enough anything, tea was included but coffee cost extra.
Nothing! Lights didn't work. Power points didn't work. Wi-fi didn't work. Shower went hot then cold then hot. Shower didn't drain and flooded the bathroom. Rooms are tiny. Bathroom is tiny.
Hotel staff Cleanliness of the room is terrible. Two days out of 4 they didn't clean my room. The hotel is under construction and workers start fron 8AM to 5PM. Was blocked outside of the hotel at 2AM for 20 minutes as the staff was sleeping. Well bellow standard! Will never recommend this hotel to anyone.
Good quality price, located not far from center, good quality of bed, bif space and totally new. Half of hotel in reconstructions, procedures not clear (my room was without towels), and because it's very small breakfast for poor.
polite personal, convenient location breakfast not so good
I knew that this was going to be a great place even before we got there. Sergey promptly and personally responded to questions that I had via email. Any and all requests that we had were fulfilled. Evgenie at the desk was extremely helpful, courteous and accomodating. Rooms are large, first class. We enjoyed the in-room jacuzzi bathtub. Friends stayed there as well at the same time as us and loved it. Location, location, location!
Water pipes could be less noisy.
Location of this building is great , in the heart of Kiev , its 1 minute walk from Medan , the front intrance is comfortable , all what i needed was available , wi fi , small kitchen , clean toilet , comfortable bed , and most important also that manager speaks english , because in Ukraine its difficult to find people who can speaks english . The price is High , I would advice KievInn if Studio price (which i rented) is not more than 100 dollar.
KievInn is really an apartment rental service, but they are excellent for the price and their location half a block from Maidan cannot be beat. I visited on 6/25/14 and was amazed by the protest encampment in the square- massive makeshift barricades and a tent city exist amid the grandeur of its post-Soviet architecture, and the many people there were very friendly and extremely happy for a foreigner to be present and photographing their situation (I am American). The apartment was HUGE for a $79/night flat, with a sitting room w/ couch and flatscreen, a very comfortable and large bedroom (also w/ flatscreen), and a well appointed bath room that even had a washing machine. Its location was a bit funky- you had to open a garage door to access it- but in the end this was an effective security measure, I suppose. A half-minute walk to Maidan! The reception was warm, and spoke sufficient English to accommodate me and to arrange for a taxi to Boryspil airport the following morning (250 UAH). The ceiling in the flat was low by American standards-it was not a problem for me at 6'0", but someone of large stature might have an issue, especially in the shower.
Hotel staff .Comfort. all was perfect
Great location, spacious rooms, courteous staff. We stayed at the hotel for two nights in October 2010, and will definitely stay again if in Kyiv. There was no breakfast provided at the hotel while we were there, but they are planning to open a place soon. There is also a nice coffee shop very close to the hotel. No elevator, so you have to walk the stairs to the 4th floor, but it's a good exercise:)
Very good price and computer with internet in the room. Very bad location and services in rooms.
Internet access, simple but clean rooms, cheap but acceptable service, the stuff is helpfull The hotel is in the middle of renovating,to contact the stuff you must go upstairs to the reseption (no lift,no phone), no sound isolation ( you can hear neighbors coughing in the next room), the service is poor.It is the first hotel in my experience where the list of "the rules that guests must follow" is much longer then the list of the services available.
The hotel staff was very helpful. I paid double The Amount.AS I put all the card details on the website for reservation/booking.the money was deducted from the account even before I arrived.and on my arrival mr sergei green still asked for my card in order to swipe it to get his money.I Told him that it was necessary for him to swipe my card and he did.by this the bank charged me again. Please help on this.As I would continue using booking.com in the near future...Thanks
place is a disaster!
Cheap hotel with the necessary amenities in a residential area. 25 minutes walk from the nearest metro station. I had my own car so hotel location was not a problem. And this, in a way, is not a classic hotel. It is placed in an apartement building in poor condition, but rooms are surprisingly comfy with good wired internet. This is not family hotel but very good value to stay in Kiev.
