The whitewashed Ios Resort enjoys a central location in Ios Town, just a few minutes’ walk from the clubs and restaurants. It has a swimming pool with poolside bar and offers tastefully furnished rooms with free Wi-Fi. Rooms and suites at Ios Resort are decorated in earthy tones featuring wooden furnishings. They are air conditioned and have a balcony or patio with pool or town views. Facilities include an LCD TV, mini fridge and hairdryer. The hotel’s bar serves refreshing drinks, cocktails and light meals next to the pool, while continental breakfast is prepared daily. BBQ nights are organized on a weekly basis. Ios Resort is 3 km away from the port and the popular Mylopotas Beach. At 200 metres guests can find a bus station and at 100 metres there is a supermarket. Private on-site parking is provided free of charge.

Pros: Nice breakfast with fresh fruits and yogurt. Ask for the paid expresso so to avoid the free but very weak coffee. Well decorated, comfortable, clean and quiet rooms.

Pros: I stayed on my own here for two nights and was blown away from the minute I walked in the door. The room was beautiful and well equipped. The pool and common areas were just as stunning and I never wanted to leave. Included breakfast was generous. Hotel staff communicated easily and the complimentary transfers to/from the port were an added bonus.

Cons: No privacy (my room was right in front of the reception/breakfast area) , no phone service (I would have loved some information about this issue), the property is right up a steep hill and the road is quite unsafe, dark and narrow, wasps "are in the air!".

Pros: The owners of the hotel were fantastic. Loved the location and the atmosphere. It was super clean and the best hotel of our trip. The food at the restaurant was delicious and very affordable. We had a beautiful sunset view from our large room terrace.

Pros: The staff at Golden Sun were amazing from the second we walked in! Cold glass of water (well needed) and a great welcome from Jana and Sofia. This is a family run business and it has a real warm atmosphere. The girls were very helpful in providing a map and providing some great recommendations. The pool was beautiful and had plenty of sunbeds to lounge in. They run a free service to/from the ferry to help with the luggage and there is a bus stop right outside to take you to Chora for some nightlife and also onto Mylopatos for those beach days. Great spot, great people and great value. Would highly recommend it!

Pros: The owner is super friendly and helpful, he made sure we had everything we needed. The rooms are comfortable with a small terrace/balcony each, and the view is great, especially from the swimming pool at the top.
Cons: The location is between the port and the town center, so a little inconvenient if you don't have a vehicle. Busses run regularly though and you can escape the buzz and partying of the town.

Pros: The owners were awesome! Extremely down to earth. They have perfected the art of service - by which, they have created an environment that taps into what a traveller needs. We huuugely appreciated this after 3 weeks of travel. The room was a great size and clean and tidy. The pool was fab. The location is on the quieter side of the island, but easily accessible to the rest of Ios. Just a 10min walk to port, restaurants and the bus stop. Easy as! The buffet breakfast was perfect. An that watermelon marmalade, delicious (and clever). Quiet! We loved everything.

Pros: The location of this Hotel is perfect since everything is very close to the port. We walked from the Hotel to the beach, bakeries, and supermarkets. The best of this hotel is Nicky and Lisa. They really know what is customer service and how to help people to have a really good time in Ios. You almost can feel your are staying with your family. Pros: Nick and Lisa were fabulous hosts. Nick picked us up from the port free of charge and we were greated by Lisa who sat with us and helped us plan our 2 day stay in Ios, giving tips for the best places to visit and where to eat. Room was clean, breakfast was excellent. Loved the honesty fridge- great idea. Could not fault this hotel! Will hopefully be back.

Pros: The facilities, room, staff, location we all perfect! We had a pool facing room with a beautiful terrace. The staff were amazing and made every effort to make our stay memorable. A 2 minute walk to the nearest beach which was quite whilst having a handful of places to eat. Bus stop over the road to all nearby destinations. Strawberry daiquiris were a must.

Pros: The location was perfect with an amazing pool. Only 300m to the port and the local bus stop. The bus can take you into the towm(Chora) and also to some beautiful beaches. The family run the hotel and are very friendly and go beyond to be helpful. Flora and Dimitri are wonderful people and made our shay amazing. We loved our loft bedroom with lounge area and kitchen. They make the best hamburgers we have ever tasted. We will be back to stay here again.
Cons: The bees and flies at breakfast. The hotel tried to keep them away. Not their fault it was just the time of year. Also it was very windy on this side of the island during our stay but not as bad as it is in Mykanos.

Pros: Nice modern rooms, loved the outdoor sitting area for chilling, and the day bed by our spa. Breakfast was good, nice selection! Staff were super lovely, friendly and helpful - welcomed us with a drink upon arrival, was super lovely and thoughtful! Easy access to the port and to Chora, lots of buses to get around too. Nice pool with lots of sun beds.
Cons: Hard towels, very rough on your skin. The spa bath is FREEZING cold, I thought it would be warm.. a little disappointed because I was so looking forward to using it. Wifi in our room hardly worked, mainly used our own Data. There was an INSANE amount of bugs. Huge black bugs, they went into my clothes and heaps of ants?!

Pros: Our stay at Yialos was impeccable. From the moment we checked in, we were given complimentary drinks and food until the day we checkerboard our when they allowed us late check out and to use the pool before we got on our ferry. The entire family is so welcoming and open.

Pros: The rooms were big and clean. Plus, we had a very nice pool with a pool bar. It was very relaxing. The food and the drinks at the bar were excellent. The hotel owners were really nice to us. Service was great; we had a problem with the shower but they fixed it right away. It was in walking distance to Chora (10 min). Our time there was amazing!

Pros: -the location is incredible, it is about a 200-300m walk from the port where the ferry drops you. This is fantastic because you can avoid the hassle. It is only a 100m walk to the beah as well which is also right near a bar and some nice restaurants. The pool and poolside bar and restaurant at this hotel are incredible. There are alot of young people staying here (18-25yrs) when i was there. In particular, there were alot of young women. Very good scenery.
Cons: -the owner was very rude to us upon arrival. our ferry from another island to this one was cancelled due to high winds, and as a result we arrived a day later at this hotel then we were menat to. because we had booked online, we were a day late for our booking, through no fault of our own. The owner was very rude (gave us death stares and spoke to us in a bad tone), even though we clearly explained there was nothing we could do as the enxt ferry didnt leave for the next day. I would not stay here again if this is how the owner treats all of her customers. I felt like telling her off. Very rude and bitchy. It impacted on our stay. Also, the room ie very very tiny and not comfortable. The bathroom is quite poor as well.

Pros: When we got off the ferry the manger was there to meet us. From the get go he couldn't do enough for us. It is a two minute walk from the port and 1 minute from the beach. The location is excellent. From the centre it is 10 minutes on the bus which leaves often from the port. If you take the steps it is about 20 minute walk. Tough walk up but fine coming back in the evening or night. We were given excellent recommendations on places to eat by the manger. If we were to visit again we would 100% stay here.

Pros: We loved staying here! The room was spacious and had good aircon and overall clean and comfortable. It was in a quiet little area surrounded by garden, which made it a really lovely place to stay! It is right near the ferry port (you can walk) which was so convenient, which means it’s also a short work to Yialos beach, which was awesome! Loved staying here.
Cons: The location was nice and a good little area of Ios, but is not in the main part of town when the main clubs/bars/resteraunts are, and isn’t near places like Far Out Beach club (Mykopatas Beach). Keep that in mind if you’re in Ios to party. In saying that, there was a bus really close by that took you into the main places and was very quick, so it was a still a great place to stay :)

Pros: I had the best time at Villa Mata. It's such a unique and special place and it felt like home from the first Moment. What I personally liked the most was the beautiful garden, which was maintained with love and devotion. There are pomegranate trees and many interesting plants. Lambros is an incredibly warm and attentive host. If you travel alone, this is the perfect place for you :)

Pros: Very good comunication with the owner. Very beautiful decorated garden, patio, front yard. Close to the port and a clean, cheap beach. Shared kitchen with everything you need. Outside seating area, lovely for warm, summer nights. Good working air conditioning, very good water presure in the bathroom, and also the owner provided an hayr dryer on request.
Cons: The beds were not the most confortable, quite rigid matresses.

Pros: I really loved the flowers at the entrance and the cleanliness of the room. There was a bathroom with a big shower and this isn’t very common in the islands. Lambros has been a great host, he’s given us a lot of suggestions and advices. Also the position of Villa Mata is very good, less than 5 minutes walking from the port and Gialos Beach and about 10 minutes walking from Chora (the Village). Also the price was really really good!

This family-run hotel enjoys an idyllic location in the heart of Ios town, providing the perfect base from which to explore the beauty of traditional white Greek houses, little chapels and windmills of this beautiful region. Guests will find themselves close to some of the most important tourist attractions in the area, including the ruins of Palaikastro castle, historically known as Homer's tomb. A wide choice of bars and restaurants serving local delicacies and fish dishes are to be found at the port taverns. The charming guest rooms are decorated in bright colours and come with air-conditioning. The beautiful garden is ideal to enjoy a delicious breakfast while admiring the magnificent views over the surrounding landscape while the hot tub is ideal to enjoy a moment of relaxation.

Pros: Location is good for visiting Santorini but not being in the centre. Apartment was nice and we were well received. Pool area small but relaxing and clean. Lovely sitting outside at night and listening to the Greek ladies with their music chatting on another balcony. Beds comfortable and clean. Fine for a few days visit.
Cons: It's a walk along through streets you can't be dropped off. Lovely but not suitable for everyone. Road from Santorini could be better and lighting improved. Bathroom is very small but they were all like that so far. Kitchen area could be improved dodgy electrics, cable and loose socket! Bathroom too just small bits that make a difference. We learnt the hard way that the beach is too far to walk to. Clients need to remember to be careful what they put down the wc. It really is a problem for the owner.

Pros: The property was in the perfect location! I cannot explain enough how lovely the hosts were, it’s owned by a family and we were there for a party holiday, not once did they complain about us and they put up with us for the 2 weeks we were there. Andreas was so lovely and helpful and the cleaners were very considerate and only cleaned the room when it was unoccupied so they didn’t wake us up early in the morning to get out so they could clean. The place was absolutely immaculate and there was a very homely feeling. I felt very safe there and if we needed anything the family were always there to help us with whatever we needed! Could not recommend more :)

Pros: Great family hotel , they will pick you up and drop you off at the port , they wouldn't have to as it's about 5-7 mins walk from the port .. but lovely gesture .. welcoming glass of juice .. you can have a good banter with grandson in the bar by the pool . Pool is lovely, lovely view .. haven't had a breakfast so can not really say much about it .. TV in the room shows you how long until next bus to any destination . Bus stop outside the property . Cleaner pinched my glasses from the room as she thought the are belonging to the bar but doesn't matter .. there is kettle in the room and two plastic cups , fridge. Overall i would recommend it to anyone..

Pros: Hotel is a great location between the port and main town, easy walking distance to both however as others say the bus stop is right at the door and very frequent to take you nearly anywhere you want to go. Staff are the friendliest I have ever come across at a hotel, I can't explain it! Breakfast is fabulous and the pool bar is top notch great pizza and drinks. So many people at the hotel have been coming for years and I can see why, we will definitely be back!

Pros: Our stay at Pelagos Studios lasted for 4 days and we really enjoyed a lot! To begin with the owners are amiable, helpful and we appreciated a lot the fact that they are an adorable family, something that represents the domestic style of the residence. Furthermore, the rooms keep their traditional style of the Aegean Sea and will help you enjoy your stay,since they are fully equipped,clean and perfectly maintained. However what makes the difference is the magnificent veranda which gives a unique view over the sea and you can enjoy a cold drink admiring the infinite blue. Finally the studios are within walking distance from the 'Chora'(the center of the island) and the very beautiful beach of Mylopotas!! We strongly recommend going there!

Our breakfast young lady with the cheerful smile and very long black hair was so cheerful even after working many hours the night before at the live Greek music party. Our suite room was very spacious and decorated beautifully and elegantly. Definitely would go back and recommend.

Cons: The service was horrible. We would sit at a table and no one would serve us. We’d have to ask after 20 minutes to order food. This happened twice. At breakfast no one would serve me coffee the staff kept walking by. Everyone else was asked if they’d like coffee or tea around me so again I eventually got up and asked for it after 15 minutes. I also asked for more towel because ours were soaked from showering and after a hot day outside we needed dry ones again later on, and the staff said they had no extra towels in the whole hotel, which is hard to believe.

Pros: Sweetly decorated room and much space to move. About ten minutes of walk to the port where you have the biongiorno bakery and the aegean supermarket, making the days of stay cheap. We didn't experience any sound disturbances from the other fellow renters or from the road which is actually not in the direct proximity of this hotel , which is a plus.
Cons: The seawater of the nearby Yalos beach blury if you dive. Gasses from vehicles getting blown towards the sand area where people are chilling under the sun. Frequent vehicle traffic with no pavements for the pedestrians making it risky to walk without getting paranoid looking around you.

Cons: There was a cicada in our aircon that was loud all night. This didn't matter on the nights when we were roaming the bars of Ios, however was very loud and kept us awake on the nights we stayed in. Our aircon also didn't work so the room was quite hot all the time.

Pros: The staff were extremely professional. From beginning to end, the staff really made it a great week. We got upgraded for our last two days to their suite with a private jacuzzi which was a nice way to finish. The breakfasts were great in the morning and the pool facilities were great also. We ate lunch in the hotel twice during our week long stay and the food is reasonably priced and really good too - so would recommend.
Cons: We can't say a bad word about Relux! The only slight issue is the walk up to the town, but there's a bus 50 metres from the hotel that runs into the town and only costs €1.80 each, so once we worked that out we had absolutely no issues.

Pros: We had a disappointing stay. We entered our room and noticed that there was blood on the walls in the living room. The bed covers were not washed and had hair and stains on them. It felt very uncomfortable. You are not able to open any of the doors without the air con turning off. Which means you have to close the whole apartment to enjoy the cold air.
Cons: The manager of the property was quite rude and argued with me about getting a refund as we weren’t happy with how the room was not clean. After a while however he did agree to give us a refund for the nights we didn’t stay. We still had to pay for the first night which was very disappointing considering the state of the room. Definitely do not stay here if you want to be close to the beach or want to enjoy outdoor space.

Pros: Stunning! The best hotel in IOS. The service in this hotel was so friendly and accommodating. We utilised the spa centre for massages and beauty treatments. The best massages we have ever had anywhere! The room we stayed in was over 2 levels, with a lounge downstairs with a large balcony and the bedroom upstairs. The bed was so comfortable and luxurious. The pool area was large and great bar service. The girls at reception were so hospitable and friendly. Everyone made us feel so special and arranged everything we needed promptly and always with a smile. Loved this hotel. The sunsets from this hotel is so special. We did not get a chance to dine at their famous award winning restaurant on this trip, but the food for lunch was delicious.

Cons: Rooms were really small and beds so hard you could bearly sleep in them. Some of the staff were really rude and it felt like we were not welcome there at all. The owner and her daughter-in-law were really nice. Also there was a really creepy man (probably worker but he never said anything) that walked around in the corridors at night and he came in to our room without knocking to tell us to be quiet when we were laughing at our balcony late one evening. The sound isolation was really bad so if you want to stay at this hotel remember to bring earplugs. Also be prepared for wasps. The breakfast was not worth 8€ each morning.

The food and drinks are fantastic and very well priced, particularly the happy hour drinks, which were greatly enjoyed by the fantastic pool! Its located really close to the port and a 10 min walk up to downtown.
Cons: The beds could have been more comfortable, not terrible, but def not great. The set up of the showers is a bit weird, there is no separation so the whole bathroom gets wet.
