Pros: I booked this as an "extravagance" to celebrate my mother's 80th Birthday. Due to a small event that was going on in an area close to the room which I reserved, the insightful and generous hosts "upgraded" our mother/daughter party of two. My mother felt like an absolute queen. We visited in rocking chairs on the back porch. We lounged in beautiful and heavenly beds. We were amazed by the picnic basket delivery for a morning masterpiece breakfast! I am so very grateful! I want to purchase a gift certificate for my newly married daughter-perfect anniversary present.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our stay was a get together for 3 long time friends who had not seen each other in about 3 years. We picked Hoffman Haus due to location and good reviews. It exceeded expectations. Property is beautiful. Staff are extremely helpful and accommodating. Rooms had sitting areas so we could talk late into the night and then coffee and supplies to make early coffee. The icing on the cake was a hot delicious breakfast delivered to the room doors. We loved the property so much we honestly only left to visit Wildseed Farms (another do not miss if in the area) and visiting some family. A clean wonderful affordable option in Fredericksburg. We will definitely be back!
Cons: Tub showers were kind of high to get in BUT this is being nit picky!! Out stay was beautiful!

Pros: Hoffman Haus is a lovely hotel that is so very unique. Located near the center of Fredericksburg, it’s convenient to the many wineries in the area. it is quiet and charming. Pros: Very roomy. Way better than a chain motel.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable good location in town. A bit low on charm, good value.
Cons: View of storage units.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: An old-style, family-owned/run motor-court motel, with carport next to each room. Rooms were updated but still offered character. Hotel is dog friendly, but they do charge a fairly hefty fee.
Cons: Bathroom is far from spacious if not cramped. I had thought this would be a good value but had I known the dog fee was as high as it was, I might have re-considered. If safety is a concern, you should know that there are not double locks or a swing bar on the room door.
8.0 Excellent
Cons: Photos gave the impression of a one-house B&B, the property has a motel-style layout. However, staff were very friendly and responsive, and room was comfortable, quiet, and well-equipped even if you have a room close to our the street.

Pros: Very clean, friendly staff.
Cons: A bit out-dated, but very nice for the price!

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great facilities - amazing gardens, firepit, pool area. Rooms good, breakfast good
Cons: People next door to us left their dog in their room while they went to breakfast and its howling woke us up. When we phoned reception they weren't particularly enthusiastic about finding the guests responsible (it may be that they weren't in the hotel but we didn't get any feedback).

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Love the location (right off the main drag), grounds, and pool area, esp the hot tub and outdoor fireplace.

Cons: Stayed here for the hot tub but way too many kids. Should have an Adults only time.

Pros: The grounds at the Fredricksburg Inn and Suites are really special. There are many different areas to sit outside and enjoy the beautifully landscaped property. The sheets and towels were excellent and the beds very comfortable. Easy walk to shops.
Cons: I initially thought I might not care for the outside hallways, but it really wasn't an issue. Everything else was so great that I wouldn't even consider going to a big name brand hotel were I to return to Fredericksburg.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I really enjoyed the hotel and breakfast. Front desk clerk was cordial in arrival and departure. The location is near the main strip, perfect location.

Cons: I booked early so I couldn''t remember the rate and the desk clerk wouldnt give that info either, it''s my money! I did find a $30 charge on my account but it later removed. Balconies face the pool so you kinda feel watched.

4.5 Okay
Pros: Big rooms. Convenient location.
Cons: Air conditioner did not work in June in Texas. Bad news!!! Never got cooler than 77 with thermostat set at 65. After trying to sleep in a warm stuffy room, they turned off the water in the morning for 30 minutes for some repair. I think the motel has outlived its facilities. Summer in Texas is way too hot to do without air conditioning. When I notified the front desk , they told me "just wait, it will get cooler". It didn't. Very disappointed.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Remodeled very nice. Downtown. Walk to shopping. Very clean. Nice staff
Cons: Little pricey. But not bad for the location.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great spot on Main Street Fredericksbug. Walk to darn near everything. Staff was great, asked for quiet room on ground floor and got one - 111 - and parked right in front of room. Older hotel (I stayed in it about 35 years ago) but adequately updated and comfortable beds. Hospitality coffee is good but breakfast is best found elsewhere.
Cons: Forgot to ask that they not put 4 kids in the room directly above. Coffee maker didn't work and spewed hot water all over.
6.5 Good
Pros: Heated pool Fantastic location continental breakfast very quite
Cons: Housekeeping - dirty band aid in bathroom! Liquid meds found in frig, glad our son didn't find it!
6.0 Good
Pros: The location is really good and within walking distance to everything on Main Street.
Cons: We arrived for breakfast at 9:00 am and there wasn't much food left. It was a continental breakfast with a waffle maker to cook your own. The waffle batter was empty and there were no staff members available or maintaining the area as guests came in and depleted the food. We ended up leaving without eating because there wasn't anything left by 9:00 am.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very easy, clean and in a great location

7.0 Good
Cons: Bathroom amenities
7.0 Good
Pros: The office clerk was extremely welcoming and helpful.
Cons: We were in town during a cold spell and would have preferred a heavy blanket as an alternative to the heater. There was no extra blanket available in the room an we had to use the wall mounted heater unit which was very loud.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Staff was friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable.
Cons: Floors and sheets were dirty. Staff said they would mop the floor and they may have, but there was still dirt on the floor. When we decided to try and stay another night, they wanted double the price and even on a weekend, it barely warranted the $75.00 price we paid.
7.0 Good
Pros: We have stayed at the Kitzmiller several times. This time was the least enjoyable. We love that it is on Main, close to everything and usually a reliable experience. I like that the furnishings are a bit retro, room is clean and hotel quiet.
Cons: We stayed in a room near the ice machine and it was well used early in the morning and loud! We wanted to sleep in but could not near it. Additionally, motorcyclist riding Harleys felt free to pull up right next to our door. They were not considerate.
6.0 Good
Pros: This is a motel not a hotel. You drive up to the door. The room was updated, clean and a very comfortable bed. The room is small and good enough to sleep in. Out our back window was a bbq unit that was unattractive. The area is expensive on the weekends.
Cons: I the name hotel is misleading. It is a motel
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This was the cutest little property in a great location! The staff was sweet and super friendly. We loved that they allowed us to bring our dog for an extra $25 pet fee. The beds were very comfortable. We would definitely stay again.
Cons: The 2 cons I have is that the water pressure was extremely low, the water barely trickled out of the shower head and the front door was missing the weather stripping across the threshold on the bottom, so since it was 35 degrees outside, the living room got really cold. Other than that, everything was great!
5.8 Okay
Pros: The manager was very nice and helpful. The location was not far from the center of town.
Cons: This property is called a Hotel but it’s really a motor lodge in my opinion. You park right in front of the door to your room. Our room was listed with a balcony. There are no balcony’s as it is a one story property. I will post a pic of the “balcony” which is 2 metal chairs with a table in the middle by your parking spot. The patio out back is a group of metal chairs on the grass by the street. (Picture attached) At first look I decided to keep an open mind though disappointed with the exterior impression. The room appeared kind of cute when we walked in. It’s very garage sale looking but the Texas theme was cute. The bed was comfortable if you like a firm mattress, which one of us does. The bedding was comfortable and the room appeared clean. Other than that it was thumbs down. Our toilet kept not working properly. We had to keep filling the tank with water. One of the towels had a worn hole. The sliding door to the bathroom had a hole in it. The love seat had a hole in wicker. The shower was good unless anyone else was taking a shower and then you lose pressure and heat. Sunday morning I only got a warm trickle of a shower but Monday it was good most but not all of the shower. You can hear the cars on the road all night, even with us being towards the back away from Main. And the AC/heat wall unit was very loud when it came on. It kept waking us up. For the money it was not worth it. For what we paid I expect at least a nice hot shower and well maintained.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet good location friendly staff.
Cons: The chair could be more comfortable
7.0 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Beds are not very comfortable
7.0 Good
Pros: The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Cons: Old construction in need of an update - clean but with very thin walls, so you could hear everything going on outside your room (for example, when the bars closed at 2a and a big group of people arrived)
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location
Cons: Low water pressure
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: The location
Cons: It was not clean the shower leaked and the water pressure was almost non existent. The floor was extremely dirty. My friend and I wore socks and it was completely black on the bottom from just getting ready. I thought it was an extremely high rate for what what we stayed in. Will not stay there again

Pros: Staff was nice. Downtown Fredericksburg was just a couple minutes away. The place got packed, but it was still pretty quiet and homely.

Pros: Overall conditions are great, safe, hot water superb. Room for improvement. Carpet is old n dirty, requires high pressure vacuum to clean up. Observed my white sock getting black walking around the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room, the breakfast and the friendly staff.
Cons: The outside needs to be cleaned up. Freshing up.
6.0 Good
Pros: The ability to park right in front of our room was a real plus. The bed was very comfy and fresh feeling. Loved the large screen TV.
Cons: Behind the bathroom door was a glob of hair. Yuk! The carpet was so dirty that when I got into the shower, the tub turned BLACK under my feet, as I had been walking around the room barefoot.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place for the money. Very clean, comfortable, warm and friendly staff and the German pastries were outstanding. Grass for our 7 month old Lab to use for her needs. Location also good.
5.0 Okay
Cons: The room was clean but needed repairs/ updating.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The cube between the beds with USB ports.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Staff were very friendly an helpful. This was far better than I expected from an Econo Lodge.
Cons: Minor. And that was the grounds need to have weeds looked after.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Really just didn't care for it honestly. Wine country inn, comfort inn and even the Kitzmiller motel were all better choices when we've stayed in Fredericksburg before!
Cons: It seemed clean enough however, there were bugs crawling around the sink which was a turnoff. Bed was OK. I thought it was pricey for what we got. Bathroom was also just OK needs some updating on fixtures though and those jets just seemed unclean. But I do work in a salon and know how you are supposed to clean whirlpools and I highly doubt that it's done.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: So charming and clean. New owners are making it a wonderful place to stay with your family.
7.1 Good
Pros: The location was great.
Cons: The doors to the reception area were very difficult to open for a disabled person such as myself. They need automatic openers.

Pros: Room well laid out. Functional and comfortable. Everything worked as designed. Bed was comfortable. A/C appeared to be new and made it easy to maintain a comfortable room temp. All in all, a pleasant stay in a pleasant city. We will definitely return.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Convenient to supermarket and drug store. Pretty close to the festival we were attending.
Cons: Small parking lot also used bybusy restaurant next door. Housekeeper spoke little or no English making it hard to ask for specific items.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is a no fancy style with no breakfast nor pool/gym, but it is clean, comfortable, With everything you need most. staff is very friendly and thoughtful. Well located, not in Main Street but close enough, no tourist walk out on property or night bar noise. For this room rate, well booking again for sure.
Cons: The microwave and refrigerator is kind of weak.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Nice folks. And a very good value! No complaints here!
Cons: It's a restored older motel, but that's not really a criticism. It is what it is.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It was clean and convenient
Cons: A bit expensive for what you get
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great night's sleep for the entire stay! Very unusual for me. Great mattress and great pillows. Felt safe traveling with my daughter. AMAZING restaurant next door, the Sunset Grill....a hidden gem in Fredericksburg ! Best breakfast I've ever had, great service, and great coffee. The room isn't super fancy like a chain hotel, but has the charm of staying in someone's home.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was clean and quiet.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great. I’ve stayed here multiple times for years. There have been a few upgrades, small motel, comfortable.
Cons: Price
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The lady at the front desk we met while checking in was very informative about the places around us to visit. She gave the best tips about getting tables at crowded nearby restaurant. She was very kind and welcoming.
Cons: Dirty Bed Sheets, Uncomfortable Bed, Towels were stained and Carpet was full of dust. Even spending a night there was a disaster. We wouldn't recommend booking it if you are looking for a clean place to stay
5.0 Okay
Pros: I liked the fact that it was very clean
Cons: Room small and very dated. View is the parking lot. I only live 45 miles away and just needed a room for one night on short notice. Okay for what I needed.
6.0 Good
Pros: Location was great. Although we parked at motel, then Uber'd back to Main Street. Highly recommend the Sunset Grill next door.
Cons: Not sure why it's called Inn and Suites. What we stayed in was definitely a Motel. Did not feel unsafe, but observed they use standard residential door knobs and deadbolts for the rooms. Parking is tight. Especially when the Grill is open.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great only 3/4 miles from Main street Downtown.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast. Room was exceptionally clean.
Cons: The pool area was right next to parking lot. No privacy between the two.
7.0 Good
Pros: Good location and clean
Cons: The only problem we had was with the handicap shower. There was only the shower curtain that kept the water from going on to the bathroom floor. So, lots of water splashed on the floor and we needed to use several towels to wipe up the water.
5.0 Okay
Cons: Not very clean, carpet dirty, smell like nursing home.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beds were comfortable and the breakfast was good! Lots of options and the hot selections were different on the 2 days we stayed!

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff
Cons: Easy parking. Clean and pleasant
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Location is good
Cons: Cleaning staff didn't pay attn to detail. First day they left the shampoo half used from the prior guest. Second day they didn't leave any. Third day, they left our room open, door was not shut. The coffee maker in our room had a puddle of what appeared to be mold. GROSS. Makes me wonder what the kitchen was like in the breakfast area. Our keys stopped working the night before we checked out. When we checked out, I asked if my loyalty number was on there and the manager said yes, but it clearly wasn't when the receipt was printed out. And you'd think if they were the manager, they'd ask how was your stay so they could do something about it but he clearly didn't really care.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice facilities Good value.
Cons: First booked for two nights. Wanted to extend one more night. This process was more difficult than necessary.
7.0 Good
Pros: The property changed from another owner, twice and now is a Comfort Inn, which was remodeled and smell ok, was clean with good beds, microwave and frig and wifi with free parking. The free breakfast is ok, nothing special except good orange juice.
Cons: The property is located against a busy road and the traffic sounds like it runs THROUGH YOUR ROOM, ALL NIGHT LONG. If you stay here make SURE your room is NOT numbered any higher than 10, or the noise will be like being on an AIRPLANE RUNWAY ALL NIGHT LONG. The higher your number, the louder it is. 20 is the highest number. So, on the second floor get room 200 to 210, DO NOT get room 220. The shower / toilet room does not have an exhaust fan. The toilet is round, not elongated and very short, I guess 15" off the floor. The free shampoo, soap and conditioner are cheap, bring your own. They are mixing in new towels as of 11-26-2019.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beds comfortable, extra pillows already provided. Decent continental breakfast.
Cons: There wasn't really anything not to like. If I had one thing, it was the free coffee packets in the room are very weak. Coffee downstairs better.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I was very impressed with my stay. Nothing bad to say at all. Location was great! Room was good! Staff was good! Complimentary breakfast was great! Bacon was excellent! I definitely recommend this hotel.

Pros: The restaurant is amazing - the osso buco paired with a creme brulee is a must have. Thank you Alex!
6.7 Good
Pros: The rooms were clean and pretty
Cons: The bed was way too hard and uncomfortable and it's too far from the tourist area of main street
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed was nice and stiff
Cons: A little over priced
6.0 Good
Cons: The main reason for less than stellar review is the shower. It was teeny tiny, smaller than what you’d get at a old motel 6, and no water pressure. The room was very clean and very nice and the bed was very nice, too.
7.0 Good
Pros: Room was a nice size. Decorated very well. The hotel only has 6 rooms. Restaurant and on site bar was very good.
Cons: Our bathroom had a terrible “sewer smell”, that would come and go throughout the night. Our friends stayed in the room nextdoor and it did not have the smell. Therefore, I believe it was a drain/sewer problem in our room. The bathroom looked very clean, but the smell was bad.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Comfortable bed.
Cons: Decor: Over-the-top and not my style. (As name indicates, it's a gemutlich Bavarian inn.) Pricey. These comments pertain to Room #1. Low water pressure in toilet. Sign telling me not to steal linens. Lots of chests and tables but only 1 chair and no desk. (I'm writing this standing over a chest of drawers.)

Cons: we were there on a Monday night and the only people checked in, It would have been fun to meet new people. Monday in Fredericksburg was also a bit disappointing, one restaurant we wanted to eat at is closed on mondays'. we will be back for a Thursday to sunday visit , when there will be pot luck on Thursday and music on Saturday.

2.0 Mediocre
Pros: The location was only thing we like about the property.
Cons: The Breakfast was horrible. The rooms are dated and old. The television was the size of a laptop computer. The outside grounds and landscaping was horrible. This is not a good place to stay first time in Fredericksburg.

Pros: It is very conveniently located to the Fredericksburg Main Street. The property is clean and well maintained.
