Located in New Town, this bed & breakfast is within a 10-minute walk of Charlotte Square, Princes Street Gardens, and Scott Monument. National Gallery of Scotland and Usher Hall are also within 15 minutes.
Great location run by great people.
Pros: Awesome central location place to stay run by extremely helpful and lovely people.
Kind of like a really great hostel
Pros: Each room has its own sleeping quarters and bathroom, which were very well maintained.
The area is very safe, and about a block from all the hubbub of New Town.
Cons: My email contained the wrong room number. I tried to open Room 10 which was behind the counter instead of Room 1 which was in front and on the keys I retrieved.
Maybe I would've felt a little better if I had seen someone, but there's no 24-hour reception here.
My plug converter, which I had just bought at a nearby shop (there are tons), blew out. Kids, try to avoid power strips. Just buy a couple of converters. So I had to borrow on the 5-day tour departing the next morning.
