Couldn’t fly since they wouldn’t issue a boarding ticket. Something to do with not taking the departing flight since it was cancelled due to weather. No notice or anything about the trip being invalid. The app made it seem like I was all good for it. Never trusting travel agency
2 hours delay on the 1st plane out of the day!!!!!
Delayed
Multiple delays, with no explanation. Caused us to almost miss our connector. The airline made no effort when we arrived in Shanghai to help us make it to our next flight with the same airline.
I will never fly through China again. Maybe it was the mandatory retinal scan just to transfer to another flight or the complete set of fingerprints they require. There are many better and inexpensive flights to Asia if you look.
Great flight great food
A lot of value considering the cheap ticket prices. All meals served were Chinese food. Would fly them again considering the ticket was half the price of any others
Pros: The food was great
Pros: Price
Cons: Hotel provided was ok but I expected more . The wait to get to the hotel was way too long and people at airport were not helpful. There was no clear instructions on where to wait, who we were to deal with . The directions were misleading.
Pros: The flight was smooth. Food was on time . Wine is available for the anxious flyers who can’t sleep.
Cons: Better softer hand soap , sprays and lotion . Sleep mask
Pros: No , blankets .
Cons: Cleaner restrooms, blankets and verbal offers
Cons: delay of about 1 hour, we almost missed our international flight from beigin
Pros: It was a terrible, long and very crowded flight.
Cons: The people/passengers. The whole flight felt like a budget airline. I am not looking forward to the return.
Pros: The seat was comfortable.
Cons: The service on board could have been better.
Pros: The crew was very attentive and most good English
Cons: The food could have been better and there could have been a better selection of movies.
Pros: Nice staff.
Cons: Although I've ordered vegan food about 3 months in advance, I have not been provided with a vegan meal and received cheese lasagne. Pretty sad on such a long distance flight.
Pros: On time departure, good leg room, and comfortable seats
Cons: food
Pros: Great crew in business class!
Cons: Wifi was terrible, entertainment is below average and angle seats for a 12 hour flight is sub par. The food was so so
Cons: Gate is crowded and no escalator only steps. No clear area for business class and its a fiasco boarding
Cons: Food is too salty, can’t even eat .
Pros: Dated entertainment on the inside televisions and some of the headphones and movies were hard to understand because of the audio quality. But the bottom line was I couldn’t find a cheaper flight for my trip and overall I look for savings and my airfare.
Cons: Customer service from the flight crew was pretty dry, my biggest complaint though was that there was very much stagnant air quality and no ventilation at HC location like I am normally a custom on most other planes.
Pros: Food.
Cons: Headphones were not provided.
Pros: My flight was canceled but the ground crew was amazing I was really worried but China Eastern's ticket people were very professional! Highly recommend.
Cons: The plane stopped at an airport between Shanghai and Kunming, which was not shown in iteneray. I got off at this airport thinking I arrived in Kunming. . I was told that I have to check in again at Kunming. When I tried to check in again, there was only one person in the entire airport checking in passengers and she spoke no English. We finally figured out what had happened and barely made it back to the plane before it departed for Kunming.
Cons: The flight to Shanghai was delayed and I missed the coincidence, the crew did not explain much, I was rerouted and I arrived with 13 hours delay
Cons: Layover was too long. The airline changed the flight schedules
Pros: Crew are good seat was a little small
Cons: WiFi never work and food was salty
Pros: Crews are amazing but the set is a little too tight.
Cons: WiFi never work and food was bad everything is salty.
Pros: We had nice reclining seat, I was able to sleep comfortably.
Cons: They ran out of some of the food so we had less options. The main dish was ok but the side salad was wilted and did not look fresh.
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Worst airline
