Staff was very helpful and professional. My experience was exceptional. Everything met expectations.
I thought the breakfast was nice, and the beds were comfortable. I had to ask to switch my room twice as I found the rooms depressing and not light or big enough. The room temperature was very cold and I had to ask for a space heater. I found some concierges helpful; others not. The food in their restaurant was not good and I had an issue with something I ordered. I also wished they had made laundry service available. The lobby is very cold and shuts down early, and there is no where to have a drink, read and relax. The bathroom smelled very funny, and I could not get them to fix this. I also received no offer of help with my luggage when I called down to say I was checking out. Overall, this hotel needs updating and to be much more cozy, light and guest friendly. There is a lot they could do to improve.
Near the center;the kindness of the staff;price worth
Location of your hotel is always key when traveling. this had an excellent location near the Grand Place and a short walk to the tour office which was the meeting point for all our tours. The rooms were not really cleaned properly. Trash was taken out but quite a number of trash was left strewn on the floor in both the room and bathroom. Large trash items like empty water bottles were left behind as well as kleenex. This happened twice. Also toiletries were not replenished properly. Bad cleaning service for sure. Toilet was separate from the bathroom which is odd so there was no water within reach. Wifi was not working in the room until I checked if it was included in the package and they fixed it but not after several attempts. The food in the restaurants downstairs were also too expensive. Not really commensurate with the prices outside where there were many restaurants.
The hotel is located right in the middle of all the touristy sights you want to see in the grand place. The staff is great they speak English and 7 other different languages. The rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable. What I didn't like was that breakfast was not included and the city tax you have to paid at the end of your stay. City tax is about 4.75 euros per day.
Very convenient and provided what I needed (for a short business trip). Breakfast was a bit so-so, considering the cost.
the hotel is new! everything is so nice prepared. The wash room, the bed sheet are all very clearn. The room is big.The Location is excellent. But travellers must make sure you come out from the correct tram/train stop. If you come out from the correct one, you find the hote is just in front you. We came out from the trian station main exis, returns out we walked a big round to get to the hotel. if you are not sure how to go there, make sure you check the google map or call the hotel when you get off your train. if breakfast is included in 99 Euro would be great!
Great room and bed plus very friendly staff A hard street/location to find but well worth the effort
Free wifi, cleanliness, allowance of late check out, location Slow wifi, water pressure in shower
Nice design and location Couldn't sleep because of poor noise isolation of room over street
The front desk Ahmed was excellent. We had a room with beautiful view.
location was good, staff was nice the room was horrible. awkwardly placed in a dark corner next to the service elevator and stairs. a lot of noise of staff moving stuff, walking up and down the stairs at night and early morning. definitely not what I expected from this hotel which seemed nice from the pictures. I felt cheated and very disappointed. If there was a way to request some kind of refund or compensation, I would.
Great location, you could take the train from Midi Station to here for free with your train ticket. Big rooms, comfortable beds, and late check out (2pm) if you're Hilton Rewards member. Great stay in Brussels!
Once the issue of our lousy bed was raised the first morning they gave us a decent room and bed immediately. Our next 2 x nights in this hotel were fine. The bed in 329 sagged unbelievely badly in the middle and left us both a wreck by morning.
Great location. Helpful and friendly staff. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The only negative is breakfast is not included. One can choose to pay €27 per person, a hefty price for eggs & toast.
The comfortable bed, the nespresso machine, the location, the kind staff, We had a bathroom with the shower in the middle of the room, so that the whole room was flooded after the shower. The view of our room showed on the restaurant, we would have preferred another view.
Hotel was right in the middle of everything you would want to see. Taxis out front and all tourist sights like royal palace and statues are around the corner.
excellent location discounted weekend room for single use turned out to be on top floor with no lift and no view of the garden - fair value, but not the great bargain it first seemed.
Location and price, perfectly adequate Noise from hall, some maintenance issues in room
--> TLDR? This hotel was a nightmare because of: - No working water for 2 days without notice! - Rude and unprofessional staff (arguing in the hall for 40 minutes) - The worst water pressure - Ladies - Bathroom was completely unusable to do hair/makeup (lighting, no plugs, no mirrors outside the bathroom) Oh and that "open bar" they call out? You have to pay for anything you get from it. They like to be purposefully deceiving here. After a 8 hours of travel, sweaty and tired, we arrived at NH Brussels Grand Place. At the counter was a notice saying that there would be no water service (no showers, no use of toilets, no use of sinks) until the evening. News to us. I asked why we were not notified that there was maintenance on the water - if we had been emailed, I would have showered before leaving in the morning. It was a huge inconvenience that now I had to either sit in the room for hours waiting for the water to come on, wasting our precious little time in Brussels, or hit the town with hair that hadn't been washed in 2 days, and generally just feeling disgusting. Without apologizing, she said they found out about it this morning and there was nothing she could do. We came down later and asked for a manager. He wasn't in. We were upset that we had no warning about the water and were treated without empathy by the concierge. We were told by another unapologetic employee at the front desk that this is planned maintenance that happens at the start of the year to clean the water. So...you didn't know it was happening to give advanced notice but it's planned maintenance that happens this time every year? Alright then. The next morning we're awoken at 8am by a woman loudly cleaning out all the rooms in the hall. Bit early? Fine. Then we hear more commotion - the woman, along with what sounds like the manager, are loudly arguing in the hall. We can hear it all the way from the bed, as it's a heated argument. This lasts 30-40 minutes. I get up and see that there's a slip of paper under my door. I pick it up and realize it's identical to the notice we saw yesterday, just with changed dates. Yes - the water will be off again from 10:30am to 5:30pm. It is now just after 9am - thankfully we didn't sleep in and miss our ability to shower again!! Yet again, we get no notice that we need to get up at 9am or earlier to get a shower again. Good thing we had a full day planned and weren't reliant on using the toilet in the hotel during the day. I take a shower (while I still can), and it's seriously a joke. The water dribbles from the shower head, barely allowing me to fully rinse the shampoo from my hair. I towel off and pick up the hotel-provided hair dryer. It's weak, but it will do. One minute later, the dryer overheats and is rendered unusable. Luckily, I have a travel dryer. I see there are no outlets in nor around the bathroom. Typical Europe. I go out into the bed area and realize the *only* mirrors are in the bathroom. I'm forced to use my faint reflection in the tv as a mirror. That done, I go back into the bathroom to do my makeup. I look at myself in the mirror and see that the lighting is so poorly laid out, it makes it nearly impossible to see what you're doing. There are no front facing lights, just an led that is behind you as you get up close to the mirror to apply makeup, making you look like the monster in a horror film. Clearly a woman had no hand in its design.
