The SPA -- very relaxing There were no one minding the business center -- had to go bother the front desk to print out broading pass
Great location for night life especially if you are in your 20's or early 30's very inexperienced staff. Walking distance to good shopping and restaurants. Rooms too dark.
Located 1 block from Plaza de Bolivar in Candeleria; very good breakfast, room small but great shower and comfortable bed; excellent on-site Restaurant for dinner. Lots of stairs (1/2 flight from main floors to rooms), area is essentially dead at night - restaurants within walking distance nonexistent.
It has a very warm feeling to it. The staff is amazing. The hot water and pressure, however I did read the reviews and knew that before I checked in.
Evevrything. Best staff ever. No
Very quaint hotel in the Colonial part of Bogota. Good access to Montserrat, Gold Museum (Colombian History) and other interesting sites. Very clean, good breakfast and of course awesome coffee. My wife and I enjoyed this hotel and will definitely return. Not really. I requested an upgrade in an email and I was not aware that I received it until I arrived. I also was not told of the price of the upgrade but the price was very fair and I was pleased with the upgrade.
The neighborhood is the best. If this is your price range don't stay in the sterile North suburbs. Checkout took about 30 minutes. If you have a 9a flight you need to be *in* a cab by 520a. Be sure to budget your time accordingly.
The lovely breakfast with live music, quality of the room and helpfulness of the staff Shower was not very hot or strong
Location is great, best in Candelaria. Rooms were perfect, service was great and water was the hottest I found in Columbia. Works as a perfect location for either a business person, or a traveler looking to upgrade for a few days. Nothing not to like.
close to museums Internal noise necessitated earplugs and visible high level of security made me wary
The house is very pretty, well-kept and well located near downtown. Breakfast is delicious and abundant, included with your stay. The staff really cares and makes you feel welcome. The neighborhood is the oldest one in Bogota and it really needs restoration; it is used in the present to host students, since the University is located there. The streets are less than clean, and there's too much noise since there are student-oriented bars and restaurants all over the place (the hotel even supplies with earplugs in your bedroom). There's no elevator and the rooms with the best view are the 3rd and 4th floor (old house dimension in height) that makes quite a few steps that can be heavy for some people.
The courtesy of the staff, the nice ambience and breakfast with live music Noise is an issue for light sleepers. If street noise was lower, the hotel would be perfect.
