Cons: *Room didn't smell fresh, in fact, it smelled musky, with a damp, slight urine odor. * Maids did not clean our room, which was disappointing, especially since they looked directly at us when we left, which was BEFORE 12:00PM. (Staff made excuses for possible reasons why.) * Although we booked and prepaid online, the front desk manager took a swipe of our credit card for possible "incidental charges" when we checked in. Upon checkout we had NO additional charges but were denied a receipt of proof, when we asked for a cleared account statement. * The sheets DID NOT seem to be really fresh!

Pros: We were a little worried that we couldn't choose our room/bed type before arriving, but we ended up in a nice spacious room with a king bed that we really enjoyed. Microwave and fridge in the room were very helpful. Heard good things about the breakfast, although we didn't try it ourselves. Hotel staff was friendly.
Cons: There were a few issues with the room (the drapes were ripped, the coffee pot didn't work, and the shower door was stuck and wouldn't slide) and they did not fix anything. For such a nice spacious room the shower was a disappointment - small, no tub, and the floor was yellowed and unappealing. The pool hours were a little restrictive, we would have happily gone down for a quick dip in the pool or spa after close (11 p.m.)

Pros: The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We loved that we only had to hop on the shuttle and we were at Colonial Wiliamsburg in minutes. Even though meals and activities are an additional cost it has a bit of the feel of an all inclusive as once you park you don't have to get in your car again until it is time to go. Will come back in the summer when the kids can enjoy the pool and spray pad.

Pros: I like the ability to be staying at one location that allowed the family to do things within that location. This was a plus because when the children got board, we could go to the game room, swimming pool, mini golf course. The space in the rooms were excellent as well. Separate rooms and bathrooms accommodated the large family with ease.

Pros: The location was close to Busch Gardens and the pool was great.
Cons: The sink was clogged up and when they unclogged it it made the room smell terrible! The housekeeping was a bit lacking as well. The room didn't get cleaned till close to 3 p.m. and the sheets weren't even changed! Not to mention the king size bed looked like it had queen size sheets and comforter on it. We left two days earlier than planned. The staff appeared a bit snobby as well. I will never stay in this hotel again. I would prefer to sleep in a tent!

Pros: The overall setting of the resort is beautifully surrounded by the river and green, the low rise housing helped preserve the scenery from every angle. We stayed there during the Thanksgiving weekend with our grade schooler sharing a king size bed comfortably on the first floor. The room is sized a typical hotel room with a patio facing a pond, which I enjoyed the most. The closet was unusually larger, you can fit 2 suitcases in there. The amenity is normal, that's why I did not rate it 'luxurious' but it's clean and sufficient with body wash, shampoo and conditioning;, the interior design of the bathroom is on the high end than other typical Hilton or Marriott, but is sized smaller than I would have liked. Each room has a Kerug with 6 pods and they fill it up everyday. No problem getting on wifi. The shuttle service is excellent - we used it exclusively to travel between Busch Garden and the resort - the shuttle also take you directly to your building if requested, they really eager to take around the resort. indoor pool is smaller than I would have liked but there were 20+ kids there so it felt crowded. But the changing area is on the high end side, very clean, plenty of towel supply, whirlpool, steam room, sauna included. Every staff we encounter are very friendly. Buffet breakfast in Element 1010 and lunch at Eagle restaurant, both of which were good experiences. Everything worked out really well. It is priced a bit higher than others in the area but i feel that I get what I paid for, it's worth the value. We definitely will go back in the summer and possibly in Nov/December again.

Pros: The landscaping and setting are truly one of a kind. The staff is all very friendly, from the house-cleaners to the concierge service. The on site restaurants, especially the one at the marina, are top shelf. Truly some of the best food we have ever eaten.

Pros: Attractive comfortable accommodations. Loved being able to spread out and relax without having to sit on the bed. Especially appreciate a space where I can get up early and let my husband sleep in. Friendly staff. Great value for the price. Will definitely stay there again.

Pros: Affordable, in a safe area. Staff was friendly and responsive to requests. Breakfast was decent. A good option when the higher end hotel chains jack up prices over the weekend. Large indoor pool.
Cons: Carpet was old and worn down. Needed to be vacuumed under the beds. Description was misleading, said "1 BR with a pullout sofa. " definitely expected an actual separated BR, not the case.

Pros: The coffee and breakfast were good.
Cons: The employees at the front desk were incredibly rude. When we checked in, one of our sheets was dirty and when we called the front desk about it, the woman working told us we could come get a new sheet if we wanted to, but didn't offer to come re-make the bed for us. The mattresses are extremely hard and uncomfortable. The fitness center was very limited and two of the machines didn't work at all.

Pros: The only characteristic that I found enjoyable of the place was when I was not staying there. It is located within a reasonable distance to Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg.
Cons: Where to begin? The key cards de-magnetized at the slightest handling. The beds were so terrible that I actually slept on the floor. I could feel every spring in their crappy mattresses and could not get a wink of sleep. The ceiling of our room looked like there had been multiple water damage instances involving a leaky roof. The room smelled musty. It was only one step above "Crack den". The breakfast was terrible. The eggs were probably powdered and tasted worse than the eggs they serve in the Navy (and in prisons). The potatoes tasted like cardboard. They should just skip those and stick to toast and bacon. The cost of this room was $285 (including tax). When I pay that much money for two nights, I expect to at least enjoy my bed. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE except a crackhead.

Cons: Breakfast could use improvement - Eggs tasted fake and weird toasters took way too long - 2 rounds and English muffin was still barely warm, not dark at all seating for breakfast - chairs too big, bulky and heavy. almost impossible for person sitting against the wall to get out. chairs in guest room were very uncomfortable.

Cons: Booked the room through Kayak via Priceline. Upon check-in we were told we could pull our car in directly in front of our room. We couldn't as the spaces were marked handicapped parking. That wasn't a problem. The room smelled musty from nonuse. The room was handicap accessible, which we didn't request. There was an intermittent problem with the television reception the whole stay. On Sunday morning at 7:30 there was a worker directly outside our door running a power saw as the room is situated next to the hotel workshop. We feel we were given this seldom used room because we used Kayak for discounted pricing. If this is how the Days Inn treats the handicapped, shame on them.

Cons: We were disappointed because pools were not well maintained and this was a main reason we chose this hotel for our family. Rooms were in need of better cleaning and updating, especially in bathrooms. Our room had a bright red stain on the carpet.

Pros: The best part about the stay was the friendly staff. The room was comfortable but the tub was a little dirty and there was hair in the drain not made us.
Cons: The worst part about our stay was where the breakfast room was located. It was right next to the indoor pool which meant you had to walk outside the hotel and then through the indoor pool area. The pool area was humid and the floor was wet and slippery. There was no other way to get there unless you walked all the way around the pool to the other side. Either way you had to go outside to get there and it was cold.

Cons: The ac in the room wasn't working properly and the room took 4 hours to cool down. The whole hotel was dimly lit and wall paper was falling off all around. The bathroom was okay but didn't look completely clean. The room and hotel also didn't have a clean smell. When. We arrived there was nobody at the front desk, 10 minutes later someone appeared. We also caller the front desk a couple times and sometimes there was no answer. The towels were also scratchy and hard.
