Pros (+) I especially loved the family feel and the friendly staff. There were lots of staff around and everyone was kind, helpful and very friendly. I felt so comfortable and safe. Also, everything was incredibly clean, towels, sheets, bathroom - everything!
Cons (-) The motel part was a bit old and lacked shades and towel racks. But still all was comfortable and clean.
Pros (+) Granted, it was the only room left in town, the inn is picture perfect from the outside and a great location in town. The staff was a little scary with too many piercings. Had to wait for the room. The bath room was clean but the bed covers were really old and stained. Hard wood floors but no rug. Pros (+) It is a locally owned hotel and old. But the people are wonderful and food is amazingood. They have a beautiful sitting area in the main house. If I were to go to stowe again I would happily stay there again.
Cons (-) The tight covers by the bed, they were stringy and old. Because the rooms are old there is still I slight smell of smoke from all the years ago it was aloud, but it's not bad.

Cons (-) Staff wasn't very friendly or accommodating. Rooms are out dated. When checking in we were told $4 for breakfast. The next morning it was $5, and they were out of everything besides watermelon and coffee. We were there at 7:30 am!
Pros (+) Very casual and easy to stay independent. Not fancy or stuffy.
Cons (-) Rooms are outdated with old furniture and bathroom fixtures. Continental breakfast was very basic, though an excellent fruit bowl.

Pros (+) The main building is gorgeous, and loaded with antiques The bar is awesome, with a very friendly bartender The staff is top-notch, friendly, helpful, and eager to please Would stay again in the main building (sans dog)
Cons (-) The carriage house, (not the main building,) is run down You have to stay in the carriage house if you bring a dog Won't stay again in the carriage house
