Pros: The staff and accommodations were amazing. This hotel thinks of everything down to the hospitality baskets that are in your room at check in. Everything your heart would desire! There is a full kitchen but who has to cook with all the extras they supply throughout your day. What hotel has corona's and a nacho bar at 2 in the afternoon not to mention the hot pies served sharply at 8. Can't wait till we come back!!
Pros: Loved all of the extras!
Pros: Great staff and little extras that add up to great experience

Pros: Through Kayak the Appke Farm rooms are in the Trellis Court (vs "main" hotel), so there were less amenities in the rooms... that said, the rooms were head-and-shoulders above any other hotel we've ever stayed at. Love this hotel, the restaurant & shop.
Pros: I liked the look and layout of the Inn. The hotel and rooms were beautifully decorated. The beds were comfortable and the complimentary items were a nice touch. Most of the staff members were friendly and polite, too!
Cons: Now and then, some of the staff members did not acknowledge the customers.
Pros: First off, cookies daily-enough said! Clean rooms with charming atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Ate at the restaurant for breakfast, food was very good. Boysenberry preserves tasted delicious atop their pecan raisin scone. Suggest giving it a try. Complimentary transportation from airport or train station was very helpful considering the price surge x 5 from Uber. Hotel was in a great location near town. Highly recommend!
Pros: Convenient to highway, not far from airport. restaurant on premises although too pricey for what it had to offer, wine by glass very limited selection and not good!
Cons: See above
Pros: Starting with the friendly staff we enjoyed every aspect of our stay. We had a comfortable room and the location was perfect (right between town and Cal Poly campus). No complaints.

Pros: I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the San Luis Creek Lodge! The staff were friendly, and the room was super cute!
Pros: Location and price were great for the area. Breakfast was better than average continental option
Cons: Breakfast was only served 730-930.. Traveling for business, so breakfast at 6 or 7 is much better.
Pros: The rooms were beautifully decorated. .. felt very at home . Super quiet and relaxing. Waffles and eggs cooked to order for breakfast with bananas in top was so good .

Pros: Very large room. Could have fit entire family
Cons: More of a Motel than a Hotel as it had an exterior door.
Pros: lol cation was convenient and staff was very friendly
Cons: Bed was extremely uncomfortable. Older hotel. Could use upgrading. I would not have ranked it a 3 star.
Pros: True two room suites. Good breakfast in the morning included. Evening reception and barbeque as well.
Cons: The soap.
Pros: The location, quiet convenience, and the food/ drinks gratis.
Pros: Free drinks during 5-7pm every night They also served food reasonably priced right off the BBQ grill . The pool area was nice with heated lamps to keep you warm
Pros: Every room is a suite. Extremely clean and well cared for! The free beer/wine and BBQ are great. Super value for what they offer. SLO is one of the best places on earth. Great stay!
Cons: No. Everything was great!
Pros: The mgmt reception.
Cons: The web site said the hotel was 'pet friendly' but management said it was not-
Pros: Proximity to downtown & breakfast
Pros: Rooms & breakfast

Pros: The room was comfortable, well laid out, and immaculate. The hotel is located in the heart of downtown and close to the University where I had meetings. I ate dinner at the Bistro and the food was fabulous. Our server was amazing and described the dishes perfectly. Delicious meal!! Overall the hotel is beautiful. I do plan to return.
Cons: Please know that the front desk staff is kind and friendly. However, while escorted to my room no one offered to assist me with my bags. I wasn't aware there was no lift and would have to negotiate stairways. My room was up a flight of stairs and with back problems carrying my heavy suitcase can be tricky. It's a bit embarrassing for me to ask for help with what may seem a not too heavy bag for most people. I had to pause and ask for help. Would have been a nice gesture for the front desk to ask if I needed assistance with my bags. Small detail but an important one for future guests.
Located 3.4 mi (5.4 km) from the airport, Granada Hotel & Bistro features a rooftop terrace and puts you just a 5-minute drive from Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa. Guests indulge in spa services, then grab a bite to eat at the restaurant. Pros: Fun, themed rooms, great pool area & overall vibe
Pros: Everywhere you look you find amazement at the decor Fun and entertaining. The staff are most accommodating! Great getaway!
Pros: Nothing worth mentioning.
Cons: Almost non existence service, rude staffs other than the couple at the registration counter. The room has no curtains or shades, except stained glass window. The lights are so bright outside, making it impossible to sleep at night! The heater in the room is extremely loud. The place is so poorly insulated and drafty, that you don't have any choice but to turn it on in winter. This place is a over priced motel coated in pink.
Pros: There are li me 200+ rooms to stay in and each one has a different theme to them! The foods is great and the overall feel of this place is comfort! The staff were very nice and helpful.
Cons: The breakfast was a little burnt but that is the first time eating breakfast there...I just hope it was a fluke!
Pros: Exceptional spa service by Melissa and an overall state of mind that is total relaxation.
Absolutely loved it.
Cons: Nothing to dislike
Pros: Unique character , nice location, friendly staff..
Having Mount Madonna so close by to be able to hike or jog up in the morning was great. Also very nice pool area. Restaurant and café very good. All in all a good value.
Cons: A little dated
Madonna Inn is set on a 1,000-acre estate on Highway 101, an easy drive from many Central Coast wineries. Guests can reach Avila Beach in 15 minutes by car, and historic San Luis Obispo is 5 miles away. The hotel offers free daytime shuttle services to the airport, train, and bus stations.
Pros: Booked a night here at the last minute. My partner and I were looking for a respite after camping in the desert. The room was clean and updated. The bed was pretty comfortable even without the comparison to camping. We had a balcony with a view of the pool.
Cons: The staff was friendly, but definitely seemed a bit inexperienced. This is a minor flaw because checking in only was extended a few minutes because the concierge had never processed a reservation via a third party.
Pros: Room was good, bar open till 10pm, has everything one needs for a nice stay while in town for other events.
Cons: Busy weekend so the price was steep.
Pros: The breakfast option - food was good, and menu selection has a lot of options.
Cons: The cooler to control the room temperature. While it was nice to have the thermostat to control the air, I was very difficult to make the room temperature comfortable. One degree lower in temperature made the room freezing, while one degree higher made the room hot and stuffy.
Pros: Our stay was amazing! Great breakfast which included an omelette station was included in our rate. Our room was extremely spacious and we were greeted with bottled water at check in. Staff was extremely friendly and courteous. Stacy and team even provided a mini snack basket in honor of my husband's birthday. After finding out that we were extremely sore from an ATV trip, they allowed us to soak in the hot tub after hours. The restaurant staff even went as far as to provide us with free winery passes. Again, our stay was perfect!! We are already planning our trip back to this location.
Pros: We were able to make a reservation through Kayak when most other hotels were already booked for the 4th of July.
Cons: Pretty much one of the most disappointing stays we've ever experienced. The room smelled musty, the room was super overpriced due to the holiday, the staff was unpleasant, continental breakfast was not included, the room was small and had an awkward setup. This hotel was unlike my past Marriott stays at other locations.

Pros: Clean and comfortable rooms. Basically fine.
Cons: Can hear the freeway from your room. Parking spaces are oddly small in size and number. Bathtub drained slowly so that you are standing in water by the end of the shower. Seemed a little understaffed.
Pros: Location is everything - easy walking distance to downtown.
Cons: Close to downtown, but it is a hike.
Pros: The room was very nice and very clean. Our room had a sink and mirror in the bathroom as well as outside - makes it easier getting ready.
Cons: Our room was right next to the parking lot - woke up at 7am to someones car alarm going off. It was very loud despite a wall barrier.
Pros: Clean, comfortable, very conveniently located. Courteous and helpful staff.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind.

Pros: Other than loud neighbor it was s berry comfortable stay. Will stay there again.
Pros: Clean bathrooms, great staff!
Pros: was clean, quiet, convenient location, nice staff
Cons: breakfast was free but not very good.
Pros: This basic room provided comfortable beds, a clean room and bathroom, a good breakfast, and updated furniture and electronics. Plenty of outlets. Couldn't hear anything from adjacent rooms.
Cons: We just needed a place to rest during our road trip and this place was by far the most expensive we stayed at. If you have to make a last minute reservation be prepared to pay at least a 50% hike up.
Pros: Price and all other aspects of the hotel were good. Nothing fancy, but the hotel satisfied what I wanted for this trip.
Cons: Wine and cheese benefit could be improved or dropped, minimal effort was done on the cheap.
Pros: Extremely helpful staff
Pros: The hotel was comfortable, the room clean, well arranged with an excellent bed; something we've had every time we stayed at a Great Western. Decent price. Good, helpful staff. We'll use this chain as our default hotel.
Pros: My room was clean, quiet and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was very helpful and polite. The hotel is in a great location, close to SLO, shopping and the beach areas. I would stay again.
Pros: walking distance to cerro (the big mountain in town) trails.
Cons: Far from the downtown corridor. , you have to drive or bike into town.
Enjoy everything San Luis Obispo has to offer during your stay at the Best Western Plus Royal Oak Hotel. For those searching for sand and surf, our beaches are minutes away. Within the area are the Farmer's Market, the quaint shops and galleries, several great golf courses, and our local wineries will delight your palate. Laguna Lake Park and two shopping malls are conveniently located within walking distance. Enjoy your stay.
Cons: Exterior building and hall way need to update make them new.
Pros: I had a relaxing time in Sycamore Springs. My boyfriend & I spent a few days & even had a romantic candlelit dinner at the hotel restaurant. We really enjoyed the convenience of our very own hot tub.
Cons: The decor in the rooms was outdated, and I saw some stains in the bathroom when we arrived.
Pros: Hot springs water
Cons: No baby crib available
No additional movable bed.
No breakfast included with expensive room price (over $300)
dirty and old room and deck, jaccuzi
No matches or lighters.
Not very friendly staffs.
We were disappointed with this resort. NOTHING GOOD
Pros: The gardens by the road. That whole area was beautiful. I liked my own hot tub. Comfy beds. The bridge to the bike path was awesome. The employees were very nice. The front area and gift shop were beautiful.
Cons: A bit run down and stained (bathroom, table in room, old chair at hot tub). Put some hooks on the walls and people will be more inclined to reuse their towels and not throw them on the floor. Also, it was loud and creaky because of the old building. We were below in "Harmony" and when the people above us walked, it was very loud. And it was very dark to enter the hallway and get to our room...kinda ghetto. Also, it would've been nice to know ahead of time how steep the hillside was with inadequate parking (I am temporarily handicapped, post surgery.), and how strong the sulfur smell would be with the hot tub. Plus, they are really NOT hot tubs...that stay hot. They are just large tubs. You have to fill them to use them every time. Clarity on all that would've been so much better.
Pros: We enjoyed the feeling if privacy.
Cons: The 11am check out felt rushed and not up to the relaxed vibe standards.
At Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa. You can visit the spa to indulge in deep-tissue massages, body wraps, or hydrotherapy, and local cuisine is served at The Gardens of Avila, which is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. An outdoor pool and a health club are other highlights, and rooms offer balconies or patios and flat-screen TVs.
Pros: Way way overpriced kayakshiuld have offered better alternatives in the area
Cons: Hands down the highest priced holiday inn I have ever stayed at
Pros: The room was perfect for us. Clean , nice design, felt newly updated , nice countertop in bathroom too. The breakfast in the morning is included in the room cost and was better than expected. Lots of options . They have a pancake machine that pops out yummy pancakes in one minute. Will definitely refer friends and be back myself
Cons: Only bad thing was our room was very bright in the morning and there were no curtains that actually closed , only decorative.
Pros: Loved the staff and the location was perfect
Cons: The elevators need a bit of tuning, but over all great hotel

Pros: The Inn is centrally located to Downtown San Luis Obispo. You can walk to everything ( which is important, unless you want a $33 parking ticket, which I received on my way out of town ☹️).
Cons: The Inn is VERY basic- but it was the cheapest I could find in San Luis Obispo. There are no facilities.
Pros: Access to walking to all areas downtown. Easy access in parking. Quiet.
Pros: My friends and I stayed at the Avenue Inn after driving through Big Sur. We arrived after 10 pm and were greeted by Saul, who showed us to our room and gave some excellent dinner recommendations for late at night. The room was in great condition (newly renovated) and very comfortable for 4 adults to sleep in. Saul helped us in the morning by providing additional towels and helped with checkout as well. Overall we were very happy!
Cons: Nothing - 100% would stay here again.
Pros: Smallish room, but it was quiet, clean and comfy.
Pros: close to everything
Cons: the breakfast
Pros: Great service, location, beds and showers!
Avenue Inn Downtown San Luis Obispo puts you just 3.5 mi (5.7 km) from the airport and a 5-minute drive from Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa. Free perks include WiFi, self parking, and continental breakfast available daily. Rooms feature conveniences like refrigerators and microwaves.
Pros: This inn is very well kept and the staff was very courteous and attentive to our needs. The structure is older but there were obvious upgrades to keep the place in good condition as well as to help conserve resources and energy. All linens were fresh and good quality.
Cons: The bed, although in good condition was a little too firm for my taste.
Pros: I thought it was a great value, the room was very clean and in a good location. I would highly recommend and stay again!
Cons: Old fashion key lock
Pros: Staff was helpful and bed was comfortable. Nice and quiet location, easy to get to and not too far from downtown.
Cons: There were some spiders hanging out in the bathroom when I got there. Didn't see any in the main room thankfully.
Peach Tree Inn puts you just 4.3 mi (6.9 km) from the airport and a 5-minute drive from Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa. Free perks include WiFi, self parking, and continental breakfast daily between 7 AM and 10 AM.
Pros: The room was neat and clean as was the bathroom. The location was far enough from downtown so the traffic wasn't a problem. The staff was helpful. I wish I had known there two stories and I would have chosen a room on the ground level.
Cons: The tv didn't work and had to be worked on by the staff three times. They were quick and efficient though.
Pros: Exceptionally friendly staff and warm cookies at the front desk! They do the best that they can with an aging facility.
Pros: From check in to check out the stay was great. Exceptionally friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds, great location.
Cons: It was perfect for what we needed.
Pros: Decor is a little dated but the room was spotless and the staff was super nice!
Pros: We were very pleased with the overall appearance and cleanliness of this hotel. It is very comfortable and attractive. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool area, and the deck, table, and chairs made it wonderful to hang out there. The website did not advertise a jacuzzi, so we were pleasantly surprised to find they had one...until we got in and realized it is barely heated. We were mildly disappointed because we like a hot jacuzzi, but it was heated more than the pool and was still comfortable with the jets.
Cons: Two problems: The jacuzzi wasn't heated to jacuzzi-temperature. Also, the wi-fi would cut in and out on us, which was a small problem.
Pros: The Sands Inn is just off the PCH exist, right next to the gas station. The staff was friendly and there were free cookies at the check-in counter. Our room was clean; the beds were comfortable and the bathroom pleasant. The free breakfast was tasty, especially the waffles. This place even included wifi, though the speeds were fairly slow.
Overall, I found the place to be a positive experience, though ear plugs are recommended if you would like uninterrupted sleep.
Cons: The walls are rather thin and car alarms went off during the night, interrupting our sleep. The wifi was so slow that I used my phone for internet access instead.
Pros: Flat screen tv
Cons: When booking, I read that this hotel had bathtubs, it did not.
Pros: The price for what you get was awesome. Needed a place to stay while traveling from SF to LA. This place was clean, well maintained and the stuff was great.
Cons: Breakfast was free but nothing special. Wish they had more options and fresher eggs and sausage.
Pros: Comfortable bed, room was really clean.
Cons: Strong soap/disinfectant smell made breathing difficult. In room refrigerator rumbled pretty much the entire night. Between the two I didn't get much sleep.
Pros: Hotel was located close to Cal Poly and not too far from downtown. Our room felt small for a family of 5 (two queens). Breakfast was good, coffee was great.
Cons: Stuffy room and small. Parking is tight for an SUV. Back of hotel looked unkept.
Pros: The staff was very helpful, outside was clean, family friendly, and close to stores, etc. Pet friendly
Cons: Rooms aren't the nicest, bed was uncomfortable. We ended up changing hotels. expected more from pics.
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: There was used dental floss in the bathroom and hair in the refrigerator.

Cons: The room didn't look like the photos at all. Not the best quality for the money
Pros: Room cleaning crew did excellent job
Cons: Breakfast can be better
Pros: Good location. Easy access to fwy and town. Restaurants within walking distance. Free wifi worked well. Staff friendly and helpful.
Cons: Lounge chairs in the room were showing their age. The leather on the arms was wearing off. Room could use some updating. .
Pros: I loved how close to downtown San Luis Obipso it was, as well as how it was secluded - made for a more private and romantic feel!
Cons: I didn't like that it was right off the freeway. My boyfriend and I got a corner room on the second floor, which was lovely, but in the morning it was pretty noisy with the highway right outside our back door.
Pros: My room was clean, quiet, roomy, and the bed was comfy.
Pros: Location, location, location. Luckily, that is what really mattered for this trip. Pool was nice for a dip, jacuzzi great for relaxing. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate available all the time.
Cons: We needed two queen beds, and they would only upgrade us to a suite(in a separate building), at a higher rate. The suite was dated, holes in the walls, it had a sink, microwave that had trouble working and a small fridge. THERE WERE NO DISHES, GLASSES, UTENSILS, PLATES, CUPS....and when we asked for a cork screw or bottle opener they didn't have one for us to borrow. The sink in the bathroom backed up the entire time, the light in the bathroom was so dim you you couldn't see anything.
Pros: good location close to University and good restruants
Cons: There was a group of high school students in the facility . They were in the rooms right above my wife an me. They kept us up all night and the Management did nothing to keep them quiet or resolve the issues. My wife and I got no sleep all night long!!!!!!!
Pros: Central location
Cons: Staff was very very rude. Worked on getting a refund, left a note for manager and voicemail for a call back. Never got a call back. Was told by front staff to call back between 3-11pm. Called at 8pm on a Friday. Manager left early. Will not be returning.
Lexington Inn San Luis Obispo puts you 4.3 mi (7 km) from the airport and within a 10-minute drive of Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa. Guests can splash around at the outdoor pool or grab a bite to eat at the restaurant. There's a spa tub, and rooms offer kitchenettes and microwaves.
Pros: Extremely friendly and helpful staff! Also rooms are impressive as are the amenities the hotel offers (included cocktail hour and excellent made-to-order breakfast included!)
Pros: - breakfast
- free happy hour
Cons: - AC didn't work
- was given a queen instead of king room
- was charged the wrong rate (booking.com rate was $200/nt, theirs was $290)
- front desk didn't care that the AC didn't work or that I was given the wrong room, instead told me to book through their site and not booking.com, had to spend 15m getting them to agree on the originally booked price
Cons: The hotel was under construction & I was not advised prior to my stay
Pros: large rooms, suite hotel which is great for families
complimentary breakfast and reception
staff friendly and helpful
Cons: hotel is looking a bit dumpy in terms of cleanliness
carpets were dirty and very worn
overall interior was dark and needs freshening up
first time i've stayed in the hotel where i've had to call housekeeping for cleaning/service
Cons: Carpets seemed to be worn in lounge area
Cons: Noisy room
Pros: Breakfast and happy hour were great
Cons: The air conditioner was poor, carpets were dirty
Cons: Why I booked the room, the site said WiFi access for free. But the hotel said there was fee and usually website other than theirs do not give correct info. I argued with them finally they gave me the access for free. Not a good experience.
Very old hotel.
The hotel is within a 20-minute drive of dozens of wineries in the surrounding hills. Golfers can choose between 7 top courses, and shoppers need only walk a couple of minutes to 2 neighboring malls. The nearby resort town of Avila Beach is a great place to see the sun set over the Pacific.
Pros: Had everything we needed, including a good AC unit.
Cons: Demand makes what is a motel cost as much as a hotel in SLO.
Inn at San Luis Obispo puts you just 4.2 mi (6.8 km) from the airport and a 5-minute drive from Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa. Guests can get a morning swim in at the outdoor pool, and the spa tub makes for a relaxing end to the day. Bonuses like refrigerators and microwaves are offered in all rooms, along with LCD TVs and free WiFi.
Pros: Nice rooms, great service, and great complimentary breakfast! The pool and spa were very relaxing!
Pros: Clean, nice staff, good area
Cons: Way overpriced
Pros: Nothing - didn't stay!
Pros: For this price, it was great! It was relatively quiet and clean. We enjoyed spending time in the hot tub one night. The sheets were incredibly comfortable the first two nights (they put on less-comfortable ones the third night, but they were still fine). The breakfast was good - the usual pastries, toast, cereal, juice, yogurt, but they also had eggs, sausage, bacon, and make-your-own blueberry or regular waffles. It's close enough to downtown that you can walk, which is especially nice for Farmers' on Thursday nights when you don't want to deal with parking.
