10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Excellent location, the rooms and the hotel itself is very stylish. A beautiful library is available to hang out in the evening, good gym and one of the best restaurants in SAN Cristóbal - LUM. The breakfast is generous, a lot of variety to order from a la carte (with an allowance of 160 pesos per person available to order anything and the option to either get refunded or pay extra if this is exceeded. The allowance is generous enough to have several items from the menu). The location and the staff are very good. Would highly recommend it if you are looking for something picturesque, modern, convenient, with top class service and food.
Cons: The only very minor point is that the rooms were often cleaned late in the day (around 4pm). If you do go on tours early in the morning and you come back to the hotel after for a break, it could just coincide with an unclean room or the housekeeper in the process of cleaning the room. Apart from that, this hotel is perfect!
9.7 Excellent
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Eco style one with nature. Felt safe and well cared for...
Cons: They were refurbishing all the varnished wood. Made the stairs tricky
9.2 Excellent
Pros: A very modern and really nice hotel. Modern chic. We loved the decor and the garden. In one word; great! Nice livingroom. Good cocktails. We loved it.
Cons: The manager spoke very good English, maybe she can use her skills to teach the waiters in the restaurant some basic English? They didn't even understand there own menu in English. At breakfast we had a lot of difficulties to get the right breakfast. It all took far to long to come to the table, especially the coffee. Please let your staff know that coffee is the first thing to serve when people sit at their table!

Pros: Style, taste, landscaping, food,
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, friendly staff, stylish hotel, nice comfortable big room and high quality food in restaurant (both breakfast & dinner).
Cons: They still need to get some of the basics right - shower was luke warm with low pressure, slight drainage smell from toilet and during one night there was a lot of banging outside our room (sounded like someone was doing some cleaning / maintenance!).
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent for the city, staff extremely welcoming and the room was of a high standard.
Cons: Not much!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The beautiful garden and water elements that were visible in all locations. The excellent and friendly staff so willing to help with everything
Cons: The rate is higher than what we normally pay but it was worth it

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hospitality and cleanliness
Cons: Nothing at all
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The building very charming and well taken care of. They've obviously put a lot of thought and time into decorating the place. The living room also looks amazing overlooking the central patio. Super friendly staff, and a very good breakfast. One block from one of the busiest streets that has good shopping and dining
Cons: Tiny rooms! The place is so charming it looks perfect for a couple, but the size of the room makes it hard to have two people in there. I lived in New York and this still looked too small. Also it would be nice to have a window in the room (there's plenty of light due to a skylight). Some of their rooms do have windows, but not mine. Finally the drain from the shower made the bathroom smell a little funky. not a huge deal but something else that doesn't make me think of this place as romantic.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice place to stay in San Cristobal. The owner is super helpful, easy going and she baked cookies for us. The rooms are clean and the patio is very calm.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Short walk to the main pedestrian mall (less than 5 minutes), but still in a quiet location. The rooms were really comfortable, cozy, and stylish, and there was a nice courtyard to relax in. Hot water was reliable. Breakfast was delicious. But the main thing that really made our stay at Nuik special was Claudia - she was so warm, friendly, welcoming, and helpful! She really went over and above to make sure we were comfortable. It felt like we were staying at a friend’s place. Highly highly recommend.
Cons: Nothing at all, this place was perfect!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, great location and the courtyard was really nice to relax.
Cons: Nothing. The property was ideal for what we needed and exactly as advertised.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Claudia was incredibly warm, friendly, and helpful; we felt right at home there!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Amazing location, beautiful interior and Claudia is a great host. She supported us when we had some trouble getting to Laguna Miramar and was always happy to help. The breakfast is really good and the location right in the center of San Cristóbal. The room was comfortable and had heating and a hot shower. Muchas gracias for letting us stay at Nuik B&B.
Cons: A hair dryer would have been nice. :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked everything. The location ( very closed to the center of San Cristobal), the room (clean and cozy), the courtyard, the service (Daniela was super nice. She even prepared 2 lunch boxes as we had to leave early in the morning) and the breakfast (so delicious). You will love your stay
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nuik bnb is a very special place - beautifully decorated and a haven for weary travellers! Thank you!

Pros: Great little oasis 15 minutes walk from the centre of town. Gorgeous flower-filled courtyards with hummingbirds, Comfortable room with a lovely bed and cotton sheets, fabulous copper bathtub! Tasty breakfasts. Good wifi. Excellent service and good value all round.
Cons: The room was a little chilly in the evening and the lighting could have been brighter. The garden courtyards give plenty of places to sit in the shade on a hot day, but there is nowhere to lie in the sun for a while!
7.1 Good
Pros: The bed was really comfortable and the room really spacious
Cons: The hotel really needs to have a restaurant, we were traveling with a baby and small child. The website we booked through was misleading and our criteria was a place with restaurant just to make things easier.

Pros: Amazing cozy and clean place to stay. The staff is incredibly attentive and helpful. They make this place a unique hotel in San Cristobal de las Casa’s. Beds and decoration great. The breakfast is delicious and based on many regional ingredients. Lovely place to stay!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The attention to detail is lovely. In everything. The room, the amazing bathroom with its copper bathtub, the gardens, the breakfast! There is an offering of a great selection of wine. We really enjoyed a Chilean wine. What luxury to drink the wine next to our beautifully lit fire. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I am somewhat independent and appreciated their hands off approach until you needed something and they were right there to support you. I would stay here again. / Guayaba Inn es precioso y elegante. Quedamos en un grande King habitación. Muy especial Inn. Los detalles hicieron que nuestro estancia fuera muy especial.

Cons: a little bit far from Zocalo
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Feel at a country home in one of Mexico's most beautiful colonial cities. The hotel is small and has a homey feeling, surrounding a beautiful garden in cozy atmosphere. Friendly staff, casual and nice warm breakfast. Quiet -hard to find in town- only three blocks away from downtown. Definitely will come back.
Cons: Ask for rooms away from the kitchen area. Breakfast workers become noisy at 6:00 AM due to architectural issues. Everything else is excellent.
7.3 Good
Pros: Very quiet and clean hotel. The room was spacious and very clean. The bathroom was lovely and had a powerful shower. It's really close to the zocalo and 15 minutes walking from the bus station. A lovely place to stay in San Cristobal.
Cons:
7.6 Good
Pros: This hotel if very nice and reasonabily priced. It is an easy walk to everything. It is also very clean.
Cons: When we arrived, there was no record of my reservation. We had no reservation. Luckily they had room for us but had to move to another room once and had to go to a different hotel ( Casa Margarite) for the last day and that hotel was far inferior to Parador Margarite. Not good!

Pros: Our suite was well appointed with a very comfortable bed, functional kitchen, balcony over a beautiful courtyard with a pear tree. The bedspread was handmade from local Chiapas weavers and really added to the experience. All staff was responsive and friendly.
Cons: There was a rooster in a coop nearby that interrupted our sleep until we realized the hotel had provided a heater/fan that had enough white noise to drown out the rooster :). It worked well.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very good hotel for older people or a couple looking for something rustic and cozy atmosphere!
Cons: In fact, everything was amazing, maybe the restaurant isn't the best. To rustic for a young couple in my opinion!

9.6 Excellent
Pros: I loved the layout of the room, the lighting, the decor.
Cons: It would have been nice if Netflix was signed in with the hotel's account so that it could be used.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Garden and design.
Cons: Service at every level: check in, restaurant, check out... I wouldn’t recommend this place, there are much better options in San Cristobal.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The entrance and the general atmosphere in the hotel is fantastic The room is absolutely beautiful with a fire place The food at the restaurant is fairly good Most of the staff is helpful and quite nice
Cons: The staff is really kind but it is difficult sometimes to communicate since some do not speak English (and we don't Spanish) Even if it is a spa hotel no spa was available and nobody told us in advance to our arrival
9.6 Excellent
Pros: An amazing property not far from the centre of San Cris, it was the perfect little getaway for our family of 4. The rooms are very modern and chic. The restaurant has a beautiful garden view and funky decor. The food was good but not mind-blowing. The atmosphere makes up for it, the kids were relaxed playing in the garden.
Cons: Like I mentioned the food was great but not spectacular. We ate lunch, dinner and then breakfast in the restaurant. The breakfast in particularly unexceptional, they didn’t have several options on the menu available and the plates we did receive were disappointing. The French toast was made from store bought bread. They should consider a healthy juice menu.
Casa Margarita - San Cristóbal de las Casas - Bedroom

9.0 Excellent (786 reviews)
AED 129+
Overview Reviews
Casa Margarita is 200 metres from the Zócalo, San Cristobal De Las Casas’ Main Square. Set around a tranquil arched courtyard, this colonial-style hotel offers free WiFi in common areas and free parking at a nearby location. Featuring tiled floors and rustic décor, each room comes with cable TV, a safe and a work desk. The private bathroom has a shower and amenities. An iron and hairdryer can be requested at reception. Guests at The Margarita Hotel can also with a drink in the hotel bar, or in the courtyard next to the old well. There is a 24-hour reception and an on-site shop in the hotel. San Cristobal Church is a 10-minute walk away. You can drive to the border with Guatemala in 2 hours.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Best thing about Casa Margarita is the location, situated right on the pedestrian-only portion of one of the main shopping and dining streets in the city center. Walk out the door of the hotel and you are seconds away from dining, bars and shopping as well as the central park and several historic churches. Despite this location in the heart of things, it was quiet at night as the rooms are set back, away from the street surrounding and behind a large central courtyard. Also good were the friendly staff and great cleanliness. Also free bottled water.
Cons: I didn't like that my room had no table/chair or desk/chair which I prefer when working on the computer. As I saw some rooms did have small table/2 chairs, I could have asked to change rooms or have one added to mine but did not as I was not doing much computer work. Also, wi-fi was fairly slow at times. OK but not good if you're doing business. Main complaint, important to me: No coffee in the morning. I like to make coffee in the room or have it available from the hotel. Perhaps they have coffee makers in upgrades? Basic, clean hotel and it's a good value if you don't need much.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Casa Margarita is a very beautiful mansion built in colonial style. It's located in the very heart of San Cristobal de Las Casas.
Cons: They don't have heating and the night is cold.

2.5 Mediocre
Cons: Needed to buy an extra breakfast after the ' breakfast ' they served here.
2.5 Mediocre
Cons: We booked a private room and did not get one as our room connected to a dorm room with just a wood partition that did not even go from floor to ceiling. Could not sleep all night as the other guests were loud until 6am. Spiders in the shower. Hardly hot water. You can see the breakfast in my pictures. Overall my worst hostel or hotel experience ever.

Cons: great location.
5.0 Okay
Pros: I totally liked the location and beauty of this place. The rooms were a bit dark, but very nicely decorated with classical furniture. And everything was very clean. The people at the reception were very friendly.
Cons: One nuisance, which is behind my medium evaluation, is the handling of the laundry, which is totally overpriced; about double what I paid at other hotels in Mexico. 35-40 euros (780 pesos) for two shirts, 5 T-shirts, pyjamas, underwear of 4-5 days; that's about Hilton NYC prices. Moreover, they changed the price back and forth on the bill. I brought my bag of laundry to the reception and then did not double check the price info they put on it. My bad. This said, the receptionist did also not explicitly refer me to the price list (fine print, but readable) that, for instance, charges over 1 euro for a single sock. I simply trusted previous experiences and the common sense that half a load of laundry cannot cost as much as the room per night (!). 35 euros is not the world and there is certainly my fault in there; you can judge for yourself. What annoys me more is the inconsistence in communication, the shifting around of responsibility and the attitude behind the high prices. When I first complained, two receptionists said I was right about the totally overpriced bill; and that I can speak with the manager the next morning about the price at check-out; but then the manager was not available and a different colleague was inflexible. Long story short: if you don't do your laundry or ask for other services there, it's a beautiful, perfect and well-priced location. Just watch out for the fine print with anything you do there and don't lose your time discussing things.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property excellent on all aspects, location, staff etc. I will be back
7.0 Good
Pros: The room was lovely. Staff were nice
Cons: The hotel is located on the corner of two streets and we were kept awake by traffic noise all night. We had asked for a quiet room, off the street, but even though we made the request in advance and arrived early to get a good room, we were told that the one room in the hotel that looked like it could be quiet was booked. The horseshoe positioning of the rooms also meant that noise carried up from reception.
6.7 Good
Pros: - Location was very good - The room was clean and nice
Cons: - Staff was not very affordable, no information about the city, no map. - too much noise in the street, cars, klaxon since 6am
7.7 Good

Cons: Avoid a room at streetside. Some streetnoice.
5.7 Okay
Pros: The location in proximity to the town centre was very close, it only took 5 minutes to walk anywhere we needed to.
Cons: The bed was awefully hard, not very comfortable at all. The bathroom was pretty basic. Could do with updating. The room was very noisy.

Pros: Like its name says, this place was super cozy and lovely. I immediately felt home as I walked into the garden full of flowers and hummingbirds. The female dorm was sparkling clean all the time. Amazing breakfast comes with fruits, eggs and super tasty homemade jam. The staffs were very nice. They also have tour excursions, cheaper than most of the agencies in town. I can’t believe how this hostel has all these good features with such a good price. Thanks a lot.

Featured amenities include a business center, express check-out, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Event facilities at this hotel consist of conference space and a meeting room. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Everything was great, especially the location. It took us just a few minutes to get to the center, the way to which was beautiful and full off restaurants and cafes. There weren't many people at the hotel (we stayed there on January 8th-12th), so it was pretty quiet, too. You can have a meal at the restaurant at the hotel at very reasonable prices! Right in the hotel there is a car rental for those who prefer sightseeing on their own. The staff is very nice and helpful!

Cons: None!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very well located, 2 mins to the main square. Clean. Large rooms
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location is great, within walking distance to everything, right in the heart of the town. it's nice they offer some wood for the fireplace, perfect if you're in town when it's cold. The bed was very comfortable
Cons: The room felt really cold and stuffy, we tried opening the sliding door to get some air but it was too cold. The noise from the halls carries into the room, but I guess there's not much they can do about loud guests.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The location is the only upside of this hotel
Cons: - the room was not clean and bedsheets and towels had stains. It seemed like this hotel does not even change sheets between guests. Also the glasses in the room were not washed but just put upside down pretending to be clean. Bad hygiene overall and we both got sick while staying here - unfriendly staff, most of the staff appeared to hate working here and was not helpful at all - noisy: you hear everything happening in neighboring rooms and the hallways, we did not get one night of quiet sleep. - expensive: considering all the points mentioned above together with the steep price we paid, this hotel was probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Do not book here

9.6 Excellent
Pros: We didn't eat in the hotel because there were so many options nearby and we wanted to get out and explore each day. The hotel is on the zocolo, so you can walk out the door and be right in the middle of the action. There was one particular staff person at reception who spoke excellent English and was always willing to help us figure things out. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were modern and clean. There is a Starbucks 2 or 3 doors down with good internet.
Cons: We were on the 3rd floor, and one member of our group has some physical limitations. If you are concerned, you should request a first-floor-level because there is no lift. The internet worked occasionally, but usually wouldn't connect. It seemed like the hotel relied on the internet provided by the city to the town center rather than having their own, but that was unclear. We visited Starbucks a lot to stay in touch and get information.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Very clean hotel, nice and confortable beds, big parking spot, kind staff, nice restaurant, old fashion
Cons: No elevator, poor wifi signal in the rooms.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: You can’t beat the location! Right in the heart of the city. The beds were very comfortable and clean. Hot shower with good water pressure. The Sunday buffet had a wide variety of local dishes.
Cons: If you’re looking to have a good night’s rest make sure you ask to be placed in a room away from the front part of the hotel as the noise from the street and lobby can carry inside.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff, location, cleanliness and most important the view from the balcony onto the plaza.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, very quiet room third floor
Cons: breakfast time, servers very slow to bring the bill, and very slow to bring the change

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location ++
1.0 Poor
Pros: Some of the staff were attentive and friendly.
Cons: We were assigned their worst small room at the back corner of the third floor for a ten-night stay. Their business plan seems based on large group travel so their personal attention to individual travelers is pathetic. Their wifi is erratic in performance with a hopelessly complex and nonfunctional password system.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Location
Cons: Rooms cleanliness and maintanance. Staff speak no English. Poor breakfast unpaithend waiters. (Even milk for coffee was extra charged). This is not a 4 stars hotel as presented.
