The New York Hotels Americana Inn is centrally located in Manhattan and only a block from 5th Street and four minutes from Broadway. The hotel is only six miles from La Guardia Airport and eight miles from Teterboro Airport. There are 61 non-smoking, air-conditioned guestrooms built for New York tourists.

Each of the guestrooms at the Americana Inn comes with an LCD flat-screen television and the shared bathrooms were recently renovated. Every floor of the hotel offers a kitchenette complete with microwaves and refrigerators, some also have gas stoves for guests to use. There are single rooms, double rooms, twin-twin rooms, three twin rooms, and rooms offering two full beds and a private bathroom. All rooms come with a telephone, plenty of pillows, a luggage rack, nightstand, and dresser.

Guests will have tons of dining options with nearly 500 restaurants within 0.3 miles of the hotel. Gong Cha Midtown is lauded for their milk tea and bubble tea while Refinery Rooftop offers fantastic American cuisine and cocktails. Main Noodle House serves Chinese food and Winnie’s has bar food and jazz music playing. Other options in the area include Sophia’s for Caribbean food, Five Guys for great burgers, and Parker & Quinn for Sunday brunch.

As far as attractions and entertainment, guests have many options. Madison Avenue is steps away for great shopping and Babylon Spa is nearby for spa services. Bryant Park is an excellent spot for ice skating, New York Public Library is a dream to explore, and Fifth Avenue is a hotspot for tourists.

Cons:We expected a tiny, crappy room but not the BLATANT THIEVERY from the hotel. First they charge us a bullshit 'resort fee' which allows them to lie about having a lower daily rate. But even worse they charged me an additional $159 for NOTHING! The thieving liars won't tell me why they're charging my credit card. If you like getting ripped off and sleeping in tiny, bug-infested rooms then this is the place for you.

Pros:Perfect location in midtown- walking distance to sights in Manhattan and close to subway stops for everything else. 24 hour reception desk is good too if you get in late

Pros:Location was excellent. Walking distance to pretty much everything in Manhatten. Reception was very good.
Cons:There was one small roll of toilet paper and no soap in the bathroom. Dusty bed lamp with hard to find switch.

Cons:They don't have bathroom inside the room, no free internet, no parking, no breakfast and they tell on they website they have everything, it's a lie. We need split a restroom with another people like in a hostel, it was the worst.

Pros:The location is the only redeeming feature of this hotel... Not even the wifi is complimentary in this grotty, depressing place.
Cons:The hotel is loud all day and night, the decor is old and it smelled of vinegar which they presumably pour down the in room sinks to get rid of the slightly worse smell of what goes in there when people don't leave their rooms over night. The mobile advert failed to mention the shared bathrooms, then the guy on reception just dismissed complaints with a smirk as though he'd heard them a hundred times before. The rooms were tiny and uninviting. Even the lifts/elevators were terrible - spectacularly slow and always stopped on the second floor (reception) for no reason.

Pros:I went with my girlfriend for a weekend away, the staff was very friendly and accomadating. The location was great, right in the heart of everything. We got stuck an extra day due to the storm, and the staff was very helpful and extended the stay with no problems, and gave us a discount rate for the extra night with no problems. Def would stay here again
Cons:Shared bathrooms, but they were very clean at all times. Nothing bad to say about the hotel
