location, garden and pool area, extremly attentive staff the Ambassadeurs bar did not meet the otherwise high level of the hotel: cocktails were really poor
it is comfortable and well maintained hotel with beautiful views and convenience to stores and restaurants in Nisantasi a light breakfast e.g. coffee and rolls should be included so that one does not have to feel compelled to spend the 35 euros if all one needs is a light morning snack
Location and the views are gorgeous. Fitness and spa area big, adequately fitted out, although its location at the west wing of the hotel makes visiting from the east wing somewhat too long. Breakfast hall is definitely too so small for this hotel that us and lot of other people had to wait to be seated at the table.
I liked the Location and the professional staff they have and for sure the outdoor pool. The room was on the seventh floor and I thought to see the sea I should get a room on the ninth floor at least.
Rooms were gorgeous, staff was extremely courteous and helpful. All the facilities were a "10" in luxury Food/Beverage prices were obscene. $65 lire for breakfast (that's about $50+ US) . A coke in the bar was $13 lire ($10)
Staff was great, in particular, Malike. Can't wait to go back.
Position of hotel. SErvice of the hotel.
The design of the Hotel as well as the facilities offered are of great asset for the customer. Moreover, the staff is very helpful and kind and accommodate all your requests. Overall, the Hotel managed to create a distinguished atmosphere and thus it is recommended for all those who seek a priviliged treatment in a great location with remarkable facilities. N/A
Great hotel in a very good location. It is situated in the European side of Istanbul, so its less crowdy and noisy compared to the old city of Istanbul in the east side. The fitness center is one of the best i have ever been to. It has everything you can imagine. And all is for free (except the massages). We had to pay 20 euro / day for internet. Based on Turkey prices it is very expensive. And i think that such a great hotel should provide internet for free to its customers.
Rooms are ok I had to change my room because the bathroom was full of water after a single bath, they made me wait for a long time like that
good breakfast only. Old hotel, old furniture, rooms not clean well, you can find better hotels with the same rate.
The room was good and clean and well appointed. Spa was brilliant. Breakfast very good.overall a very good stay. The roof bar was shut renovations and the oher bar seemed to lack choice. But minor point as otherwise excellent stay.
good breakfast poor sanitation of the pool
Breakfast was great, but thats about the only good thing i can say. Wifi was way too unstable. Had to visit the common room in front of the elevator to get connected. Smoking from next room was passed onto our room making our stay painful. Staff didn't even ask whether we were smokers or not
Free wireless internet and breakfast. The glass wall in the shower room was too small. I had to scoot myself on the shower side, or else the bathroom would be all wet.
close to the business district prices, and staff attitudes
Hotel in very nice place - middle of the city, metrobus (speed city bus) in 100 meter to hotel. Professional staff.
Our room was definitelly looking "tired",maybe some rooms have been refurbished and we were unlucky.
The Scenery From My Room and From the Summit Bar @ 14th Floor 1- Food was not good. 2- It is far from the sites you need to visit in Istanbul
nice hotel the smell of the hall and the reception area and the monet resturant when they serve the beakfast it smells like kitchen and when you get out trhe smell is still in your clothes!!
Luxury hotel, great location, greatest view on the Bosphorus. I got a great deal moneywise as well.
Staff very helpfull Everything perfect
good facilities, although indoor pool was closed for renovations. View from bar on 14th floor is spectacular, although so are the prices at +-E10 for a local beer. Staff throughout the hotel were super. Location is too far out from the centre. None of the mains attractions are within walking distance apart from the ferry terminals.Restauraunt prices and poolside prices are verty expensive.
The location, roof top terrace has stunning views, excellent music and friendly staff. Breakfast had a fantastic choice of foods. All staff were very helpful. Meze resturant food should be more rustic and more like a traditional Meze, though the food was tasty. I thought wine was a little expensive, or have a more varied price list.
Breakfast buffet was the same for 5 days .. Location is not near Taksim square (you need a taxi for tl 12)
Luxury hotel, great service, superb location, excellent breakfast buffet
Not on the expected level
The view from Top Bar Roof Terrace No transfer to and from airport. No breakfast included in price
It was an amazing stay. Superb attention to detail, breakfast was amazing.
Good location close to city, quiet environment, bosphorus view in some rooms No free wifi and extremely high charges to have access, rooms needs refurb to compete in the five star class
The beds were amazingly comfortable, and the staff very friendly. Lobby was nice to sit in and relax after a hard day of sightseeing, and the free coffee was always welcome. I felt that the rooms were a little bit dark, and in fact the whole hotel was sub-optimally lit.
Location and design of the hotel and friendly staff. A minor thing, but the cleaning crew was a little noisy and you can hear them in other rooms next to you.
We nice hotel. Brand new, clean, nice staff. You will be charged for everything in the hotel except for the room (e.g. breakfast, bottle of water next to bed, etc.). Prices for the additional items are high (breakfast = app. EUR 25, bottle of water/coke = EUR 6)
Modern Terrible terrible terrible view , extermly dark , modern design but not soo good. verrry dark again and dull, over-priced for a hotel with no view whatsoever.
The W Istanbul is centrally located on the European side in Istanbul, with several shops and restaurants just around the corner, Nisantasi is also a short 10 minute walk away (exquisite shopping). Vogue, a rooftop restaurant and bar, is also a short 2 minute walk away. The hotel is clean, trendy and very comfortable. The staff is very helpful and service was excellent (sans the mini-bar items that I never used finding their way onto my check-out bill, which the staff swiftly removed). Would highly recommend the hotel to any solo travelers or couples. I would have liked for there to have been a salon and for the gym to have offered yoga classes (or any other sort of fitness class).
I'd like stile and romantic design of hotel breakfast was so pour
I mostly liked everything
Excellent concierge service, design, lovely spacious rooms, attention to detail (maids turn the pillow during turndown from "Welcome" to "Sweet dreams" :-) bar and restaurant, terrific breakfast, location. Average reception staff: they charged (not just authorized) my credit card on check-in without asking for my consent and for higher amount than the accomodation costs were. The overcharged amount (not much but still...) was given me back on check-out in turkish lira, hardly needed on your way out of the country. Not a disaster but surprising.
Location The room was not user-friendly. It looked like a party hotel designed for vary young people.
all staff were very helpfull and easy to communicate with them in english quick survice bathroom area wasnt that comfortable, shower only with out a bathtop wasnt enough.
Rooms were nicely decorated and had many automated features. NOISE level was unbearable, I couldn't sleep all night due to SUPER LOUD music followed by a fight right outside my window. I ended up going to sleep around 6:00am. TV was nicely mounted on the wall, but hidden behind glass which made it unviewable; also TV size is too small for the room size, can't really see much from the bed. No breakfast facility on location.
Breakfast was great! Location was great and so was cleanliness!
I've stayed in many hotels in Istanbul, but Çırağan Palace - is the most luxurious hotel in the city.
brekfast, hamam, and the pool for this price I was expecting beter view from the room and a biger room. Algthough not far away from the city center, because of trafic problems, we had to travel (always with taxi) half an hour to and from the hotel. It was very expencive. For example, one extra botle of water 10 euro in the room! But the had also to smal ones for free
I liked the location by the Bosphoros. Very scenic. I liked the setting of the Burga restaurant located in the adjoining former Ottoman palace. The concierge staff were very helpful in suggesting nice restaurants to go to. The doorman was also very helpful in getting me and wife a taxi and in giving the driver the needed instructions. None
The most terrible thing is that this hotel does make change of money from EUR to TL, and does not change from TL to EUR. It is really terrible because they leave you with a bunch of TL in your pocket to use it nowhere. I felt totally dissapointed and cheated.
The comfort, the view and location as well as the excellent services and facilities
The serenity of the waterfront facilities, dedication and professionalism of staff, excellent restaurants on the premises (with Bosphorus view). Decoration in rooms high-quality but rather stale. Even if I had my room at a discount I found it rather mean that not even continental breakfast was included (less value for money than another Istanbul hotel I stayed at earlier in the same sojourn)
the relaxation and the luxasry
It is the most impressive hotel I have ever stayed in terms of luxurious hospitality. The unavailability of what I understand are a wide range of Turkish wines by the glass, in better restaurants in Dublin one can now avail of wine by the glass of up to 90 types. The bottles are held in a vacuum cabinet, for my wife and I to try a red and white Turkish wine with our dinner in the Tugra would have been nice.
Absolutely astonishing historical building, great view, location, excellent food. Had to wait for couple of hours upon check-in until the room is ready.
The quality of the staff. The fact that the greeter remembered our names is amazing. so is the location and view. That I did not have enough time to enjoy all of the facilities.
Excelant location , clean, quaite, Price of the hotel , no promotins
looking to the bridge and ortakoy camii room's bathroom
Great Stafd very helpful with giving advice and arranging transportation. Great Turkish Bath, hot tub and steam room
There were a few mixups with staff not understanding room service/bar order
the coolness of the ambient
Very close to Bosphorous and lively cafe, restaurant, street market area. Good breakfast. Small room. Long way to airport. Traffic sometimes came to a standstill outside.
Nice location directly on the Bosphorus in Ortakoy - great night life in the neighborrough
the landscape from the window! the rooom was too small and hasn t balcony!
The view at the Bosphorus from the terrace of the hotel. Due to the traffic it's very hard to reach the hotel between 3 and 6 pm. It took us several times about 2 hours to get from downtown (blue Mosk, topaki palace, bazaar, etc) back at the hotel.
room design and bath cleaneness. iam thankful to the hotel since they upgraded me to better rooms ( coonecting rooms) no swimming pools.
Hotel staff were very helpful
Everything was fine..
That was a normal hotel , I dont belive that it was a five stars hotel , if I new the hotel is like that I wouldn`t go there. The stuff could not speak english , there was no kettle inside the room and the mini bar was far too expencive. I Paid by Euro but when I went there they charge by turkish lire(which I am not happy about it)
clean, comfortable, good price, good location
communication with the staff was almost impossible
The good location in town Poor service and so so rooms considering the 5 start rating. To me moreof a 3 star.
Thank you for the good service
staff was excellent....
Comfortable and spacious. This apartment hotel provides a large sitting area, with desk as well as a walk-in robe and small kitchen area. Very good bathroom. While the location is not so central, this provides an opportunity to see another side of Istanbul. Two buses go up the very steep one-way street and returning via the 'teleferik' was fun. The rate offered via booking was good as I booked some months in advance. I would stay here again. An iron and ironing board would be a nice addition. I'd also have like the option not to have clean towels every day.
Location is very elegant no
the staff very friendly and helpful, room clean and quite the room little small bathroom door have no lock with family i have no privacy they don't have a business center the loopy is very small also, the break fast too small and they repeat the stuff every day i get bored of it
This is a very nice small suite hotel. It is quiet, modern, well-kept, well-equipped & well-located. The larger suites are a good fit for families, the smaller suites are perfect for business. The very nice restaurant where breakfast (A nice Continental) takes place should have English menus.
Breakfast was too poor.
