Pros: Jenny met us on our first night and was extremely friendly and helpful. We met Richard this morning at breakfast. Great hosts and a fab place that I’m likely to revisit. Up until now I’ve only recently went to hotels, but this stay has made me reconsider :-) G
Excellent 9.6

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Made to feel amazingly welcome .
Cons: Set aside off the main road. An amazing and wonderful place to stay. Wonderful and attentive hosts . A breakfast any top star hotel would kill for
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The owners were very welcoming and friendly, the guest house is immaculate, and the breakfast was perfectly cooked. The welcome folder in the room is excellent, very well put together. There are recommendations, directions, and everything you need to know about during your stay.
Cons: The only thing I can say is I would liked to have had a digital clock in the room. As the room was lovely and dark with the blackout curtains, it was a bit difficult finding my phone to check the time.
Excellent 10.0

Excellent 10.0
Pros: The breakfast was very good! We also loved the Nairn room (which was the master bedroom) as it was very romantic and peaceful. Alec and Margaret were great hosts.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Superb accommodation. Great breakfast and fantastic value for money.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: We had the most wonderful room with splendid view and very comfotable chairs
Cons: The television in the room next to ours was either very loud or the wall is a bit thin
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Amazing experience - we were blown away with the lodge - so clean and have never experienced service so slick - superb banter with the owners - could not fault anything
Cons: The local council could improve the road to the lodge
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Delicious and generous breakfast, the hosts gave us a lift to town which was very kind as the lodge is quite remote. It was a lovely, traditional Scottish experience and delightfully quiet place to stay
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Warm, friendly, spacious, excellent breakfast, spotlessly clean, quiet, generous ‘little extras’ ie chocolates shortbreads etc.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: An excellent stay with the warm welcome that I remembered from the last time I stayed. I will be booking again for the next time that I am in the area. A colleague brought up this hotel when discussing places to stay in the Inverness area and we were both agreed that it is an excellent place to stay.
Cons: The turn off to get to Daviot jumps out on you when driving down the a9 at night. Obviously this is nothing to do with the accomodation, just worth pointing out for guests to be aware of when visiting this excellent establishment.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Cozy place Clean and big room Breakfast Host is kind and friendly.
Cons: Nil
Good 7.3
Pros: Perfect stay. This is the best guest house I`ve ever been.
Cons: Everything was great.

Pros: Warm welcome, comfortable room with many nice touches, beautiful location and an excellent breakfast.
Cons: Nothing.
Good 6.7
Pros: Just 1 night isn't really representative but the stay was comfortable and breakfast was great. Good views and would make an excellent get away for a bit of R&R with the odd walk to boot!
Cons: No
Excellent 8.0

Cons: nothing...
Good 6.0
Pros: Great attention to detail in the room and very comfortable room. Lovely interiors and smart without being too fussy...
Cons: We were hoping for a bath, but there was only a shower - and our shower was a bit small.
Good 7.6
Pros: The Best hotel for couples. King size bed was wonderful! Highly recommended.
Cons: It's unpossible to have a dinner.
Good 7.2
Pros: The bed
Cons: No food available, other than breakfast, should never be given a 5* rating, 3* would be more accurate
Excellent 8.0
Pros: They were very helpful and accomodating, plus as a business traveller the wireless internet actually worked for a change..!!!
Cons: No
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Wonderfull staff.
Cons: $review.cons
Good 6.0
Pros: A lovely BB with a relaxed atmosphere.
Cons: Was a bit disappointed that when I asked to check out 30 minutes after check out time, was told that housekeeper already in. Would have appreciated more flexibility in respect of check in and check out times. I travel extensively for work and pleasure and it makes a differnece when staff talk to you and are friendly and engaging . Unfortunately I found the staff though pleasant and efficent to be quite reserved and not as welcoming as I would have expected. Overall though a peasant stay and a lovely room.

Pros: Elister was very friendly and helpful and we like sitting with him and the other guests at breakfast
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Breakfast was very good and they were very accommodating of us leaving early the next morning.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The setting of the home is absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. I fell in love with the place. My husband and traveled with my brother and his wife and we shared the Secret Garden. We each had our own room and bathroom and then shared a common living area. It was a great place to relax in the evenings... Deidre and Alisdair were amazing hosts.
Cons: The property was fabulous, no complaints at all. It is a bit off the beaten path... So don't plan to walk anywhere except along the riverfront. But you will have to drive to any restaurants or shops.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Wonderfull!!!! Perfect place ^^ ... very warm welcome

Pros: This is the second time we have stayed at Old Drynie. It is a luxury B&B. The owners are very hospitable the accommodation leaves very little to be desired and the location is delightful with views from the garden over the Moray Firth, whilst also being a short drive from Inverness.
Cons: Nothing

Pros: The bathroom was v good.
Cons: The lack of a wash basin.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I did not have breakfast as we left early, but everything else was excellent and I would recommend this B n B to family and friends.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Doug was a wonderful host, full of information and very welcoming. Our hot breakfast was satisfying and delicious. The rooms were very clean, especially the bathroom which was absolutely glistening. We arrived tired and grumpy over our lost luggage but left the next day with huge smiles.
Cons: N/A
Excellent 10.0
Pros: A very pleasant and comfortable stay for 4 nights, very clean and warmly atmospheric house that I had reserved for a superior double room with a classic elegant living room and parachute tender bedroom. Breakfast was great and delicious full English Breakfast, the property is good location next door to Moray Firth in few walks, buses are available daily between Inverness central city. I am contained and appreciated for the host offered the warm stay.
Good 6.2
Pros: The facility was very comfortable and breakfast was good.
Cons: The problem upon check in was that the hostess was very un hospitable. She was very rude to the couple who checked in just before us. (I spoke to them that night and the following morning. They did not feel welcome at all). As for my wife and I....my wife mistakenly booked only one person. The hostess wanted an extra £30 for the extra person. Does that seem excessive for an extra breakfast?. Well, I did say breakfast was good...but not for that amount. Oh well....at least she lightened up after I gave her the cash. (My wife wasn't happy but it was our vacation and I didn't need conflict)
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Clean and comfortable. Located in a small town outside Inverness. Convenient to drive to area attractions. Hosts couldn’t do enough for you and made helpful dining and travel recommendations. Breakfasts were very tasty. Good on site parking.
Cons: Nothing at all.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: We had a great stay! Very comfortable. The family was very friendly and accommodating! Justina, our caretaker, was also so friendly and cheerful!
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Host and staff were lovely. Great facilities, well cooked good breakfast, with lovely view. Host recommended we eat dinner at a local place which turned out to be excellent, we were so pleased to for the host to recommend, book us the table and give directions etc. En-suite bathroom facilities were excellent.
Cons: I think the bed frame was ready for a refresh. It was great having a fridge in the room but it was a bit noisy. I felt the overall cost was maybe too high but it was a very busy weekend in Inverness (marathon was on) so all accommodation was in demand, and booking.com take a hefty share of the price you pay.
Excellent 8.5
Pros: The place was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was hearty.
Cons: At five to ten (the checkout time), the call went out. We were to be out the door by ten. The room across the hall from us ran out with things hanging from their suitcases. We ran and loaded the car, were told, no you have not left anything behind. Then my husband discovered his briefcase missing and had to run in and get it from our bedroom. All relaxation was gone from the way we were rushed out the door. I have never had this happen at any other B&B we stayed in.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Good breakfast, friendly owner.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The bed was SO comfortable ! Minutes from Culloden Battlefield, host was lovely, view was great.N/a
Cons: Nothing !would
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Lovely welcome from owner and husband. Super comfortable bed and brilliant power shower. Location perfect for relaxing and only a short drive to Inverness for some shopping. On a farm surrounded by a variety of animals. Great choice at breakfast to suit all. Plenty parking. Found a place we will return to often.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The proximity to Culloden was the major factor in booking. Everything was very neat and comfortable. The host and Justyna made as feel welcome and the view from the conservatory on the Scottish landscape is stunning
Cons: Hard-pressed to say. The decoration is not really my style, a 70ies/80ies bungalow, functional and a bit of a blast from the past of my teenage years. I would not spend a whole holiday there but this is taste not comfort.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Lovely setting on a working farm. Room and ensuite clean and comfortable.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beautiful property with a gorgeous communal sitting room to relax in. Breakfast was spectacular!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I LOVED the dispensers of soap and body wash in the shower! This was ingenious and very helpful. Also I loved the bathroom mirror that had a clock in it and lights. This is very helpful to a traveler who needs the bathroom in the middle of the night, and is unfamiliar with the surroundings. The lights were very appreciated. The breakfast was pretty good - the scrambled eggs were a little too runny for my taste. But other than that it was good.
Cons: Maybe this is a European practice not to use a top sheet in the bed...? But in multiple locations in our two week journey we stayed in places where there was no top sheet. Also the comforters were beautiful but VERY heavy and much too warm on the bed for that time of year. At Leanach farms we used the coverlet, but since there was no sheet I kept wondering if another couple had slept under it before us and whether or not it had been laundered. It was also a little bit itchy against my skin since it was textured. Sheets are smooth - not textured. I think it would be more energy efficient to use a top sheet, and then you would not have to wash the coverlet or bedspread very often at all. In addition I like to use a wash cloth in the shower - a small square cloth to wash with. I had to buy a nylon scrubby thing a few days before that because our previous rental didn't have a wash cloth either. I think perhaps I should start bringing some with me from home when I travel!

Pros: Really good rooms with bath and shower and very comfortable beds. Good wifi. Excellent dinner at reasonable prices (£30 for two courses or £35 for three).
Cons: Surprised that in room heating was electric radiators - not very eco-friendly (but very effective).
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Lovely hotel and very comfortable
Cons: Very expensive to eat in the lounge
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Excellent food
Cons: Though the food was excellent, very limited menu in lounge dining menu. Reception could have been better!...
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Full breakfast was lovely
Cons: Didn't like the fact the the payment was taken 2 days before arrival.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Helpful staff, beautiful room with fabulous views of hotels beautiful grounds. Extremely comfortable bed and bedding- best I’ve ever had!
Cons: Limited menu for vegetarian for room service and lounge. We didn’t see restaurant menu. I expect they would have had more choices had we asked.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Good, comfortable room with enormous bathroom featuring bath and separate walk-in shower. Helpful staff, large on-site car park, and well located being under 30 minute's drive from Inverness Airport. Large elegant hotel with ample, yet cosy and inviting areas to sit and chat in the guest lounge area. Post stay invoicing and charging was accurate and hassle-free despite checkout and key drop-off occurring without any staff member present at 5am in the morning.
Cons: We stayed on a busy Saturday night, and a large function at the hotel prevented use of the restaurant for dinner and filled the car park. Staff offered a reasonable (but understandably limited) bar menu as an alternative, served either at the bar or as room service at no extra charge, but couldn't provide the Macaroni Cheese that I asked for, as it wasn't included on the menu. Staff were all very busy with the large on-site event, and had to be reminded to serve our desserts, which eventually arrived with an apology and promise of no charge. I was assured that a member of staff would be on duty when I checked out early at 5am, but there wasn't. However, post stay invoicing and charging was accurate and hassle-free.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very clean room and bathroom. Bed and pillows were so comfortable. Lovely touch to have fluffy dressing gown and slippers. Slept so well
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Very nice excellent location
Cons: Clean lovely rooms
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The proprietor of this wonderful guest house was a very kind and thoughtful host. He took time to get to know each and every one of his guests. Further to this, he kept it in immaculate condition and really made you feel very welcome. He even offered to let me leave my bag at the property after checking out as my flight was much later in the day.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Good tasty breakfast.
Cons: Everything was just perfect.
Mediocre 3.8
Pros: Breakfast was good and host friendly.
Cons: Location was on a busy road, 20 minute walk to the town on a not pleasant street. Also the room could use a better cleaning. The tea tray was filthy with dust. Also the room was not quiet, we could hear the guests next door. The wind also blew heavily against the small window.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: breakfast lovely, all so well organised. brilliant stay.
Good 6.7
Pros: Clean and comfortable
Cons: Farther from city center than I thought. 1 mile, we had to drive and fight parking. We walk in every city but not here. Owner was abrupt and upset when we sat at the wrong table for breakfast. Wouldn’t stay there again.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Great breakfast choice and helpful host. Great location for getting too and from the airport and city centre. Very convenient for onward travel.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: The breakfast was excellent and the location was really good.
Cons: The noise of the trains at night

Okay 5.0
Cons: The cleanness off my room in the hotel was terrible for the price I paid.
Excellent 10.0
Cons: WHEN I HAD TO GO HOME
Excellent 9.4
Pros: Great buffet breakfast. Roomy rooms. Located not too far from a bus stop, so easy to get places. We stayed here 4 years ago, and liked it.
Cons: Would be nice if they had transportation to/from train/bus stations, but getting there via the city bus is not too difficult (as long as a bus driver doesn't mislead you as to when your next bus really is). It was our most expensive room on the trip.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Great stopover the night before an early flight- very clean and comfortable, great value for money. Staff were lovely.
Cons: Could do with a shuttle bus to/from the airport.
Good 7.9
Cons: ROOM WAS COLD THE HEATER IS NOT BIG ENOUGH TO HEAT THE ROOM.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: We had an early morning flight out of Inverness the next morning, so didn't get a chance to have the included breakfast, but the clerk did mention we could contact the kitchen and get coffee or fruit to takeaway. The location was perfect for us for an early morning flight. We right to the restaurant located just outside of the hotel and it was perfect - comfortable and a great dinner.
Cons: The beds were a bit stiff and there was no bathtub.

Pros: Staff were friendly Room was a good size
Cons: Unfortunately the decor is very tired - technically nothing wrong with it, but for example shower sealing coming away, and no real sense of interior design. Carpet in the bar area is very worn. Had a venison burger - whilst it was tasty, it was only a piece of meat with a slice of tomato between a bun (really need a bit more inside) the salad and other bit on the plate were fine.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Very conveniently located, roughly a 10-minute drive from Inverness airport. My flight was leaving early the following morning, but the staff prepared a breakfast tray for my room so that I could still have something to eat before I left. Would definitely recommend as a place to stay if you're landing late/leaving early from Inverness.
Good 6.3
Pros: The reception staff was good, very informative and helped us book a taxi to the Inverness airport. She also pre-prepared out next days breakfast.
Cons: The cupboard to hang clothes the door was broken.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: This is a really friendly place, a small inn-type hotel in an honest traditional setting. It's more like staying overnight at friends and family. There are signs of wear and tear but these have no negative impact on the experience. The bed was good and I was not aware of any disturbances in the night. Lovely. The man in reception is a local and quite a history buff. I enjoyed our chat. The restaurant food was excellent. I had one of their steak pies and it was delicious.
Cons: This is not a modern hotel. Is that a negative? I think that it has a few idiosyncrasies, like stepping down into the room, but it is what it is. No real complaints.
Good 7.1
Pros: Ideal location for getting to the Airport at an early hour.
Cons: I realise this is an old property, but I think it could be modernised/updated a bit

Pros: The room was clean and breakfast was very good.
Cons: The radiator in the room did not work, we received a small fan heater! Asked if we could change room to be told the heating would come on at 9pm which it did not! The couple in the room next to us were very noisy and all night we heard the ‘bell’ on the lift when people getting in and out!
