One thing that is important to remember is that the majority of gas stations are located on the coastal roads, so if you’re going inland, you must ensure you have enough gas to get you to your destination.

All speed limits in this country are in kilometers per hour, as opposed to miles, as in the U.S. On urban and rural roads, the top speed limit is about 50 km/hour (31 mph). If you’re on a motorway, the maximum speed is 80 km/h (50 mph). There are mobile speed cameras in this country, which will catch you if you’re going above the limit. Should this happen, the car hire agency will charge you for the fine and an administrative fee.
