The staff was friendly though the communication was difficult st best. They tried to help the best they could. They were good people. If not for the World Cup, one should not pay more than $50 a night if in a crunch to find a place. The surrounding area was sketchy but ok during the daytime. At night; however, one is better off walking in large groups. It definitely did not look safe and it was not, although my buddy and I did venture out to the historical neighborhood. This is cited as one of the strong points of the hotel, but should be done in daytime. The amenities (TV & phone were the only ones) are old-very old and the WIFI did not work one if the two nights we were there. There was another section to this alleged hotel ( it's more like an old Motel 6) that had been painted and some renovations may have been done, but can not comment. If one is comfortable with sketchy neighborhoods and can get this on the cheap, then it is an ok place to stay. We paid almost $100 a person ($200) a night and it is not worth it.
Fairly good hotel. Absolutely to be considered next visit in Curitiba as well
I want express my satisfaction to the staff of this hotel, they met the highest expectation and deserve my appreciation. The reception personel are professional and fluent in english, they are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff there were awesome. I was pleased to be in Mabu Royal&Premium, and would be happy to recommend this Hotel to others. I met the excellence in this hotel.
what I surprised this hotel is equipped pool(not for swimming for diving) and basic fitness machine on the top of the hotel . It makes our trip healthful .I suggest that this hotel is 4stars pointed. We dissappointted at the attitude of boy at the restaurant when we took breakfast. we arrived at the restaurant 10 mts .before 10 o'clock. almost he accepted us . and then make noise of clean the table(you know hitting sound of the glasses plates ) intentionally.it make us annoying to talk and stay .
Staff were extremely helpful, hotel very well maintained, rooms very comfortable even for the most basic room (beds were great, with pillow menu), lovely little top floor indoor pool, excellent room service food. Compared to other hotels seen in Curitiba it was excellent value. Gym could be improved - only a couple of treadmills & bikes & small weights.
Great location Shabby hotel; outdated; not 5 stars standard
breakfast was very good internet connection was terrible
Close to the city centre, enjoyable breakfast, unusual hotelroom. A bit noisy because of trafic. Don't take a dinner in the hotel nor room service: quality far below normal standard. Most of the staf did not speak any other language than Portuguese.
Very comfortable room, an excellent bathroom and shower, had a balcony, a good TV, clean and cozy sheets. A very good hotel, especially considering its affordable price. I'm not in love with its location, kind of a deserted place at night. But then again its meant to be this way, I think, for it is located only three blocks from the Interstate Bus Terminal.
beside the rodoviaria
Good location, easy access from both airport and city center. Free Internet access. Reasonable rate. A language barrier exists because some reception staff only speak Portuguese. The entrance is often blocked by parked cars.
Great breakfast. My safe didnt work and one of the dials on the airconditioner was missing. Also my shower door didnt close properly.
Clean room, comfortable bed, easy to find. Fast checkin and check out.Excelent internet in rooms. External carpark
The hotel is very well situated to visit the city on foot and by bus. The hotel staff was very professional and helpful. The breakfast was good. 1) It was impossible to use the internet in the room I had. I was forced to come down to the lobby with my PC.2) The fact that I had to come downstairs for a safety box. 3) The gym was very small and hotel guests had to pay a fee. 4) On the 10th floor, close to the Suite, I saw two cockroaches and I killed one of them. However, I did not see any in my room.
The Hotel offer confort and facilities compatible with the price of the room. The location is very good for business and shopping. The restaurant offer good conditions for the breakfast and the dinner.
I booked one of their luxury rooms, which was not so expensive and it was really nice and comfortable, and located on a really nice street in the city centre. Only that they had no record of my booking, they thought I was staying on the Slaviero Palace in Sao Paolo....but anyway, didn't mattter. They were very nice about it, and gave me the room anyway, at same price. Not much English spoken, but that is typical of any city in Brazil outside of SP and Rio.
This is a great hotel in downtown Curitiba. Very clean, well appointed up to date, fast and free wireless internet. Couldn't have been better! Very comfortable for me as a woman business traveler.
Breakfast service on sunday morning. Even offering a service till 11:00 am, the buffet was really poor of options as they couldn't refill it on time as they were apparently short on staff to hold on the number of guests they had.
Great breakfast, quiet rooms
Very friendly staff! Everything was fine.
Spacious rooms, excellent staff, good breakfast, good location, excellent restaurant, excellent internet connection
Well located, nicely refurbished in a mix of design (reception) and classic (art deco) in the rooms. Excellent service, staff very friendly and helpful No bar available in the hotel and the restaurant is not very often opened
We've got amazing deal from Booking.com: weekend rates for the Suite at same price of regular rooms! The rooms are nice with old style and furniture but updated amenities. The suites are amazing: spacious and perfect for couples in honeymoon - or for those planning a second honeymoon. Perfect location: 4 blocks from the "Flowers Street", 5 blocks from "Tiradentes Square" (to catch the Touristic Bus Line); 6 blocks from the "Historic Sector" (restaurants and the Sunday's handicraft Fair). Also, don´t loose the oportunity to have dinner at the Hotel's restaurant "Zea Mais", one of the tops for contemporary food (it is better to make reservations because it is very busy at weekends). The rooms (the suite, mainly the bathroom) could have more auxiliary lights, altough the romantic appeal, it is difficult to pack the luggage at night.
Excellent cost / benefit, very well located, helpful staff, excellent cleanliness, free internet connection Poor room service menu and availability (up to 22:00), guests don't have priority to restaurant (which is also open to public with reservation) at dinner
We stay with my wife for one single night and it was great. I'd like everything in this hotel.
Very spacious room. A/C worked very well. Huge bathroom with a terrific shower. There is not much going on at night in the area & nothing is open nearby. Also, outside noise starts very early in the morning and goes until late, so try to stay away from the main street.
Excellent services.Extraordinary helpfull staff. Excellent restaurant. Fantastic suite- Fantastic value for money. We will come back!
Beautiful hotel with very friendly staff.
The hotel is conveniently located in the centre of town. Very few of the staff speak English. Things were especially difficult in the restaurant, where they frequently had to call a member of staff from reception to take the order. Even the menu in the restaurant was in Portugese only so you couldn't even use your finger to select a meal!
