I like the staff respond to needs Rooms were a Lil dirty and out dated ...
The breakfast was excellent....eggs, sausage, waffles, hot oat meal, dry serials, donuts, muffins, and so on. The bathroom was clean and functional but needed an update. The sink had some rust and the calking in the tub needed to be redone.
Location It took many minutes for hot water , ice machine was broken , skimpy on soap and shampoo, etc .
Rooms were comfortable with refrigerators and microwaves. Great breakfast. The staff were all very friendly, courteous, and helpful. Great, convenient location to everything the city has to offer and especially to Fort Jackson. The hotel is older and the rooms are due for updated renovations. The thoroughness of the vacuuming of the rooms was lacking.
Easy access on and off the interstate. The oat meal at the continental breakfast. The housekeeping was horrible. 1st day there, found a used washcloth hanging from the shower rod, the floor not vacuumed,(IE: a penny and paper shreds on the floor.), the towels and washcloths were dirty, there was no vent fan in the bathroom, the remote control fell apart and last but not least, the bathroom sink was totally disgusting. old cracked and rusty. It needed to be changed out 20 years ago. I will never stay in another Days Inn ever again. Very disappointed.
Convenient location Carpet smelled awful. No updates to the rooms. TV was way out of date.
Desk staff was friendly. Room was dirty. Bobby pin on carpet, paper.crumbs, dirt in chair (between cushion ). Noisy( machine noise).Desk staff untrained, unprofessional.
The king size bed was great. Not enough towels an soap to take a bath an they charged for the Internet which throught was a bit much.
The location was perfect for the event we were going to. The staff was friendly and helpful. The price was reasonable for the room. Nothing was wrong with the room or service.
Worst stay Ever ... List too long to write ...
It was right off of the freeway. I could not sleep. It was loud and people were coming and going.
It had a bed and a shower It was not worth----
I was here for a business trip. This place seems to have been revamped by the new management. The room was clean and the manager very friendly. I found my stay very comfortable and I would surely stay here again. There were a lot of people for the Fort Jackson graduation as I feel this is nearest and most economical option. ALL IN ALL WORTH THE MONEY PAID.
The staff was very nice. The toilet wiggled like it wasn't attached to the floor good. This is an older hotel that is in need of some much needed renovations.
Me and my wife spent the night at this place and had to get up the next morning and go to the va medical center. We checked in and went to our room. One bed had cover the other did not and to top it off we had no wash clothes. The coffe maker was brocken and had very little tp and half the ligths would work. Also the clock would not work at all.
The hotel is located right next to the Dorn VA Medical Center which was very convenient for me. It was not a bad location, right off of I-77 and not far from downtown. The room had a bad odor. The walls were peeling, the sound on the TV was only static. The bathroom curtain looked older then me (32 years). I was not impressed. Even for a cheaper room it could have been cleaner and neater.
I brought my one year old with me to see my wife graduate from basic training and booked this hotel, after checking in I got to the room, it was dirty, exposed wiring across the floor and the A/C barley worked. Two hours into being in the room the smell of marijuana filled my room and all of my neighbors were outside drinking all kinds of beer and booze definitely not a good place for an infant. I did not even stay the night, I got a room at the La Quinta Inn a mile down the road and had a great experience. Americas Best in Columbia South Carolina was Americas worst. Unless your a single guy lookin for a good time I do not recommend this place to stay.
Roach motel, noisy
Not Pleased At All! The toilet wobbled and there was actually an empty toilet paper roll shoved under the left side of the toilet to try to keep it balanced. There were significant cracks in the bathroom wall, hair in the bathtub, and a dirt foot print on the wall opposite the tub. The front door had a gap, the carpet was stained, and light bulbs were burnt out. Though the hotel has wireless internet, we had to stand outside of the room to get service. Plus, my cell phone (which is new by the way, got it earlier this month) only received service in the room in one specific spot. The beds are hard and small..... The lobby is about 15'x15' and has two small tables. The continental breakfast was not even worth advertising... The whole place just looks shady. The staff were not courteous, and the location isn't the best either.
near National Park I love your matress, when I got up 9:30 ,there is no breakfast. anyway, is good choice for congree Nation Park.
I was here last week for a business trip. The hotel is clean. Management is good and the entire experience was comfortable. I would say this place is value for money. I have stayed here before and the new management seems to have made some changes. Near Fort Jackson, WAL-MART, SEARS are at close distance.
