Pros (+) Convenient location for Birmingham new street station but at night it doesn’t feel safe
Cons (-) My first room was unbearably hot with no air conditioning, fan or even a window. I then asked to be moved to another room which in turn smelled badly of cigarettes. The room was old and dirty. Wifi is only available in the lobby and reception areas. Breakfast was overpriced for what it was and I wish I’d gone to McDonalds for breakfast instead. I wouldn’t stay there again even at a low price.

Pros (+) Location, some charm in old fashioned style.
Cons (-) 1 out of only 2 Elevators was out of service for the whole 3 days! Long waits. The remaining elevator at times had erratic functioning. No wifi in the room. Rooms are very old (some were being refreshed - paint only I think..), and run down

Pros (+) We stayed for one night, paid £40 so couldn't moan at that as other hotels in the city were much more. Rooms are very basic and you get what you paid for
Cons (-) Hotel seems to be stuck in the 70s with the decor, we had a room with no window and air con decided to turn itself off half way through the night.
