Hotel Carlos V is well situated for visiting most of the town, cathedral etc.It was an easy stroll to the Zocodover Plaza.Very attractive entrance area with comfortable settees! There was quite a lot of hammering and work noises but I expect that was only a temporary problem!
very noisey all night long, both nights,
clean hotel and non intrusive staff: clean rooms, the elevator worked
The room was very hot. I would leave the window open to cool it but would find it closed when I would return. I did not complain to hotel.
The Carlos was smack in the middle of almost everything we knew we wanted to see, and extremely close to a bar, Ludena, which is elsewhere named as having the best tapas in Toledo, and based on our limited experience (two days) I'd have to agree. There was one waiter at dinner who was downright rude - I've only travelled to a handful of countries spanning the globe and this man was rudest of all foreign waiters I've met. He was evenly offset by an extremely nice older gentleman at the front desk, though, and generally nice staff everywhere: hence my "good" score. Please remember to tip the maid a little extra for us: she was quite good but we forgot to tip her and are very sorry for that.
absence of internet connections
location was great. the staff was rather rude.
The location was terrific. I thought it was a little overpriced
the location. we did not get the type of room we booked (got 3 single beds instead of a double) and were told that was the only room left for the night. the room was smelly "musty". the door did not shut in the bathroom. little to no natural light in the room. room was located on the ground floor in the very back need all the service & office area's. overall very, very disappointing and as it was a not refundable offer there was nothing we could do like change or cancel our booking.
very good location
Interesting hotel in a good area Smoking allowed in the adjoining bar
we really enjoyed our stay at the hotle, the reception staff were very friendly and accomodating. Our room over looked the city and having a balcony was an added bonus. Location was excellent. We would definatly recommend this hotel.
Loved the old-world style and was particularly impressed with the dining area/restaurant in the cellar which had the feel of a mediaeval dungeon.
Location of hotel next to the Alcazar was fantastic. View from balcony was superb. Hotel was, in my opinion, not of a four star standard. Hotel was adequate in all respects but room was "tired" and needed brought up to modern standards.
We had a corner room on the 2nd floor that gave us a great view of the plaza and a nearby street from our balconies. We especially enjoyed watching the people on the plaza going about their daily lives as well as the two demonstrations that took place during our stay. The hotel was conveniently located so we could walk to all of the attractions that interested us. The staff was friendly and helpful. They answered all our questions even though we speak no Spanish and they sometimes had to struggle to understand us. WiFi was a bit weak in the room. It was faster in the lobby.
Location & kind staff the room was not equipped with a minibar
Our room had a balcony and chairs with a view of the rooftops - great for a glass of wine. Beds were comfy and breakfast was plentiful. Room architecture felt medieval with the heavy wood doors and red accents, definitely fit Toledo! I would recommend this hotel. Nothing.
The location was perfect in the downtown area The room was beautiful and spacious and very clean. Parking next-door was very easy, and was discounted from €20 to €14 for hotel guests. The front desk staff was very helpful in planning our tour through the city, as well as with any questions about our stay. The room was air-conditioned, although it was a struggle to keep the room cool. The temperature outside during our stay was 108°F,
parking garage was close by located at the top of a major hill so walking could be a problem for some
Great location and friendly staff. No WiFi internet and internet access not free. ALso beds are always twin rather than double in Spain !
This is a chic, modern hotel in a beautiful old building. It is right in the heart of the city, walking distance to all of the sights. The staff were very welcoming, friendly, and gave great recommendations for nearby tapas bars, restaurants, etc. There was a point when the hot water seemed to decrease. It didn't cause us too much trouble though, since it was so hot during our stay. The cool shower was refreshing. We loved this place, and will stay again.
Friendly well-appointed hotel near city centre Hard to get there by car
The location The room walls were too thin and you can listen other people TV´s
Location, cleanliness, overall comfort Reception staff seemed indifferent (at best) -- didn't take any interest in greeting guests.
It was located in the heart of town, clean as a whistle and very comfortable. No
The hotel is located in the very center of the town in a beautiful ancient building. Good price-quality relationship. Maybe the room was rather small, although it didn't affect our impression of the trip and of the hotel itself. The staff doesn't speak English at all.
Well located in the center of the old town. Has a parking facility for a reasonable price (10 euros) but be ready to drive in very small streets (you need to fold back the mirrors in several places). The parking is also quite small so you need to be very good at parking in small spaces between columns (easier with a very small car). THe view from the terrace on the roof is great. We were in a room in the older part of the hotel. The rooms in the newer section (from peeking in opened rooms during their cleaning) are much nicer.
Location, value for money and roof terrace
A delight - as a solo, ageing, female traveller - not to be stashed away in the equivalent of the doghouse, but to be given a room that was, in its own way, really quite special. Thank you, Hotel Santa Isabel.
excellent location - very near the cathedral - lovely terrace on the roof with fantastic view
Superb location in the old town, interesting historic building that was thoughtfully modernised Excellent location meant that it was difficult to access by car and the garage was very tight and required careful manoeuvring - but helped by the staff.
Location to Toledo centre, train & coach links.
the closeness to the centre of Toledo, all toiletries were provided, clean & comfortable, friendly staff finding it
Convience and location was good. The resturant noise was horrible. The noise lasted to midnight and we had a baby that needed sleep
Excelent location just beside the old city walls, very nice and helpful desk staff, the hotel clean, cozy, nice atmosphere. Very good and cheap dinners.
Great location; friendly staff and free parking on weekend. TV set in the room was too small. Cafeteria was usually occupied by smokers. Mediocre breakfast.
Nice staff, good location and very clean
The hotel was fairly close to the city. very good value for money. we easily found parking on the street (3 euros for 18 hours). Very good experience overall Breakfast was simple but then again it was included in the price of the room.
comfortable room, pleasant staff was ready to help you in any cases breakfast was the poorest I've ever seen at a 3-star hotels
Simple clean hotel close to town centre The usual poor spanish breakfast. Not that easy to find by car.
helpful staff, good location the decor (everything was very dark) the smell of cigarette smoke
Toledo is a lovely old town with a wonderful Cathederal. It is great to explore all of the lovely streets
It's a nice little hotel in a really great location (we could see the cathedral from our window), the staff was friendly, breakfast was very good for the price twice lower than in other hotels where we stayed during our trip around Spain. Most of the staff speaks English, some of them are very good at it. I did not take my laptop on this long trip, and thus I could not use 'free Internet in the room' feature. It would be nice to have a computer in the lobby or somewhere for the common use to check emails. This is not a complaint, the staff helped me to get my emails anyway, but if they had the PC for customers I would not be intrusive to them.
The location was excellent-just as it was portrayed. A charming little hotel that I would thoroughly recommend to friends etc.
Nice rooms, and good breakfast. It is really centrally located in toledo - 5 min walk to main plaza. No wifi, and the typical spanish beds are too short my my 188cm height
The staff were very welcoming and helpful, especially with parking which is not easy in the narrow streets. Great location. Would recommend highly.
Great location, good value The holtel staff take a bit of warming up
Excellent location. Helpful pleasant staff who showed caring. And had internet hook-up.
pleasent hotel, friendly staff, and easy access to sightseeing
Excellent location right next to The Cathedral which serves as visible landmark to guide you back to the room without using a map. I did not try the breakfast and I did not see the bar open but there are so many places to eat and drink in Toledo you don't really need these at the hotel. I would stay there again if I return to Toledo. Nothing.
Hotel Eurico is in a fantastic location in the old city part of Toledo. It is very close to Plaza Zocodover, the Toledo Cathedral, and many cafes, restaurants and shops. Parking was a bit difficult as there are no reserved parking spaces for hotel customers. We parked downhill from the hotel, about a five minute walk, but it was free parking.
The location was perfect. We appreciated the hotel letting us in our room very early in the morning when we arrived after a night bus ride from Seville. The lobby is worn looking. Also having to pay for 30 min. of wireless was not what we had experienced in any of the other hotels on our trip.
Very sweet woman at the front when we arrived, spoke english, but also responded in Spanish when I spoke to her. Location was great. Double paned windows kept out the noise. View was very nice. Room was nice sized and very clean. Wifi worked great. Breakfast was spendy and the coffee there was bad. But there were several places within walking where you can get breakfast for under 3 Euros each. For that reason, I don't understand why it was so expensive to get the breakfast at the hotel. It was 8 Euros a person and it wasn't super fancy.
The hotel Abad has a very pleasing ultra modern design and is very easily accessible with free parking within a few metres - we will definitely return
The beautiful romantic settings
Very helpful staff, nice decor and good location. The room could have had some better lighting
quiet, nice interior, nice design rooms small rooms, dark because of small window
Location, fit for purpose, helpful friendly staff Nothing negative but breakfast bit basic
Stylish small boutique hotel in brilliant location with secure parking close by. Charming characterful room. Adequate breakfast. Excellent value for money. If you like coffee then avoid it at breakfast!
The hotel is a nice base for a citytrip in Toledo. It has an original and intimate atmosphere. The third bed (for a party of three) was very basic and saggy.
Perfect location, you can walk to all the sites. Shopping locations and restaurants are all around. Staff was nice, room was big with two bathrooms. Beds were small and uncomfortable. Free parking is non existent. If you have a small car the hotel has parking for a fee, but for a mid size and up plan on paying around 17+ euro per night to park elsewhere.
the hotel is right at the historical center
The staff there were extremely helpful and nice. They really put forth great effort to help me out. The water in the tub and sinks didn't come out if someone else was taking a shower and for a day and a half the water was brown.
Good location. Room and bathroom very small.
Ideally located to visit the city of Toledo. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The garage is basically unaccessible except for the smallest cars. That's not really the hotel's fault but one should be warned.
Friendly staff, clean room. Close to the historic center.
Great hotel, friendly staff and in the center of the city.
While the hotel it's self was ok, because of it's location on the main road, the room was very. very noisy. Only the noise.
location was good. rooms clean. no ice, no airconditioning despite advertisement, loud noise from street since windows HAD to be open, no ventilation/air movement. ROOM WAS HOT.
Staff really unpleasant, you are much better off booking at Eurostars (an example) for same fee Staff, TV did not work, views not existing, far from clean
actually the hotel itself is quite ok, Service is not good as before i checked out the housecleaner took my private stuff away without leaving a message! When I asked the reception who couln't believe my stuff was missing besides could not speak English. However I was lucky finally found my stuff back!
The location was great as everything was within a short walk. The bathroom was great and I enjoyed the breakfast too. Very small bedroom, barely bigger than the bed.
toledo is a fantastic place to visit for 2 or 3 days. hotel is in a good location. friendly staff. breakfast limited. single room was a bit small with basic single bed
Continental Breakfast, Luggage storage after checkout, helpful staff, orange juice
Location. Value. Breakfast variety was minimal. No parking.
Free internet Better breakfast
the hotel was located in a good area to see the tourist items we came to Toledo to see. I would have like to have a coffee bar. and would have like to have a little bit friendlier staff, but people in spain I found are not the most friendly.
The location of the hotel was ideal.
Internet access I had specified not smoking but was assigned to a smoking room. Fortunately this was corrected but I wonder what would have happened if none had been available
Good location - spacious rooms
The position of the hotel, central for visiting the sites It was a little noisy internally , the walls must be quite thin and our room was positioned between two bathrooms and we could hear the people in the adjacent rooms showering ect., However the position negated these problems
The staff was incredibly friendly and the breakfast was more than adequate for the price. The walls were so thin. We could hear our neighbor's conversations through the wall and someone getting sick at about 5am. Bring earplugs to get sleep.
The location was perfect. It was right off the main square, but not noisy. The location was great. It was right off the main square.
The location was great, right in the heart of the city. Close to shopping and all attractions
The helpful staff Noise
Hotel is OK, rooms are small but people is very nice
The reception staff were a little abrupt, however, we enjoyed our stay at Hotel Las Conchas. It is convenient to everything. no
staff was accommodating and provided other information regarding the city
Welcoming and very centrally located.
The hotel's position was excellent - perfect for exploring Toledo.
The hotel is small and very different with a great Spanish feel to it. It would habve been nice to have fresh fruit at breakfast.
Great Atmosphere, very central location (2 minutes from the Cathedral)
the hotel was perfectly located with easy access to all the attractions in toledo. the hotel had charm and the room was very nice and impecable.
Location - our room looked onto the Cathedral, the dining room was on the veranda overlooking the city. Location !!! We were traveling by car and there is no parking in the area - the hotel is in the city centre at the Bottom of the hill. Therefore we has to park on the top of the hill, put overnight clothes in bags and bring them down to the hotel. Not a problem for younger knapsackers but for an older couple was a bit of a hike (post surgery) Nevertheless good hotel just keep this is mind.
Included adequate breakfast. Close to cathedral and other tourist sites. Interesting decor. Close to good restaurants. Quiet. Smell of insecticide. Dark downstairs room.
It is sort of romantic, being an old house which was renovated. The breakfast room has a great view. The bathroom was poor, without bath and bidet. Also there was a funny smell in the room when we turned the lights on.
The location was perfect for seeing the city and was within a minute's walk of the cathedral. The breakfast buffet and the dining area with an outside balcony was terrific and the views of the city from here were also great. The bed was a little hard and the noise of the cars driving directly in front of the hotel took a couple of nights to get used to.
charming, immaculately clean room. well located next to the cathedral. lovely view from the breakfast room. Heavy odor of chlorine bleach so had to leave window open.
Comfortable air conditioned rooms, excellent value, nice staff, right in centre of the old town of Toledo
The best location in Toledo for sites, shopping and restaurants. Clean rooms and great value. No elevator on ground floor.
Hostel Centro is in a fantastic location, and is ideal as a base for exploring the city. The room was clean, simply furnished, and perfectly adequate. As the lift starts at the first floor, I would not recommend this hostel for those who have mobility problems.
Just half a block off the Plaza Zocodover, this could hardly be more conveniently located, and the staff is very cooperative and welcoming. The top-floor terrace, large if bare-bones, offers a rooftop viewpoint on Toledo. There is a flight of stairs and then some before you reach the elevator.
Good location, easy to access Poor ventilation
The people at the desk were amazing and very friendly. They took the time to help with everything and took interest in who was staying there and looked forward to having us back.
how clean was it and its location there was no breakfast
Very central, nice people at the reception. A bit noisy (TV in the other rooms).
perfect location, friendly staffs,clean room.
Close to city center; very nice place - clean and confortable They could not stop the rain falling from the sky all the time we were in Toledo. The rest was perfect!
Easy access to old city. Interior noise from plumbing
loacation, good air conditioning, clean breakfast not included
Receptionist was most helpful, location was wonderful
Really good location at affordbale rates.
Staff friendly. Rooms clean and airy. Rooms not noisy. Close prioximity to tourist attractions and restuarant. I think that tea/coffee making facilities should be available in the room.
2 out of the 3 staff we encountered were extremely polite, and provided excellent service. The rooms were big with decent views. Good shower. Clean. All well looked after. The location is also good (it's uphill into town, but if you don't like hills, then Toledo is not for you!) - near to several great bars and restaurants. Could do with a hair dryer in the room! And was disappointed to see that the "double bed" was in fact 2 singles together - who are these couples who sleep so far apart on a weekend away? :-)
PROXIMITY TO OLD CITY. GREAT STAFF!!!!!!!!!!!
We were glad the hotel had arranged for our two rooms to be next to each other. My wife and I would have preferred one large bed rather than 2 singles.
We liked the cleanliness of the hotel and the location is fine - 5-10 minutes from the bus station and 5-10 minutes from the centre of town. no
Very good location, nice staff, good rooms, close to everything you need to see in toledo! i would stay there again!
The location is amazing, right near Puerta del Sol and there is a great little cafe nearby with porras and hot chocolate.
Very friendly staff and good localization. Rooms were clean and the space was ok.
we liked the location, very friendly staff, contemporary interior design, cleanliness, ability to park our car in the garage nothing
All four of us agreed on the fact that on our journey Hostal Sol was the best offer from value/price point of view. The surroundings have a romantic component with the castle right above it. Everything we were interested in was close. Next time we would choose Hostal Sol again. And by the way: we went to Toledo by accident, but now I say that this city is a must see. During our journey we were used to have free wi-fi. The hostel does not have, but you can go online in a place really close as the receptionist guided us there.
