Very comfortable and well organized hotel. Staff very helpfull and polite. -
Hotel is nice, but the staff, and especialy cleaning personal is for budged hotel.
It was clean, friendly and the breakfast was very good.
nice spacious rooms communal areas a bit faded and tatty.
Excellent central location Enormous bedroom and bathroom Slow hotel taxi, quicker to go out on street and order your own
Great service, huge rooms, good value for money Beds made of cast concrete
It was excellent. The hotel also upgraded our rooms without our asking and without extra payment. That was wonderful. The phone system did not work properly sometimes. (I could make calls with my mobile, so it was not such a big problem) And some of my colleagues had difficulty accessing the high speed internet (LAN).
Staff was great, Food was great too, location is great. Although I had confirmation from Booking.com the hotel could not find my reservation in there system!! Traffic can be a problem around the hotel.
hotel staff has been very kindly and useful for any request
The spa and health club were some of the best in the world. Had a super massage that made a new person of me. The staff were very cordial.
Very good staff, very clean and the central location. Breakfast was not included in the price and to have it seperately costed too much.
I liked the location, decor, linen Poor choice of channels on tv, should have free movie channels. No tea making in the room. Ridiculous mini bar prices.
Luxurious hotel in the centre of Sofia. Excellent hotel staff. Wonderful bed. Great view. Room service rather expensive however prompt.
Excellent location and very good service as employees are fully dedicated to customers. The only very bad point is the breakfast : medium quality and very poor choice, not cheap (21€).
The wide corridors and soundproof rooms.
very comfortable hotel all the staff only too pleased to assist food in the restaurant first class
Comfort of bed, television and silence Price of food and no parking
Large rooms, grand hotel Excessively expensive minibar....daylight robbery..stock up beforehand!
Very central location, next to the metro and the pedestrian area. No plugs near the bed to plug in cell phone.
They did not give me a room even though I had prepaid for it. Central Hotel appears to be running a "bait and switch" where they lure you in with a great low rate (in my case £45 for a deluxe room) and then when you show up they tell you they're full and they transfer you to a different hotel farther away (in my case the Ramada which is not a Hotel I ever would have chosen although the receptionists were nice and helpful). The lady at the Central Hotel check-in said "this has never happened before" but a receptionist at the Ramada (rolling their eyes) said it happens 2-3 times a month. Kayak.co.uk should be aware of this scam as it is damaging to it's reputation as a reliable booking service. This was my first visit to Sofia and only had one day so the whole experience wasted my time and left me feeling frustrated and taken advantage of.
The athmosphere was warm Nothing
helpful staff, central location need to walk up several steps to get to the elevator, which could be a challenge if you carry heavy bags
Staff very welcoming and polite and they spoke excellent english. Very helpful on arrival and on helping us with luggage etc. Very helpful in booking taxis to airport, althougfh unfortunately they did not turn up the next day! It was fine, there were cabs on the street they hailed for us instead. No transparent windows in bedroom, probably related to air conditioning efficiency, but we could not tell what the weather or the view was like! The ordered taxis did not arrive, but they hailed us two cabs. Unfortunately one of them overcharged us for the trip to the airport (20 lev vs the 13 lev it should have been) which was disappointing. Cab no. 91119 just in case!
The really good thing about this hotel is its location! Step outside and your in the middle of all the streets for shopping etc! there was no window in our room and thats ok if air conditioning is working properly. Also the fact that tea and coffee were not complimentary in your room, but had to be paid for
Friendly and efficient staff. Organised Airport transfers. Good clean linen on the Beds. Two Small Bars or Dining Room with good food Internet link can be very slow at times
Location was great for me, breakfeast was good and the hotel was very clean. Room was very small with no proper window and I would not like to stay in that room for a week. I was there on business for two nights and only used the room for sleeping.
Very close to everything. Poor breakfast
It was very central and had a very relaxed athmosphere
the big bed one blanket for a 2 person bed
location, flexibility of staff. I paid extra and upgraded to a better room, which I liked a lot.
cleanliness of your room
Very nice hotel, good service, great rooms with modern desgin. Hotel is centrally located on main shopping street, close to restaurants and bars.
The hotel was very cosy and excellently located. The staff friendly and the breackfast very fresh. Very nice room but too small and I would have liked to see some fresh flowers.
Nicely designed, very central, very helpful staff Sofia is hot in the Summer. Would have been nice to have a pool
nice art hotel, comfortable rooms, friendly staff, very central an quiet according to staff no double rooms with single beds; only ok if you are traveling as a couple
Comfortable bed, great blackout curtain, good wifi, modern design, artistic furniture, convenient central location, excellent breakfast Glass see-through bathroom was awkward, shower wasn't sealed well and flooded bathroom, temperature control didn't work well and room was always too hot or too cold, expensive compared to other 4 star hotels.
very nice hotel keep the good work breakfast is poor
Very nice location in the centre of Sofia. The interior of the hotel is really stunning. The mosaic, the furniture, the bad, the corridors.. not typical, but very nice. Design is all over the place. A nice bar to have a drink. The sub-level where you have to eat is a bit kitch.
helpful..friendly..bright and cheerful with excellent English. Room a little small, but it was just a two night stop over.
very nice room. location exceptionnel in center.
Excellent location, close to NDK and the Sofia downtown area. As a Starwood Platinum member staying in hotels two thirds of the year, I can tell you that this hotel is truly 3 stars. The TV can be bigger but: 1. This is Europe so TVs are small 2. Why watch TV in the hotel :)
Good location, near center of city, very cleaned, good price. The refrigator and the aircondition doesnt worked.(Room 503). Also at bathroom sometimes we had water for shower and sometimes stopped(for 5-10 seconds).
Exceptionally helpful staff
very central walking distance to plenty of sites/ bars/ shopping malls. Fine comfortable room. staff friendly Services :- no bar open on my particular w/end otherwise nice restaurent. Cleanlines:- carpet badly stained needs good shampoo.
Very central location, small rooms but tastefully decorated, very clean. Quiet. Staff helpful. The air conditionning was very loud (and woke us up everytime it switched on). The beds are small (160cm wide) and there are no twin beds rooms (i.e. for kids)
Nice room Very small hall. Small bathroom
The hotel is very charming and all in good taste and artistic. There's an excellent benefit-cost for it.
The location was excellent, right in the city centre. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful. Room was average size, very clean with nice bathroom and facilities. For 50 euro a night, this was excellent value and I would recommend it to anyone coming to Sofia for a short stay who needs a place to relax after a day of sightseeing.
Nice staff, wireless working perfectly, right in the centre
Exceptional choice!!!!! Nothing negative..Nothing at all..Free parking space, clean & comfort rooms, great staff, great location...I recommend it!!!!!!! Everything was Great!!! No complains what so ever.
Centrally located - Very good noise insulation - Wi-Fi free of charge - Professional Staff
Location Bed and shower size
The hotel was extremely well placed for the city centre. It was comfortable enough and clean but my stay was brief. My only complaint would be that the bed was a touch small for two, though I was on my own - so not a problem for me - but it was too soft and the pillows were well past their sell-by date.
This is the second time I visit this hotel. it is down town very close to all sightseeings and the market. The personel is very kind and helpful (english speakers) and the rooms very comfortable. I think this small hotel is the best choice for Sofia cause it's really cheap, clean and in a very good location. the small bathroom was a little bit annoying, but after my second visit I had already got used to it. Overall was really good for the money we paied.
Small hotel with helpful and warm staff
Friendly helpful staff
Location and Decor Had to keep window closed to sleep trams very noisy, no lift.
Location Too many stairs, shower in toilet and low beds
location; friendly personnel
Bathroom/toilet in 2sqm, no cabin at all No hot water on day, included continental breakfast poor
comfy beds, very good location room cold, breakfast not 'english'
Cool design of rooms No internet access in the room, No elevator for luggage
Employees were very nice and helpful. Transactions went smooth. None
Location is perfect for the price you pay. Trams on the Alabin Str. could be quite noisy early in the morning. Breakfast is extremely poor but very, very tasty.
Breakfasts were unimaginative and with no choice. Bathroom, although clean was smelly. Street outside was noisy.
Clean, nice location, big windows Breakfast
The location is unbeatable, The breakfast was poor.
The location is very good amc the tram stops in front of the hotel (tram 18 goes to central sattion). The price is good. Recepcionist staff very nice. The breakfast was very poor ( coffee served with a plastic glass) and staff in the restaurant don't speak english. It was the worst breakfast in 2 weeks travelling around all the country. Last 2 days we finish taking breakfast in other place! . Alabin street is very noisy and you must sleep with windows closed.
Friendly staff in this centrally located hotel in Sofia, rooms were clean and quite large.
I am glad to stay at this hotel. Its location is very good.
The relation quality/price is fine, moreover taking into account the location, which makes it ideal for a week-end trip to Sofia. The space in the rooms is quite small, and some showers only consist of a tap in the middle of the bathroom. The breakfast is not too good.
Only the location The hotel room was very dirty. We asked for another one (clean), they accepted finally to change it but the new room was also dirty. The walls were dirty, the carpets were full of stains. The breakfast is horrible, 2 slices of bread with egg, the breakfast room is extremely poor, dirty. We stayed in a luxury apartment and the bathroom didn't have bath or shower tube, we took shower on the bathroom floor!!!! This hotel deserves maximum 2 stars
