Pros: The room is great, bed is very large and comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped.
Cons: The shower was really bad. Needs a new shower head that is more than a drizzle and there’s no temp control for the water that does come out.
5.0 Okay
Pros: It’s a beautiful resort. Very high end
Cons: The beach is not great. Muddy waters and full of seaweed. Upon arrival at airport we were told the cab transfer would be $25 First time in Belize we found it was $25US after our ride All pricing has been quoted in BZ $ or otherwise clearly stated at get go. The reception went over rules, the key (actual key, not card)would be $50 US if lost. The towel vouchers $50 if lost and other fines stated. We had to sign many papers It felt like an ambush Then after 5 minutes of being here we were approached by a guy asking us if we would like a tour of the new hotel next door they were building. Because we were curious we agreed. The more he explained, it started to sound like a time share meeting. I asked and he assured us it was an ownership opportunity. He was very pleasant and we did get a free ride to secret beach, a free breakfast before tour , which was in fact a time share presentation. We declined paying $150K US for 1/12 ownership. Basically there getting $1.8 million for a 2 bedroom condo. There’s one for sale at this resort for $220 K for full ownership. It’s a no brainer We were rewarded with use of a golf cart for 24 hours which was awesome but lost 2.5 hrs of our vacation This was the last leg of our Belize holiday and was nothing like the 3 other places we’d been. The staff every where else were genuine and kind
10.0 Excellent
Pros: THe entire staff was amazing. Always smiling and say hello or good morning.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was fun and friendly plus sympathetic to the virus situation.
Cons: No time share sales please!!!

Pros: Absolutely beautiful serene setting
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Coco Beach is a gorgeous property, from the rooms to the pools, beach area, dock, restaurants and lobby. Their amenities are great - we particularly enjoyed the bicycles for use free of charge. The property is located 3.5 miles north of San Pedro and it's easy to take a golf cart (which we didn't do but most people do) or ride a bicycle (did I mention, they are free). There are restaurants up and down the beach both north and south of the property, in addition to the restaurants at Coco Beach. Some are within easy walking distance. The pizzas for order from the main restaurant are delicious and they deliver right to your door. All the staff, from the lobby to the pool bar are friendly and super helpful. Particular shout outs to David at the front desk and Johan at the pool bar for being extremely kind.
Cons: We were not impressed with the housekeeping. Our dirty towels were taken away but not replaced on several occasions. We went to Belize to dive so we tried to make all the arrangements with the on site tour company in advance of arrival but they were not helpful at all - they could only tell us about excursions such as jungle tours, zip lining, and tubing. We didn't get any dive shop recommendations from them so we had to do our own research and make our own arrangements which worked out fine. The dive shops we chose were great and we had a wonderful time. At the very least, it would have been nice if the on site tour company had provided us with a list to choose from.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The resort itself was very nice! Very well laid out. The resort was very pricey but very nice
Cons: It’s outside of town and there’s a toll going in to town. Our wifi never worked the whole time and although we were adequately compensated this should be mentioned. The prices were all very steep but it is to be expected on resorts.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Food, thurs nite guitar player, friendly and helpful staff, proximity to downtown
Cons: No water for shower...had to go to another cabin to clean up; electricity went out for a couple of hours in the early morning causing us to wake up at 6am because we were too warm; concierge misled us on the relative cost of renting a cart from Mahogany Bay vs another rental company (we were told the lower rental company rate was for 8 hrs, not 24 (not true) the rental rate did not include insurance (not true) and the cost of gas would equalize MB price with rental company (not true); we would be inconvenienced with having to return the rental (not true - they came to MB) to pick it up.)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It was confortable and beautiful. The food was good. The private beach is amazing.
Cons: It is so far from the City. Need to take and pay a taxi or hire a golfcar (not for Free!) every Time you just want to see something else. But they offer the taxi to Come the first Time! The private beach need to take a (Free) boat for 15 minutes. Amazing but if you want to lay on the beautiful bed over the water (as you see on the site), you have to pay 70 US$! So you pay, and pay and pay!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property was beautiful and the staff was very accommodating. The property was very clean and comfortable. It’s very safe and in a decent location in the island the island is small so everything is only a golf cart away!
Cons: The curb appeal .. Beautiful layout
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Private beach access
Cons: The lagoon with crocodiles around the property
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely, tasteful and well-maintained. Wonderful, responsive and friendly staff — to a person.
Cons: It felt a little “isolated” somehow, but I’m still not quite how better to describe that. I usually think isolated is good, but I wondered if there would be enough to entertain me if I didn’t do the offsite expeditions I did. Someone said it felt a bit like the “Truman Show” since so many units are identical and perfectly maintained. That comment resonated somehow...but I want to make clear it was beautiful, well-appointed and staff were top shelf.
8.8 Excellent
Cons: The bed was not comfortable, hard as a rock

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The view and proximity to the beach.
Cons: The blinds in the bedroom (3B) were broken. The indoor restaurant did not have a good atmosphere, we never stepped in that restaurant.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Our stay at X'tan Ha was amazing! The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly and readily gave suggestions for things to do and places to eat. Our casita was a great size and very clean. The entire property was very well-maintained. The beach was small, but never felt overcrowded and the kayaks and paddleboards were easily accessible. It was a great stay!
Cons: The only negative was how far the resort was from the town of San Pedro. However, renting a golf cart was very easy and we were able to easily get to Secret Beach and some nearby restaurants. We were also able to catch the water taxi to get to and from town and were picked up by tour guides for all of our excursions, so the location was not a huge issue!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The individual houses were great and two air conditioners in the house. Everything you need to cook food is in the house including free coffee. The pick up from the water taxi was great.
Cons: The cost of drinks and food was quite expensive. It made more sense to rent a cart than to eat at the restaurant on the resort.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property. The manager and front desk staff were very kind and welcoming. The beds were very comfortable and we were happy to have water available and a little kitchenette.
Cons: The restaurant and bar staff were not welcoming - either rude in mannerisms (eyerolling when we asked for cups) and tried to over charged us for food and coffee. The manager took care of it for us and we were very grateful for that but after having already stayed on the island for 6 days, the hospitality was noticeably different.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable bed and great linens. Great staff and very friendly. Enjoyed seeing the iguana walk around place and we named him Iggy and fed him fruit. Great being able to cook your own meals.
Cons: The water here is way different; it has a weird smell. I am not sure where the water comes from.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: By far, the staff made our trip! Very friendly, welcoming and hardworking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The facilities were top notch and the staff was exceptional. The location is a bit far however the staff was helpful in providing transportation, dining and recreational options.
Cons: Not many amenities or options within walking distance. Closest grocery/convenience store is 2 1/2 miles away and reception area did not provide many options for snacks or beverages. Golf cart rentals are available although the price is nearly double the going rate in San Pedro town.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: X'Tan Ha is amazing. It's a terrific getaway location, perfect for when you mostly want to be able to walk out onto an amazing beach, relax at a pool, and drink yummy drinks on the pier. - The beach opens up with clear warm water for a good space that's shallow, so perfect for just lying out or playing with the kids. After that there's a patch of seaweed which brings in a lot of fish so it's super easy very rewarding snorkeling. You can take kayaks and stand-up paddle boards for free out past the seaweed and within 10 minutes, you're in the clearest, most turquoise-glass water I've ever seen, and it's not even more than 8 feet deep for hundreds and hundreds of meters. The water is seriously magical and it's an enormous area of pristine crystal clear water over white sand. - There are two pools, one shallow one more for lounging or just lying down in the water next to a nice pyramid water feature, and one more for swimming. - The staff are wonderful, incredibly friendly, super helpful, and always happy to make your stay terrific. - We were lucky to get a free upgrade to an ocean-view room. The room itself was very decent. Came with a full-size fridge and a mini stove. Bed was comfy. Couch was a futon, was comfy too. The view from our second-floor balcony was incredible. Truly, waking up to this ocean view is worth it. - The food at the restaurant was pretty good, with a very decent breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu, with lots of options. I wasn't a fan of their spinach, but their shrimp and fish preparation was very tasty and had some really tasty sauces. Vegans would have trouble, vegetarians don't have many options. - The wifi was a decent speed and seemed to be well-reaching as far as I could tell. Around 2 Mbps up, 2-4 Mbps down. We had it reliably in our room.
Cons: If you want seclusion from the town scene, with a phenomenal beach, the location is perfect. But it is far away from town (about a 30 minute drive). This is obviously not the property's fault at all. There are some restaurants and bars closer than that (about a 5-10 minute drive), but if you did want to check out other places to eat and drink, you'll probably want to make a day of it. The golf-cart rental was also quite pricey ($50 US for four hours, not including gas). So all this to say, the location is not a real negative because it depends what you're looking for; just something to be aware of. - You'll also need to adjust to the tap and bath water; it's treated salt water. The scent and taste is quite noticeable. They do provide a complimentary drinking water cooler in the room; I ended up using that water when brushing my teeth. But the shower uses the treated salt-water.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The resort was peaceful and very accommodating. Was great for feeling secluded and out of the way. The resort was very clean and well maintained and had a very homie feel to it. Would recommend for travelers looking for a more remote getaway on San Pedro.
Cons: I didn't do my research as well as I should and didn't realize how far away from town the resort was. A 30 min golf cart ride was fun but also a bit of a hassle. I didn't like the salt water shower and pool. Sometimes you just wanna rinse off the salt and that was definitely the case for me. The restaurant was over priced and very run of the mill, nothing special better options down the road closer to town.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Belizean Shores is a nice property that is well maintained and in a great location. The condos are nice, a little dated which we liked because it doesn’t look like all of the new cookie cutter resorts - it feels like it belongs in Belize. Pool and beach areas are gorgeous.
Cons: Because they are upgrading the property we ended up listening to power drills and construction each day - one entire afternoon they were replacing our air conditioning unit so they drilled right through the wall! Another day we returned to find three men and tools in the living room replacing the TV system and just wish we would have known.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is a great place to feel away from the hustle and bustle of San Pedro. The beach was clear and, minus the construction interference next door one day only, it is a very walkable enjoyable beach area. The grandchildren enjoyed the land sports available for free. The water was too choppy to enjoy the free kayaks and boards.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We loved the amenities, my son played basketball, kayaked, and we hired board games for the nights we spent in the villa. The shuttle service was great too. The villa itself was wonderful and very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay here.
Cons: We initially stayed in a superior sea view, but there was no view so we upgraded to the beach front at extra cost. Was slightly disappointed as we hadn’t budgeted for this and original view wasn’t as advertised. Still we are happy with our decision as it was well worth it and the villas themselves are lovely. The resort is 3.5 miles out of town which doesn’t sound much, but factor it in when planning your activities/meals out.
7.5 Good
Pros: Everything
Cons: Everything was fine.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We loved our stay at Belizean Shores! The property was beautiful, especially the pool which we enjoyed multiple times a day. There is also a beautiful dock with hammocks over the water. Tennis court, bikes, golf cart rentals were also great, as was the fruit stand with fresh coconuts and the food and drinks we ordered poolside. The grounds were always immaculate and the staff very friendly and attentive. Also, the onsite tour operator Tuff E Nuff was amazing -- and right at the dock, super convenient!
Cons: The shower water temperature fluctuated often and the tap water is not desalinated, though they provide you with big jugs of water for drinking. This didn't bother us, but just something to keep in mind. And nothing to do with the hotel, but just want to mention that we were there in early October and the mosquitos were in full force, so bring bug spray!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good value and great staff. Rooms as advertised and comparable to others. Liked the pool and swim up bar set up
Cons: Nothing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: This place is amazing, friendly staff, great amenities, and right on the water! We will definitely be back again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved this property. It was a self contained apartment right on the beach. Staff were incredible, rooms were sealed from insects and very safe and secure. There was lots to do from the property itself - Tuff e nuff tours right from the dock were amazing and then the games etc at the hotel were fab. We loved it here! Staff were so so lovely - Roberty in particular!
Cons: The WiFi wasn’t the best but what you’d expect on an island in Belize. There wasn’t a restaurant but nice food stalls across the street and truck stop was a short golf cart away
7.4 Good
Pros: The staff is very friendly and helpful. The grounds are kept up nicely. The location is good. Far enough from the town, but easy enough to get to town. The pool and bar is on the premises. The views are good and they have an excursion office on site which makes it easy. The reef with use of their free kayaks make it easy to get to the reef and snorkel. It is a good value for the price,
Cons: The units inside are showing its age and kitchen facilities are sometimes not complete or not working. The beds are somewhat comfortable, but need newer mattresses instead of a memory foam topper. There is no onsite restaurant, but many near by which helps.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent. The staff was extremely friendly and most accomodating. Three great swimming pools, but not as loud and busy as some larger resorts. It was quaint, somewhat quiet, but still enough activity to be lively, and fun. We loved our beach cabana where we could literally step out onto the sand from the cute little patio. Beautiful sunrises every morning. The restaurant was good. The bar was great and the spa services were excellent. We did not book any excursions but you can book anything you like right at the resort.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The inside of our condo was beautiful. Our kids felt like they were staying in a palace. Comfortable beds and plenty of air conditioning and a humidifier, which we didn’t use but would have made things better. We had a washer and dryer as well which was nice to get cleaned up before the trip home.
Cons: The tub on the balcony didn’t heat and the jets were very weak so we didn’t use it. The outside of the property looked unimpressive and run down, but the rooms were great. It would have been nice to have something to have a basin of water outside the room to clean the sand off. Some rooms had this. We found a cleaning bucket that did the trick.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a nice big room on the second story which fit 8 of us easily. It was a pretty, clean and comfortable room.
Cons: Checking out was a process. Make sure you get down to the front desk early for check out.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing, it is nasty and disgusting
Cons: Smell of sewer. Filth everywhere even in the water. Garbage on my porch, in the hedge, in between the rooms and on the beach. Broken air conditioner, soap dispenser, no bed cover, no water, I had to beg for drinking water when I got back to my room because housekeeping didn’t service my room. Avoid this place at all costs. Less expensive is not always good. The front desk resin refused to give me water and told me I would have to buy it at the store in the morning. The bartender gave me 3 bottles and told me to ignore him. ALL BAD!!!!!.....,,,
5.0 Okay
Pros: The room was clean and comfortable
Cons: The restaurant was horrible. There was no casino. The drinks were super weak.

Pros: A beautiful location and friendly staff
Cons: They didn’t give shampoo and if you want it, you have to pay for it.

Pros: The pool.
Cons: The beach was very inaccessible and the toilet in my room was inoperable even after the maintenance staff tried to fix it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing staff! Wifi in room wasn’t great that was the only draw back but I will always go back to a place that has friendly staff
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Best clean pool with view of sea. Very well maintained, pretty, tidy. Great housekeeper. Snorkelling tours do pick up from resort pier.
Cons: For majority of one day, we had no running water in our cabin which was inconvenient. Toilet worked fine so we challenged staff to figure out what was wrong with tap and shower.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The cabins were spacious, clean and comfortable. Nice pool and bar
Cons: Beach has nearly been washed away. Internet was very intermittent.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location and view of the beach was fabulous and the accommodation had everything I needed. Staff were kind and helpful. Highly recommended.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff are friendly and attentive. Accommodations are pleasant and well laid out. Grounds are well maintained.
Cons: Great for relaxing but a bit far from town if you’re looking for nightlife.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: This resort is on the North end of the island and a 45 minute golf cart ride away from town. It's very quiet and relaxed with great amenities and even better staff. Customer service was excellent! Breakfast was delicious as well!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All staff were friendly, the on site dive shop was terrific and flexible. The rooms were large and comfortable. The deck had a terrific ocean view. We would definitely recommend for those who want quiet surroundings. The golf cart ride is long and bumpy, but we had a blast riding to town each day.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The entire staff was very pleasant, and over the top helpful. The room was very clean, the check in-out process was seamless. The landscaping was very neat and tidy.
Cons: The restaurant facility needs a bit of help. More than not, when the food arrived it had cooled off, not many choices, same menu everyday. No Specials. Although many restaurants close by did have very good food.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: If looking for quiet and relaxation, this is the place. It's beachfront and had amazing views. Staff is really nice and will give good recommendations on what to do in town. Also, this place is for couples mainly but as a single person it didn't really bother me.
Cons: The distance from town, it's 35 mins away. You'll need to rent a golf cart to get around. There is a local water taxi that will also get u to town but it's hours aren't too convenient. Also, wish more Belizean or Belizean inspired food was on the menu.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff - every one was so kind - Stuart and cleon. Everyone seemed happy to be there. Loved the tuff e nuff staff whom we dived with for 4 days in a row. We stayed at 2 other properties after costa blu and we missed being there for sure!
Cons: Would love loved a real beach vs the fake but otherwise, it was great! Would also love to see fair rental car rates for guests.
7.9 Good
Cons: To leave the place is expensive. 40 to 50 USD
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Food and drinks were excellent. Staff were very helpful, accommodating and friendly
Cons: Nothing

Pros: This a lovely relaxed hotel on the sea coast with really friendly and helpful staff. You can use the hotel to relax or go on their fishing or smocking trips which are excellent. It has a lovely bar area and the restaurant food is the best we found in San Pedro.
Cons: The hotel has lovely pools but most of the sea near the hotel is really too shallow in.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Magical setting on the ocean with warm winds blowing the graceful palm trees. Fantastic dinners outside their very good restaurant, overlooking the pool and the moonlit ocean. Very nice and comfortable room, although no TV. That made for a more romantic getaway! Gini was a great waiter for breakfast and dinner and very engaging for conversation. Front desk, other waiters, Antonio the bellman and everyone else were all very helpful and delightful. We'll be back!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Relatively small resort and therefore quiet. Great for relaxation
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The restaurant in the hotel was amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The facility was easy to manage, and the pools were great.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff at Victoria House was the real star. They were extremely friendly and appeared to really want the traveler to have a great experience. Food was good, and the service was great.
Cons: The seaweed on the beach is a bit of an issue. The staff worked everyday to remove it but the fact that you can’t walk directly into the beach is a it of an issue. In conversations with other travelers this is an issue all along San Pedro.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent food and service. Bed was very comfortable.
Cons: I would have liked a clock in the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent! Continental breakfast was very nutritional and excellent quality. Regular menu was even better. Dinner was also excellent and compares similarly with the best restaurants on the island. Staff was amazing! Your training program is a good one, because everyone was friendly, professional and sincerely interested in making our stay the best experience. I think partly because the Belizean people are just so nice, sweet and understand the economics of tourism on the island.
Cons: The only thing was the fridge was tilted forward causing a bottle of wine to roll and break when opening the door. I was later upgraded to a beautiful unit with a kitchen for 3 nights. Thank you!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The grounds and pools were amazing. The bar and restaurant on site are some of the best in the area, and they have everything you need from bikes to snorkel rentals. The place is just beautiful.
Cons: Not much to not like. Maybe one else or two instances of staff being slow or nonchelant, but that's just the island I think.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Staff at Victoria House are amazing and so friendly and accommodating. the resort is clean and the grounds are kept in immaculate condition. We will be back!
Cons: not a thing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The combed white sand beaches shaded naturally by coconut trees. The extra large shower stall with room for two. The restaurant had fantastic cuisine with local lobster dishes and other with Belizean twists. The service was concierge level at every point. We enjoyed 2 fantastic snorkeling excursions that left right from our dock. Great morning view of the sunrise.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great and location was even better.
Cons: Water pressure in the room was week.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Food was the bomb! Warm welcome. Service and attentiveness and friendliness of staff was unmatched! They served you anywhere and everywhere on the property - including on the dock. Always promptly attending with a smile. Total relaxation. Hotel picks you up from the airport, drops u off, arranges all trips, scuba pickup right off the private doc. Superb!!!! Beds and pillow super comfy, friendly staff, abundance of towels, two pools including an infinity pool!
Cons: The overcharging overpricing on food and drinks was tacky. They charge $5 US to "split" a meal and put it on another plate. Their "complimentary" breakfast is worst than what you would find at a Motel 6. One of their employees taunted a beautiful iguana, stepped on its tail on purpose and ripped it off -- horrifying the guests who saw. Needless to say once we all complained this employee was not seen again on the property.

8.1 Excellent (160 reviews)
AED 510+
Overview Reviews
Nestled on a secluded beach overlooking the Caribbean Sea and Belize Barrier Reef, Sapphire Beach Resort is the ultimate tropical beach getaway. Located 10 miles north of San Pedro Town on the island of Ambergris Caye Belize, youll delight in the privacy and serenity of what feels like your own private beach.
7.1 Good
Pros: Secluded beautiful. The staff are helpful and accomodating. Room is nice and clean. They have 2 kayaks and some fishing poles. No other water sports or activities other than what the beach and the 3 swimming pools provides. There is a free boat that goes into town once per day and comes back once per day. On most days. Otherwise you can take a water taxi that is 40$ per person per trip.
Cons: What they do t tell you until you arrive is that what looks like roads are un paved and rough. This location is remote so get your groceries and liquor before you go and there is no renting a car. You can rent a golf cart or a moped but it is like 100$ per day and gas is hard to find and sometimes the roads get washed out. The tiki bar there is expensive and watered down drinks and fake powdered mixes are used. Kitchen has a great cook but it can be expensive. Also location is almost on the farthest north side of the island and not near the main part of town. This is not necessarily a bad thing but closer to town would have been better.
8.0 Excellent
Cons: Breakfast included in the price is embarassing point of this nice and not unexpensive resort. Restaurant doesn´t belong to the property. It´s suprisingly run by third party and for the clients who have the breakfast included in the price offers just limited choice argueing that the resort payes them less money than clients who buy the breakfast themselfs directly at the restaurant. Nobody tell you that in advance. So be prepared for that.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Sapphire resort, located about 10 miles N of San Pedro, was quiet, lovely and fun! They had free rental gear (bikes, kayaks, paddle boards, snorkel gear) to use in addition to an on-site tour company (No Worries). The grounds were emasculate. The room included a kitchen and even a washing machine! We enjoyed the quiet, the beach and the resort. I would recommend this place for sure!
Cons: N/A
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was amazing and the service was great. Especially Cello at the bar! Food was pretty great, too. The villa was nice and spacious. Pools were clean and nice, staff was so friendly.
Cons: Better water pressure in the showers - I know it's not that easy to do at a remote location. More access to taxi's... had to wait a little bit longer than expected.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and friendly atmosphere. All the staff went above and beyond, making this a very stress free stay. Although the Sapphire Beach is 10 miles from SanPedro Town, activities are planned, and you can rent golf carts to go to town on your own. ( Roads are very rough!) I enjoyed the peacefulness, however, my daughter is more of an urban lover, so this wasn’t her favorite. Water taxis are a better alternative to the rough roads. Food and drinks were always available and delicious! Great atmosphere, if you want to relax and unwind!
6.0 Good
Pros: The food was very good and the grounds were well maintained. The beach area was clean and uncrowded.
Cons: The activity desk was poorly manned as the young girl working was not knowledgeable about what they offered or what was available. No brochures or options to view. Minimal non-motorized water equip. Towels were very limited unable to get towels for 2 days. Buffet was good but no other options as the 1 restaurant closed when there was a buffet.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place is amazing! Went there for a weekend getaway with my wife, the staff was very helpful and attentive from the start (they actually showed they cared !) the place was clean and we had an amazing time there, Will deffinetly be comming back!
Cons: Stayed there too short
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The accommodations were wonderful. We enjoyed the options of going to the beach or staying at the pool. The bar and restaurant were outstanding and the staff were simply amazing (Tony, Jessica, Shelly, Ethan, William). We went on a snorkeling trip through No Worries Tours with Edward and Alphonse, and were treated to a safe and memorable experience! We were here for our 25th anniversary and highly recommend.
Cons: There is nothing negative I can say about the property. The only negatives are related to getting around on the island, which are unrelated to this beautiful resort.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a beautiful setting, great restaurant loved our rooms!
Cons: Only thing that could use improvement was water pressure in the shower and it was worth dealing with
8.3 Excellent
Cons: Very far from town, which wouldn’t be a problem except there is little to do at the resort. It’s more of a collection of condos with a central bar and restaurant. The staff is friendly enough, but the dive shop guy has no people skills. I don’t think they are exactly affiliated, but you have to go through him to get the kayaks and paddle boards, so I’m gonna complain about him here. Unnecessarily rude and uncompromising, does not care about making guests happy.

Pros: Staff was pleasant, accommodating. Loved Anna from the front desk. Beautiful beach views. Located close to everything, but not to close.
Cons: Lobby closed at 4pm each day. Security did little to curb, late night noise at the pool. No phone numbers on how to get hold of someone after hours.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: It was nice and quiet just what we were looking for. Staff was so friendly, helpful, considerate. Restaurant was awesome, food was amazing very tasteful. Enjoyed our stay. Just an idea for dessert at restaurant "bread pudding with brown sugar caramel sauce it is amazing!!!
Cons: Seaweed and garbage at beach but you can't control that. Dogs wandering around on the beach. Menu in restaurant should show pricing in Belize $$$ and US $$$.
7.9 Good
Pros: The view from the balcony is lovely and the living room is cute. The staff is really really friendly and the service and quality of the food in the restaurant is OUTSTANDING. My boyfriend and I had the loveliest dinner we have had in a while there. So delicious.
Cons: The room did not smell nice upon arrival and there is no TV in the bedroom area. They were also doing work on my air conditioning at one point and when the man outside knew I was inside, he knocked and then tried to open the door and come in himself without me prompting him to. Luckily I had locked it. The wifi in our room was also non-existant. As was the cell service.

Pros: Staff made the holiday - they were so obliging and friendly. Breakfasts were very good - room was very comfortable with everything we needed. Wonderful location - beautiful beach and near supermarkets and restaurants.
Cons: Everything was fine
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great, friendly, helpful staff. Great cleaning service. Conveniently located. Good onsite restaurant.
Cons: Water pressure was a little low and the place could use a little fixing up/repairs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a large beach front unit with a spectacular view. It was quiet, away from the hustle of downtown, which we like. Two pools. It was only about a 15 - 20 minute walk along the beach to all the bars, if that's your thing. Everything was clean and roomy. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. It's not a ritzy, high-end hotel, but comfortable and relaxing. Great value for your money.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Right on the beach in San Pedro.
Cons: Certain amenities didn’t work...microwave, TV that could be intermittent, hardly any dishes.

Pros: very friendly staff Loved the breakfast burrito! Liked the swings in the water. Liked the pier!
Cons: Liked the sandy area near the beach but the beach itself by the water was poor - sandbags were an eyesore. Did not like the pot holes on the road to town - terrible experience driving the cart to town. Did not like the fact that we were not furnished with bottled water in our room. Should be included with the stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The chef cooks wonderful food. I was surprised. The pool is deep enough to practice free diving in. The beach was consistently clean. The staff was SUPER friendly and VERY attentive to our needs. A great value for the price.
Cons: It is a great property but dated. Looking at the other properties with swim up bars and being barefoot resorts there were things that we wished we had at our resort. The managers should take a walk and see what the other resorts offer. Some have shaded walks with bungalows.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: 1) The staff - everyone is super friendly, supportive, and efficient. Special shot out to Pedro and Jennifer at desk, Hector, Shelby and Charlene in restaurant. 2) Location is perfect. Easy to get to downtown San Pedro and to Secret Beach. Or just stay on resort and sit on beach there. Beaches on Ambergris aren't so hot but these guys try to keep the seaweed at bay. 3) Our penthouse was great. Plenty of space for the two of us but I could imagine it would have been just as nice for another couple to join. Nice pool on terrace.
Cons: The negatives are very very minor in the grand scheme of things and in no way detract from what was an amazing stay.
7.1 Good
Pros: Accommodations were large. Pool was nice.
Cons: “Beach” was unusable because of smell from rotting seaweed.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The pool was amazing.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The suites are roomy, clean, well equipped and serviced regularly.
Cons: The food at the 0 restaurant for dinner is average. The pool food is good though
4.0 Okay
Pros: Lots of issues with the 3 bedroom villa. Refrigerator was leaking, toilet in master bedroom had a commode that was so loose that you were almost scared to sit on it, the master shower would go hot and cold without warning.
Cons: The villa was in poor shape and not worth the tariff charged
5.0 Okay
Pros: The room was spacious and the air conditioning fantastic. The pool is lovely.
Cons: The room smelled like Lysol every day. The beach had so much litter on it, I had to hang at the pool.

Pros: So clean. I'm a clean freak. I take my own Clorox wipes and wipe down airline seats and hotels. I didn't feel the need to do that here. Very surprised how clean I felt. They honored our request for extra towels the entire stay... This is a struggle for most hotels. Good WiFi. The futon couch turns into a comfy bed... Better than the real bed! I felt very welcome here with thoughtfully stocked kitchen. Air-conditioning is effective.
Cons: The air conditioning can't be adjusted from full blast. It was effective, however, but a periodic blast of cold air in the face while trying to sleep is upsetting. If you turn it off, it'll be 77 degrees in 3 hours. The bed was lacking firmness. I felt like the mattress topper was going to make a taco out of me.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfortable. The room was lovely. Everything worked as it should. The hotel is in a central location on the beach. It is not far from stores, restaurants, gift shops, most anything you need is within walking distance. We had a wonderful time.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very helpful and friendly. We loved the pool/sea view balcony and the comfy bed. The location was perfect as we were within walking distance of everything yet away from the noise. It can be pricey here but we booked early and got a good price.
Cons: Like every other place in San Pedro the beach is either non existent or unusable. There is a lovely dock area for suntanning.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, recently refurbished, great location between the waterfront and town. Nice mix of tourists and locals, unlike many resort style places that are insulated from local “color” and life. San Pedro town is quite funky and perhaps not for everyone; we enjoyed it and felt safe, even at night.
Cons: On site restaurant a bit basic, but many others within easy walking distance.

Pros: Everything about the stay staff was amazing!!@
Cons: I lost my key lol!

Pros: The kitchen facilities made it easy for us to save on breakfast and lunch in our room. Supplies of coffee and tea were provided. The hotel helped us with tour arrangements and hiring a golf cart. Staff were very helpful and nice.

Pros: My friend and I stayed in the 12 bedroom dorm which was very nice and comfortable. Easy to make friends in this room. Bathrooms were always clean and filled with product. Staff was very friendly and always willing to help with anything!!
Cons: Only one fridge for the entire hostel so it was packed full.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect stay. The location is magical being right on the beach. The hostel is huge. There's 4 different chill out areas including a beautiful deck over the ocean. The staff are really nice, beds are comfy and it's in an amazing location. We were really sad to leave. Oh and the food at the restaurant was really good!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: This was a great hostel. Great value for money. The location is right on the beach in a central area, can’t get better than that. They have their own dock to lounge on too which is great. The beds have curtains around them which is really nice for privacy. The staff were nice and helpful, always able to answer questions. There were quite a few people at the hostel while I was there so bathrooms got dirty quickly but someone cleaned everyday and did a good job. They had a hostel dinner night which was nice as well, good for solo travellers to meet people. Overall, this is one of the better hostels I’ve stayed in for the price.
Cons: The beds, like most hostels, could use an update. I could feel the springs pretty well so was a bit uncomfortable. The bathrooms had 3 showers but very few hooks (some were broken) so often there so no where to put hang your towel and the floor got dirty quickly despite someone cleaning everyday. Overall, still a great hostel with minor issues that more or less excepted of this kind of accommodation.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Not a lot.
Cons: I had a pizza from the bar downstairs and the meat was off! I was offered an apology but that was it. Also watch out for shady people coming into the bar area. It never felt safe much like the rest of San Pedro.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location was superb. Check in was super easy. Restaurant/bar made a fabulous drink. Prices very reasonable, open until midnight, and there’s even happy hour. Staff all was efficient and pleasant.
Cons: The mattress wasn’t very comfortable but when you’re tired you sleep anyway.
7.0 Good
Pros: Food at the bar was great, stuff super nice
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff greeted us with smiles and were very courteous of our long day. They allowed us to put our bags down, and told us they would be safe. We believed them as if they were our friends, I guess that's the vibe they gave off. The bartender didn't rob me when I tried paying American currency. The beds were super comfortable but the top bunks are for athletes only. The beach is literally in your bar. Great views. Awesome snorkeling right off the docks. Everything seems to be yours for the taking. No one told us we were where we shouldn't be, and we were obnoxiously every where. Don't swim past the socks, there's nothing to see and you'll die on the highway of boats. Dont get me wrong, there's a boat maybe every 2 minutes, but when your heads down.... If you're looking to save a buck, stay at the Snd Bar and walk into any of the expensive resorts and hotel bars you want. You can access all of them. Side note, a lot of the bars order food from sandbar!!!! I laughed when one of the workers from my hostel delivered my pizza to the bar down the street. The AC only turns on 9-9 but that climates you to the Caribbean weather which is so important when walking and biking the beaches. Don't pay more than 40 for a golf cart... Don't get one for more than a day. All you need is a bike and you'll be breaking speed limits, literally. Sorry golf art companies. you can reach most places via bike except the secret beach... It's a secret so you'll have to ask a local snitch. Everyone offers drugs at every corner. Not to kids that I saw, but to me, every f'ing corner, not at the hostel, this is downtown (lol, I'm trying to write a good review). The only way to get them to stop is to tell them you're a U.S. Cop. Worked for me anyways. Good luck and let go! You're on Vaca Cj
Cons: Everything I didn't like is a common trait in Belize. Sand bar seemed to me by get away from most of it though. They took care of their dogs.

Pros: I love the people who work at the hotel, particularly the friendly young men who helped with my bags and maintained the grounds. The location is great and hammocks so relaxing.
Cons: The fact that they hand us a remote, etc. and we have to return them. The limited supplies in bathroom ( ie. conditioner, ironing board, or, really anything at all), the very poor coffee in the morning, this is not a low end hotel, so I would expect more.

Pros: The location right on the beach in San Pedro was excellent! The staff at the hotel were super friendly & helpful- shuttle rides, excursion bookings, general questions & just chatting. Breakfast was an added bonus- nothing too fancy but very nice to have coffee, juice, pastries & fruit to get going in the morning.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Really well situated, and the staff is super helpful
Cons: Nothing it was very nice. If I would have known in advance for the free shuttle, it would have avoided a small trip under the rain until we found a taxi. (On our way in)
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was AMAZING. Different every day and so good each day. And eating right on the beach with gentle breezes blowing was out of this world! I would Highly recommend this place. The room was large and comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with all the glassware, plates & utensils we needed. Wonderful to walk on the beach to other places in town.
Cons: We were on the ground floor so if we left the curtains open anyone could see in. So we needed to have the curtains closed all the time, which was a bummer. But not really sure what can be done about it!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great located and spacious rooms, super friendly staff.
Cons: It is a bit expensive if you want to rent a car at the hotel.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very homey, plenty of space in suite, full kitchen, good breakfast, courteous and helpful staff.
Cons: TV signal was poor, could not watch a lot of the channels.
5.4 Okay
Pros: It was close to the ferry that took us to the island, so even though the hotel offered a free taxi, one could easily walk the distance. The breakfasts were good, with lots of fruit, coffee and local specialties. The pool was small but well taken care of.
Cons: Online we found nicer hotels in San Pedro with similar pricing. From now on, I will only book rooms with booking.com when the site says “refundable.”
10.0 Excellent
Pros: In town but on the quiet beach . The staff was friendly and very helpful in organizing snorkel trips
Cons: Slightly expensive for Belize but worth it
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We just returned from our stay at Blue Tang Inn and we absolutely loved it! We stayed in Suite #2 and it was spacious and had everything we needed. The location is perfect, right on the beach and close to many nearby restaurants and bars. Germain and Roger were wonderful and made sure everything was taken care of for us including booking all of our tours, making dinner reservations, and even driving us to one of our tours. We will be definitely be staying here again when we return to the island and would recommend others do the same!

Pros: My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Xanadu. We were particularly impressed by the warm and helpful staff (organizing tours, helping us in different ways, and the immaculate housekeeping). Our suite had everything we needed and more, and the grounds were well kept and beautiful (complete with some resident iguanas who live in the gardens). We can hardly wait to return to Xanadu!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I did some research and was looking for something away from tourist but with good service to get excursions booked. The fact that the resort aims to be eco-friendly was a plus and that it had a pool and hottub by the water was nice. The staff was accomodating and professional. the rooms were cleaned daily. The pool was cleaned daily and so was the property. It also helped that they provide a taxi to and from the ferry or the airport in san pedro at no extra cost. We also enjoyed the pier at sunset and sundown. We used the kayaks and paddle boards. Someone in our party did not know how to ride a bike, but we would have used them if she did.
Cons: The only part that I compromised on was there was not a beach where you can walk right into the ocean from the property. But we were able to walk to Ramom's village which had beach front.

Pros: Excellent food and service. Bed was very comfortable.
Cons: I would have liked a clock in the room.

Thank you!
