Nothing, Zero, Nada NOT 5 Star!
This place has cheated its way into getting a 5 star rating. The whole place is horribly dated and very ugly, particularly walking to breakfast and seeing dirty store rooms and kitchens on the way. The worst part about the place is the smell of smoke everywhere. I took the Presidential Suite initially which was frankly disgusting with regards the smoke smell. Big room OK, but the decor was so old and frankly depressing. Not only this, the main extractor fan from the kitchen downstairs ran straight up through the bathroom of the Presidential Suite, making it impossible to sleep before 11.30pm. I had to downgrade to a deluxe suite, which meant I could not have the meetings I booked the place for and the hotel did not give me any money off for this downgrade, as I booked non refundable based on the pictures. I felt totally ripped off and only after an hour long conversation with the manager and after staying 4 more days than I wanted to did he agree to giving me 4 days money back after staying for 9. He only did this because I agreed to leave my secretary there to finish her stay. This ruined my business trip while I had to get up at 5am to work elsewhere each day instead of have my team in the suite as planned. Don't stay in this hotel if you want 5 star! It is 3 star at best, and that's pushing it. They should be banned from booking.com for cheating customers.
The whole experience was excellent, from arrival to departure. a comprehensive buffet breakfast. very nice, friendly & helpful reception staff, the bed was a huge queen size and the room had a bath too. One thing that we were even more impressed with is that they kindly let us stay in the room until 1.30pm which was perfect as we were due to board a cruise ship at Piraeus port at 2pm and they kindly ordered a taxi which then arrived within 10 mins and we were off on another adventure. The room also had a fridge stocked with wine, cola, nuts and crisps, which was a nice touch, The location was also excellent being just 10 mins walk from the busy high street shops, cafes & restaurants. So all in all we were extremely happy and satisfied guests and would without doubt, stay again in the future, in fact it would be our first choice now for any visit to Piraeus. A taxi to or from the port is 15 euros each way.
nothing! It was perfect for us
The location of the hotel was in close proximity to the ferry station. The night supervisor was helpful to get us breakfast for the morning and book a taxi because we had an early morning ferry to catch.
The room was somewhat dark and the lightbulbs were not functioning in several places. The window curtains were ripped where the windows had been left open and a section along the floor where the carpet and wall met was ripped away from the wall. I think I ended up with bed bug bites on my shoulders, but my partner didn't indicate any, so I'm not certain if that is the case or not. The overall experience wasn't terrible, but I wouldn't recommend staying there again.
10 min. Walk from the port Excellent service and breakfast Good value for money and it's better to give 10€ or 15€ more to stay in this hotel than the cheap hotels outside the port!!!
location to the port. breakfast.
soundproofing to room 205 was very poor, to non existent. Traffic and public passing noise 24hrs. reception staff, commented that the hotel was surrounded by traffic, and that maybe the 3rd floor might be better for me. Adding that, I was on the quiet road side., as I had requested.
