Pros: Quirky B and B with added extras : Homemade chocolate tiffin, garden room with honesty bar, and breakfast flapjacks and specials. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Would thoroughly recommend.
Cons: Not a problem to us but bathroom was quite small.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our stay at Chelsea House could have not been any better. The hosts Sharon and Nigel were amazing and could not do enough for us. We had specific dietary needs and they were more than happy to accommodate us. The room was very comfortable and clean. We had the Jimi Hendrix room which had a balcony and a wonderful sea view. It was cleaned to a very high standard every day. The young lady that served us in the morning for breakfast called Hannah was so helpful. We would recommend Chelsea House to anyone looking for a very friendly, comfortable and clean place to stay in Falmouth.
Cons: Couldn't find anything we didn't like about our stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect, we arrived earlier than expected and the room was ready and Sharon was more than happy to accommodate us and check us in earlier than planned. The room was modern whilst having throwback features and the treble aspect views were spectacular. I personally felt the pillows were too soft for my liking on the first night, but when Sharon asked at breakfast how we slept and I explained, I was immediately offered numerous alternative pillow options and they were in place before the next evening. The breakfast offering was one of the best I have experienced in all of my travels, and when I explained we would be leaving early on our last morning and wouldn’t make breakfast we had a selection of pastries delivered to our room so we had a breakfast to go. It seemed as if no request was too big for Sharon and it certainly made our stay. The location itself was fantastic and myself and my girlfriend couldn’t recommended Chelsea House any more.
Cons: Not a thing

Pros: This was truly one of the best B&B experiences I have ever had. Everything about Chelsea House was wonderful! From the people--Sharon and Nigel and the rest of the staff were so welcoming and ready to help--to the unique room themes--we had Nina Simone--to the great breakfasts! Not to mention the fantastic location! We highly recommend this establishment and hope to return one day as well!
Cons: There was nothing that I didn't like about this B&B!

Pros: As frequent international travellers we have stated in a lot of hotels and apartments and this is one of the best places we've stayed. Everything is of the highest quality. From the furnishing to the excellent customer service by the owners. As it is apartment accommodation it feels like a luxurious ’home away from home’. As late risers we loved the generous breakfast basket that had everything that you can think of for a continental breakfast plus some eggs if you wanted to cook in the fully equipped kitchen. Living space, bedroom and bathroom huge and super clean. Lovely huge fluffy towels and lovely bathroom amenities. All the mod-cons everywhere. Downstairs amazing honesty bar, outside area with BBQ and chill out/sunbathing areas and not forgetting the hot-tub. Pros: Lovely building, spotlessly decorated, maintained and cleaned - couldn't fault it! My bathroom space was tiny but did the job and had a good shower. Friendly hosts and great breakfast (if you chose to take it). Excellent location, with the town a reasonable walk away in one direction and the beach a short walk in the other. A small amount of parking on site but plenty of free street parking anyway. Close also to the railway station with very frequent (1/2 hourly) train service to Truro.
Cons: Breakfast not available until 9, but as it wasn't included in the room rate anyway, you had the option not to take it and get breakfast 'on the road' if you needed an early get-away - so an observation rather than criticism!

9.2 Excellent
Pros: My wife and I stayed in Gyllyngvase House for 2 nights while on a recent visit to Cornwall. The location of the property is excellent, just a 2 minute walk down to a nice beach, promenade and coastal walks and a 15 minute walk into Falmouth town centre. There is parking in the grounds of the hotel and on the nearby streets. The public spaces in the hotel are tastefully decorated with a lounge area opening out to a pleasant garden. There is an honesty bar in the lounge which is well stocked with a variety of drinks. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and the tasty breakfast was cooked to order. It was a great base for our stay in Falmouth which is a vibrant town with lovely beaches, a large harbour and a good number of nice restaurants, pubs and shops.
Cons: Our double room was on the small side but adequate for our stay and was as advertised.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The best thing was that Gyllyngvase House has a very good variety on offer for breakfast. My favourite was smashed avocado with poached egg. The poached eggs were perfect each time. I could walk to my morning swim to the beach within 2 minutes. Also, it’s just a few minutes walk to the station and a few more to the town centre. A perfect location with a beautiful common area to relax in as well as having a lovely garden. Very efficient and friendly staff and the place was very clean. I can highly recommend it.
Cons: Nowhere to dry my basing suit and towel other than in the shower room which was not airy. I had overlooked when booking that the single room did not have an en suit but the separate shower room was very nice and only used by me. It was my fault not to see that.
7.5 Good
Pros: very helpful with my diary intolerance. Comfortable bed
Cons: Sink in room was small corner sink with cupboard above it. The cupboard made it very difficult to use the sink - especially when cleaning my teeth. Very inflexible in the morning - breakfast only between 8-9 and checkout only between 9-10. Also could not order cooked breakfast until tea and toast had been ordered and delivered to the table (what if I wanted my toast with my cooked breakfast?). It was the hotel process over customer comfort. The hotel is spotlessly, clinically clean - which for me made it too clean to feel welcoming and to be comfortable and relax. Especially the sign in the room reminding me to use a coaster!

Located in Falmouth, Budock Vean Hotel is by the sea, within a 5-minute drive of Trebah Gardens and Glendurgan Garden. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff were friendly and courteous. Hotel location is perfect. Room upgrade provided.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast excellent; great choices. Reasonable choice of evening meals if not eating in the Restaurant. Swimming pool, golf and grounds very good. Very scenic and quiet. St.aff were superb
Cons: Did not want a four course evening meal so could have had a few more meal choices in the evening. The bed was okay but the duvet was very heavy for a summer stay. Could have done with light weight duvet or something similar.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Location is great
Cons: Staff, in particular, the breakfast's one, is not professional and is unfriendly. If you travel with children, avoid this place. You are not allowed to sit in the main room along with the other guest, but you are exiled in a separate room, which certainly does not meet the expectation of a 4-star hotel. Nonetheless, none elements of the children policy appear along with the hotel information. The room does not comply with a 4-star hotel which worth £200 a night. Not adequately cleaned, and there is no trace of safe-box, aircon, minibar-fridge.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The location is lovely, golf course, water sports, pool, sauna and a jetty leading down to the Helford River. The gardens surrounding it are beautiful. .
Cons: The hotel appears to be stuck in the 1970's, the dining/breakfast room set up was very tired and outdated as were many of the public rooms - we stayed in one of their newly upgraded Signature rooms, the bath was already chipped, pictures had slipped in their frames, paintwork and floors badly scuffed, leaking tap, faulty hairdryer and problems with the toilet - just not very special for the price paid. The key to a good hotel is the staff but was an apparent lack of enthusiasm or smiles from most of them (including the management) in fact the mood around the hotel bordered on sombre
4.2 Okay
Pros: Location very good. Quality breakfast. Room with excellent view.
Cons: Dining room tables far too close together. loud conversation at next table spoiled ones dining experience.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Good old fashioned service and attention to detail in a fabulous location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very posh, brilliant facilities and views. Good location.
Cons: No air con in the bedroom. Got quite hot in the night.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We had a fantastic stay; the rooms, beds, breakfast, garden and staff were perfect. The 9 hole course was also wonderful and relaxed.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Just my favourite Hotel - enough said! Facilities, position, food and staff all first class. Excellent. Just the place for some rest and relaxation in fabulous grounds.
Cons: There is nothing negative about this Hotel, staff, facilities or position! See above. My favourite Hotel by a long way. Wouldn't want to be anywhere else for some rest and relaxation.

Pros: Everything. Lovely people, location, the food in the resturant was very good.
7.1 Good
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: Location
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location for coastal & country walks, lovely sea view from dining room, helpful staff, good breakfast, clean & well maintained accommodation.
Cons: We had a basic ground floor room, which was ok but there was no extract fan in the bathroom, although there was a window. The tv screen was quite small & we thought that overall £140 per night was was probably a bit steep, even for the school summer holiday period.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Medium size hotel which had a bar and served evening meals, lovely view from the breakfast/dining room, all areas were very clean and the rooms were cleaned daily. Great breakfast served by very polite staff. Very quite location, beach 10 mins walk, Falmouth 15 mins by car and Helford 10 mins which I would recommend. Parking is fine.
Cons: Nothing much but a net curtain or blind would have been better on our window as it was on the ground floor and looked out over the car park.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The overall property was lovely. The bedroom was very comfortable and I received a free upgrade to a double room, having booked a single. Staff in the restaurant and bar were especially nice. The lounge was a nice place to sit and relax.
Cons: The hotel was lovely, especially in the restaurant. However, on my arrival I was told that there was no evening meal available that day, despite the hotel advertising that the restaurant was open every evening except Sunday. Although I was booked on a bed and breakfast basis, this put me in considerable difficulty, especially as a single traveller who arrived very tired after a long drive. In these circumstances, I think it would have been fairer to contact me in advance, even if only by a few hours, by email to give me a chance to sort something else out, or bring some food with me. The hotel is quite isolated and one of my reasons for booking it was that it had a restaurant so I would not be forced to go looking for somewhere else to eat during the evening.

Cons: Nil
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel has outstanding views across Falmouth Harbour and it’s easy to sit and watch all the activity with great staff serving good food. With that combination it’s a fabulous place to stay.
Cons: With views like they have the hotel got away with being battle weary as one’s attention is “out there” and not on the finer points of housekeeping. Multiple Weddings and a high occupancy levels has clearly sapped the great staff of the attention to detail that goes hand in hand with the room rates charged.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Expensive for the time of year, but a lovely property. paying extra for the parking and breakfast was a good add to our stay there. streets are VERY narrow and driving is hazardous for US drivers like me, but a lovely property with a nice view of the Harbour. my wife loved the towels and the heated towel rack
Cons: price. they said we would get Premium Toiletries...but did not delivery on that promise. would be nice to have coffee in the rooms. NO Fitness Center

Cons: Parking could be awkward.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I found this hotel online as a last minute booking, having been rained off of our annual camping holiday in a bad storm. We received a warm welcome and was first shown our room before being served pots of tea in the lounge. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, perfect for a short break. The hotel was quiet and relaxing, even though there were plenty of other guests. The bed was very comfortable, there were extra pillows in the cupboard and tea/coffee making facilities which were all appreciated. The breakfast was plentiful, with lots of choice and the staff clearly go out of their way to accommodate the needs of all the guests. Having enjoyed our stay so much, we extended it for an extra night. All of the staff were absolutely amazing throughout our stay, friendly, helpful and so hardworking, they obviously take pride in their work and care about the guests. I loved the relaxed atmosphere of this hotel and the way the staff looked after everyone. I also loved the location, leaving the car safely parked to walk less than ten minutes to Falmouth town and literally a few minutes walk to the beach.
Cons: I didn't like leaving! Could happily have stayed longer.

7.1 Good
Pros: I was very happy to get an upgrade to a suite since I had a baby with me...the hotel staff was very helpful. I totally recommend this hotel it exceeded my expectations. Thanks
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Overall: The Bedrooms are clean and lovely, and the terrace area is fabulous. No problem with parking, and great food and service in the Terrace Bar, with a good, reasonably priced food selection. Short walk to the beach, town and Pendennis Castle. Breakfast: The pastries are fresh and warm, with a fabulous fruit salad, and nice local yoghurts. Good range of fruit juices, and beautifully set tables. All hot food is obviously freshly cooked to order, and the staff are courteous and helpful.
Cons: Overall: Only criticism of the rooms would be that the TV's are a bit outdated, with limited channels and poor picture quality, as well as remotes that don't work. To be honest that's only of real interest if you are travelling alone, as otherwise you will be loving the view and service elsewhere with family and friends! Breakfast is overly formal, with pre-allocated tables which mean you couldn't enjoy the view if you are alone, as the 'good' tables seem to be for families and groups, and there's no option to eat on the terrace on nice days. Breakfast cooked food options were limited, with the nice options subject to an extra charge, which is annoying for this price range. The breakfast coffee was terrible, but they make a great Cappuccino, so no idea why that wasn't an option!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely location, great facilities and the staff are amazing, well worth it

Pros: The lounge looking out to sea. It was very relaxing, the staff were excellent with my elderly mother and her dementia. The food is good value for money.
Cons: The only thing was the staff questioned me when i took my mother up to my room while i changed for dinner. They wanted to confirm i was the only one staying in the room and was not sneaking my elderly mother in with me, heavens forbid.

Cons: We had planned to have dinner in the hotel but discovered on arrival that there is a jacket and tie dress code for men. I had checked on the hotel web site before our trip and didn't see any mention of this. it would be useful to include in your information. also we had planned to use the pool on sunday morning but it was closed for maintenance. if we had known we would have swum the night before. a little disappointing.

7.1 Good
Pros: Hotel as a whole ok, staff friendly and welcoming. Room decor nice.the
Cons: The noise from the building site in front of the hotel, we were not told about by booking.com until after we booked hotel.
7.9 Good
Pros: Beautiful hotel in a good location, comfy beds/rooms. All staff were friendly and welcoming.
Cons: The view of the building site; would have been better if the site was covered as it was uncomfortable sitting on the balcony while works were going on as it is so close. Perhaps for it to be flagged up before you book a room with a balcony not afterwards. Driving round trying to find a parking space, due to volume of customers in and out of the health club, maybe allocate so many parking spaces to staying guests.
6.3 Good
Pros: Great location at the moment.
Cons: Building apartments in front of property so the view will be completely spoiled. Cobwebs in bathroom, heated towel rail did not work.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location near the beach, the gym, the garden restaurant and the Spa were all good.

Pros: The staff were always polite and helpful, especially Kristina who we spoke to everyday of our 4 night stay. She was very approachable, helpful, professional and friendly. The hotel guests were allowed to use the swimming pool, sauna and steam room for free which was awesome and the spa day we had with afternoon tea was lovely. We had a nice seafront view too from our room and it was lovely that they wrote us an anniversary card and reserved us a parking spot. It’s the little things that count and made our stay extra special. Thank you to all the staff there, from Jannath and Shab
