Pros (+) 1. Pleasant walks available through CWRU campus 2. Excellent complimentary hot breakfast 3. Very clean 4. Good size room 3. Other than A/C, the room was in good working order
Cons (-) 1. A/C unit not effective in maintaining even temperature - I was required to keep the unit set too cold in order to prevent room from getting tepid 2. A bit complicated getting to Cleveland Clinic parking from hotel (this was a recommended hotel for visits to CC) 3. TV was flat screen but old technology - not HDTV
Pros (+) The Glidden House is like stepping back in time. The staff and decor are of an earlier genteel era without being stuffy. No hotel chain feel here. Room service is catered from the next door restaurant - and the executive chef is a recent James Beard award winner - can't beat that! Complimentary breakfast on the sun terrace is a great start to any day.
Cons (-) Air conditioning although adequate, was a little uneven at night.
