Situated across from the beach in South Beach's historic Art Deco District, this hotel is in the middle of the glam party scene on Ocean Drive and surrounded by world-renowned restaurants; the hotel is also near Lincoln Road Mall.
Pros: Had a great stay at the Congress and will be staying againCons: It took a little long to get checked in and the elevator was slow and broken for some hours
Pros: Great hotel and good locationCons: nothing
Pros: Good location, friendly staff.Cons: The hotel rooms are not well insulated against the loud music and busy happenings of the street. For instance, on its first floor here is a restaurant/bar that plays music very loudly till 3AM, so if you are not prepared to be out that late, you will have a tough time falling sleep because of the noise.
Pros: Amazing rooftop pool with a great happy hour. Right across from the beach so great location. Right in the middle of the action. Cons: The noise is a bit intense. Also the hotel is by the pushiest restaurants on Ocean St, which got to be a bit much.
In the heart of it allPros: It was right on Ocean drive in the middle of South Beach's Art Deco. The room was large and clean, and the staff was friendly.Cons: N/A - was happy with everything.
Not impressed Pros: The location was good. They had granite and lg appliances.Cons: The hotel is split in what I would call two different buildings maybe 3?. There is another business in between. So to get to where you check out and the pool is in a diffeenrt building. This being because my room was in the other building. The rooms are decent. Very cheap. The bed was on what looked like ply wood. The air unit had a dirty filter and mold. It's hard not to look at being its seen while in the shower. There were 3 different colors of light bulbs in the room.
Hope you get a high room we were on 5th level in the other building and imthe noise was fine but one floor down and it bounces off the other buildings and is quite loud know this from another family member staying on the 4th floor.
Does not have that comfy welcoming feel of being on vacation when you come in the lobby. There is also no bathroom in the lobby or any welcoming refreshment that most hotels seem to have now a days. I was also with and older couple in there 60s that stayed in another room and they had very so similar feelings.
Great for the location of the beach but will not go out of my way to stay there again
Noisy beyond acceptablePros: location was excellent except for the noise echoing through the alleyways on both sides of the building!!! The staff was friendly in the hotel and the restaurant and the food (didn't try the mexican) was good....not great, but good. The view from the rooftop pool was beautifulCons: Unless I don't want ANY sleep, I can never stay here again. It's too bad, but the drunks screaming until 4 a.m. echo in the alleyways and then the rubbish trucks come along and keep you awake and lastly, some "clown" was going up and down the street yelling "Good Morning, Miami" @ 6 a.m. I was so glad I only had reserved one night.....it ruined my entire next day because I was exhausted from no sleep and I didn't go out to the bars.
It's always a party on South Beach!Pros: Great location to South Beach Miami and all that it includes. The diversity of people, the constant party atmosphere, it's ALL happening on South Beach. Cons: It's pretty noisy until 3:00 or 4:00 am. Careful with the drink menu - I ordered a mojito -and it came in the bathtub size glass for$42! I wouldn't bring pre teens or younger -there's much adult activity going on that they don't need to see up close and personal.
