7.9 Good
Pros: Staff, rooms amazing
Cons: Not enough seats in the pool for guests, not nice staff members at the breakfast. Poor breakfast, no butter
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It is very calm and quiet. Peaceful.
Cons: Some guests were noisy, but it might be a coincidence.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, breakfast, Pool were very fine, we all liked it very much. Especially friendly were the employees, we liked everything in the hotel. Also the Service for helping for going on with travel was done in a super kind and professional way. Thank you very much to everybody.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful location & setting.
Cons: Very poor WiFi in rooms. Rather expensive hotel & restaurant for Myanmar.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location near key sites in old Bagan . Good restaurant with great complimentary breakfast and good dinner menu. Beautiful grounds. A true oasis in Bagan.
Cons: Bathroom showers could use a little touch up. Some mildew on surfaces. Pool beautiful, but highly chlorinated/ chemically treated. Probably required in this hot environment.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The place and the location are amazing. Also the breakfast is high level, there are many fresh fruit and so many things to choose.
Cons: When they made the towel changes they always forgot to replace any of them.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Amazing experience at the hotel. The pool is very nice and the restaurant is great. Very close to some of the most beautiful pagodas in Bagan. There is a motorbike rental right outside of the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cottage type rooms offered us private atmosphere and made us comfortable. I liked enough amount of discharged hot water from shower made us very relax after moving around in hot weather and sweat a lot. Hotel location was also very nice. It was accessible for lots of remarkable pagodas. We rent e-bike in front the hotel and it enabled us to move around most of old Bagan areas. It was fan! Restaurant was pricey but it was worth to try. Tea leaf salad which is local cuisine was my favorite.
Cons: Almost nothing to complain, but it would be better if there were bug repellent in terrace and also in the restaurant. Mosquitoes irritated me sometimes...
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything! The location, the restaurants around, the staff, the swimming pool.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic setting- great place
Cons: Food needs a little help

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a wonderful stay at The Bagan Lodge. First of all, it’s hands down the best hotel in Bagan. The enormous rooms which are very well appointed with gorgeous bathrooms and huge wrap around porches are an absolute bargain with breakfast included. The staff are warm, friendly and go out of their way to make sure everyone is happy and comfortable. The general manager was always available and made a huge effort to get to know our family, recommend restaurants and make sure we didn’t miss out on the best excursions and day trips. He also arranged a car, driver and amazing guides for us each day at bargain basement prices!! He also recommended we ride around for a few hours on electric scooters and we had a blast!! He even arranged to have them delivered to the hotel to make it easy and convenient. Honestly, the entire staff went out of their way to insure we enjoyed the best of Bagan with the highest level of service. Great stay, great staff and a trip back in time. Bagan is rich in culture and history and definitely worth visiting.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location and very friendly staff
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very nice villa hotel with great guest room, 72 Sqm room is comfortable. The lodge is very generous, offer us a complimentary late checkout to 2pm, and only pay extra 20USD for 4pm. Free shuttle to/from airport. Good location with 15mins drive to the airport. Spa service has a reasonable price, and nice staffs too.
Cons: The breakfast cloud be improved. All staffs we met are friendly except the one who sent us in room dining.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Massage is perfect and out of my exception. Staff is friendly, I can rent E-bike from hotel and go around Bagan on my own. Also the design of hotel room is beautiful and comfortable.
Cons: When i have breakfast i can see fly go around the food, the protection of food is not good. One night I caught the disgusting smell from bathroom or toilet when i was sleeping. But the whole experice in this hotel is perfect.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: - location (very close to the temples) - wonderfully landscaped garden - spacious and tastefully designed villas (excellent beds) - good selection of foods - very friendly staff - two pools
Cons: - too much chlorine in the pool - breakfast buffet presentation does not match overall high standard of the resort (quality was good though) - music at bar sometimes a bit too loud and club like (does not belong in a nice place like Bagan Lodge)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great pool, super friendly staff, eBikes for hire on property and helpful With excursions
Cons: Just need to know the eBikes have a range of 30 km, so plan accordingly. Even though it is hard to read the gages....
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Convenient location , close to temples. Hot air balloons landing sites are nearby so less time to return back after morning flight ! Very clean rooms, nicely decorated, two large pools and beautiful landscape.
Cons: Breakfasts could be better. Choice was limited, basic and unexciting.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Our villa was large and comfortable. There are two swimming pools and a garden with many trees and flowers. At the reception, we had an excellent dialogue. Bagan Lodge is a really nice place to stay.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Suite was amazing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best accommodation in Bagan. Great staff, restaurant and services. We loved our stay here ❤
Zfreeti Hotel - Bagan - Building

8.9 Excellent (1,217 reviews)
AED 184+
Overview Reviews
A stay at Zfreeti Hotel places you in the heart of Nyaung-U, within a 5-minute drive of Shwezigon Pagoda and Htilominlo Temple. Featured amenities include limo/town car service, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Limited parking is available onsite.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast buffet Friendly and polite staff
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was very beautiful, with the kind of luxury look one appreciates after being days backpacking in Myanmar. Also, it was very clean, the staff very helpful and the swimming pool just great! Also, the breakfast had lots of options. They helped us arrange everything to move at very competitive prices. And it was two roads away from the restaurants area. All in all, the best place we stayed in Myanmar.
Cons: The wifi didn’t work properly... we weren’t able to send or recieve pictures, sometimes whatsapp wasn’t working, and instagram and twitter never worked with their connection. Also, it was difficult to search things with the browser. We went to some restaurants with wifi when we really needed it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff are friendly and helpful , perfect location near the restaurant street! Great place to stay in Bagan!
8.3 Excellent
Cons: For Management - Allow your FO staff to match online rates. It's ridiculous that I have to stand in the lobby and make a booking on my phone because they don't have the authority to match OTA rates, which were substantially lower than your walk in rate. You'd rather lose 15% to commission than empower your reception team or set your walk-in rate the same as what is offered online. Everyone has a phone and everyone checks. Creates a very negative start to the guest experience.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Great pool and even better kind staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff, room, location, terrace, swimming pool.
Cons: The bathroom shower had some problems.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything is perfect, especially the front staff did perfect introduce and arrange our day tour. Many restaurants and shops nearby. Easy to rent a bike or laundry at the corner. No doubt to comeback next time.
Cons: None.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: - Location is good, near many of restaurant. - Room is clean and well furnished - Staffs are friendly and good hospitality
Cons: - Air condition is bad. Room get hours to be cool. Didn’t sleep well in that hot weather.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and Comfortable Hotel. Good location, Nice staff, excellent breakfast. I would stay here again in Bagan.
Cons: N/A
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff allow us to check in early. It is really nice as we came at 7:00am. We check out by 12:00pm but able to leave our luggage at the office, go around until 7:00pm, come back to hotel, have a bath and wait for the bus. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We did have a good time and appreciated the hotel support. We will recommend your hotel to friends and family.
Cons: I hope the pool bathroom will have a hanger.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were so friendly and helpful. Their warm serving really made our trip more delightful!
Cons: Perhaps can improve on the WiFi connection and get some tea bag or coffee inside the room
7.5 Good
Pros: The staffs are friendly and willing to help, especially the manager. The lobby is openair, nearby some good restaurants that you can visit. There is also a small swimming pool in the hotel. They helped us to book tuktuk taxi and overnight bus to Inle Lake. Nice hotel, worth to recommend.
Cons: The breakfast is not so tasty.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hostel with a nice atmosphere, enjoyed my stay.
Cons: Everything was fine
9.6 Excellent
Pros: - amazing staff, especially Christopher and Cecelia! - great location in the new town with lots of restaurants on your door - they do fantastic tours from the hostel, and if you're really lucky you'll have Christopher show you round Bagan who was a great guide - area to sleep/shower on the roof for when you arrive early in the morning on the night bus
Cons: - 8 beds with just 1 bathroom can get pretty busy, but there are additional toilets and showers elsewhere in the hostel. - Can get quite noisy with people getting up early to watch the sunrise over the temples, didn't get the best nights sleep when there.
7.5 Good
Pros: It’s one of the most popular hostel in Myanmar , they provide many local tour which is great!!!
Cons: The dorm that I stay for 2 days is a bit smelly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was an amazing and magic place! They arrange a beautiful party for celebrate the Unesco Heritage. I fully recommend it!!
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice Hostel to stay, very nice staff and a lot of activities. Free Pasta during the day and a tasty restaurant nearby. Rooms were clean and guests are cool people! e-Scooter rental nearby and is okay!
Cons: nothing to claim
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice common areas, perfect hostel if you arrive early from night bus as they have beds on top floor that you can use to sleep until they let you check in, free coffee and tea available through the day, you can do your washing (with fee) but they also have drying lines if you prefer to hand wash your things .
Cons: The “free “ tour was very interesting however the guides did mention several times that tip is expected- bit too much (I am not sure if hostel doesn’t pay him any money or what but he shouldn’t talk about tip five times through the tour) - also you rent a bike to do this tour so it’s not free. Drinks from outside are not allowed
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Amazing staff, great things organised every night and some days (they do a free bike tour of the temples, was an amazing day - guide was the best).
Cons: Pool was at the other location (2 on the same street). This was our mistake when booking though.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is clean. I love their unlimited coffee and tea. Price is perfect for backpackers. They have tours! I gained lots of new friends because of this.
Cons: Nothing negative to say. I love this place so much. :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were amazing. The atmosphere was amazing and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone
Cons: Absolutely nothing was bad
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Air conditioner not meeting expectations, it could be aging factor.

7.1 Good
Pros: We travelled with a toddler so we very much enjoyed the nice pool and the spacious rooms for him to get some energy out. We had a few issues in our room with the safe and the air-conditioner and the staff was super quick and responsive in resolving those.
Cons: The breakfast menu was very basic and could be easily improved, for example with some cereal, a few more condiments and spreads. In our room the temperature of the shower was quite difficult to adjust and kept changing randomly.
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice swimming pool and cleaning rooms
Cons: Not in the center of New Bagan, but you can easily walk for 10 mins and reach many restaurants. As you have to rent a scooter/bike wherever you are in Bagan this is not a big issue because there is a cheap rental service in front of the hotel. If you want to pay with dollars check to have them in perfect condition (they complained because my 100$ has a very small Benjamin Franklin faded face)!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything about this hotel: first, we arrived very early in the morning (like before 5am) after a night bus from Inle Lake. The hotel was full but as soon as they could give us our room, they did (at about 9am instead of check-in time 1pm). Once we checked-out at noon the day that we left, we had a night bus as well, and we could enjoy the pool, have luggage storage and we could take a hot shower before leaving, which was great. The staff is amazingly caring and attentive to any requests. Wifi is good, we experienced a few power outage but never too long (they last a few seconds to max 5 min). Their pricing for bike and e-bike rentals was more than competitive and it is well located in New Bagan.
Cons: We liked everything.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff always had a smile and very helpful, the receptionist helped putting thanaka for my burns.
Cons: Shower curtain in the bathroom too short and far so water can be easily spilled out of the bath tub.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff went above and beyond for us every day of our stay. E.g. filling up our water bottles at breakfast without us having to ask, remembering how we like our hot drinks, allowing us to stay in the room after check out time, for an extra 7 hours! Completely exceeded any expectations in every way. Would definitely return.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: - breakfast had lots of variety! - e-bike shop right outside the hotel (8000/day for a big bike). it's a 20min drive down to old bagan. - the staff were sooooo helpful and kind - they said our room wasnt along the pool but they 'upgraded' us to one by the pool, so thank you.
Cons: - be careful of mosquitoes in the common area - it's true, the pool is slightly salty. but clean. - the key is too bulky, troublesome to keep the whole day
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stuff was very kind and helpful. We could check in early in the morning. And could also check out late in the afternoon without any extra to pay. The location is perfect. Near by there are some good restaurants. The pool was very clean and towels were available all the time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the saltwater pool. The. staff were always very friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice and very clean. The buffet breakfast is also very good and the wifi internet is also good!!!
Cons: anything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The pool is such a great spot after the temples and during the mid day heat. The staff can’t do enough for you and were so helpful with everything
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice staff

10.0 Excellent
Pros: the hotel is really charming, the staff really nice. the pool is great, and good breakfast. great value for money, well situated in new bagan, between the river and the rest of the city
Cons: The drinks and other food is too expensive at the hotel. we asked but hot water with lemon and ginger (just for throat pb) and they charged us 2euros, we didnt mind but thought they would do it for free)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beatiful outside and inside. Great wifi.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel exceeded our expectations! The rooms were comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. And the price was great!
5.8 Okay
Pros: Beautiful court yard Good location Spacious bedroom and bathroom
Cons: Bed needed an upgrade in 1996, lumpy, full of springs and clearly a very tired mattress. Towels have seen better days, very thin, almost ripped two whilst drying off after a shower. Breakfast is hit or miss. Some days you get buffet style others you get pick one of these off the menu we made, guess it depends on volume or what mood the chef is in. Drinks and food are expensive compared to surrounding area and rest of Myanmar. Only half decent deal is happy hour cocktails at 2500 kyat (half price). As many have mentioned internet is an issue, they do warn you about this when you check in and tell you that it's the same throughout Bagan....which is a lie. Wifi is pretty dire.
7.5 Good
Pros: Not good croissant. Breakfast more asian
Cons: Rooms n staff n location
6.3 Good
Pros: The pool, staff, meals.
Cons: Aircon was not working well during the first night of our stay. The bidet leaked, flooding the toilet floor. Management was apologetic and moved us to another room where everything worked.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The pool, the room and the location.
Cons: Breakfast around mid April wasn't buffet. You could order a la carte, unlimited, but each serving were small and the food quality could have been improved. The restaurant food was good, though price-quigy performance is not shinning.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is at a great location, the pool is nice to cool off in after a day of driving around and the rooms are clean.
Cons: Breakfast was not the greatest but OK. Expected a bit more for such a high rated hotel. Oh and if you expect a closet to hang your things away there isn't one.
8.8 Excellent
Cons: English speaking competence should be improved.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room was very spacious and the garden was beautiful.
Cons: English level of some staff made it difficult at times but not a big issue and everything else was great!!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfortable and it was nice to swim in the afternoon after trekking round the temples. The E bikes were very cheap and the staff were great.

6.3 Good
Pros: The staff is super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great! Nice pool and surrounding
Cons: - too far away from everything (for us) - aircondition from other rooms near by are so loud that we could not sleep at all . As it started late at night we did not want to switch rooms - the rooms need some renovation
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing bagan hotel and resort amazing
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing value for money. The staff is super friendly, late check out was no problem. The breakfast is amazing as well, the best we had for years in a hotel. The rooms are big and the bed comfy. It is a sustainable hotel with refill bottles for every room and almost no plastic used. They offer superb wine as well. We loved every minute of it!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast and we enjoyed swimming in the pool Good wifi, staff were great
Cons: No lift
6.3 Good
Pros: Clean, quiet and superb service. I had a housefly buzzing in my room and I informed the front desk. The promptly got rid of it and didn't leave any smell (not sure how they did it). They also helped arrange for tours and transport. Also my guide and research tells me that most, if not all, hotels in Bagan are similar in standard (being dated).
Cons: Hotel is really dated although clean. Unable to walk anywhere, need to rent car esp now with monsoon season.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly and professional staff, amazing piace where to stay in Bagan, many amanieties, wonderful breakfast and great room. This resort even if a bit far from the Main Road gives you the opportunity ti discover Bagan and the area around it with e-Bike or organized tok-Tok. Try the Thai massage - amazing as this resort
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I think the price it is a bit above the average from other hotels in Bagan, but believe it worth every cent. The bedroom is quite big and comfortable. All the facilities are clean. Staff is helpful and friendly. Swiming pool is very good and is exactly as shown in the photos. Breakfast is also excellent! Highly recommended.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff and they welcome you nicely to the place. Even let me check in early. Very Cozy spacious room. Clean bathroom with good warm showers. Very good breakfast. I hired a e bike from them to go around which cost me 12000 kyat for the whole day (8 hours). I think prices for e bikes are cheaper outside. But I didn't mind because the quality of the bikes at the hotel was good and I could pick up and drop off right where I live.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Definitely amazing !! The rooms, atmosphere, pool, food ( breakfast and restaurant) , staff were all amazing !
Cons: Each time we had to pay for food in the pool bar, they would round up the sum. In dollars it was kind of accepted ( although the menu is in dollars) but they rounded up the kyat also which was annoying. The bath foam and shampoo quantities were not enough even for one person .
9.6 Excellent
Cons: Water was not available for some 1.5 hours even after making the complain in the morning.

Featured amenities include limo/town car service, a computer station, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. 6.7 Good
Pros: The great thing about this hotel is that it offers a splendid view over the sunset. It also has a quite nice pool, and the breakfast is varied.
Cons: The room was quite old, and could do with some renovation. Not all the facilities were open because of low-season, although this wasn’t advertised. The Spa is not up to standards I have found in the country, but it’s cheaper.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is fantastic. We booked a deluxe room facing the river and it was lovely. Maybe also due to low season the hotel and common areas were really quiet. The room very clean and spacious, breakfast very good and the staff helps us arranging the E-bike to go around the temples during the day, booked the minivan ticket and tuk tuk for us.
Cons: The first night we had some problems sleeping due to the frogs in the little streams in front of our room. Fortunately it did not rain during our stay and therefore the streams got empty and the frogs gone.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing pool, perfect to divide the day in 2. Very well maintained garden. The main building is an historical one which was build for the purpose to host the king of England. Very close to several pagodas. The staff is very helpful and can arrange any trip you might need.
Cons: The quality of the bicycles could have been improved.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfasts with great choice. Staff very friendly and helpful. Beautiful swimming pool and great position next to the river where you can enjoy a glass of wine or whatever.
Cons: I chose to stay in the 'building' rather than a bungalow in the garden or by the river because it was a good price. I was happy with it but you might be disappointed as the balcony looks over a car park. I didn't spend much time in the room so it didn't affect me.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel facilities was really nice and the ambiance is so relaxing with lots of plants and trees.
Cons: Just the mosquitos if you stay outside during night time but of course this is nature so it's understandable
6.3 Good
Cons: ugly room
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice pool. Quiet location.
Cons: Beds not that comfortable
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Overall ambience, cleanliness, hotel layout, the wonderful river facing room, couteousness of staff, willingness to assist, make stay comfortable.
Cons: 1) Provide more complimentary drinking water, it was initially 1/2 L per adult, later made to 1L. USD 1 for a bottle was too high. At Inya Lake Hotel, Yangon, one of the finest we have stayed for a long time, it was unlimited. 2) Allow guests having breakfast (BF) to complete before starting to remove the spread exactly at 9.30am, the closing time for BF. So if one entered say, at 9.25, one had to complete in 5 minutes, unacceptable, not experienced anywhere else during our long international travel. 3) Too many flies everywhere. To install electric fly catchers atleast at dining places and room balcony or, at least provide suitable covers when serving food. Saw good locally handmade food covers outside pagodas ideal. 4) To provide suitable mosquito repellents in the room and balcony, without this our enjoyable time outside was miserable.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is within the archeological area, which makes it easy to visit the most important temples. I arrived early in the morning (5am) and was able to check in with no problems, thus I managed to go see the sunrise the very same day of my arrival. Huge room with large bathroom equipped with both shower and bathtub.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Geeat location, great view from panorama restaurant
Cons: A lot of flyers
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful attention by the staff--they even called us before breakfast was over down stairs. Very clean accommodations, good air conditioning (Mandalay is hot!) excellent value.

5.8 Okay
Pros: Nice landscaping within hotel compound, good swimming pool.
Cons: Flushing facility of toilet not working, too small with the room size, mosquitoes in room and at the canteen for breakfast
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Pool was excellent after long hot days in Old Bagan.Breakfast Buffett was everything you need and evening dance show was good over dinner on terrace. Street food bbq next door was sampled (also good) and I chose to use tuktuk to get around rather than hire electric bike.Had basic level room which lacked view of beautiful gardens but was everything I needed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were there in April, and it is HOT! So we enjoyed returning to our A/C room, usually after a cup of coffee, iced coffee, or tea, etc, by noon (in Bagan you will have to take off shoes and socks to enter temples. The ground at some places will be almost too hot to walk on, so we stopped sightseeing by Noon). There are two gorgeous swimming pools to choose from, or the on site Spa. Umbra Bagan also has a huge landscaped garden that makes for an enjoyable walk. For getting around town, the hotel can introduce you to Mr. Ko, an employee at the hotel who is also a Tuk-tuk driver. When he is working, his wife will do the driving. Not only does she know the places to go to, but she is great with your camera and suggests scenes you may have not thought of. My wife and I, being elderly (60's/70's), got the pleasure of their 3 year old tagging along our last day. Not bashful or shy. What a blast that turned out to be. The ebike is a popular means of getting around in Bagan, that we passed on. Our other transportation was a horse drawn, two-wheeled 'wagon'. The hotel can also contact Rambo (actually, that's the horse's name), for that adventure. Overall, the staff will do anything to make your stay enjoyable. The outside restaurant had entertainment every night . . , either a singer, or some young ladies performing traditional dances, etc. Great food, so we never tried anywhere else! Total enjoyment.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I loved the garden and the pool of the hotel. This is the highlight of the property. It's a great place to relax after a day of visiting temples. The hotel is also on the main road to the temples and palace. Several good restaurants are in close proximity.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel and yes it did exceed our expectations. The pool was inviting and the grounds are well kept and pleasurable. The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The e-bikes were excellent and were easily arranged by the hotel staff.
Cons: We liked everything and couldn't find fault at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a splendid hotel beautifully run by the local management ready to satisfy customers demands with promptness and kindness There is nothing in Bagan and around that can compete with 2 swimming pools a spa and an ancient pagoda on the premises
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, the hotel is amazing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The best hotel that I have stayed in in Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam or Cambodia. It is an idyllic paradise, nothing could be faulted. Rooms were large as were bathrooms, situated in nicelocks set amongst beautiful grounds. There are two beautiful swimming pools, one which borders the evening restaurant where a quality, local show was staged each night. The breakfast restaurant feted a wide range of quality food and drinks. Tours could be arranged but we opted to use a driver and car supplied for only $30 for the whole day and were taken to all of the places of interest. The restaurant offered local and international dishes, slightly higher than outside restaurants and priced in USD but the quality, service and location more than compensated. If you wanted local eateries there are two within 100 yards outside to the left. I cannot rate this hotel highly enough, it is a little paradise, an oasis, I wish I could have stayed longer, I loved it!
Cons: Having to leave.
7.5 Good
Pros: Very nice swimming pool. The staff is very kind and always helpful
Cons: Cleanliness could be better. The air conditioner did not work very well
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Pool and bed
Cons: Everything was perfect

Pros: There is a wonderful new pool on the property, with very clean water and nice sunbeds around it! The staff is very, very friendly and helpful - they even get up 4:30 in the morning to prepare you a nice take-away breakfast! They organize taxis, bikes and boat tickets, or anything you need free of charge! Wonderful hot showers, good mattresses! Neat bungalows with a private terrace! Very nice breakfast, that even made my 13 year old daughter get up before 9 a.m. :-)
7.1 Good
Pros: Big room with furnished balcony Friendly staff
Cons: Instead of finding a relaxing garden, there was construction work going on without seeing an end.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Helpful and very kind and anticipating every need
Cons: Nothing I didn’t like
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A delightful hotel in delightful surroundings, staffed by delightful locals and overseen by a delightful owner! Only 5-10 minutes walk from the Main Street in New Bagan, with a wide range of restaurants. Wonderful private veranda for each room - just lovely. Delicious breakfast!
Cons: The bathroom was a little old, but I didn’t really care!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff, although not speaking well English, was very helpful and kind. They have a nice pool to start the morning in a refreshing way. The staff helps you to get e bikes and helps you plan your itinerary around Bagan. Breakfast was good with plenty options to choose from
Cons: We had 2 beds instead of 1 double bed, which made it a bit uncomfortable to sleep.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean , comfortable and curated. Super Swimmingpool! Beautiful rooms like traditional wood houses.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was nice, staff was helpful and the pool the perfect set to enjoy a light beer after a day visiting the temples. Rooms were nice and AC helps sleeping during the night.
Cons: Just be aware that you need to get a tuk tuk or ebikes if you want to eat out in the evening. Going with a tuk tuk will cost as much as your dinner but it is a must.
6.3 Good
Pros: The distance to the pagodas, the breakfast and some of the staff are super nice.
Cons: I found some hairs in the bathtub and bed. The cabins have seen better days.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location was amazing. Loved the breakfast as well. The view was mesmerizing.
Cons: Restaurent menu was ok, not great. They close it exactly at 10pm. They even refused to serve a drink at 10.10pm.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Centrally located near the temples in Bagan. The sunset from the restaurant or pool is wonderful. I also enjoyed the spa services. The room was spacious. Great price.
Cons: I thought the room felt a little run down on the inside. And there were lots of geckos on the ceiling in my room.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: it was off peak season, no hordes of tourist- but it was very hot , temperatures hitting 40's C. We had the pagodas/ temples to ourselves in the mornings, we headed back to the hotel as the midday sun came out-simple too hot and stayed in our aircon rooms. Good service in the restaurant, Great massage service .
Cons: one of our friends had a minor injury while at the pagoda, when we got back to request for some first aid medication, the hotel did not have any, a hotel of this size should have at the minimum first aid kit and some first aid training , lucky one of our friends came equipped.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The outdoor pool was very welcome when we arrived after an 8 hour trip and had a fabulous view across the Ayerawaddy. The sunset was beautiful from the veranda of the room and the staff were very personable and helpful. We hired e-bikes (e-mopeds really) for a day to see round Bagan which were great fun and perfect for the event.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I loved it all, except the prices for food and drinks, and 15 % extra servicecharge and was it governmenttax? Too much... the food was delicious by the way, and the service was good.
Cons: A little bit expensive, but I would still recommend the place.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Views, staff and cleanliness. The thing i like the most is food and organic mango juice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Service was wonderful- staff went above and beyond to meet your needs. The tour they organized for me was really good- my guide was extremely knowledgable. Everything was clean and I was very comfortable and felt safe.
Cons: Breakfast could have been better- it was average.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: That our room was away from everyone else. Also that it was on the river and had a swim pool.
Cons: It was a little too expensive for what we got.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location and view, good pool
Cons: The e-bike service cost more than expected and 2 persons had to pay even though renting only one bike.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff is really welcoming and helpful, the assisted me in booking the balloon ride, giving me all the options. The main building is surrounded by a nice green area making you feeling that you are far away while being in New Bagan. Nice spa services and food.
Cons: In the description in Booking.com is said that the shuttle from the airport is free but when I reserved it through mail that said it cost 7 USD. However, when I said it, they organized it for free. But on my way back to the airport the last day I needed to pay. This need to be revised in the description. Prices in spa and restaurant are slightly higher than in the surrounding; although they are good quality.
6.3 Good
Pros: Good breakfast!
Cons: The staff didn’t speak English. We couldn’t talk and they couldn’t provide us any information. Taxis were expensive and there were no facilites for guests
7.9 Good
Cons: Team is speaking a poor English making discussion at the lobby complicated. E-bike price are way over priced compare to just outside. Restaurant and bar are on the same way far expensive.
6.7 Good
Pros: Variable service levels. Some very good and just lousy.
Cons: Place slightly dated and towel quality not great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
5.0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was okay as well as location. Swimming pool was nice but cold and in the shadow and the net to many pigeons..
Cons: Very bad English speaking staff so not very helpful The first room we had was a disaster: noisy and super uncomfortable bed, our back hurt; outside spot light directed to the window and thin curtains making it impossible to have any dark during the night. Water poor out of the bath, super slim walls which prevent for sleeping when you have neighboors talking or walking. We asked to get another room for the second night, explaining the reasons to the staff who didn't even apologize nor offer a refund. The second room was a bit better, but still not worth the price. We got better hotels for more than half the price. That's the first bad review we are writing and will go straight to the point: bad value for money.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful staff Beautiful pool Lovely breakfast Good location Very clean
Cons: Overpriced e-bike rental Overpriced mini bar Loud karaoke music at times
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great pool, breakfast, and room.
Cons: False advertisement on booking.com and failure by staff to correct it. It says “fitness center” under facilities and that was a deciding factor for our decision to stay here. Turns out there’s no fitness center (not even a single treadmill, weight, anything). When I asked management they simply said “sorry” with no resolution or confidence to update their listing. Very disappointing in both the advertisement fraud and lack of empathy and professionalism by the staff to correct for this. I sent a follow up email as well and there’s been no response (it’s been 48 hours so far). I’ll consider reporting them if nothing is corrected.
7.5 Good
Pros: The pool is nice, staff are friendly.
Cons: When I booked it said in the facilities section that there was a fitness centre, but when we got there we discovered that there is not. There is a pool and that is great, but I did book thinking I would be able to do a work out or 2 so they should adjust their facilities section to remover that as it is false advertising.
7.9 Good
Pros: The hotel was large in area with spa and pool and it had a grand entrance from the road. The room was spacious. The food qulaity for both breakfast and dinner is up to standard, though not great. The location is excellant, it is close to city centre of New Bagan. The room A/C could be controlled individually.
Cons: The massage skill provided in the spa is only average, compared to those I tried in other cities of Myanmur. Also, I did not understand why the curtain was simply thick cotton clothes which could not block sunlight at all.

Pros: This place is the Oasis you need in Bagan when pushing yourself across the temples and landscape to take in the incredible locale. Can't say enough great things about it.
Cons: Staff struggles with English and understanding guest needs.... but this is currently the norm in Myanmar outside of Multinational Hotel chains and certainly not a mark against this particular incredible establishment.

Pros: - Stilish hotel, - Beautiful and Spacious room. - Outpoor pool with amazing view. - Staff kindness. - Amazing location in the middle of the temple valley.
Cons: - Limited choices of western food at breakfast. - No night time activities and entertainment, no one to talk to at the concierge. - Air Conditioning very noisy in the room. -
6.0 Good
Pros: Good breakfast
Cons: The room was very dated.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Air conditioning
Cons: Bath tub is very dirty, room facilities need a big upgrade. Nobody to help with our luggages upon check in. Had to bring our luggages up the long flight of stairs. Gym also in very poor condition.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Probably the most beautiful hotel and the biggest room ever.
Cons: Didn't liked the fact that there wasn't anything around the hotel: reataurants, taxis, tuktuk
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very quiet and nice layout of the villas. The swimming pool and the restaurant with the view on some pagodas are awesome. Friendly staff. The viewing tower is also very convenient to watch sunrise/sunset.
Cons: A bit more diversity in the breakfast choices would be nice for this kind of hotel.
6.3 Good
Pros: The pool and the view are the total worth of this hotel, unfortunately nothing else.
Cons: The bathtub was not working and extremely dirty because the glass roof was leaking when it was raining. We booked a room with a terrace and a view but we were second row so there was no view. Prices are extremelly high comparing to other places and totally not worth it. Also when we rent a motorbike the people from the hotel told us that it's fully charged and we don't have to charge it until the next day. Of course it left us in the middle of nowhere we barely made it to somewhere with pushing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and amazing place...
Cons: Nothing, it was perfect...
7.9 Good
Pros: Location, design, spaces
Cons: Cleanliness, rooms
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place to stay! Our room had a balcony that overlooks at some pagodas that it was just amazing to have. The suite was big, luxurious, clean and comfy. Best choice we could have made. The staff helped in organising a birthday surprise too which was much appreciated.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: We very much enjoyed the tranquility and the beautiful garden. The manager gave us a room upgrade and let us check out late which was much appreciated. The room was very comfortable and spacious. Breakfast had a good choice. We were able to rent ebikes just at the entrance to the hotel for 5000 each. Staff were very polite and friendly. Pool is a godsend, gorgeous!
Cons: Not many restaurants or other people nearby, especially at this quiet time of year. But you can take the ebike to Nyaung U for more choices.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice environment with fresh air. Breakfast is excellent.
Cons: From my room cannot see the outside because the window is forested glass. The location is a bit far from the center of new Bagan.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice and clean rooms. The personnel was very helpful. Restaurant and pool were great for relax by the end of the day
8.5 Excellent
Cons: Restaurant prices were over the top
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very friendly, the room was large, clean and had everything you could need. Much better than it looks in the photos
Cons: The morning we left there was not a buffet breakfast which is fine but our orders took so long, over 30 minutes, we had to leave as we had a plane to catch.
6.7 Good
Pros: Good location close to pagodas, however outside of the main city (where most restaurants are). Nice pool and restaurant for dinner.
Cons: They have to significantly work on cleaning: dirty towels on a regular basis (with stains), room not cleaned consistently (floors were left dirty in the bathroom) and worse of all was the sewage smell in the bathroom (in superior rooms at least) which made it really difficult to bare (reception provided some incense to cover the smell). We were upgraded for the last night in the deluxe room, which was much better (at least the bathroom smell was not in these rooms). Overall 3 stars hotel, definitely not 4, at least for superior rooms ( booking.com should do something about it). Superior rooms did not have sofa and seating area as per rooms details on the booking.com website and this should be remediated.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I like the surrounding and the place is super quite and clean. Staff very helpful and they have good english, not easy to find in Myanmar unfortunately. Price very good for the quality offered Plus the food at the restaurant was very good!
Cons: none
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely everything. Great and very helpfull staff, super location, beautiful views. Superb E-bike rental 100m from resort.
Cons: Prices in restaurant little bit to high. Especially for drinks.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The environment was nice, the room was large and the swimming pool was beautiful.
Cons: Service could really be improved. We had to repeat every order because they did not listen. On the second day, we had to request many time for the room to be made up, since it had not been cleaned until 5 pm. Breakfast is not good and it is the same menu every morning. The door of the room did not lock properly. And, finally, the hotel should do something about Chinese tourists going all dressed up in the swimming pool without taking a shower first and then loudly spitting in the pool....
7.9 Good
Pros: The manager at the resort was an extremely kind lady who went out of the way to make our stay special. Her attentiveness made a huge difference to our stay. She even gave us great recommendations when we needed and had special Indian breakfast for us. Kirthika Ranjeet
Cons: The manager who was a very attentive lady.

Pros: The rooms are very big, comfortable and clean. They clean the rooms very thoroughly everyday. The location is good, near the Jetty and near the centre. You can rent bikes.
Cons: The staff and management wasn't as friendly as we are used to here in Myanmar. But they did make a Myanmar breakfast for us.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location is good, near local market. Breakfast is so nice!
Cons: Space was not big.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The accomodation is located next to the centre with markets, shops and restaurants nearby. The room was cozy and spotlessly clean. AC and hot water worked well and the bed was comfortable. They have a power generator. Daily maid service was offered. Breakfast was quite good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The have e-bikes for rent and they let me store my bicycle inside the building.
Cons: I booked a two person e-bike for two days. The first day was fine, but on the second day it was gone and they wanted to give me a one person e-bike even though I had already paid the higher price for the two person's. That's not nice! After insisting I had to wait some time until they brought another one. There was no kettle inside the room and no hot water dispenser in the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly and kind. Free and fast internet. Comfortable bed and tranquil room. Bath and toilet inside bedroom. Universal energy plug. Very delicious breakfast. Good location.
Cons: The property charges $ 1000 kyat for a local map that has many ads. Hotels used to give local maps for guests for free because it is the commercial establishments around that pay for the printing of the portfolio. I did not understand why I had to pay for it.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent service, breakfast, room, and location. The friendly staffs allowed us to have a shower before we check in and also to wait in the lobby after we checked out.
Cons: Some of the staffs don't speak English. The AC and TV remote doesn't work sometimes due to loose batteries.

Cons: no hot water
7.9 Good
Pros: Big comfortable bed. Good cold air con. Big powerful generator for when the power is out. Great breakfast. Rented E bike for 8k per day.
Cons: Bathroom was smelly. Pillows uncomfortable. No hot water. Booked us on the worst and most uncomfortable bus transfer to Mandalay.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Room is comfy and spacious Lockers are available at the receptionist to put your valuables. Prices or tours and bike rental is also quite reasonable.
Cons: Totally No privacy. Rather than single beds, I rather it is advertised as a room. Not that it was reflected incorrectly on booking.com. But just a suggestion :)

Pros: Very friendly staff, beautiful hotel, nice swimming pool, quiet garden, great breakfast.
Cons: We booked this hotel after a long trekking, and imagined ourselves having cocktails at the swimming pool. But despite the many pictures with cocktails/drinks advertised on all websites and folders, they didn't sell any drinks/there was no bar. Quite disappointing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place and service, the pool, the e-bikes... had a blast !
Cons: No water at disposal, but the reception offers free bottles on demand
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely big rooms, right by the pool
Cons: Pool very dirty on arrival as no one staying in pool..but once we mentioned it they worked hard to bring it up to a beautiful pool which we enjoyed
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff is very helpful. Pool is clean and nice. Location is convenient.
Cons: Their cheaper rooms are very basic and need a lot of renovation. There are no daylight curtains and the only window faces the main alley (that is true for all rooms though, but next level up will have daylight curtains). All towels are stained, but that is due to Bagan's dust, you cannot avoid it.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely little hotel. We had a room which faced a little garden and path that lead to the pool. Pool was very clean and wonderful to refresh ourselves! Staff extremely helpful despite language barrier, provided fresh filtered water on request and allowed early check in at 4.30am as we arrived off the night bus, and late check out in the evening before we left on another night bus! Breakfast was alright - fresh fruit and fresh cooked eggs were good. Room was a good size, air con worked very well, bed comfortable.
Cons: The shower. Water pressure was very disappointing.

Pros: The Oasis was great! Literally an oasis. I'd come back baked from a day of temple hopping and jump right in the pool. Instant relief! And I had it to myself. The staff was fantastic: polite, efficient, knowledgeable. The setting was lovely.
Cons: There was no bureau - hard to keep things organized in the room without one.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Really a nice oasis close to Bagan temple area. Simple and elegant, cosy small hotel designed with taste and attention to details around 15 years ago. It has a relaxed atmosphere and the staff is taking care and welcomes the customer from the very check in and for all the staying. Quiet and spacious rooms with simple and beautiful furniture. Nice little swimming pool shaded by palms, frangipani, flowers and plants. We were granted a super late check out that allowed us to use to swimming pool after a full day out visiting temples. The hotel rents out electric bykes for a cheap rate. A must to go and see temples and pagodas! Nice breakfast buffet with healthy choices and a view on the small charming garden with squirrels playing around. We will definitely go back!

4.2 Okay
Pros: The location is amazing and features two real ancient temple.
Cons: Really messy overall, had big communications problem with the staff which hardly speaks english. Dirty rooms and below the average of hotels I have been in Myanmar. Had to change 3 rooms before finding one clean and working. Price is exaggerated, costs more than Excelsior in Yangon.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked the location, the gorgeous surroundings including the world heritage pagodas on premises. It was quiet and peaceful and a great placer to watch sunset from.
Cons: We had a junior suite and the lighting in the sitting area was very dim. Hard to read by, but the lighting in the bedroom was fine. It would have been nice to have a place to hang some washed clothes which we did due to the high cost of laundry.

Pros: Location and was spectacular overlooking the Irrawaddy. Staff was super attentive. Food was really good. Beer was very cold. Offseason rates were low. Would recommend this hotel strongly.
Cons: Nothing

Cons: Services are a bit expensive (ebike, busticket, laundry)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Clean, comfortable. The breakfast had good variety and tasty food. The breakfast courtyard was pretty and peaceful. They were very helpful in getting us rental e-bikes, and a taxi. We were happy. The hotel felt "native", not a cookie cutter place, and at the same time a retreat from the dusty aspects of Bagan, after a day of sightseeing.
Cons: I'd prefer privacy glass in the bathroom window, rather than only relying on its being above eye level.
6.7 Good
Pros: Staff is helpful. Buffet breakfast. Room is spacious and clean. There are a lot of store and restaurant near by.
Cons: Breakfast is just so so No TV signal I chose a room with double bed but they gave me a room with twin bed Power went out quite a lot during the night They forgot to mention that JJ express pick up bus didn't come to my hotel but another one and I missed the bus
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Superb location, just 2 minutes off the main road walking. Staff was very helpful, room was kept clean and air con was a godsend.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Room is spacious. Breakfast is delicious. There is a space for verandah in front of each room and it's like we are staying in bungalow. The price is resonable.
Cons: The Wifi is a little poor. Room lightning should be upgrade. When we reached there, the lobby and reception is under renovation.
6.3 Good
Pros: Clean and big rooms.
Cons: Hotel is not finished. No Lobby. Still under construction. If you arrive early in the morning you will have to wait outside and freaz.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location! On a very quiet and not dusty street in New Bagan (which is precious in this area). At walking distance from nice restaurants, spas and shops, you can conveniently hire an e-bike at the hotel. Rooms were spacious, nicely furnished, with warm lights and spotless clean. Staff speaks little english, but enough to answer all your needs.
Cons: They changed our room after two days without warning. The second room had no WiFi which was a little annoying. Wifi works better in the rooms close to the reception. Breakfast is very poor.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was one of The best in Myanmar; really big and clean. Breakfast was delicious with lots of options. The staff was amazingly nice. They helped to book the next stop in our trip and saved our holidays. The location is perfect with lots of restaurants around for dinner (I recommend 7 sisters).
Cons: Nothing ... the place was amazing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast area is really nice. Lot of choice at the buffet. Easy to transport thanks to the available e-bike.
Cons: The water in the bathroom was not hot.
4.8 Okay
Pros: - decent breakfast - due to overbooking we got upgraded to a family room, which wasn't better, just larger. - bed was large and comfortable - simple but good shower
Cons: - Our bathroom was clean, but OLD with nasty corners etc - There was no chair or table in the room - The AC was very noisy - The yard in front of our room wass an ugly construction/maintenance area - wifi was mediocre like everywhere
