Such a peaceful and beautiful setting. Perfect for a few days of relaxing. Just wish that we stayed longer. Food was also good 28$ for 2 course dinner and 35$ for 3 course, changing menu each night. The staff really made the stay. They were amazing and wanted to help at any opportunity, always with a smile on their face. We would be lying on the beach and offered a drink just at the right moment. Thanks so much

Didn’t dislike anything during our stay. Only slight frustration was the taxi prices which were very high in comparison to any other hotel we have stayed at in Zanzibar. Just hope the drivers received most of the money.

Excellent hotel. Potentially, the best place I have ever stayed and I travel often. The welcome from all the staff was wonderful and continued throughout the stay, from the waitresses taking drinks and food orders at the pool and beach, to the dinner waiters and bar staff. Shout out to the guys who carried our suitcases on their shoulders across the beach to our room as well. We stayed in both a garden view and beach front bungalow and both were incredible, great comfortable beds, and stunning views of the beach. The infinity pool was incredible and the beach was idyllic. The food was very good, and breakfast included had both a buffet and an a la carte menu. The food was fresh and tasty and very reasonably priced. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, it is in a more secluded quiet part of pongwe but you can organise excursions and taxis either yourself or through the hotel, there are also boat tours, but it was tranquil and paradise and I cannot wait to go back. The room also came with beach bags, towels and large rim hats, as well as robes. WiFi was good, there are also printing facilities, a computer and a library in reception. There was also fresh fruit free every afternoon, including coconuts, and free coffee and tea facilities in the restaurant all day.

This was a perfect place to stay, if I was nitpicking the only thing I missed in the room was a hairdryer, but not at all an issue.

What a place! We stayed here for a couple of nights to finish off our honeymoon tour, and we were so glad we picked it. The location is stunning- the beach is basically private and is a little paradise, free of beach boys unlike the north beaches. The tidal shift is large, which means you can walk out really far in the shallow water and enjoy the views/look for crabs! Drinks including fresh coconuts served to your lounger if desired. The room was lovely - very clean and full with lovely little touches to welcome us. Decent shower, could have been a little more powerful but that's being picky, and a very comfortable bed. The food was delicious- lots of choice for breakfast and good coffee, tasty lunch options, and the three course dinners were fantastic. Delicious fresh fruit, pastries and coffee is also served every day around 3pm. We also had a dinner on the beach one night which felt really special, although we struggled to finish the sea food platter as it was enormous! All the staff were so kind and welcoming too, they really allowed us to make the most of our short time there. Overall would thoroughly recommend.

    Nothing of note.

Location: Beach beach in Zanzibar we saw and you really felt like it was private to the resort. Staff: were incredibly helpful. Coming from a non-tipping country, the tipping at the end of the trip process kept things simpler. Facilities: grounds, restaurant and pool were beautiful. Particularly liked the inclusion of a library and games to play. Food: was expensive but good.

Room: We booked the private pool bungalow with ocean views thinking it would be a lot more private then what it was given the price. Our bungalow shared an adjoining wall with other another bungalow and windows have no glass (mesh). It also was close to the next resort. So all sorts of sounds were making there way into our room at night. All the private pool bungalows have the public resort pool In between them and the beach views and it’s all open so there isn’t really anything private about it. If I had my time again I would book the other beach front bungalows that were less expensive without the private pool.

The boutique style and privacy of this resort is a must for couples and families. Being a couple of male friends it provided a great chance to relax and unwind with a good book, burger and beer. Well appointed villas and a fabulous balance of staff to guest ratio

Second last day got extremely ill and lost a day an a half. Did not inform hotel until i was up and about.
