Lounge access was nice to have free breakfast in. Hotel explained the situation when I got upgraded to a concierge-level room but was not entitled to the free breakfast with my reward programme tier, but was very kind enough to let it slide and gave me lounge access anyway.
Its event/meeting/convention center general manager, who may have also been the entire property's general manager, has a hot-headed attitude problem that is not only rude and unprofessional, but unwarranted and handled in a way that would make me never want to attend an event that takes place or involves staying at this property ever again. I would advise that to anyone else.
The location was good and the grounds around the hotel were nicely maintained.
1. I travel almost every week and this was by far the most unfriendly staff that I ever meet. This included front desk, security, housekeeping, wait staff and door men. 2. Broken iron that leaked caused a painful burn on my leg (twice). Yes.. Im stupid for using it twice but never imagined a hotel that costs $500 a night would have a dangerous, broken iron in the room. I reported it to the front desk, after waiting in line for 3 or 4 minutes, to ensure that no other guests were burnt. The front desk attendant did not care and i watched to see if she would even note it. She did not!! Never apologized, never asked if I was ok, nothing. 3. Restaurant waitress was shocking rude. 4. Housekeeping was also rude 5. My colleague lost an item and went to the front desk to claim it as he had been told earlier that security had located it. When he mentioned this the the front desk agent, the agent picked up the phone and handed it to my colleague who asked why he handed to him. The agent said in a very condescending tone, “ You wanted security, RIGHT?” 6. My room was right next to the elevator (rm 4001). I was up all night with not only the noise but the vibration of the elevators going up and down. Will never stay there again. Gerry

The location, room quality, and service are excellent. A great option for business travel.
The only downside is that vegan options are very limited at hotel restaurants, and there are no veg restaurants within walking distance. However, Manhattan Market, a convenience store less than a block away from the hotel, has a vegan prepared food section.
It was quiet and comfortable
I was told check out was at 5 pm and then charged late checked out. I had to rush my check out because the front desk person denied what he said in the beginning. In the end, he did not charge me because I rushed out the hotel. It wasn't. Profesional nor accommodating.
Great area, lacking hotel
We stayed here for 6 nights and LOVED the area. It is right next to a metro stop which was so convenient for getting around. There are a ton of great restaurants in the area. Lots of options for dining for many meals. There is also a little grocery store nearby which was convenient to get a few small groceries. We did have a small fridge in our room.
The beds and pillows were not comfortable. The hotel itself was not a bad price, but all of the food options, etc. we're very expensive. I came back to our room while it was being cleaned and asked the housekeeper to leave my water bottle (just a plastic throw away one but I was planning on refilling it to carry around with me), she refused to leave it and walked away from me to throw it away. I was very put off by this interaction so we put our privacy sign on for the rest of our stay. The food from the convenience store on site was not very good at all.

The first room they put me in was one of the worst in the hotel, on the first floor right next to a very busy, noisy street. The noise was so bad I got hardly any sleep. No one should be put anyone in a room like that, particularly when they are staying 4-5 nights. The next day I had to get pretty assertive with the staff at the front desk that I wasn't staying in the room another night, and needed to be switched. They claimed they didn't have any rooms available, but when I asked to see a manager, they were able to locate another room instantly. After two separate trips to the front desk, they finally moved my room.
Close to where I needed to be. Good amenities on site. Bed was comfortable, not luxurious, but fine for a night or two. Price was great, I assume marked down for slower holiday time while there was no business travel.
It's a great location. Near metro and plenty of great places to eat.
Walls are paper thin. Had very noisy neighbors. Called staff but did not help.
