We loved our room and the view was amazing. More selection at breakfast would have been nice.

The location, friendly service especially from the front desk staff, the Venetian styling, comfortable beds. Loved breakfast on the terrace overlooking the gondolas on the Grand Canal. Loved that we were only minutes away from San Marco piazza and of course, practically under the Rialto Bridge., plus close to vaporetto stops, shops, cafes and restaurants. The front desk staff found a Vivaldi concert for me on our first night, which was fabulous. I was very happy about that. I would come back to this hotel
Despite checking on the hotel website there was a lift in the hotel, as I struggle with stairs, it didn’t stop at the floor of the room we were allocated. So we had to change rooms as I struggled with going up and down the 2 flights of steep stairs. The room one we ended up in ( at such short notice, to be fair) was much more cramped than our original and we only had a view of a brick wall which was a bit depressing. If I had realised the lift situation, I would have alerted the hotel to my problem with steps far earlier and may have been able to arrange a nicer room. Perhaps that could be clearer on the website? Our bathroom was also tiny with an enclosed shower which my friend struggled with as she is a big lady. So we were a little disappointed..but it didn’t ruin the holiday. Venice is so lovely We also never quite got the hang of the air conditioning and could have done with a written guide ( in English)

Super bed and bedding - great air con and view from front facing room spectacular - realy quiet when windows and shutters closed at night.
Traditional e.g. carpets, maze of stairs, shower poor and floor tiles cracked
