Staff is excellent- from valet to reception and especially the bartending staff and management. Pedro (front desk) in particular was very professional (and gorgeous!!! is he single?). We had the most exquisite drinks at the first floor lounge. The drinks menu is superb. Room service was prompt and delicious (pizzas recommended!).
We picked the spot largely because of the outdoor heated pool, which we intended to use in the early evening on NYE. Around 8/9pm when we went, the pool was entirely over-run by a group of families and their MANY children-literally a 1:4 adult to child ratio-doing cannonballs, shrieking and running around, as kids do. The hot tub was entirely populated by this group of people for over an hour. We would have come later in the evening but the pool hours only go until 10pm. Obviously this doesn't reflect on the hotel, as all guests are free to enjoy the amenities, but perhaps the management can look into a 'curfew' for the pool so that adults can enjoy some privacy and quiet.

Despite to large breakfast place the options were limited, I don’t know why they don’t serve high quality breakfast buffet in Canada.

There are some excellent reasons to visit British Columbia, but when you are looking for a great place to just simply sit down and enjoy the view, few places can top Vancouver. The Fairmont Pacific Rim is a great luxury hotel for a variety of reasons. The first is the view. Vancouver has amazing views of the harbor and the mountains in the background. There is also beds that are made with high thread count sheets and rooms that have everything you could ever want. The hotel itself has a great location in the heart of the city, and the pool is amazing. With a CAA/AAA Four Diamond Rating, you know this hotel has everything.
Dining in Vancouver is great for all types of folks. If you love a certain cuisine, Vancouver has it for you. The hotel has some great dining options. Botanist is one of the best restaurants in the entire city, and you can also enjoy a more casual setting at the Lobby Lounge and Rawbar. Whatever your food desire, you can get the best dining within a short walk from the hotel.
The Fairmont Pacific Rim is an excellent place to stay when you are looking to see the very best of British Columbia’s largest city.
