i love that my favorite coffee place topeca is in the hotel the location is great you can walk to most of the places you want to go, the bed and pillows are extremely comfortable the staff was very helpful with anything I needed. There was a couple spots of blood on the toilet in the bathroom and poopie crumbs that weren't flushed all the way out. I didn't make a big deal tho I just wiped it off with some sanitizer and tissue.
Pool had no no water. Shower had no hot water.
Our family was in town for a convention- very accommodating staff, nice clean rooms. The cafe was excellent, evening bar was mediocre. The property is isolated if you're walking, no restaurants, bars etc within reasonable walking distance.
Clean and updated $10 parking didn't know about it until arrival and the $50 additional fee that was charged which was to go toward possible fees. Would have liked to know about it prior to booking.
We were so very grateful to the desk clerk who took time to help us was when she was busy. I have never been in a hotel room that had so many electrical outlets for recharging all our devises. In addition to many wall outlets, most of the table lamps were fitted with recharging plugs. The bed was unusually comfortable. I usually regard a hotel's immense pile of decorator pillows as "unsleepable," but these were great.
The location was great for what we needed. The girl at the front desk was great. Great view from the roof. The window ledges were filthy. The windows did not open. There was an air vent out in the hall blowing horrible smelling air right on the room door so we got a face full every time we entered or left the room.
The staff was extremely helpful. One member named David was exceptional in politeness & answering questions. The courtesy shuttle was exactly what we needed for our couple's weekend. Temporary inconvenience, I'm sure, but construction in the parking deck made parking tedious.
The bed was very good Extremely moldy!!!
We could walk to lots of different places for shopping, dining, and entertainment. I also liked that we could watch our Netflix account on the tv. No.
Location Lack of parking. Price
I found the facilities to be very clean and welcoming. The entrance to the building gave you a feeling of stepping back in time, and the door greeters were quick to give you a grand entrance. Honestly, for the price for my room, I found the room to be of higher stature than many I've had in previous travels. The bed was comfortable, not a rock; the lighting was bright or dark by choice, the climate control worked the way it was supposed to work, and there was ample room for me and my other. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for quick access to downtown Tulsa and a quiet place to relax in between outings. The only thing I didn't like wasn't even necessarily a dislike, but rather a potential downside - parking. The hotel has valet parking, but not a lot of open parking. It's not a huge shock as the building is located in downtown Tulsa. If you opt for this location, I would suggest arriving early enough to catch a parking spot on the street (on the weekend) for free parking. Otherwise plan on paying for the valet service or have a bit of a walk to get back to the hotel.
This is not typical for a Marriott hotel! First room had a broken thermostat and wet carpet from a water leak. Couldn't sleep the first night because of the thermostat issue. Second room didn't have hot water. The staff said I needed to run the water for 20 minutes because it's an old building. Unfortunately I had done that and didn't get even warm water. I don't like cold showers!
