Hotel Isabel

We just got back from 13 nights in hotel Isabel and thought the hotel was great there are a few minor negatives but all in all just needs a bit of tweaking to be perfect. On arrival the 1st impressions were lovely clean hotel on sea front the staff were really helpful and friendly to us all the communal areas are spotless and cleaning staff are on the go all day every day the pool area is perfect for couples and adults no real facilities for kids which is good as plenty of other hotels for family this was nice and peaceful round pool the kids that were there seemed to enjoy it as well the rooms are nice and spacious with great views we had side room still had great view and nice balcony we would definitely recommend the hotel and it’s location is ideal for bars restaurants etc. Food looked great and everyone who ate there said it was good although we never even had a pool bar and we never once struggled for a sun bed.

Now for the tweaking !!! Air con very dated and not great seems to have one level and that’s not the best. Beds are not comfortable at all and neither are the pillows just need better quality mattresses and pillows and that would be perfect The pool bar needs more staff when busy as the young girl on more than one occasion but especially on our last day when busy got very flustered and damn right rude to paying customers not our problem she’s tired and overworked we are paying customers and do not need to know their issues keep it professional and away from paying guests. On the last day there was a group of 6 of us sitting round pool all day enjoying ourselves every time we asked for drinks were told we had to wait 10 minutes 1st time half an hour 2nd time and 3rd time was nearly an hour and to be told I’m busy you need to wait is just bloody rude but don’t be put off the hotel by this part of review i felt I had to write it as it’s part of experience but it was 1 member of staff under pressure ( no excuse ). the walls are quite thin as one evening at 10pm we were in our room chatting and laughing when neighbour in room 210 decided to knock on wall to tell us to keep noise down it was only 10pm and we were not loud and next day at 11 am I was on balcony taking business call when same lady from 210 decided to knock on glass partition and said to keep noise down this time I was not so pleasant back I did report to I think he was manager anyway he said he would deal with it and he must have as heard no more from them this is not hotels fault.
