Location, dining, pool and lobby area, staff behavior, all done professionally and tastefully. The room was beautifully decorated and had a comfortable bed and classy bathroom. The buffet breakfast was excellent, so many choices! There were no armed guards, military police, dirty sheets or anything even close to what a previous reviewer said. Although the street was very busy, it was easy to walk across to the mall. The mall is comparable to anything in the US. It was being set up for Christmas with attractive decorations. Overall, it was a great experience. If you're staying in Tegucigalpa this place would be my top recommendation. Crossing the street to mall is having to step between two lanes of cars without a true pedestrian crossing. It didn't really bother me, but I could imagine if I had kids, it would be a little frightening.
We stayed in a king suite. Great price/value. One of most comfortable beds in a hotel. The king suite was great for my fiance who was recuperating from medical procedures. The bedroom had a big flat screen tv and arm chair with ottomon. The common area had a kitchenette/bar with a mini fridge; also a dining table for 4, and separate seating area with sectional couch and another flat screen tv. Good variety of food on the hotel menu which is available 24/7. AMAZING complimentary buffet breakfast with the most delicious fresh fruits and fruit juices. Nice gym with great views! Roof top pool and bar with gorgeous views. Excellent staff. They offered my fiance a wheelchair multiple times when they saw him walking uncomfortably. I would absolutely stay at this hotel again. in fact, this is the best Hyatt i've ever seen! There's nothing i didn't like. Only a balcony could have improved it, as the city and views were so gorgeous!
I really enjoyed the staff!! Front desk, entrance people, and especially the spa staff. I had one of the best spa treatments there for the money...a Mother's Day special. (I am from a resort town in US - so, I have something to compare it to.) Excellent dinning experience in both places. Maybe wish they had an English channel on the TV....
