I love the fact that the hotel is a 15 min walk from the festival that was held this past weekend. My girlfriend and I have been going to sunset music festival for three years now. And every year we have stayed at your hotel. The pool area and the gazebo are a beautiful area to spend the mornings. Well this year was the worst visit we have had. To begin with on our first day both elevators where broken. Then we get to our room and the door is already open, we checked into a room that wasn't complete. Bed wasn't made and our towels weren't in the bath room, I tried to ask a room attendant but nobody spoke English, so I asked the manger for our towels and bed to be completed. Then I went to the ice machine on my floor (1st) two other individuals where trying to get ice and the machine wasn't working. So we went to the desk and asked about ice, The manager told us floor 1 and 4 had ice. We told her that floor 1 was out. So now I have to hike up four flights of stairs to get my ice. Well sure enough that ice machine wasn't dispensing ice, OK now I have to go to the gas station to buy ice. Which is the first time ever. I have never stayed in a hotel that didn't have ice!!!! Well then the. Time came for us to go to the festival. We left and came back around 1230am, this festival had over 50,000 people, which to my understanding is is fairly huge show. Last year the manager on duty let us use the pool side as long as we had kept the noise down at time we did get a little bit loud and she would remind us. This year your manager and security personal were so rude to all of us. I understand that pool hours and rules. But when a bunch of young couples help sell almost every room in your hotel, there should be a middle ground. The security guard was trying to tell us that we couldnt be out of our rooms and roaming. I'm sorry but I am a father who is taking a weekend away and your telling me I have to be in my ROOM!! No way josè, I was so disappointed, we ended leaving our hotel and went to the Marriott behind the stadium, where a couple of friends where staying. The hotel was packed with people from sunset, we where allowed to hangout with out being bothered. Come to find out there hotel has room service and was over a hundred dollars cheaper than our. We get back to the hotel around 630am for breakfast. The pancake machine was not working, there was no cranberry juice and the 2% milk was all slimy. Being a sous chef of a local restaurant that was completely disappointing. This weekend stay at the holiday inn was a disaster. Next year for our festival we will be looking for a other hotel and consider other options. I hope someone important reads this.
I loved the proximity to the Yankees Training complex, Dale Mabry highway, and the airport. The king size room was very clean and spacious. I loved the lake and surrounding walkway for a late night stroll. The staff was friendly and helpful. Great all around value. The included breakfast didn't have any hot prepared items but was enough to get by for a quick breakfast. The sign for the hotel was not lit at night making it particularly difficult to tell where it was for someone not familiar with the area. I'm not sure if it is out of the Tampa Stadium Hotel's control but the abandoned Lander's steakhouse in the front is a real eyesore and almost completely shields the hotel from street view. Lastly, the water pressure in our shower was below par.
The price Location Staff Comfy Bed The curtains were old and ripped The shower head was dirty Hand soap was not in my bathroom A/C was really dirty
It was clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Not Holiday Inn anymore. No room safe. Staff in training, so operator didn't know how to cancel a wake up call. This will probably be remedied shortly, but inconvenient for me.
Nothing It's not even a holiday inn express. It's dirty and smelly. The front desk people are not friendly. Worse trip ever
Common areas are open, bright, and clean. Breakfast area is large and comfortable. Attractive entry, lots of parking out front. Good internet with hard-wire connection in the room. Good location. I stayed here years ago when it was Holiday Inn Express. The place shows a lot of wear since then. The draperies were ripped so you could not completely shut out light. There were two towels but no hand towels, no washcloths.
Location was good. Nice to have breakfast included. The facilities need a lot of help. It looks like they haven't put any maintainance into the building for a few years. Our shower was broken, there were dents in the walls, paint chipping, and holes in the curtains.
My only problem is the hotel does nothing about out of control guests. A man on our floor was screaming & threatening someone at 2am. The front desk said they would send security but there is no guard. We had to hear this fool yell for over an hour
Staff was very nice Didn't like the breakfast
I was very happy with the motel. it was convienient , the room was nice, thay had a good breakfast, and everyone went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. I have not been to Tampa for aprox 20 years and I was happy that I chose this Holiday Inn. I am sure I will return to this hotel when I come to Tampa. I will also recommend to others that want to visit the area.
I was happy with the location It was easy to get a room Not fancy but decent value for the money and fairly clean. It had a mildew type smell when you first walked in the room, but when you were in there for awhile you didn't notice it. I was hoping that the continental breakfast would have been a little better, since that is one of the reasons I choose that location.
The location First room they gave me smelled like an sewer then they gave me another room with the air conditioning leaking water everywhere then when I finally got anot her room that smelt ok it didn't have any towel in it and when I asked for towels they didn't have any. And I didn't get any towels the whole weekend I had to go buy some towels. I saw housekeeping and she said she was going to bring me some towels she came back with two hand towels and said that's all they have. If I hadn't prepaid online I would have went to another hotel
Relatively cheap, good location. Found two cockroaches in room. Sheets were not clean had human hair on them even after being changed. The wall mad a rattling noise constantly furring the whole trip. The toilet made a dripping sound the whole time and the refrigerator did not work. Overall a horrible experience!
Location and comfortable. Nothing
No wifi in rooms. Had been out several days. Tv not working either.
Price and proximity to Tampa Intl Airport. Low price. Nothing outrageously negative, considering we stayed only one night and the price was very reasonable. We had low expectations. Thank you.
Great price, clean room Very bad area of town , didn't really feel safe. First night something happened and there were 8 cop cars parked by the lobby. Somone tried our door a couple of times. Not sure if Id stay here again
Room was dirty. There was soiled towels on the floor in the bathroom. The bed was not made up. Smelled like a bar.
The closeness of the motel to the stadium. It was a 1/2 Mille walk, so that wasn't too bad. During the two-night stay of $97 per night, I killed 9 roaches between the sink and the bathroom. There was no wifi where I was at. The phone had been ripped from the wall with a gaping hole to the room next door. When I needed ice, I was told to go to the hotel next door and ask him, since there were no working ice machines. Worst hotel stay ever!
Location is great if you are in town for Buccaneers or Yankees. Also very convenient to airport. I stayed here 10 years ago. Then it was nice. Unfortunately NOTHING has changed including the TV that looks like it's from 1995 and only gets about 10 channels. Very dark at night. Key didn't work for my room and staff wouldn't believe me, insisting I did something wrong. After 3 trips to the lobby they finally gave me another room. Staff also told me they had "no non-smoking rooms" available...even though hotel was less than half full.
It was in a pretty good location, but that was about it. You get what you pay for, which obviously isn't WiFi, plus I had tiny little ants running around. But the bed appeared to be clean and wasn't too uncomfortable so that's something.
