The lobby was very beautiful all open with a nice view of the bay The first room I was in had a very lumpy bed. The next room was okay except that the shower had a bad smell, musty moldy. The other thing is that the hotel was still under renovation since last January, I was hoping to be in the renovated part but was told there was only one bed, so we had to stay in the older part. Also the fruit flies on the fruit wasn't good.
Older style but very large, clean and comfortable rooms. Good, convenient location. Friendly and warm staff who make it feel like home. Excellent value for money for a Suva hotel. It reminds me of a nice, friendly Australian country motel - the sort of place I really enjoy staying at and would definitely come back to. Internet hotspot fast but not always reliable and not cheap. Better off to get a local simcard and a datapack from the phone company, which is cheaper.
The breakfast buffet was incredible. We really enjoyed sitting out on the patio, playing a game and not being hassled to buy more drinks in order to feel welcome there. The wood fired pizza was delicious. The staff was very friendly and we were allowed to leave our car in their parking area while we went to the museum after we had checked out. I would return. I can't think of anything, except they tried to charge us before we reminded them we had booked via Kayak.com and had already paid for the room. They were very apologetic once they realized their mistake.
I stayed at holiday Inn 10 years ago and then again in 2015. The staff is very friendly. The housekeeping staff were really accommodating. Although the hotel needs some up grading it is still decent. I stayed at other luxury hotels in Fiji compared to that holiday Inn was the best. Will stay here again. The gym was closed. Went next door to GPH. Wasn't too bad. Food is expensive. Small pizza for $40. Overpriced food. Wished they had Fijian food rather than American.
